Best way to accept Donations!

Kommentare: Donately helped our team a lot to get support from worldwide for our startups to kick start. Recommend it.

Vorteile:

They only charge a processing fee only, which is very small precentage. With these service, donators can donate via many options. And user can customize the donation page to match the need. Customer Service is really friendly and helpful.

Nachteile:

When Embedding form to other websites, sometimes getting issues. Need support to more services. Add features to support other currencies as well.

Easy to use and manage.

Kommentare: We had to find an online solution when the pandemic canceled our in-person walk in 2020. Donately was a great solution and allowed us to facilitate our first virtual walk, which we hosted simultaneously around the country.

Vorteile:

Setting up a Peer-to-Peer fundraiser takes just 2 minutes and is easy to navigate. We are able to set up campaigns for each of our regions so they can measure how they are doing as a team. Love that you have the option to upgrade/downgrade your subscription, as we only need the software for part of the year.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if there was a place for people to sign up to participate (like in a fundraiser walk) without creating their own fundraiser. It's been difficult to keep up with people who give and want to be a part of it but don't necessarily want to manage their own fundraiser. Also, for campaigns, it's great that we can create more than one, but there should be an option to feed up to the larger company tracker. Lastly, some of the reporting could be more detailed, and the amount raised should be easy to capture from one view to another.

Simple Easy To Use Solution

Kommentare: Its been okay and it does serve its purpose. Customer support is slow especially when you're trying to have a conversation with someone to answer all your questions. Forms aren't able to be customized which is especially disappointing with campaigns and peer to peer fundraising. There should be more templates for options on both the campaign and fundraiser angle. More importantly I wish there was a way that our campaigns could stay on our site and not bounce to the donately url. This serves its purpose and isn't horrible and given that the other options out there are massively more expensive then this seems like the right option for smaller non profits.

The quickest way to accept donations using Stripe

Kommentare: Donate.ly lets you accept one-time and recurring donations using an easy to configure platform. Fees are a very reasonable 3-4% depending on your use-case. It's quick to customise a secure page which you can embed on your website. It only supports USD at the moment but look forward to international currencies becoming available.

Donate.ly Solves Need

Kommentare: Donate.ly has allowed me to collect donations easily, both on the giver's end and on the administration end. I'm not sure right now what we would be using without it.

Vorteile:

The user/giver has no problem navigating to make a donation, and the interface looks very professional. It's very easy for the giver to use, and I appreciate there not being monthly fees for times when slow donations may not have covered the cost. The per-donation fees are reasonable and at or below what a competitor might charge. I'm just getting into the donation tracking tools now but they appear easy to navigate as well.

Nachteile:

I haven't been able to associate multiple bank accounts but that's a relatively minor issue.

Does the job of a donation page very well

Vorteile:

They are great for setting up a donation page for your nonprofit that only charges a percentage fee.

Nachteile:

I would like if they had a bit more functionality for white labeling and inserting into the website. The only way we were able to figure out how to insert the donation form into our wix website was by using a module that imported an html page. This worked fine but still had donately's branding so we had to put a white block over the top of the module to make it truly white labeled. All over it does the job though.

Strong Value; Clean Layout

Vorteile:

The low cost of this software is probably the most attractive piece of it all. It has a beautiful, simple layout for donors to utilize. Furthermore, it only costs a fraction of the price some its competitors charge.

Nachteile:

For our purposes, it was a perfect platform. (Any of the functionalities that we would have liked to have used were available with the upgraded version.)

Haven't run into any cons. Some of the tools and features I want to use are included in the free trail.

Great donation platform for nonprofits

Great for Small Non-profits

Kommentare: Donately has definitely helped us get the most out of our donations. Donately allowed us to set up an easy and nice looking web form on our site and effectively helps us manage donations.

Vorteile:

Donately is a fantastic tool to use for small non-profits. It is affordable and helps better manage donations. The web forms are also attractive and I like the custom options for email automation and receipts. Donately easily integrated with Stripe and was set-up in no time.

Nachteile:

I was there was more options for sending automated emails after donations and getting notifications to multiple email addresses.

Perfect for our gap year between CRMs

Vorteile:

In between upgrading our CRMs, a process we knew would take a couple years, we were looking for a nimble and affordable product to manage our online donations. Donately was ideal for this purpose! Customer service was always immediate and top notch, and the product was routinely improving, inspired by what I can only assume was customer feedback. From a UX perspective I vastly prefer Donately, but ultimately a product that speaks directly to our CRM is best for our organization's fundraising goals.

Nachteile:

More developed self-help resources would have been useful when we first implemented Donately, but customer service was so expedient that this never really caused any issues.

Overall very satisfied!

Kommentare: Coming into using Donately, we didn't really have anything else to compare it to as this is our first go at an online donor database. There are a lot of positives of Doantely (including the automatic receipts, it is so easy to use, our donors seem to like it so far!) and a few things our team has found challenging. (isn't really clear on how donors can log-in on their own and change information, can't easy merge contacts..etc.) But anything we haven't liked, your team has been so willing to try and implement the changes as quick as possible. We LOVE that you all are so easy to get ahold of.

Nachteile:

Not as clear on how donors can re-access their log-in. We have had donors accidentally create multiple accounts which then can't be merged into one.

Pretty satisfied

Kommentare: Donately has been pretty good to us so far. I like the simplicity of it. I'd give it four stars in terms of simplicity of use because of the need to be a bit more technically savvy to be able to modify the donation pages and what not. We haven't gotten there yet and the improvements we need to make haven't been done because of the need to get high tech assistance. I think if that process were easier, then the lack of advanced controls would be more easily surmounted. I haven't had issues with customer support, but haven't needed much.

Perfect for Accepting Website Donations

Kommentare: Overall, donately lives on our website giving people an easy way to donate. They have an easy to use backend which allows you to create custom forms with unique giving options.

Vorteile:

Donately is easy to use, easy to implement on a website, and even has options to set up individual donation pages for specific events. Plus, their customer service team is amazing!

Nachteile:

They do take a bit of every donation, which is name for the game, but also hard to handle when you're a non-profit.

Kommentare: Some features could be improved. Not easy to run reports. Also would like the feature after fund raising pages are archived to go away from dashboard view. But still be able to call up if needed.

Simplicity Is Key

Kommentare: When choosing between the different donation portals services out there, Donately is our pick for the following: 1. The giving form you are able to embed on your website has a very clean and simply visual design while many other competitors look clunky.
2a. The percentage fees are the lowest and therefore best you can find on the market.
2b. There is no monthly fee, so you are only charged when you get an actual donation.
3. Donately has a catchy name! ;)

- There needs to be a way to designate to certain campaigns on the giving portal - the donation receipts are really ugly and poorly throughout. They need actual customization. - there needs to be a fundraising progress widget you can customize from donately and embedd in your website.

Reporting is difficult to discern certain info, such as the fee breakdown when integrated with Stripe. We've had to rely on external reporting because Donately's is not accurate on fee allocation, specifically.

Can't Think of a Better Platform

Kommentare: Donately is so simple and straightforward that I can't imagine anyone having too hard of a time using it. It is also simple and straightforward on the front-end, making donating a cinch. It integrates well with Stripe, though I would like to see PayPal integration.

More expensive than some, but pays itself off than its competition

Kommentare: I've done a ton of research for our nonprofit, and I like donate.ly because they do not charge a monthly fee, they hook up to my existing stripe account, and although their fees stack up more than other alternatives, their interface is so incredibly simple and easy I have found that if just ONE more donor is gained BECAUSE of their easy interface It pays for the fees for an entire year! Also it's incredibly easy to implement on a website. No HTTPS security certificate needed Though highly recommended of course!

Donately was the Best Choice for our small Fundraiser

Kommentare: My experience was very positive. I was able to get our fundraising campaign and running quickly. So easy that within 4 days we met our original goal and we’re able to double it.

The software was so user friendly and made running our fundraising campaign so easy.

Nachteile:

I felt the campaign management was easier to use and navigate on a full computer. Although accessible and usable on a mobile device, it was not as easy to navigate.
