Makes printing easy!

Vorteile:

It’s great being able to print remotely whilst on the move and come back to the office and everything is there ready. Simple features such as printing both sides is great and saves paper which is great for the environment.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the printer is a little glitchy and doesn’t connect but after switching off/on it’s sorted out.

Lexmark multifunction review

Vorteile:

I'm not sure what part of Lexmark this Capterra listing is for, but we recently had a new Lexmark CX923de installed in our office. The print quality is great - the colour laser is especially good. Our prior printers were too matte and didn't provide professional enough quality. The glossy colour laser is great and the print outs, although not professional quality, are really good for day to day printing. I like being able to create short cuts on the machine that can be very specific (duplex, colour, skip blank pages, etc etc). The videos and images on how to handle paper jams are good, although we don't get as many jams with this new machine as we did with the old one. Overall the software attached to this machine is quite nice and easy to use. The UX is good and things are where you expect them to be.

Nachteile:

We've only had this machine for a month or so so I haven't really tested things out. The one thing I wish I could find is the ability to adjust my shortcuts that already exist. For example I send up a scan to email shortcut that has duplex printing by default. I wish I could set this to single sided by default but I can't figure out how to adjust my current shortcut without deleting it and recreating it. Which would then replace my shortcut number I believe. This option might exist, but it's not evident after quick review.

Vorteile:

It is easy to use and good for individual printing needs.

Nachteile:

The software that I have does not allow for printing in color, only grey scale.

Vorteile:

I work in a small business setting with 2 locations. We have a total of 3 lexmark printer. The printers were easy to install. The quality of print is very good as well as being able to run envelope & labels. Speed is very good

Nachteile:

My only concern is the cost of the print cartridges as well as drum replacements and toner. We print constantly through out the day and they dont seem to last very long

I really like the fact it is in German, this is important for my company and it is really great value for money.

Nachteile:

It doesn't have multiple warehousing, it doesn't do multiple currencies and it doesn't do multiple languages.

4 years implementation and admin

Vorteile:

custom scripting language is robust and ability to integrate with systems is second to none. workflow builder is awesome

Nachteile:

lags behind the competition in BPM features. Promises about the ability to migrate from other platforms to Connect is overstated

Dependable Printers for our Creative Dept.

Vorteile:

We recently introduced the Lexmark Go Line of Printers into our Creative Marketing office and they were easy to setup and print dependably and affordably.

Nachteile:

Trying to print remotely to the printer in my office seems a little overly complicated on Mac OS and would like more effort put into Mac OS printer drivers and permissions.

Reliable products

Vorteile:

Generally a reliable product that works with all computers. Relatively little-to-no downtime over the 2 years I have used their printers.

Nachteile:

Ink is rather expensive, compared to other printer manufacturers. High-yield cartridges are a must in a business setting.

New Lexmark Machines Are an Office Improvement

Vorteile:

We recently had a company wide Lexmark upgrade to printers/copies/fax machines. The software installed on the machines is much better than the previous versions. The options and features match what people are looking to do (ex. scan to email). It's also very nice that the printer can tell our IT team that supplies are low. We don't have the situation anymore where the toner has run out and we have no replacement inserts. Great feature!

Nachteile:

I'd say the only thing I don't like about the new software is dismissing screens. Sometimes you get a screen or menu pop up and the dismiss/close button isn't obvious. Turns out you can swipe it away but there's no UI to tell you that.

Easy to use scan interface

Vorteile:

The Lexmark scan interface is easy to use. You can select to scan as a PDF at Tiff and any resolution that your scanner can handel.

Lexmark Experience

Kommentare: The Lexmark printers we use have been extremely reliable but their ease if use is what makes them slightly less desirable than Ricoh or HP. The UI for setup could be neatened up a little bit to look more updated/modern. The help button could also be a little more obvious when running into problems getting hardware set up.
