The product is easy to use one you get it. The integration process took one month since their was a lot of intense training to be provided about the system.
Unreasonable business practices. Little to no experience in Georgia.

Kommentare: Make our credentialing work easier and more efficient.
Vorteile:
it's easy to use and it can do wonders if you use it to the max. and to its potential in addition to their products.
Nachteile:
when there is an error and they can't figure it out why or and upgrade and can't be upgrade. Or when you have codes that can't be overload.
Symplr Event Reporting System is user friendly and the customer support is quick and knowledgeable!

We really have no issues as they are fixed within an hour via their customer support team!
Worst platform ever!
Kommentare: Terrible experience. Do not use this platform. They are scammers and will take your money even when you cancel your plan. WORST PLATFORM EVER!!

A good tool for all data management but it needs a bit improvement

Very Powerful
Kommentare: this program is a very powerful program and when used correctly is a valuable tool in the credentialing process. I don't have much experience with other programs but what I have experienced I am impressed and am fairly happy. even with the cons I listed, I would and do plan to stay with this program.
Vorteile:
Makes tracking Privilege dates, license expirations....a snap.... easy to pull reports and fairly easy to input.
Nachteile:
we switched from Visual Cactus to web based Cactus and the transition has not been very smooth. most of the bugs have been worked out but not all. it would have been best if Cactus/Symplr had worked all the bugs out ahead of implementing the new product.
Very unhappy with customer services and overall experience.
Vorteile:
I like the fact that our Provider Enrollment Team can share information easily with the Credentialing team.
Nachteile:
Customer services has been awful and we have been sold a product that for the last 5 months has not done what we were promised and we just keep getting the run around and excuse after excuse. Always someone elses fault or another department or have to get the correct people on the call even though every week we are told the same thing. I understand the first couple of calls but when you tell me that you are going to get the correct people on the next call that is what I expect not to have to be told the same thing again and again after spending the time and money our facility has.
Cactus is the credentialing software my organization purchased.
Kommentare: It keeps all of our provider information in one database for ease of access.
Vorteile:
I prefer the ease and esthetics of Visual Cactus over the more challenging and unappealing web-based Cactus.
Nachteile:
The web-based Cactus is not as user-friendly as Visual Cactus. Also, it does not interface with my organization's other programs. **This review is based on my time at the Corporate level. I have recently started with the managed care business unit, therefore my Cactus experience here is limited.
My Review
Vorteile:
The product is easy to use. Very user friendly and the program is wonderful
Nachteile:
I don't have a least favorite thing because I have no complaints
We have been very happy with our Cactus software.
Vorteile:
Cactus is very easy to use and has a lot of flexibility with the queries and reporting. Also, the customer support is excellent.
Nachteile:
Setting up security for users is almost impossible to get right, but fortunately their customer support is excellent and very patient.
I don't use the Cactus application, but am on the support end of its use.
Kommentare: We were able to decommission an old database because we migrated to Cactus.
Vorteile:
Whenever there is a problem that I cannot resolve Cactus Support is always ready to help. There staff is very well trained, and have always been able to help me resolve the problem.
Nachteile:
The use of the software is not always clear. I don't think we use the Cactus application to its full capability.
The initiation and install went well, but response to requests after go live have been negligent.
Kommentare: We have more flexibility in changing and reporting Provider Data.
Vorteile:
That it can handle a myriad of complexities for provider, group, entity, and facility relationships.
Nachteile:
The reporting capabilities are not intuitive at all. It takes an advanced degree in Crystal to write reports. The import utility is also extremely cumbersome. Mass updating of products and Plans does not allow you to only update certain address types. There are also no workflows or checklists that would track a process for contracting or credentialing. Security roles also don't allow enough control of field level restrictions. It's also very difficult to figure out what field applies to certain screens to limit roles. I went over the nature of our work with the salesman and he promised me that Vistar could handle it all and I don't feel like we got what we were sold.
Cactus for the day
Kommentare: I have enjoyed working with the symplr team. They are very customer friendly. The support team is amazing.
Vorteile:
For the most part the software is easy to use. As you work through the screens, the system will guide you. I also like that for each screen you manipulate, you will be reminded to save prior to getting out of the system.
Nachteile:
There have been times during the day that the system just freezes. When this happens, you as the user must get completely out of the system and re-log-in.
Symplr Review
Kommentare: We meet weekly with Symplr to work out any system issues, upgrades and new business. We are currently working on automated delegation and the Associates we work with, the rep (I call him MacGyver because he can design and fix anything). The rep always responds back good or bad and keeps priorities focused. The project lead all amazing people to work with. Thank you for a great product.
Vorteile:
The software is very user friendly and if there are any issues the support desk associates are the best. We've been using Symplr for almost 2 years, My team and I are very pleased with the system.
Nachteile:
I don't think there is anything I don't like except maybe the reporting from crystal.
I have been a Cactus User for many years.
Kommentare: It was the first credentialing software used at our facility. It helped to facilitate efficiency in the credentialing process, but did not get us to a fully electronic process.
Vorteile:
My familiarity with the software. We were not able to expand on the use and move to a fully electronic office due to constraints of the software we utilize.
Nachteile:
Many folks find it complicated and hard to navigate (not intuitive). I find some of the data fields we enter cannot be generated in reports. The software seems to be more geared to managed care organizations than hospitals.
Always been positive. The cactus product works for us.
Kommentare: It helps get the big job of managing all our medical staff information organized and accurate, and it does so in a cost effective way.
Vorteile:
Cactus is always been reliable, Cactus/Symplr keeps abreast of regulatory changes, version upgrades are generally painless, the helpdesk support line is the best.
Nachteile:
I'd really have to think hard about that because its so seldom I hear of any complaints. I checked with other users in our Medical Staff Administration department and no one could think of a single complaint.
Cactus is not user friendly.
Vorteile:
I like the ability to roll all provider privileges forward in mass and like the provider's photo on their bio.
Nachteile:
Cactus is a very cumbersome software to navigate and utilize on a daily basis. There are so many clicks required to accomplish a task such as updating a provider's file; developing merge documents that must align with a query that must be generated prior to the merge document; set up for emailing or faxing documents is a lengthy process.
I've used Cactus for over 20 years
Vorteile:
User the Visual Cactus version is very friendly, great customer support, tons of features and functionality. I believe the price is a value, as I have used it at three local companies, all of whom looked at over software.
Nachteile:
The web version is not as user friendly. It is very different than the Visual version and does not make as much "sense" when trying to figure out where to go in the system to find something or do something.
Enhancements to the system are expensive. The new web based software is not easy on the eye.
Kommentare: Historically we have benefited, but I would shop around if starting from scratch.
Vorteile:
We have it already and it would be a big endeavor to change software. Staff is trained and it would be too expensive to change.
Nachteile:
Enhancements are too expensive. The recent OIG/SAM querying capability should not be an extra fee. This is should be a basic function. Company has lost "family feel" since it became Simplyr.

Kommentare: Streamline credentialing processes and working more efficiently.
Vorteile:
After using PrivPlus for so long, Symplr was so advanced and very user friendly. There are so many "Bells & Whistles" and the staff are so helpful when you call on them.
Nachteile:
Running reports can be time consuming and trying to get the information needed into one report, even with MyReports report writer.
Since the acquisition by Symplr, things have gone downhill.

Vorteile:
Easy of Use. Privilege forms for reference. The ability to attached verified items. Batch print of verification letters.
Nachteile:
Reports get changed and then no one knows how they originally existed and they are never the same. It seems I have to be "ugly" to get anything fixed. Turn around time for tickets seems very slow.
I have been using Cactus/Symplir for 9-10 years
Vorteile:
Easy to use, we still have Visual Cactus and it does everything that we need it to do. Database is easy to use to load my providers for sending payor updates to all our networks. Can pull a report quickly using queries.
Nachteile:
Trying to get a flat file loaded into CAQH is beyond me! Sometimes I wonder if the data is correct that is pulled from CAQH.
Excellent Product
Kommentare: Time Saving and also the ability to interface with other products.
Vorteile:
Ease of use. The Staff is friendly. The use of Bomgar makes its easy to communicate. The Road Shows are phenomenal.
Nachteile:
Support calls are not answered all the time. There is lack of training documentation on the website for App Central or for icommittee . Training Videos on this will be nice.
Symplr
Vorteile:
The best part of the software is ease of used and the availability of customer support.
Nachteile:
I would prefer more user defined fields.
I have enjoyed the "upgrade" to symplr from priv plus. It truly makes this job easier.
Vorteile:
I really like how everything seems to flow seamlessly within the system. There has be no down time with symplr.
Nachteile:
It would be nice if the email from the system was a bit more user friendly. If it would show that it came from my office instead of a different address that is not recognizable to my people.
Visual Cactus is excellent for credentialing.

Data entry is user friendly. It is easy to set up basic queries. There is some customization allowable. LEMM is a life changer.
Nachteile:
There are some limitations. Cannot query off the audit log, i.e., changes made. It is very costly to have documents revised in AppCentral.
