The Gold Standard for an Increasingly Problematic Area of Analysis
Vorteile: Crimson Hexagon has for years been the best tool for detailed analysis of the largest set of publicly-available online conversations. You are easily able to get to post-level analysis. Wide variety of keyword analyses. Depth of affinities data is unique to this platform.
Nachteile: About the most expensive tool in the competitive set, influencer ID has become much less useful since the loss of Klout, spam filtering is manual, image analysis costs extra. Some features feel designed by engineers, not marketers - cool idea, not practical. The future of the industry is in question as Facebook continues to reduce access to data, Twitter conversation quality worsens, and spam proliferates. This and all platforms are at the mercy of other companies' APIs and privacy rules as well as the whims of user platform and content preferences.

So much potential, but falls short in some areas
Kommentare: It's a powerful platform, but they only seemed to care about us as a customer around renewal time.
Vorteile: Fast data processing, good data sources even after the privacy wave
Nachteile: Limited number of categories, narrow focus of categories

Crimson Hexagon is great for social insights
Vorteile: I love the affinities feature which adds a little extra something when you're digging into social insights for an audience
Nachteile: Sometimes its a bit hard to pilot, and if you do not constantly make sure your monitor is enabled you may lose work

Very expensive, high Training overhead but powerful analytics,
Kommentare: Powerful analytics but at what cost?
Vorteile: Crimson Hexagon has a lot of brand equity in the social listening space. They are specifically known as a commonly used tool for deriving consumer insights from social media content and are well entrenched in the Media and Entertainment space.
Nachteile: Couple big things: it's one of the priciest systems out there on the market. You should be fully committed to the vision at risk of buyers remorse. Many other players are worth considering as near peers at much more reasonable price points. They are highly reliant on the Twitter firehose. This granular data access enables some really neat features like affinities between interrelated groups but it is not an ideal fit for PR/Marketing/Comm's team who require broader source coverage. They emphasize their expertise in machine learning. It's not all smoke and mirrors but be wary of over reliance on their systems. Why? Training periods can take up to 10 days for a given topic. Good luck if you are on a tighter deadline. Also, what if your analytical priorities change or you don't like the results?

Vorteile: I really like how easy it is to get access to the insights I need. The HelioSight tool is perfect for any Social Media Analyst. You can grab curated insights about almost any campaign you run.
Nachteile: The only thing I am not a fan of is sometimes I feel like the VFX industry isn't represented well in the analytics. Image recognition and a few other features sometimes feel off. It is easy to recognize coffee in an image but recognizing The Foundry's Nuke X software being used in an image is much more difficult.

Deep social insights
Kommentare: Love the deep social insights
Vorteile: Love their new features, esp Heliosight which allows quick easy access. I also enjoy their API which has been useful
Nachteile: No snapchat, limited capabilities with new technologies. Twitter is their main source and not always as helpful

Solid tool for social monitoring but with 1 buggy feature...
Kommentare: Pretty intuitive for the most part, but the sentiment feature needs work!
Vorteile: I thought this platform was very well designed and one of the most user-friendly monitoring tools out there. It's not only great for social monitoring but also building social reports. You can create a master boolean query and then filter out exactly what you are looking for. In my past experience, I was able to pull data pretty easily to compare metrics on content types as well. It's a platform that can be easily accessible to teams for all types of uses and has great visual graphics.
Nachteile: My only real issue was the sentiment feature on this platform is not accurate. It only considers language and not tone. Take this feature with a grain of salt.

One of the best social media monitoring tool, though a bit expensive
1. The best feature is it can go back to capture historical data
2. Amazing visualizations
3. Comparison feature with other brands or with Twitter as a whole
4. User's interest details - add a lot of value in understanding customer base
1. The major con is its pricing - It's quite expensive even for large organizations
2. Demographic details about users - even though it is very useful but the proportion of the population for which this is provided is very less. Need to understand this part in detail

Crimson Hexagon can provide a lot of valuable information to help build out some solid stories
Vorteile: There is a TON of information you can get from Crimson Hexagon that is easily accessible as long as you know where to find it. Crimson Hexagon provide's a lot of different ways to look at the data so you're able to analyze it and easily build out the story you're looking for.
Nachteile: The user interface is not super intuitive and the trainings they provide are not very helpful. They're long and show us things that we won't necessarily be needing the tool for (in my position).

Crimson Hexagon: Better Every Year
Kommentare: Crimson Hexagon's Forsight platform has gotten progressively better each year. I especially like the new emotion breakdown as it gives a more robust picture than positive/negative/neutral. I would like to see some way of aggregating what link is being shared most often in social content.

Best Sentiment Tool (Social Listening) I have seen.
Vorteile: Crimson provides some of the best sentiment data with data dating back to almost a decade. Automated reports, dashboards, and training make this one of the better tools we have used.
Nachteile: There is so much data it can be hard to get used to how to filter and sort through it all when you are first getting into the tool.

100% focused on client needs and good educational orientation
Kommentare: It is not usual to find a website with such number of reports clearly oriented to educate clients in the discipline of social intelligence. Proactivity is another character on the staff dna: going one step forward on client needs.
