Vorteile:

1. Extremely good in performance and query management. 2. Highly scalable with ease of user management and accessibility. 3. Can be easily configured and manageable dashboard. 4. Easy and quick deployment.

Nachteile:

AI needs to be introduced to make process much quicker and smarter.

SAP Hana is a solid integration tool

Kommentare: SAP Hana allows you to drill down into the data and get really granular by going to the individual transactions. Interfacing with Tableau and Excel gives you the ability to take the data and create some visualizations that can tell a story to leadership and decision makers.

Vorteile:

I love that this software easily interfaces with Tableau, Excel, etc. We deal with hundreds of thousands of lines of data so it is important to be able to interface with other applications.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the connection between SAP Hana and our other applications becomes unstable so we have downtime where we can't use it.

It is a database that just works. Yes, it is a bit older, but if it works then that's all you need.

Kommentare: I can't image how we would be running without using SAP HANA. The database ability has over a decade of proven reliability with our company. It is reliable, albeit a bit outdated, but essential to our work.

Vorteile:

SAP HANA Cloud has honestly been instrumental for my day-to-day job. From a data management perspective, it does its job really well. Accessing data can be streamline into several different applications I have accessible.

Nachteile:

The UI and process is a bit outdated and could use some modernization. But can't get upset because if it's not broken then don't need to fix it. Just something to be aware of.

A user's perspective

Kommentare: frustrating and very slow to learn and easy to forget when you don't use regularly.

Vorteile:

The reporting functionality seems powerful, but very hard to get quality data into the system to report.

Nachteile:

Not a single screen I have come across from purchaings, to time sheeting to project management (EPPM) can be navigated or used without specialist training. It is completely unintuitive to use, with standard OK or Cancel buttons randomly appearing in different locations, no limits to the size of drop boxes, obscure acronyms and crazy numbering systems with alpha numeric codes often having 3, 4,5 or 6 zeros in the middle and no two codes will have the same length - some are 9-digit, some 6 and some are 5-digit.

Kommentare: Overall this software has been a good option for the company running on SAP ERP. The process of loading the data to warehouse has been faster in HANA cloud than other tools

Vorteile:

The best thing about this application is it is on the cloud, which has saved a big in maintenance costs. The Data extraction of the data for reporting from this application is very fast.

Nachteile:

Compared to other competitor tools like Azure or Snowflake. This seems to be little expensive. The only least thing about the software

The fact we can do so much with one product really helps eliminate the need for multiple logins and duties when it's a one stop shop.

Nachteile:

There is nothing I have encountered that I would say detracts from the product.

Ability to integrate easily with other SAP products. Minimal on-premise infrastructure required. Multiple hosting possibilities.

Nachteile:

Learning curve - not as intuative as I expected. Requires good master data management solution to fully understand the data.

Bit of a learning curve for anyone who is not aware of it.

Es agradable hasta para las personas que tienen poca experiencia con sistemas de base de datos, fue muy fácil de aprender y utilizar.

Nachteile:

Algunas funciones son bastante limitadas y no te dejan adaptarla a la empresa, pero en lo demás está bien.

SAP HANA Cloud is a very Powerful Database Server Option

Kommentare: Overall, SAP HANA Cloud is one of the most powerful database options in the market. If a company can afford it, it will definitely be value for money.

Vorteile:

As a SAP Consultant, I have had the opportunity to work with various database options. In the SAP ecosystem, the two major database options for SAP ERP's are Microsoft SQL server and SAP HANA. My opinion is, Microsoft SQL server has nothing on SAP HANA. SAP HANA is an in memory database, a feature that makes it very fast and gives it ability to support multitudes of data without slowing down the system.When it comes to Data analysis options, SAP HANA is way much better that Microsoft SQL. It gives you the ability to view your data summary in dashboards and KPIs, helping you makes better decisions in a timely fashion. Searching within a SAP HANA database is google like, helping you find the much needed information very quickly.SAP HANA Cloud can be integrated with Excel so data can be pulled from the database and viewed in Excel to make further analysis to the data, considering that most users are more familiar with Excel.

Nachteile:

SAP HANA is expensive and has a steep learning curve to successfully implement and manage. It is therefore not a viable option for smaller companies.

Some inbuilt windows function can be added and more nodes can be given in default so that the no code approach can be more acheviable .

Great Database Management Tool

Kommentare: I work with SAP HANA on the daily in order to perform ad hoc investigations and it works perfectly. All our data sources, schemas, models, and repositories are there. Plus it's integrated with our SAP business operations.

Vorteile:

I like that HANA is very easy to use for navigation or development purposes alike. HANA allows for the creation of materialized views which speeds up performance a LOT

Nachteile:

In some cases, literally if you don't have a materialized view it's impossible to preview a model without it taking over 10+ mins to query on ONE single object. The issue is that, materialized views are a transaction and cost storage. To me, MVs shouldn't have to cost extra.

A powerful upgrade for SAP B1 USERS

Kommentare: Has overall improved user efficiency as data access speed has improved and unwanted features have been removed and the ui has overall recieved a graphical cleanup helping the users take more informed decisions

Vorteile:

The gui has received major updates and makes it a visual treat to use Faster data access using improved database structuring improves overall user experience

Nachteile:

Needs to check on reducing overall product costs Developer function should be further improved so that users can get a better leverage on the product and reform the application for individual product use basis application

An in-memory database that will accelerate your ABAP programs

Vorteile:

It has a learning curve from an ABAP developer standpoint, but once you know your way around them it is a very powerful tool. The introduction of CDS and its execution within HANA will allow you to create complex data models easily and the extraction of the data is lightning fast compared to previous iterations of the SAP application that used other databases. Also, using it on cloud will make it easier to work with the database as you don't have to worry about the high end hardware requirements.

Nachteile:

I don't have any complains about the performance from S/4, but I've heard colleagues mention that analytics don't always perform as promised/expected.

SAP is the most powerful ERP in the world and with HANA they are moving in the right direction

Kommentare: SAP has always been good when trying to emulate your needs as a company to an ERP. All the configuration, Z programs and setups are so broad that you can practically do anything with SAP, but switching to HANA was mostly to take advantage of it's new database and the cloud option.

Vorteile:

With SAP HANA we are moving to the future of our company switching from the previous version SAP ECC. This new system has improved from the last version specially when reporting. Becuase all fields are indexed, extracting info and running reports are really fast and some fixing in the security side has solved problems of roles and object we had before.

Nachteile:

The Business partner transaction "BP" is something I still don't understand its reasoning. The complications of having customer, suppliers, employees, contacts, etc in one single transaction has complicated things for us but I guess is just matter of getting acquainted to it.

Great application. SAP never disappoints

Kommentare: Overall a great application. I use it mainly for supply chain management. It took time for integration but the waiting paid off. My system is much more streamlined from previous. If you need swift data processing this is the best tool.

Vorteile:

The application is very flexible and easy to use. The data security is amazing. Data accessibility processing is very convenient as well. My experience with reporting is also satisfactory.

Nachteile:

The application is very expensive. The integration process is also very time consuming. The licensing is also super expensive.

SAP HANA Review

Kommentare: it was a good software as it give clear picture of everything by just sitting in front of your computer/laptop.You don't need to ask call or run anywhere. system will tell you correct and exact picture of everything.

Vorteile:

Data management is prefect for this software.Easy to access.This is also flexible as it can be customized as per the requirement/need of user.

Nachteile:

T-codes are difficult to remember.The screen get cut whne not touched for few minutes so in case if any report is running in backend and if you do not download within few mins it will get cut and again you have tp start the process of downloading it.

Management does not get better than this - SAPA HANA Cloud

Vorteile:

This product is incredibly comprehensive i.e. contains modules that is capable of developing platforms for management of everything company related from attendance, training, payment to warehouse and inventory management.

Nachteile:

This software or modules can be overwhelming to use for newcomers and relies heavily on the lan/internet connection.
