Kommentare: Meine Erfahrung mit der WatchGuard Firebox war insgesamt gut. Sie bietet starke Sicherheitsfunktionen wie VPN und Intrusion Prevention, und die Bedienung ist relativ einfach, obwohl sie für Anfänger etwas komplex sein kann. Die Lizenzierung kann teuer werden, wenn man viele Zusatzfunktionen braucht. In großen Netzwerken kann die Leistung begrenzt sein, aber für mittelgroße Netzwerke ist sie sehr zuverlässig.

Kommentare: Excellent. I have used firewalls and network devices in the past that had horrible web interfaces (or none at all), or didn't offer everything that seemed to be necessary in network and internet filtering and tracking. The Firebox is--for lack of a better word--very enjoyable to use.
Vorteile:
Our WatchGuard Firebox has been up and running for years. It has an extremely user-friendly web-based interface, and has plenty of optional "addons" that can be purchased to give you as much or as little control and safety over your network and internet usage as you need.
Nachteile:
Some steps (like for example, opening up a port to the outside world to go to a specific device on your network) can sometimes feel overly complicated. Maybe it's all necessary, but sometimes there are a LOT of steps that have to be done just to accomplish what seems like a simple goal or task.

Kommentare: We started with a desktop model and over the years worked up to a rackmount M series. We always received good support for the few issues we had and always received what I felt were excellent value upgrade and tradeup prices
Vorteile:
For us it offers many enterprise level features at at SME price. The reliability of he hardware is oustanding - we had one hardware issue in 10 years and it was swapped overnight.
Nachteile:
The UI isn't sparkling but it does the job. The biggest shortcoming we had was lack of easy integration with Azure AD accounts using non Domain joined devices.
Reliable yet frustrating.

We've been using WatchGuard firewall appliances since 2010, and they are very reliable and efficient.
Nachteile:
I find their management software to be antiquated and very outdated! They have done a horrible job when it comes to modernizing the WatchGuard System Manager and using the Policy Manager and Firebox System Manager is an exercise is a very frustrating exercise! Contacting support is a painful process. We don't have a super expensive support subscription so it's time intensive to open a ticket with WatchGuard technical support. I also have a very difficult time wading through their support or community pages to find relevant information. Overall, it's very frustrating.

Kommentare: Excellent! WatchGuard provides hardware that does what the label says and offers professional technical support when needed.
Vorteile:
Being able to control the WatchGuard Firebox from the Cloud is essential in setting up and diagnosing VPN's between sites. The interface is easy to use and changes are easy to deploy.
Nachteile:
NOTHING! Everything that was required this box does easily and without continued supervision.
My experience with watchguard so far
Kommentare: I have been able to install quite large deployments, clusters and branch offices and the overall experience has been very good. They are every stable and tech support have assisted me on various tasks.
Vorteile:
The firewalls very flexible, easy to configure and can work in every scenario. Cluster setups are every stable.
Nachteile:
nothing really. What can be improved is the ssl vpn client which occasionally needs to be reinstalled on some PCs as it stops working

The antispam solution should be better, it needs to have a better environment for managing it and do more.

I've been using Watchguards for years and I still love the fact that you can upgrade from one to the next with such ease.
Nachteile:
The cost. They are great, but it's hard to sell them to customers because of the price. Also, the response from tech support has slowed a little bit over the last few years. When you create a case online, sometimes it's been over 24-48 hours before I get the first call back.

Kommentare: I like them and due to their ease of use will continue to do this. I have used these for about 22 years and as long as you update them and keep the hardware current I have yet to have a break in.
Vorteile:
Ease of use...ease of upgrading and transferring custom settings. I was able to update to a new model and transfer my settings in 5 minutes.
Nachteile:
I wish the EOL was a longer period of time. WatchGuard EOL's are short and I know the hardware is not EOL and would work fine for a longer period. They limit it with software. which I wish they would not do.

Kommentare: We've used Watchguard for about 15 years now. Good product over all EOL comes quickly, prices are high and support ok.

I like the ease of use, all in one subscription and offline configuration changes. It really is a good product.
Nachteile:
Technical support has unfortunately gotten worse. They used to be on point you'd call and get an actual tech. Now you get a customer service rep and hopefully get a call back sometime.

I like using the features included and with the subscription. I use the office VPN to connect my sites together.

The various analysis services (IPS, AV, Webblocker, etc.) update themselves, so you can trust the product and have peace of mind.

The commercial policy that forces you to use the Cloud (Wifi) and you get the impression that they're making their product obsolete with the latest update.
