Hive is a great option for Project Management

Kommentare: Overall I have liked Hive. It's been a great program and we will continue to use it. Though it's boring, it does its job well and I recommend it for anyone looking for alternative project management apps from the big ones.

Vorteile:

I've really liked my time with Hive. It's a really clean concise interface and has a deep feature set. It was easy to learn and has been a huge help with keeping our projects on track.

Nachteile:

I do not have anything negative to say about Hive. It's been great but at the same time the same as all the others. It's vanilla. I haven't found any "surprise" features.

Game Changer PPM Program

Kommentare: Project, task and resource management.
Team collaboration and document storage.

Vorteile:

Hive allows me to manage projects, tasks and resources automatically. Document storage is another added advantage about this tool.

Nachteile:

Unavailability of on-premise platforms for mobile and desktop is the only issue with Hive.

Development Done Very Wrong

Kommentare: Hive more than doubles the amount of tedious, manual data entry required for every project. Most of my team actively avoids using Hive as much as possible. Instead we rely on spreadsheets and email to do literally everything Hive can do but better, faster, and with less training. Then we just mark everything complete in Hive so it looks like we're using it.

Vorteile:

If you complain about Hive enough you'll get a thirsty email from Hive's [sensitive content hidden] asking for free advice.

Nachteile:

Hive proudly proclaims itself "the world's first democratic project management platform," then goes on to explain, "That means that our product is built by users, for users, via feedback on our Forum." What it actually means is not only do they expect end users to beta test their unfinished software but also that they expect those end users to pay for the privilege. The backlog of bugs that users have reported via their forum is five years long. They have no plans to actually fix anything; instead they're obsessed with addeing "new" features that are really just re-packaged old features that never worked right and still don't. Hive somehow manages to fail at even the simplest functions of basic project management. For example, if the dates for a project shift back a week, you have to manually change the date for every single action and subaction in that project. Unless, that is, you pay for an add-on tool that lets you automate that. But you'll have to program it yourself. And it probably won't work anyway. Because they didn't bother to test if the automate tool and they're using you, the paying user, as a guinea pig.

Quality Project Management Tool

It has made assigning of tasks easy and management tasks simple. It has simplified our office duties.

Nachteile:

Their is no kind of dislike that I found.

A Superlative and Magnificent Project Management Software.

In using Hive for project management, one drawback I encountered was a steeper learning curve for team members unfamiliar with the platform. Brilliant project management tool with enhanced collaboration

Kommentare: Really useful tools at a very reasonable price. Enhances collaboration and comms across the organisation.

Vorteile:

Love the way this is set up with varied views. Teams view is the most useful for me - I love that you can track actions as they pass between teams. Bonus is that the Gantt does allow a great overview.

Nachteile:

Not great for time tracking and then getting an overview of your time for the day or week over all projects.

The tool has a lot of features but not very intuitive to use

Kommentare: The tool seemed liked it had it all for managing the whole operations of my function but once started using it I ended up giving up on features like time tracking and ended up using sheets for simplicity and efficiency. Once a feature fails to deliver because of how complex it is, the whole project team ends up parting with the whole platform. I would suggest reworking the entire platform unless the aim is to keep it for dedicated project managers and not function leads that want a tool that is much easier to keep the ball rolling while adding efficiency to their function

A lot of project and team management features including time and progress tracking

Nachteile:

Not very easy to use and setting up the time tracking feature requires a lot of time and work

Quality product with an excellent team behind it

Kommentare: Hive has been an excellent partner for us and our clients.

Vorteile:

We have been partnered with Hive as a reseller for about a decade. We have multiple clients that use the Hive product and it has always been a reliable product. When questions come up or help is needed, the Hive team is always very easy to access and provided excellent and fast support. The quality of the analytics that are collected in the Hive platform are excellent and easy to dig into to find fine details. Overall, excellent product, excellent team of people behind the product.

Nachteile:

Hive collects a great deal of performance metrics from end users. This data is very valuable and it can take a little bit to learn the different ways to slide and dice the data - that said, after a couple of hours spent digging into the data is about all it takes and that couple of hours is a VERY worth while investment and given the utility of the information available well worth the time.

Desktop works great, complications with phone

Kommentare: The platform is great in assigning tasks to team member to keep everyone on track however the desktop and mobile app does not work seamlessly with bugs through the phone platform

Easy project management

Kommentare: Hive has been a great help in keeping an overview of all the different projects that run simultaneously. Assigning tasks, checking off to-do lists and tracking time is what I use Hive for on a daily basis, and with great pleasure!

Vorteile:

The software is really easy to use - and very friendly to the eyes and mind. I love using the Gantt-chart option when setting up projects, to keep a nice overview of the status of a project. For employees to be able to switch project views is an excellent tool too, because not everyone needs the overview like me.

Nachteile:

What I like least is the way integration with email and Slack is done. It definitely works, and probably like charm knowing the team and the software, but it sits on a rather small portion of the screen and makes the rest of the app a lot smaller, too.

Hive is a Complete Gamechanger!

Kommentare: Overall, Hive has been a game changer for us. We haven't had a project management or project planning tool at all since I have started at my company and having this now has been so helpful. The ease of use and the user friendly interface has made the adoption process smooth and collaboration has seemed to soar so far.

Vorteile:

What I love most about Hive is the number of options you have to make the project plan work for you. In my organization, we have a variety of different project types and sometimes one size does not fit all. We have the option now to plan our projects out based on the type of tasks/teams that are assigned and and we can find something that fits for each one. It's also been so incredibly helpful to have a variety of different views so we can share them with our clients and it makes updating projects so much easier when a milestone shifts or something like that. The integrations also make it extremely helpful for us to share projects across different departments.

Nachteile:

One of the only cons I have seen so far is the Jira integration. We have a software team that operates solely through Jira and while that works for them, we've been trying to bridge the gap between Jira and Hive so that we can work efficiently. I just wish that the integration with Jira was a little more robust, however, it's not something that will make things super difficult for us and would just be a nice to have!

Love Hive!!

We are a small digital marketing firm. We had tried other programs, but Hive had the best package of support, collaboration and work flow!

Nachteile:

Time tracking needs some work, but that is eclipsed by the wonders of version control and mark up of assets prior to approval.

Avis hive

Kommentare: It's a very good software that I highly recommend to everyone for project management but the mobile application is very small.

Vorteile:

It's magical project management software. It manages the different tasks automatically. It's simply great software. I recommend it to all project managers.

Nachteile:

It's great software that works great but the mobile app is limited in some features.

Absolute Game-changer for My Team!

Nachteile:

We didn't face any issues with the software, but some minor bugs irritated us sometimes which I think is not a major issue.

I am impressed with this product as it meets all the needs of my business. I find all the features to be useful and have been utilizing them effectively. I have no complaints or dislikes about this product.

It is worth a try.

Kommentare: For basic or complex project management it is robust enough in terms of tools and flexibility. It has many functions and the established tasks are accomplished in shorter time frames.

Vorteile:

It is easy to access as it is compatible with a variety of operating systems. When I start new projects, I can keep track of the ongoing ones. My favorite aspects are the division of projects by phases, the customizable timeline, being able to budget/schedule, and set a defined framework. The labels and colors help me individualize and highlight project phases for a better overview and control.

Nachteile:

*Using the mobile version, I see that it limits the functionality and potential of Hive. *Also there should be clearer tutorials for the initial setup. ...However, once it is all set up, it is very nice to work on projects, but it could save headaches at the beginning.

Hive Taken to the next level

Kommentare: Hive has been a great help managing sales orders, manufacturing processes, quality inspections right down to shipments. It provides MFT with a live overview of all the various projects running simultaneously by assigning travelers, tasks, additional notes, check off lists all on a daily basis.

Vorteile:

Know Hive is a Project Management tool MFT has taken it to the next level. We use Hive to following the manufacturing process from start to finish. As the Quality Manager, I use Hive to track scheduled fabrication on a daily basis. As orders are generated, the fabrication process is tracked throughout the build, to completion. Quality inspections are reported, and documented, then uploaded results so the team can review results. At this point, the jobs are tagged as complete and moved to the next step which is packing and shipping.

Nachteile:

As sales orders are generated, they are inputted into Hive along with all applicable documents, PO#, drawings, travelers and additional notes is needed. Hive use to be able to open a Autocad file or Solidworks file, but now, the drawing file has to be downloaded then opened. This is an extra step we didnt have to do in the past. The recent update eliminated the ability to open these files from Hive.

After a learning curve, Hive is a strong for smaller organizations

Kommentare: Overall I enjoy using Hive. It is a simple software that serves every real need that I have. It could have more bells and whistles, but those aren't essential to operation, so I can't complain.

Vorteile:

Hive seems to work best for organizations under 100 employees. It's cross collaborative and does a good job keeping you informed of upcoming due dates for tasks. The messaging service is also very useful and easy to understand, it's barebones but it gets the job done.

Nachteile:

There is a pretty big learning curve for the first couple weeks of use, particularly with assigning tasks and managing projects. It's not the most intuitive software, but once you learn how to use it, it gets substantially easier to use. The process for creating a repeated tasked is a little tedious.

Great for productivity and task tracking at mass

Kommentare: Overall, Hive was a great addition to the team. We used to do daily catchups with the stakeholders, which honestly wasted a lot of time in total for the whole team. With Hive, not only are we able to streamline work, it is also accountable and saves times by reducing needs for constant catchups on a daily basis. Anytime a stakeholder needs an idea of where the project is going, all that needs to be done is to login to Hive.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, many different views and ways to personalize the UI to suit each person's needs. Notifications are great to also help track tasks and ensure completion of tasks amongst the team is done well. Hive is great for small teams with large, repetitive tasks that needs to be tracked on multiple steps, which is what exactly my team has been using it for. All in all good experience, has helped cut down the need or daily catchups as all stakeholders can easily see project status and update project details quickly as well

Nachteile:

No way to track version history. We have a rouge person who keeps randomly deleting our templates in the organisation. Hive has no way to track things like these however. Also, I have used other project management softwares, and a lack of a desktop app or a addon (meaning you have to always open a tab to get the notifications) is a bit of a bummer

best tool for management projects

what I would like to see again in hive is that the mobile application is full of few features compared to the computer one

Amazing Collaborative Project Management Tool

Kommentare: Overall, really like this software for our larger and more complex projects. We have seen an increase in collaboration and information sharing, and a decrease in missed deadlines, confusion, and forgotten tasks. The features are helpful and help users to gain deeper insights into the project. You cna csutomize the interface to suit your needs. HIghly recommend this for any team looking for assistance and a platform to work together. Great Software!

Vorteile:

This software not only helps to develop collaboration, but also encourages it with its ease of use and features. We use the software across our company to assist with developing workflows for our multistep projects. We can map out our steps, objectives and responsibilities. The multiple view options helps us to look at progress from different perspectives and gauge where we are.

Nachteile:

Can take some time to get used to and set up. Does require a lot of assistance when introducing the software to beginner users. Doesnt take long after the first few tries.

Hive Changed my life

Vorteile:

Hive is the single best end-to-end project management software on the market. I've tried pretty much all of them and they hide critical features behind tiered payment plans unnecessarily. I have team members all across the world and we all use it to stay on top of critical projects daily. I especially love the forms feature for standard or weekly tasks. Every single time I've reached out to customer service regarding questions or issues they've been professional and especially helpful to me. They've always known how to help, gone out of their way to make sure I was satisfied, and given me exactly what I need. In my opinion, Hive knocks every single other task or project management software out of the water. It has increased our productivity, simplified our communication, prevented issues with clients, and given everyone in my company peace of mind.

Nachteile:

The app for the phone isn't as functional as the desktop app for Mac or the online version.

Head and shoulders above the rest

Kommentare: Intuitive UX design: check. Customization: check. Small expert touches: check. This software makes managing projects and seeing where all of our projects are at a breeze.

Vorteile:

I'm a designer at a small agency, and we have as many as 12 different client projects going on at the same time. Before, figuring out priorities and deadlines was organizational chaos. With Hive, I know what's due when, who's working on it, what the feedback is, what the status of the project is, and all at a glance. I love the built-in messenger and different layouts for viewing projects. The small touches like custom messenger statuses and built-in giphy make Hive fun to use.

Nachteile:

I think the notifications section needs some improvement. I'd like more settings for how and when I receive notifications. My bosses are out of pocket a lot of the time, and we haven't been able to figure out how to make sure they get email notifications for the right things. Right now we're still relying on email for some internal communications, but I hope that won't be the case in the future.

Hive for in-house design & marketing team

Kommentare: It;'s been pretty much exactly what I wanted, and has worked as well as I could have hoped for. It has helped us greatly reduce the time it was taking us to input data from design requests, and it helps us stay on track with our large volume of active projects.

Vorteile:

First off, it's the best priced option I found in my research. It's way below other services. I was happy to find that the interface and functionality did not suffer due to the low price tag. The platform is pretty much ideal for our purposes, design request forms, job traffic, and even long term strategic organization. Customer support is good, generally quick responses and help.

Nachteile:

A few minor things here and there, like not being able to delete custom fields that I created. I feel like I looked pretty thoroughly for a way to delete them and didn't find it, but I also have not spoken to customer support, which i'm sure could help. Some trouble adding users at first, invite email took a while to get to teh person.
