Best hosting provider EVER!

Kommentare: Everything related to managing my websites I can now do with Cloudways. They even offer additional services such as 25GB mailboxes. Although more expensive than cPanel-based hosts, this is also way superior... They have other services as well that are super useful and professional. Just way better than anything out there. I tried them.

Vorteile:

- Easy to use - Much better interface than cPanel (their own system) - Choice between various reputable service providers - Incredible support - Super fast, responsive, truly helpful (most of the time) - Easy to create and manage multiple servers as well as create staging sites across servers - Competitive pricing - Trustworthy service, I never had any downtime. This EASES my mind and releaves stress, knowing that I can trust them with all my client websites.

Nachteile:

Nothing. Seriously. I love everything about Cloudways. Are there ways they could improve? Sure.. I guess. But I can't think of anything right now!

Great Cloud Hosting and Server Management Solution for Businesses

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

Cloudways is a solution I have been using with my business for quite a bit without any issues or cons. I totally recommend it.

AVOID Cloudways

Kommentare: Wish I could share screenshots here - my experience went from being a #1 fan of Cloudways to sharing all over how terrible they are. I run an agency that has relied on their services for years and they have steadily gotten worse month by month. I have screenshots & documentation from as far back as April reporting server issues. Suddenly performance took a nose dive and support keeps applying "optimizations" to the server which actually make it worse. Each screenshot shows one agent make a fix, followed by another that reverses the change saying it was incorrect, followed by the next redoing the change. This cycle has continued for months now and they refuse to do any real investigation.

Vorteile:

It was once a great service - the platform itself is easy to use.

Nachteile:

The support and back-end performance. Websites perform terribly, their support system has 0 idea what they are dong when configuring them and often breaks things. They offer no assistance to fix it and leave your server performing terribly.

DONT BUY CLOUDWAYS

Honestly these guys use to be great however the service is horrendous, outsource, they don't listen and make costly mistakes that bring your website down.

Cloudways My Warp Speed Host

Kommentare: I had a couple of small issues with the migration that Cloudways worked quickly to fix. There support team are helpful and knowledgeable.

Vorteile:

The support is excellent, knowledgeable and instantaneous. Easy to use with an awesome interface, the functionality is fantastic. Cloud hosting has had a positive impact on my SEO. The help and support with moving to Cloudways was amazing, they did all the hard work for me. Their add-ons like email hosting and their CDN are fantastic and relatively easy to setup.

Nachteile:

Took a bit to get my site migrated and integrated. It took time to learn how to use the software to its full advantage. If you're going to move your site to Cloudways cloud hosting be prepared to put in some serious time to get it up and running.

The worst nightmare of a hosting company

Kommentare: My experience with Cloudways was a nightmare. I dealt with 10s of hosting companies and none of them were so careless towards their customers.

Vorteile:

I liked mostly what is not cloudways' pro but rather digitalocean's. The server performance is good.

Nachteile:

They have the worst customer care in the industry. They automatically remove server AND public IP only after 48 hours without any prior notifications or anything. They are terrible at communicating such a drastic measure they are taking absolutely disregarding how it'll affect the customer. the IP lease cost only $3.60 month. Even keeping this IP for a month for the services you paid them would only cost $3.60... But they decide to release your IP only after 48... They are that cheap!!

Don't use them they don't care!

Vorteile:

After 2 years of hard work and hundreds of hours spent building my website they deleted it for an unpaid bill of $13!! I tried adding my new card details onto their system but it would not accept it. I then paid the outstanding amount of $13 but it was still deleted and they did not even back my website up so all is lost! I am furious with them and currently seeking legal advice. Do not use them!!!

CLOUDWAYS ARE THIEVES

I guess if I owned Cloudways I would like how overpriced they are, because I could just steal customers money and get super rich.

Nachteile:

Following their buyout by DigitalOcean I recieved my first and only phone call from Cloudways, asking if I would like a discount on the next 3 months of hosting. They explained that my site would be migrated from Vultr to DigitalOcean for free, seamlessly and without any issue. The migration was a joke, many of my regular customers got double charged as both servers were running concurrently, issues that took me hours to personally fix! This also hurt my reputation with customers, many refunds had to be given obviously! Then came the real kick. Cloudways DOUBLE CHARGED ME for both servers (the agreement was that I would get 14 days to close my old server without charge, which I did in 7 days). They took money from my account with authorisation. When I asked for a refund they flat out refused and only replied with this "Due to the nature of locked revenue, refunds are not possible". I have contacted them at least 10+ times via email / online chat to try and get this fixed but noone cares. They have said they would call me, they do not. Everything is misdirection and lies. Noone even responsed to my first email for 16 days!...and the service chat people say they are unable to help with billing matters - so I got the full runaround and deflection. Due to the problems with Cloudways I have moved my hosting to another provider where I have a much faster server (and the website is at least 2x faster), and the cost is HALF of what I was paying at Cloudways. If you're considering Cloudways, DON'T DO IT. Look at xCloud (xcloud.host), half the price, double the speed. Cloudways still owe me money but they refuse to refund. I'm now opening a transaction dispute with my bank as it is clearly theft and against the agreement. They are sticking with this "Upon authorizing your credit card on Cloudways, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions for automatic debiting."..... But taking more than agreed from my account is illegal and they need to provide refunds!

A Simple, Fast, and Flexible Cloud Hosting Solution

What I like most about cloudways is its flexibility and ease of use.

it doesn’t offer domain registration or built-in email hosting

I am compelled to share a disappointing experience with Cloudflare's service, which has resulted in a significant loss for my online presence. My website, valued over $10,000, was unceremoniously deleted due to an overlooked invoice of $25—a charge unknown to me as the notification was misdirected to my spam folder.Stay away from this terrible service like you would from fire; it's better to pay more than to work with them!!!!!!!

Cloudways changed the game!

Kommentare: When Cloudways burst on the hosting scene, they were blazing a trail for low-cost, high performance VPS in a very easy to use package. The industry is catching up, and Cloudways has some solid competitors now. That said, my company has been with Cloudways for 2 years and we're not likely to switch hosting providers anytime soon. They keep releasing new features like staging sites, great deals on CDN and Email via RackSpace. The overall experience is worth sticking around!

Vorteile:

Cloudways easy to use interface has been a breath of fresh air over cPanel. Their staging site feature is very handy (especially with E-Commerce sites), and you get great deals on CDN's, email hosting, and referral bonuses. There's lots of pro's to discuss, like in-built server security and caching features that you don't have to manage via command line. You do however, get lots of settings to tweak should you need!

Nachteile:

I only have one issue with Cloudways, and that's hit or miss support. Often support agents are very helpful and get to the bottom of your issue, but there are times when it feels like it's the rep's first day on the job. That said, this issue has been happening less and less over time, and I suspect Cloudways got the memo to improve their agent training. Haven't had any reps be rude, knock on wood!

Very bad experience with customer support

Cloudways have a pretty solid managed wp solution. It could almost count as very good if not for the very poor customer service experience.

Nachteile:

The customer experiences me and my co-worker got from support from a guy named [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], was simply horrible. His attitude was very arrogant and impatient. He wrote us off with a "It's a dns propagation problem, wait a few hours and it should be ok" excuse, even though we tried to tell him couple of times, to no avail, that the dns was'nt tampered with for a long time. When I did an nslookup from my computer it resloved without a problem. When I asked Mr [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] to please do an nslookup on his side, he repeated his annyoing reply: "I can understand it is showing in NS lookup but still the concern is domain isn't propagated Worldwide so please check your site after a few hours your concern hopefully resolved." "Please don't worry, just wait, as I have stated many times above your site will be up again once DNS propagated Worldwide" The bad part in all of this story is that we were trying to resolve a crash on an ecommerce website of one of our clients. We chose cloudways for their reputation, and left hanging without any help or permissions to do the things needed to try and fix this. This is absolutly unacceptable and a hurrible customer service, one of the worst that I ever got online. Would not reccomend cloudways to anyone. Not if you value your uptime.

Great alternative to shared hosting if you know a little

Kommentare: I've been using Cloudways for a little while but I'm really really liking it. I came from a shared hosting plan and cPanel and couldn't be happier. I feel like I can finally grow my web businesses without all the constraints that normally come with shared hosting and dealing with typical hosting companies.

Vorteile:

Cloudways was so easy to set up. I was able to get a server on Digital Ocean setup in a matter of minutes, and then 6 websites (as applications) setup and live in no time. What I like the most - Customer service is awesome. They help me solve a problem that I caused, and corrected it for me. - You can spin up a new server or application very quickly - Adding email and CDN is cost effective and easy to do - Ability to scale my server based on my needs - No month-to-month contracts - Interface is clean and easy to navigate and 100% better than cPanel What I'm experimenting with - They offer staging environments but they are still in beta. I'll be playing around with them a little more in the future to better understand how I can use them in my workflow. They do offer the ability to clone staging environments to a live server with a click of a button so that looks promising.

Nachteile:

Their online documentation isn't as detailed as it needs to be. I found myself Googling a few things to get my applications and domain setup correctly. Many times I found the answers I needed on another blog post or by piecing together info from several differnt sources. I hope they are able to update their docs in the future and can provide a more detailed guide for domain provisioning.

Of two minds...

Kommentare: Overall, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Cloudways. At times it's good and at times it's absolutely frustrating in the way they're setup.
I tend to prefer a Digital Ocean + Server Pilot combination.

Vorteile:

I know a lot of agency businesses like using Cloudways, the pricing is good for using services like Digital Ocean, but see my cons. Their interface is not your normal cPanel type interface but it's not bad and offers some nice user-friendly access to server features.

Nachteile:

I'm relatively savvy with working with web hosts and setting up sites, servers, etc. But for some reason, I found using Cloudways to be somewhat frustrating in their setup. The other annoying thing is the way they handle additional MySQL databases for a site (e.g. if you have multiple apps installed that require a MySQL database). Also, tech support can vary - for the most part, they've been pretty good, but I have encountered 1 or 2 lousy tech support agents. The last one I encountered was very dismissive, somewhat condescending, didn't read or pay attention at all and ended up not being helpful at all.

The best cloud manager ever

Kommentare: Personally, it is the best alternative to shared hosting, only for very large sites the cost of it can multiply significantly and it could be better to manage it in an instance directly in AWS, GCS, etc.

Vorteile:

Allows you to manage cloud instances of VULTR, Linode, Digital Ocean, AWS and GCS. The configuration is very simple and allows you to carry out almost any custom configuration. You can see higher performance and speed when migrating sites

Nachteile:

In the new servers it doesn't allow you to install mysql to manage data bases, they use mariadb but on one occasion I had an incompatibility thats why I write as a Cons

Best managed hosting

Absolutely the best service. Incrediable fast help on the chat. Great and reliable hosting. Yes, they charge a bit extra on top of the service providers but it's well worth it

Great VPS

Vorteile:

We primarily used cPanel and Unix servers in the past, so coming to Cloudways was a big change. However, it's very easy to deploy and manage a VPS and share access with who needs it.

Nachteile:

It's not as user friendly as it could be. But then again, this isn't really something aimed at an entry level user.

Awesome

Vorteile:

The best part is being up and running in minutes without having to do anything. Well, almost anything. The nice thing also is having a choice between hosting like Digital Ocean or AWS, Azure, etc.

Nachteile:

Like all awesome, modern things, when it hits a snag it is really frustrating. The interface is complicated, but it is functional.

Love the ease of use and functionality of Cloudways!

The lower packages are basically shared hosting but it's not Cloudways, it is the other providers such as Digital Ocean, Vultr etc.

Bad vendor

Kommentare: Very bad company. When you will need them - they won't be there for you as a customer. On the other side, they know well to charge you double.

Switching to Cloudways was easy and never looked back

Kommentare: I've saved so much time by not having to worry about the websites going down or being hacked as Cloudways covers both of these issues.

Vorteile:

The switch to Cloudways from a previous hosting company was extremely simple and fast.

Nachteile:

The UI can get a bit of getting used to but after some time it's actually more simple and easy to use than other software.

This software is easy to use reliable and also affordable for me there are better hosting platforms than cloudways in terms of price it beats all records

The disadvantage is that it the ability to send emails by users

Good Cloud Web Hosting

Vorteile:

Performance is excellent - pages load much faster than on my previous VPS host. Support is good, both through knowledgebase and online chat. Access to resources is pretty good, via SFTP and SSH and MySQL Workbench

Nachteile:

Don't have as much control over resources as you do with a VPS. No phpMyAdmin, though they claim you can install it yourself but the instructions are incomplete regarding creating users. I used MyQL Workbench but that is a Mac application so is not a solution for everyone. Had problems creating email accounts for domains that did not have content, violates their anti-spam rules

Cloudways is the Ultimate Hosting Provider

Kommentare: Great platform for when you need a VPS but don't have the time to configure and maintain your own server. The support team is really efficient and always go above beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. I recommend this platform to everyone who is serious about their online business
