Vorteile:

Das Baukastensystem ist wirklich gut ausgestattet um eine eigene Webseite zu erstellen. Alle Änderungen werden gleich übernommen und gespeichert. Damit waren wir sehr zufrieden. Ein strukturierter Aufbau war gut zu erkennen (roter Faden). Wirklich richtig gut!

Nachteile:

Ja als die Webseite fertig gestellt war und veröffentlicht werden sollte, musste noch die Domain übertragen werden. Wir haben uns sogleich mit unseren ursprünglichen Provider in Verbindung gesetzt. Von dort haben wir alles bekommen. Sie waren auch telefonisch erreichbar. Jetzt wollten wir zu Site123 wechseln mit unserer vorhandenen Domain. Es gab aber keine richtige Hilfe dafür. Telefonisch war keiner erreichbar. Der vorhandene Chat sprach nur englisch. Das wussten wir zunächst gar nicht. Dann wurde uns per Mail mitgeteilt, dass sie nur mit englisch sprechen können. Dan stellten wir eine Frage auf englisch. Dann bekamen wir eine Antwort, die wir nicht verstanden. Es waren nur Fachbegriffe, die wir noch nie gehört haben. Das ist ein Service an den man noch arbeiten muss. Bis jetzt wissen wir immer noch nicht ob die Domainübertragung funktioniert hat, oder etwas fehlt. Es kam zwar eine Mail, die aber nur den Hinweis enthielt, das es in Bearbeitung wäre. Ob etwas fehlt oder es Probleme mit irgendetwas gibt kann man nicht sagen, da hierfür keine Info gesendet wurde. Das ist natürlich schon sehr wichtig wenn man online erkennbar sein muss, gerade für Unternehmen. Gesetzliche Vorschriften wie das Impressum muss man sich aus dem Internet beschaffen und einfügen. Da war keine Vorlage vorhanden. Wenn man es weiß sicher kein Problem. Aber man muss es wissen!

Vorteile:

German: Die Seite ist leicht zu bedienen, die einzelnen Seiten lassen sich gut in das Gesamtbild einarbeiten. Die Bilder haben eine hohe Qualität. Ich bin damit zufrieden, wie ich mich und meine Bücher präsentieren kann. Die Seite mit den Kontaktinformationen ist gut strukturiert. Vielen Dank für die E-Mails mit den Tipps zur besseren Gestaltung der Seite, wie ich sie zum Beispiel heute von Ihnen erhalten habe.

Nachteile:

Es kostet natürlich sehr viel Geld. Aber das lohnt sich für mich, denn ich möchte eine schöne Seite haben über meine Autorentätigkeit.

Professional Looking Website with very limited web building knowledge

Kommentare: SITE123 has allowed me to build, maintain and update a quality looking website myself with very little technical knowledge for a fraction of the price of having it built for me. As a small start up business with very small margins this is absolutely crucial. When I have wanted to do something that is beyond my understanding the live 24/7 help has been faultless and so far has resolved all of my issues incredibly quickly. This is 24/7 help from real, knowledgeable people, not some useless bot.

Vorteile:

Numerous templates to make it easy to get started.Customisable with no coding needed.Online help is absolutely fabulous!!! OK, better than that actually.

Nachteile:

Disappointed I can't have public and members only sections on same site.Default email is very very outdated

Great Option for Small Business Owners

Kommentare: Overall, the positives currently outweigh the negatives. If the "cons" are addressed, then the system will be ideal for most of my online needs. I have quite a few more projects that I'd like to complete, and the "cons" are holding me back.

Vorteile:

The Site123 administrative panel is relatively simple to manage, and there is 24/7 online chat support to answer any questions about a particular function. The sites look professional, and there are a number of nice features and integrations in the Site123 system.

Nachteile:

1) I am VERY frustrated by the 2,000-character limit in each section of custom code. I still have over 90% of my allotted space (10 GB) available for use, so I am not clear as to why this limit is so low. I would create several more websites on Site123 if this limit were lifted to at least 5,000 characters. The limit seems arbitrary - customers HATE arbitrary limits.2) I am frustrated at the 200-page limit for the entire site. I understand that there have been some performance issues for other customers when they exceed 200 pages on their site, but that is Site123's issue to figure out. Again, I still have over 90% of my allotted space (10 GB), so it is frustrating not to be able to use it due to a technical issue.

Good website creation; no verification email.

Kommentare: Website was relatively easy to create, I had fun while doing it. There was a good special on a one year upgrade. Upon paying for the upgrade & my domain, I was told I'd receive an email with a verification link. This was on Thursday, 4 July 2024. While waiting for this email, I received the same email three times from Thursday to Saturday saying that there is 'Action Required' and I need to verify my domain by using the email they sent me with a verification link. I never received the email with a verification link. I've chatted with customer support a few times regarding this issue (since they're supposed to send the link within 24-72 hours) and they basically told me to be patient and they'll get someone to send it. It's now been 4 days in total and I'm still waiting on this email so I can verify my domain and have my website up and running properly. I was told it will be sent either Sunday or Monday, however I still get emails saying I need to verify my domain (without a verification link). Maybe once all is sorted, I can give a more positive review. I understand customer support is doing what they can, however I am upset that it's been over 72 hours and I still haven't received the email to verify and properly experience what I paid for.

Vorteile:

Creating my website was easy, fun, and overall a good experience. There was a special to upgrade so as soon as I finished my design, I decided to go for the upgrade. All went well, and I published my site.

Nachteile:

Takes long to send the email with verification link to verify your domain.

Vorteile:

SITE123 offers multilingual languages to choose from with automatic translations and is simple to use while viewing content.

Nachteile:

Cons of SITE123 include the lack of mobile application presence with IOS or Android. This would dramatically enhance the capabilities for targeted audience for usage.

Site123 Has Been a Dream Come True for Me

Kommentare: I enjoy the site and admire how easy it is to make a professional-looking site with the tools offered on the website. I am proud of the way my site looks and how attractive it is to my visitors.

Vorteile:

The ease of getting started was attractive to me. I had a website I was proud of within less than a week of learning the website. Since then, I have been able to embellish and make adjustments to my presentations of my ebooks, stories, and other writings. I had always dreamed about giving my stories a stage to shine and Site123 has allowed me to make this dream come true. People rave about the attractiveness and easy to use writing site I have made using the variety of tools available on this site. My many writings are special to me, like my own children in some ways. I am able to dress these stories up so they look good to others who come and visit my site.

Nachteile:

I have only one concern: Bandwidth. I have been adding many items to my stories and this apparently has caused me to almost approach my monthly limit of bandwidth. This is a concern and one that could cause me to shop elsewhere. I have asked for help on this subject, but have yet to receive much satisfaction. I guess I will simply have to avoid doing too much additions to my site each month until I can find some other remedy.

Another site builder to try

Vorteile:

What I loved most is the level of simplicity in editing any aspect of the site and the speed of implementation of those edits. and the customer support is like no other i have experienced. Very fast response and guide you to resolve the issue. Never had a problem with them, they are all amazing!

Nachteile:

Nothing bad really, but It'd be nice to have more gradient colors for the background to make it less boxed and sharp. Probably integrate having images behind the entire website as a background If possible.

Nothing as yet. satisfied customer. Had a few issues with people not accessing banking details for EFT, as i dont have a gateway platform as yet. but have now edited bank details into order email.

Creating a Resume website

Kommentare: The process from beginning to publishing took an hour! It was best case scenario.

Vorteile:

The templates are already pre sized to optimally work on desktop and mobile. There was not any technical changes needed.the customer service on the chat feature was immensely helpful and fast!

Nachteile:

None at the time but a con may be to someone that the design choices are basic

User friendly, a wide variety of templates to use offering many different looks for a website. Excellent Customer Service. Cost. Multi-year agreements.

Nachteile:

So far, I have found no negatives to state. Usually, it is difficult to get assistance, but I had no problems getting almost immediate assistance.

How i found working with Site123

Kommentare: Great experience so far. our church is trying to keep the website simple but have the information required.

It is easy to use. templates are a great help. online help is excellent.

Nachteile:

Being a church that likes to put the service on the website 100mb just is not enough and compression detreats from the video.Could do with more templates for religious organizations and not just shopping.

Mobile Savvy; Just Add Content

Kommentare: I have been using a WYSIWYG Flash-based website builder for the past several years for my business website. While it was sufficient for the time, I was faced with having to migrate it to HTML 5 and basically do a complete reconstruction or just start from scratch. I decided to look around and see what was available that really focused on mobile friendly architecture, so-called "adaptive design." I already knew from my analytics that mobile devices were the fastest growing segment of my viewers, with tablets close behind. So that was a high priority. I ran across Site123 and started playing with it. In a just over three hours, I had completely built a mobile friendly site by taking the content from my old size and dropping it in. Site123 has got to have one of the most gentle learning curves imaginable. Controls are very intuitive, as you format text, images, presentation, etc. Changes are saved automatically so no "Oh crap!" moments as you realize you've forgotten to save a long session and wind up losing it and starting over. I had some special needs as far as list requirements, too, and found that some of their built-in tools could be retooled for other uses. Tables worked great and the desktop/tablet/mobile simulator gives a reasonably accurate accounting of how your site will work on those devices. I was working on a desktop and going to my Android phone to check the results as I published them. It was an extremely efficient and no-pain experience to take a site I was dreading to update and have fun doing it in one morning. Very impressed with Site123 for my needs.

Vorteile:

Extremely intuitive. I didn't even bother to read anything more than the tool tips and template descriptions and had zero issues with the build. As I was building it in the Free service offer, I didn't have to worry about credit cards being charged only to discover I hated the app. Even in the Free version, the Site123 floating credit at the bottom of the window is non-intrusive and quite bearable. They seem to have leaned toward a customer-centric approach that doesn't bludgeon you into an upsell. I liked that. For a small business or service, personal site, NFP or similar low-moderate information needs, this seems to be a very viable package to consider. You can point your domain name to your Site123 provided URL and be in business in no time. At $8 a month (yearly plan) for hosting, costs are in line with most similar services. I have found that over the past years, my customers are gravitating toward very convenient, user friendly ways to reach me and really don't bother with a lot of the detail that I felt needed to be in a desktop-level site. Being able to offer a very modern, attractive and fully mobile compliant site seems to be more effective in getting eyes on me and making sales. Site123 does a very nice job in that department. I am in the process of switching my plan over to Site123 and away from my old provider.

Nachteile:

I wouldn't want to try to do a very robust catalog or sales site from what I could tell, but I wasn't looking in that direction and maybe missed some features that make that choice more accessible.

Kommentare: It's really depending on what you want, we as a team go the best experience we could get. There is support so they are always there to give you tips or you can tell them what you want to do and they will guide you to do it.
Some of them even step by step, like really step by step.
If you try the platform and you don't know what you want to do, then do not do it at all.
Be sure for what you want and most of all, be sure that what you want to do in doable in general. There were things I wanted to do but they are not really possible to be done.

Vorteile:

Let's start with the fact that I was previously using a code only platform and I really wanted to make a professional website for my team and get it live to attract new visitors. It's basically what I was looking for in a website builder. I have tried multiple online but SITE123 gave me the freedom to take my team on the web and get it live with our domain name. It's a very easy to use platform and they offer many applications to use and index your website to Google and other search engines which what I really needed. Because of this website we were able to increase awareness as I have seen the difference with the hosting I had, the servers response time is 5x times faster than the Shared Hosting plan I had with another website. Very powerful platform I would say, and it really got my message out.

Nachteile:

I would appreciate if they had sidebars like WordPress themes but for now I was able to make what I wanted. I might not be able to add my own HTML to the platform for some specific apps I wanted but I was able to find something at least similar to their app market, it did the job (not the one I wanted) but if you try to find there is always a way to get things done even when you are limited to the option they offer. I was expecting to use more the custom Iframe but it turned out the Application integration were more useful than any other features offered.

It is easy to use and can easily integrate with other software. It has a page creator for editing and adding extra pages. one can easily edit website in real time very fast without writing a single line of code. It has a plugin features which adds functionality to your website. Its multi-language feature help to create a multi-language website. You can easily connect your domain name.

Nachteile:

Some functionality is limited to some extent. The plugins are not much compared to similar platforms. One may not get all they want from a basic package which makes its pricing strategy expensive for startups.

Kommentare: Generally I fell in love with the software and I took almost a whole year to teach myself from scratch about using the software. After mastering the software I then created a website for a client. The first mistake I did was not understanding that after I registered as an Expert, I did not link the website I was creating to my Expert account. When the client paid, I did not receive my commission that I was looking forward to receiving after my hard work. As a Newbie to Site123 I feel this was a minor mistake that was supposed to be forgiven. It was not like I did a major mistake that put the company into disrepute or something. I merely did not understand the concept of linking my client's website to my Expert Account. I love Site123 but i am deeply disappointed by this painful experience.

Vorteile:

I has more features compared to other softwares I have come across. After learning to use it, it is very user-friendly and relatively easy.

Nachteile:

The one main sore point is about the fact that Network marketing is not illegal in all or many countries. AMWAY is one of the bisgges network marketing company in the world based in the USA. However Site123 does not allow Legal product based Network marketing websites. To me that is sad because unless the network marketing programme is not an illegal pyramid scheme, it should be allowed. Otherwise the Site123 software is fine. I relayy did not find any cons.

SITE123 for new bloggers

Kommentare: Started a blog which I plan to monetize at a later stage with my own products. Looks like this will not work with this host though as they are very restrictive.

Vorteile:

Easy to set up, great features and incredibly helpful customer service. For a first time user I would highly recommend SITE123.

Nachteile:

Sadly they do not allow me to add an HTML so my affiliate marketing is not going to work on this platform in the long term.

Building a site for a small business is always demanding and not on the top of priorities for us managers. But nowadays you don`t have much of a choice if you want to look and be professional. That`s why you need a web builder with friendly interface, 2-minute respond online support 24/7, competitive price options when you upgrade your plan, which is always necessary and easy setting up hosting and domain. That`s why I chose site123, instead of their 3-main competitors.

Nachteile:

At first glance I do not see a lot of free plugins, and some of the ones available are old dated. Of course using custom code is always best and till now it integrates to my project with no problems and crashes. For Ex. I need comparison picture slider which I will get from 3-th party, it would be great if such is integrated in the plugins and custom code section. Another thing is the parallax option which would be great to work with multi pictures on the first page.

Good software so I expect more development

Easy to start, easy to manage. I was not good at managing website but even I could do. Also help centre is working very well. They promptly answer my questions. I appreciate it so much!

What I strongly expect you to improve are;- we can't set different cover photos for laptop and phone- not possible to automatically set shipping fee - less options for letter format
