Einfaches Tool für RDP

Vorteile:

Einfach zu bedienen, sicher und benutzerfreundlich.

Nachteile:

Automatische Suche für Server fehlt, um diese zu hinzufügen.

On steroids!

Kommentare: I feel like I am an admin on steroids when I launch RDM!

Vorteile:

Everything an administrator needs in one place and on multiplatform. This enables us to be everywhere :D

Nachteile:

None! Except deciding to edprecate the cloud backup functionality.

Still the best way to connect to multiple remote devices

Kommentare: I use it day in and day out and while the number of servers I need to switch between, it is still my application of choice to connect to my (virtual) servers

Vorteile:

a very simple way to connect to multiple servers one by one or at the same time and a simply way to switch between servers without the need to sign-in and sign-out all the time. Integration with password managers to further increase security by avoiding having to store your credentials locally. There are many more tools, but in my case those are nice to have features I simply don't use (yet)

Nachteile:

when changing the size of the window the remote server screen does not adjust. I use a laptop with 3 external screens 2 x 24" and 1 x 34" and when moving it needs to be resized and you either are left with unused space or scroll bars. in particular when switching between windowed and full screen, it would be great if it automatically scaled the remote display.

Remote Desktop

Kommentare: My overall experience with Remote Desktop Manger is good. The capability to work from home and access my files on my work PC has helped with completing projects on time.

Vorteile:

What I like most about this software is that I am able to access my work computer from home. My home PC doesn’t have all the programs and files I need to access when I am working from home. Instead of saving files on a flash drive and bringing it home, I can access the files directly through my work PC.

Nachteile:

What I dislike most about this software is most of the time when I am using it, there is a horrible lag. I am not sure if this is because of the software or possibly the internet connection I use.

Vorteile:

Convenient Management Console: Users appreciate the ability to access different features from one place, making it easy to manage multiple remote connections. Strong Security: RDM provides robust security features, including secure storage of passwords and other sensitive information.

Nachteile:

Some users feel that RDM lacks certain features that might be beneficial for smaller companies.

Nice Tool, but need to be well versed in knowing or having usesd these before.

Kommentare: I use it for one thing and know it could be used for more, but don't have alot of extra time to learn and figure it all out and how useful it could be to me.

Vorteile:

I do like it better than the standard remote desktop, and can set it up to go to more than one place rather than only one place.

Nachteile:

Learning curve on how to use it and set up, and what piece goes with what, if you aren't use to doing this sort of thing, as this was my first time with a tool like this, didn't even know or know for sure what I needed to download, or how this and others work together.

After using RDM, you wont go back

Kommentare: Have been using RDM extensively for 10+ years, yet almost every day I learn something new about what it or its companion products can do.

Vorteile:

The extraordinary flexibility and capability of the tool, both for connecting to systems and storing information relevant to the IT landscape. Additionaly, pairing the tool with their other products such as Hub or Server or Gateway can provide enterprise grade security and functionality whether it be for a single user or a large IT team.

Nachteile:

It would be great if Devolutions could expand the development team working on product enhancements. There is so much potential for the product/s, and it is great to see all the improvements included with the quarterly major releases, however many of the community submitted 'feature requests' remain in the backlog, I suspect due to capacity contraints of the current team.

Versatile tool from a user centric company

Kommentare: Remote Desktop Manager and Devolutions seems like a "nerdy" company meaning that it feels like there is not a long way from the end user to the developers. If you run into an issue, you will get quick response from Devolutions. Suggest a new feature and you might see it show up not a long time later. And long release notes with lots of details.
I not just love the product but I'm also a big fan of Devolutions themselves.

Vorteile:

Very versatile, meaning that it can be configured for a wide range of situations. Can run on many different databases or in the cloud. For each connection you have many configuration options so most things can be configured for your exact needs.

Nachteile:

Can be a little slow to start but once started it's fast. Timeout handling to the connected SQL server with the Remote Desktop Database (our configuration, might not be the same for other setups)

Fantastic Product.

Kommentare: Overall my experience was fantastic, I love the centralized database and the gateway functionality along with the 1password integration. My most favorite feature is the Cyberark integration.

Vorteile:

Ease of use and logical layout of the gui. All the different options for remote connections and the embedded web browser to name a few.

Nachteile:

I wish there was a way to set credentials as a variable or template instead of being stuck with standardized naming.

RDM rocks!!!

Kommentare: It's great for patching many assets simultaneously.

Vorteile:

I love the ability to remotely access so many assets at once and save those connections. I can export the file of connections from one application and import it into RDM easily and vice versa. Love the ease of use.

Nachteile:

The URL feature sometimes makes you retype the URL into the address bar as opposed to opening it outright.

RDP preferred tool since 2016

Kommentare: Used for both SSH & RDP remote access.
Utilized for multiple Linux command distribution.

Vorteile:

Ease of remote access to all types of protocols. Free version works perfectly.

Nachteile:

Application hangs on some occasions and requires a hard reset.

Great product recomed it to everyone

Vorteile:

All network connections in one location. Also the ability to setup security on those connections.

Nachteile:

Some times it's a little bulky when making the same change on many connections at once.

No centralized 2FA definded by Admin, you could deactivate by your own

Great tool for MSP

It’s a little pricey! A cheaper with less features for RDP only admins would be great!

A Great Remote Desktop Solution

Vorteile:

With Remote Desktop Manager, accessing and managing devices remotely is easy. I like the great security features. It makes remote work easy.

Nachteile:

Well, Remote Desktop Manager is great and no issues.

Kommentare: Help me to manage several server, remote RDP, ssh and vnc, easy to move to other computer to manage again, never worried about remote password again

Syncing sessions is a joy

Kommentare: The product is great when the program doesn't crash. I love ability to have all my sessions under one application. That I can sync them across workstations.

Vorteile:

The ease of setting up RDP sessions and websites to connect to in a quick manner.

Nachteile:

I use it on Linux and it crashes often.

Since this reliant on internet sometime it can be very slow

The industry standard for a reason

Kommentare: This is a great foundational product. There are products that make it easy to access machines and monitor performance. But for the cost, Remote Desktop is the go to

Vorteile:

Remote Desktop Manager is a default provided by Microsoft for a reason. It is the standard way to access remote machines. It is a consistently easy to use method of accessing remote desktops and servers. While it does not have the shinier features of other similar products, it gets used more than others because it just works.

Nachteile:

There are not any good ways to transfer files between machines. Remote Desktop does not have a built in password manager

Vorteile:

It has great features for a IT management solution. It is secure and super capable too.

Nachteile:

Nothing yet as the product has been functional.
