Like Mailchimp, but for Text

Kommentare: We are a subscription based e-commerce company and we use Textedly to connect with users when their credit card has expired such that they can update their payment method.

Vorteile:

Cost! Of the various texting platforms, we found Textedly to be among the most economical. Additionally, I like that customers can join our text message lists by sending us a text message. This comes in very useful when we are delivering s presentation or are at a convention.

Nachteile:

When you sign up, you’re assigned a phone number like “555-222”. I wish that the number was a normal number, like 612-555-5555, because customer tune out the corporate looking number. Secondly, it is very difficult to text customers individually. Rather, the platform is built for “mass” texts that go to an entire list of people. Finally, there is no ability to add in unique elements into the text. For example, in email marketing you can add tags to include an individual’s name into the body of an email. That type of customization doesn’t exist via Textedly.

Kommentare: Quite good. They were very helpful early on. Since then, it's been an easy platform to use.

Vorteile:

The customer support was great during my research. They promptly answered my questions, even anticipating future considerations.

Nachteile:

There's really not much I don't like. I suppose the layout of the platform itself could be a little better, but that's just personal preference.

The left over messages don’t roll over. They keep charging credit card even after the subscription was cancelled and will not issue refund for their mistake. The worst customer service Ever. Better use someone else.

Vanguard in Texting Functionality, Lots of Other Options Now

Kommentare: We used it initially and really enjoyed it. However, now we find that there are other alternatives that are more valuable for e-commerce companies like ours.

Vorteile:

You have the ability to import phone numbers and collect phone number leads relatively easily. Once you have a list of phone numbers, you have the ability to text message them.

Nachteile:

You dont have the ability to text from a number that looks like an “actual” 10-digit phone number. Rather, you are assigned a number like “xx-xxx”. In doing so, the individuals who you text get the feeling that this is a corporate service.

If you work in the US, do not hire virtual assistants outside

Kommentare: I can not understand how a website for communicating with people, ban other countries IP. I receive like 5 phone calls and messages from people in india. If you call customer support of ANY big or small company you will be talking with somebody outside the US. How can they possibly think on forbid the access to this website from a country like Mexico! I am pretty sure we all have a foreign assistant for marketing. Not this way textedly, not this way.

It is incredible that they banned Mexico IP and who know how many more. You cant have external users to help you because of this ban.

Good, not great, Solid for Mass Texts

Vorteile:

It was relatively easy to use and loved that you could send a test text to yourself. We used it for sending out important news articles as soon as they were published during the peaks of Covid to keep people informed. Worked well for instant communication.

Nachteile:

It didn't have a ton of features for the monthly price. There are also not any mobile apps - always required you to login on a desktop.

The Only Guarantee My Customers See!

Kommentare: The reason I chose Textedly is because I was looking for an affordable option to communicate with my followers while being on a very small budget. Textedly is exactly what I need without a ton of bells and whistles. I love the service and my customer engagement has increased greatly!

Vorteile:

I like that the software is very easy to use and that I can see my results immediately when a message is delivered.

Nachteile:

I don't like that there isn't a separate mobile app that I can use with the software. Even though you can use it through your browser, it's not the same.

One of the best sms texting and marketing services

Kommentare: We’ve had an excellent experience with textedly and have come to trust them over the years we’ve used them for our important group communications.

Vorteile:

I love how reliable and easy to use Textedly’s web dashboard is. Things are well though out and easy to find. The feature set has everything we need including the ability to bulk import, schedule messages, and even attach photos. It doesn’t require any of our end users to instal anything like WhatsApp and requires no special training for those receiving messages. We use it for group messaging large numbers of volunteers. The pricing is super fair and the customer service is excellent. I’ve compared textedly with a lot of other services in its range and by far I prefer and trust it for needs.

Nachteile:

In order to bulk import textedly has to approve your account and it’s best you sign up with a domain email if you want to import via csv a list of contacts. However they do this in order to reduce the likelihood of getting their short code flagged as spam and this helps to ensure the reliability of sms messages getting delivered reliably. So in truth this is a positive thing. Just requires some manual verification to get approved for it. But customer service is fast to get it done. I’d suggest that maybe they could have someone available via email on the weekends who could enable this feature in case a user signs up late in the week and needs to enable the feature asap. But not a huge deal.

Looking to switch after many years.

Kommentare: I'm looking to switch. Textedly may look pretty but the customer service is slow, I've waited days for replies, missed more text message deadlines than I wished to have ever happen and it can be very glitchy. I'd love to find another product. I dread using this tool in order to find there's another problem someone can't help me solve until days later.

It's decently easy to use some of the time.

Nachteile:

When it's not easy to use, the support is LACKING. Taking days or hours to get back and not much help at times. For example: Last Friday, I went to send out a text, 144 characters using one text message, glitched and wouldn't let me send. Finally I cut my list in half hoping it would help. It sent, but it said it used two text messages ($200+ worth). I even personally received the message as one text message. It's been 3 days, it's now 3pm on Monday, I'm hoping one day someone will help me. The only person to write back said I should have used incognito and it was my fault... Other examples: You buy a "keyword" and in order to stop paying for that keyword you need to manually unsubscribe every single person on that list. Other nuances: If someone is subscribed to more than one keyword and you want to send a message, it will send the person the same text twice, the system can't identify if there's one person on two lists. Other problems: You send a photo and it looks fine in preview or test, and it will send the size of the tiniest thumbnail to your subscribers. Another: Sometimes the text system goes down.

A great interface with a user centered functionality

Vorteile:

We are always on the move so we need something which can be easily accessible and flexible. Textedly suits best for instant messaging. It gives us feasibility to send a proper format message so that our customer/clients gets the whole knowledge in a single message, thanks to Textedly. Along with mass messaging, we can schedule it as well for later days. Apart from all other functionality, Textedly has a great customer support, which adds more value to customer experience.

Nachteile:

Satisfied with all the aspects, and so simple to operate, for the cons, there is nothing much but they can always bring something new, which solves the pain issues of email marketing, can have more options in "Filter". Other than that, Great Work Textedly Team!

Worst customer service ever

Company has the worst customer service. I have tried to cancel on multiple occasions but they NEVER get back with the customer. I have tried to cancel but since my account was on an annual contract, could not do it through the website. Spoke with multiple people over chat since their phone service is terrible, and been told that "someone" will reach out to you regarding this issue. I hardly receive replies on the chat site on the web page, and they ignore your requests. Do not use this service unless you want some major stress in your life. Terrible company.

Don't allow you to cancel

Nothing, there is nothing redeeming about this service and there is only downside of their overcharging you.

Nachteile:

They won't allow you to cancel only within a narrow window, and continue charging you despite requesting cancellation. In my case multiple times.

primary communication vehicle for early closures, relaying pertinent info on road closures to transport and field staff. All of these functions are easily accomplished in 2 minutes or less. This is a vital tool in our safety and emergency preparedness and management toolbox. Look forward to utilizing additional functions offered, but not yet explored in the software. We have 10 sites in 2 states and this tool allows the customization for each site.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, reporting functions, useful for normal operations as well as emergency operational change information stream notification, ability to craft and store common communication templates, easy navigation using the dashboard even for first time users.

Fantastic, and the Best Price for This Type of Service

Kommentare: We used this platform to send a series of incentives and promotions to our current customer base over the holidays. The service worked very well for us, and I can definitely see us doing a similar campaign with them during the next holiday season.

Vorteile:

The interface is easy to navigate, and setting up scheduled messages was simple (they included helpful instructions). The price is also great for the service. It may not offer quite as many features as some of the competitors, but for a simplified version of a bulk messaging service, it's a better value (especially when, like me, you don't use many of the additional features offered by other comparable options. For smaller businesses, this is an exceptional choice.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if it were easier to filter, perhaps some more customization options there would be nice. Aside from that, there's not really anything I can complain about. The one time I had to contact support, the wait time seemed a bit lengthy, but I don't know if that's a regular occurrence or not.

Simple and Easy

Kommentare: This service has been incredibly easy to use. If you need to go to more characters and send two texts that works pretty easy. If you don't have enough messages in your bank, it is easy to purchase the additional ones needed to send those all out. Overall, this is just a basic system that is easy to use. You don't get a lot of customization, but for small companies like us with only a few thousand texts going out each month, it is a perfect fit.

Vorteile:

The set-up was really easy. Once we signed up, we used the online chat for help. They walked us through what we needed, sent us the forms, and then it was super easy to implement. Each time we send out more texts, we can see previous campaigns and even re-send as we choose. Notifications when people text us come to our email so we don't have to log in constantly and check. Very user friendly.

Nachteile:

Unfortunately you cannot send campaigns to only NEW people who sign up. So if you have a campaign this week and send it out and hope more people sign up, you either individually have to text them, or wait until your next campaign. You can't just grab those people all in one swoop. Opt in is easy for the member, but if they opt out in error, and text you that...you can't use this system to opt them back in or contact them. You have to use something else (email, call, etc) and inform them to sign up again.

1. High level of deliverability 2. Ability to communicate & track the process with many clients at the same time 3. Cost per text 4. Ability to send pictures and links 5. Simplicity to use

Nachteile:

It would help if you can have more keywords for the same monthly rate. We need to track different groups on our list and it will help if it is possible to use different keywords without paying extra. You will attract more clients with this flexibility. All the rest works great! Thank you!

Not Worth The Value - Better Software Available

Kommentare: Overall we never deployed it because of the difficulties getting it to work with our POS and CRM. Multiple apps are needed to make it function and then some data doesn't transfer over.

Vorteile:

The text service is very easy to use and the customer support is quick and responsive. I was trying to send links and it was functioning properly. They were quick to make it right and looked into alternative solutions.

Nachteile:

You may not be able to send a url link. The mobile carriers block it. Which isn’t textedly fault.

Good Texting Program, but Not Efficient

Vorteile:

I like that I can schedule out my texts for the whole month, choosing the times and days with ease. It's an affordable solution for SMS Marketing.

Nachteile:

My biggest complaint with Textedly is how long it takes to schedule. There are only 100 numbers per page and you can only choose one page as a time. So if I am sending 500 texts at noon today, I have to go to page one, choose ALL on that page, go to page two, choose ALL, etc... until I have my five pages/500 texts. BUT, if I want to send the same text to another 500 people at 2pm (so we're spacing texts and not overloading phones/websites) I have to go through pages 1 -5 first to get to the next set. When we have 10k+ texts, that can take a long time to schedule -- and it does.

Easy-to-use interface and great way to interact with our customers.

Vorteile:

Interface - it is easy to use for anyone regardless of technical skill. Contact management - it is very easy to upload a CSV file of your customer list or manually enter in a new contact. Searching for a specific contact or keyword tied to that contact is also easy. Ability to schedule texts - this alone is great because I can schedule campaigns ahead of time when a promo goes live and I don't have to worry about setting it up the day-of. Individual and mass texting abilities - our customers love that now we can send individual texts that their order has been shipped and alerts them. Also the ease of use in sending a mass text is the real use of this and having both capabilities really makes this product shine. Price - great value for the product. Texting services are a dime-a-dozen these days and I have used a few but Textedly is the best all around for value of what you get!

Nachteile:

Not a major con, but would like the ability to send messages to specific people or keywords using a filter from the new message page. It already can be done by going to the Subscribers page, performing a filtered search and then sending message from there. It's not a major con and is nit picking since that is only one extra step but that's about the only con I can think of using Textedly.

Nachteile:

STAY AWAY.......I set up a account with them , then they removed my ability to access my account again due to a credit card issue. I told them I give you another credit card but they never responded back. So they took my money and all the 200 messages I sent. Rude.
