Kommentare: I have really enjoyed using Account Ability. We have been a user for over 12 years now and although there are other options available to us, Account Ability is the most affordable and easiest option for us.

Vorteile:

Account Ability is fairly easy to use. They are always up to date with the current tax forms and laws so I know that I am submitting my forms correctly. It makes filing electronically a snap and reduces the amount of stress I have during tax time.

Nachteile:

Sometimes uploading files can be confusing, but as long as you follow the instructions, things go fairly smoothly.

End result is acceptable

Kommentare: I appreciate it producing an acceptable end result and producing a fire.gov type file for easy upload. It does not produce an acceptable Oregon e-file file type. That is worth quite a bit. I do not like that I need to download an entire new program every year and set up a new client - this should be one program that maintains all filing years that I have purchased. The ease of use of this product leaves a lot to be desired.

Vorteile:

The end result helps us meet the filing requirements

Nachteile:

1. You have to make an entire new client to produce a corrected 1099 statement 2. Every year is a new program - I would like it to be a single program that hosts all of the years. 3. Update it to look more modern - this survey looks better than Account Ability. 4. Create/offer as an upgrade acceptable state e-file type files

Great experience

Kommentare: Each year this service takes such a big load off of my work schedule for end of year services. The techs are very friendly and knowledgeable and make my submission to State and Government easy.

Vorteile:

Provide Fast and friendly Service! The techs take control of the of our data and send it to the governmental agencies with ease.

Nachteile:

We never have any complaints with anything. Everything was great.

Controller

W2 and 1099 Tax Form Preparation

Kommentare: We have used Account Ability for over 20 years with multiple ERP platforms. They have always worked with us and we have really been able to make our year end tax form preparation much more efficient.

Vorteile:

We like the superior and responsive technical support. We love the product and its flexibility importing and exporting data. For W2's and 1099's we also use the Print and Mail feature which is fast, secure and convenient.

Nachteile:

Our W2 file is very large. We have not figured out a way either internally or with Account Ability to allow for multiple users to work in the W2 file simultaneously without bogging down the process. We have developed some work arounds so it isn't as much of an issue.

User-Friendly and Reliable, with Room for Improvement

Kommentare: For what we use it for, it is definitely manageable and works great.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use. Year to year I'm able to easily remember how to navigate the system with ease.

Nachteile:

A better way to file previous year returns vs. manually bringing them in. Would like the functionality to file 1042S forms right through this channel.

Great Product!

Kommentare: We have been using Account Ability for many years, and when we've needed support, they have always been happy to help. Overall, our experience with Account Ability has been great!

Vorteile:

Account Ability is easy to use, does exactly what it claims to, and makes filing our forms a cinch every year.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if the mapping tool was actually part of the program; having to install that each year to import from other software is a little clunky.

Vorteile:

The support staff is very helpful whenever I have questions and went the extra mile to help me get started with e-filing 1099s for the first time last year, including supporting me with getting a TCC. The written instructions are clear and walking through the process with support made learning the process so easy!

Nachteile:

The pricing for the number of returns I need to file (<100) is steep.

20+ Year User

Kommentare: 10 plus stars. Great staff, always pleasant. They have called me to remind me to purchase the software to gain the discount and the technical service is always on point. One year they even helped me format the csv file. Our Accounting software can handle the forms but it is cumbersome and unpredictable, I will be a life long user.

Vorteile:

I have used Accountability for my Tax Compliance since 2003. I was fortunate to find it when I was a new Controller and needed a solution that I could easily implement and complete my tax forms on time. Having the print and mail service simplifies the process, I've tried mailing 3000+ forms and it took days for our administrative staff to fold, print, stamp the forms and every time there were errors made. I rely on the expertise of IDMS and it has not failed me once. I highly recommend the software and the Customer service in the past was excellent, Saturday return phone calls were critical when we were in busy season.

Nachteile:

For our 2023 tax forms I was not informed of the mailing date of the forms.

Kommentare: We have used the program for year-end document processing. It is consistent in quality and function.

Vorteile:

We have used this product for years and the quality is consistent. It is user friendly from setup of clients, input data on forms, review totals, print runs, and filing with the government agencies. It is all inclusive for filing year-end forms.

Nachteile:

Printer set-up was a little complicated when running the program from a cloud-based storage of the program.

Controller

Kommentare: Although I feel Account Ability can be difficult to navigate it doesn't became cumbersome because [sensitive content hidden] is there to help you in any time along the way.

Vorteile:

[sensitive content hidden] from Account Ability is the best! He has been helping me for the past seven years. He has always been very professional and has a plethora of knowledge.

Nachteile:

My only con would be the user friendly of the software. I feel the software can be a tricky to navigate.

At this point I dont know if there is anything that I do not like about it.

Last Minute Submission

Kommentare: Again, [sensitive content hidden] and the support team were very helpful in a last minute crunch to get us set up for Electronic W2 reporting to IRS, as well as submission of 1095 which had not been done before. He took the time to walk me through everything, which made me feel more comfortable it was done right for our first time submitting.

Vorteile:

The program is easy to use, make corrections if necessary. I like that you see what the form looks like to know everything is in the right spot. A lot of online instructions included that are very detailed in order to walk you through step by step.

Nachteile:

There is alot of information within the program, so it is a little overwhelming when you first get in it and a little difficult to know where to start. However, there are several detailed instructions and guidance from [sensitive content hidden] and support team were very helpful.

Good value for the money

Vorteile:

We've used Account Ability for 10+ years and it's been very reliable. It pulls data from the prior year, which saves time. Overall it's a good value for the money.

Nachteile:

Does not link to any other software, so everything must be entered manually initially. Moving around within Account Ability seems a bit cumbersome and your unable to put the entered documents in alphabetical order, once entered, for easy location.

Superior Product

Kommentare: I have used Account Ability for over 10 years. I like the product very much but as a small company, the ACA package is too expensive to add on. I used a different software to do the 14 forms that I needed at a fraction of the cost.

Vorteile:

Account Ability is easy to use and works with most systems. Offers compliance on all ACA and Federal Regulated Forms.

Nachteile:

I think the price if too high to add ACA package. Can not efile certain forms.

Very Satisfied

Kommentare: It makes the year end tax reporting simpler. If there is an issue, the customer service/help desk team are top notch.

Vorteile:

The very clear and concise step by step instructions.

Nachteile:

Don't have much to add here, perhaps the look of software is a bit out dated, but the that is a non-factor.

Kommentare: Excellent Issuing payroll documentation (W-2s and 1099s) is a very easy process.

Vorteile:

We have been using Account Ability for over 5 years and it is very easy to use and the Customer Service Department is very knowledgeable as well as helpful if we need assistance. I would recommend this product very highly to anyone who is doing payroll functions (W-2s , 1099s etc)

Nachteile:

Nothing - Everything with this product is easy to use and literally there are no issues.
