Kommentare: AppSheet was great for implementing small applications in the workplace, meant to be used by one person. Once the ideas started to take off, there was a lot of limitations I ran into, including price. At that point I found it more lacerative too look into other solutions and migrate my apps to another platform.

Vorteile:

AppSheet is an incredible piece of software that easily integrates with Google Sheets, Excel, Salesforce, and others. Its GUI is very user friendly, and allows new/amature coders to create full web-apps with minimal knowledge. Very easy to use, and produces apps quickly.

Nachteile:

Price-point, and bugs. Knowing the number of variables AppSheet has to account for in any app, there are still certain kinks that need to be worked out. Also, AppSheet is free, unless you really want to utilize all of its features. Unfortunately, once you start getting into apps that require multiple users, or creating workflows, then you start paying per user, or a tier based price structure per app. With competition quickly rising, their prices are easily beat by competitors like PowerApps.

The Greatest Tool for Solving Niche Business Data Problems

Kommentare: I LOVE APPSHEET. It has become an essential part of my business toolkit. It's easy to start but learning to build apps that can do lots of complicated things does take time (at least for now). The community is great and if you're willing to stick with the process of learning how the tool works, you'll be richly rewarded. If you're someone that is comfortable using formula tools in spreadsheets, you'll do fine with Appsheet but I think anyone can learn to build killer apps using this tool.

Vorteile:

I have found Appsheet to be one of the best tools for solving the annoying gaps that exist in most off the shelf business software for small businesses. After working at the same company for 22 years and being disappointed by the limitations of most 'off the shelf' business software programs, I started using app sheet as a way to supplement those tools, while still relying heavily on spreadsheets. During my tenure there, the [sensitive content hidden] would push back on my request to build more complicated apps to automate and structure all the spreadsheet tools we were using. Then, when I left and they were faced with trying to manage my cobbled together system, they asked if I could help and I was able to say that the best bet was not for me to train people how to use that system but rather really invest in building more robust application based tools. 6 months into the journey and the list of possible apps keeps growing. Here are the biggest pro's as I see it:Easy to get started, especially if you're already using Google SheetsGreat community with lots of support when you have a problemVery powerful capabilities, once you figure out how to use it. Pace of upgrades and improvements seems to have picked up since Google purchased it. Data tables can all be google sheets stored in the companies google drive. This was a big selling point when I was trying to convince my former employer to invest in bigger apps because the data would always be theirs and always be accessible.

Nachteile:

1. The process of turning all the cool data into printed or .pdf reports is relatively difficult when compared to every other aspect of using the tool. 2. You'll get addicted to building apps and start saying "I could build an app for that" in almost any business conversation you have. (and in personal ones too!)

Very simplistic and limited app design tool

Kommentare: I was desappointed by AppSheet and I would recommend Mincrosoft Power Apps instead anytime.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to setup and it is very easy to create a small web app.

Nachteile:

There is almost no personalization options available on this tool. There is no way to create a minimum of complexity in the app.

Solid tool for no-code/low-code development

Vorteile:

AppSheet is an excellent tool for product managers seeking to create custom applications without coding. Its intuitive, no-code platform enables users to build and deploy apps quickly, enhancing productivity and enabling rapid prototyping. The integration with various data sources such as Google Sheets, Excel, and SQL databases is powerful.

Nachteile:

AppSheet's no-code approach may come with limitations for more complex app requirements, where the lack of advanced customization and coding options might be restrictive.

Best no-code application builder for Google Workspace customers

Vorteile:

It is mostly simple to use and get set up. It integrates well with Google Workspace.

Nachteile:

There isn't a great data storage solution. The built-in AppSheet spreadsheet editor has many limits on how many tables you can have. Using sheets also gives you other limitlimitationsaitons related to table linking.

Useful platform to build simple no-code apps

Kommentare: AppSheet is a great tool to quickly create and share apps by simply linking them to a Google Sheet and creating user-friendly GUIs.
Other integrations with the most important platforms on the market are available as well.

Vorteile:

Great integrations with Google Sheets, allowing to build simple web apps without coding a single line.

Nachteile:

If you don't get a paid plan, you may find limitations that can be bothersome.

Would like to have more debugging tools to help correct programming. would be helpful to have partial results on expressions, (eg.) if(Lookup(Useremail(),"Colaboradores","Email","Role")="SuperAdmin",Select(Folha de Caixa[Caixa_Key],[Colaborador_Key]=[Email],True), Select(Folha de Caixa[Caixa_Key],[Colaborador_Key]=[_THISROW].[Email],True) )On this expression it would be amazing if we could "on mouse over" see partial results from the expression to help debug.

Nachteile:

Nothing really important comes to mind, all i need is more tutorials from Youtube :)

Great Tool to create small apps

Kommentare: I have created about 6 applications with Appsheet. As i kept on developing more apps, the time taken started going down drastically. Since my projects focus more on quick creation over more efficiency, appsheet suits my needs perfectly. as long as i am not creating a complex application, there are no issues with this app.

Vorteile:

1. The App runs on any type of database at the backend. It is compatible with SQLs from different cloud platforms and even google sheets. 2. Due to the template support, after a little experience with the appsheet, you can easily create an app under 6 hours. 3. Since this is a mulit-platform tool, it works as both Website and an Android app.

Nachteile:

1. The Application is a low-code platform with high level syntax. This makes the application slow to use. If the application complexity increases, the time it takes to finish certain task increases non-linearly. 2. appsheet provides limited customization. which means there is a chance you will run into problems that are just unsolvable with this program. 3. Since this is a web based application, This UI feels a bit less responsive.

It's a handy tool, though it isn't without flaws

Kommentare: I suggest the Appsheet even though I believe this is a really useful tool for implementing information that is critical to improving productivity. Any form of activity, whether technically or organizationally, can be managed by an enterprise.

Vorteile:

It's incredibly simple to make an app without any coding experience. Connections between smart spreadsheets and apps A strategy that is quite intuitive. You can play it for free before you release it, giving you plenty of time to prepare. Add new features on a regular basis. In my opinion, the method by which developers design and showcase apps is what makes them so appealing. The software, as well as the templates and forums, are all extremely self-contained. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what's going on. For apps working in a variety of ways, all the necessary app modules are provided.

Nachteile:

The synchronization point appears to be an issue, and the identification of calculations and their operations, particularly those that differ from Google Sheets formulas, could need a little more detail. It would be wonderful to have a simple way to manage the play ground environment.

A platform that takes the tedium out of building mobile apps

Kommentare: Launching the app and aligning it to end-user demands and expectations has not been a challenge at all. Since it is a dev+hosting platform, things are very much under my control. Helpful features like cloning an entire app make discovery and troubleshooting painless. More importantly, you pay only for the actual number of users!

Vorteile:

For non-techies, with some basic understanding of application software and their usecases and essential database awareness, Appsheet lets you offer practical solutions very quickly and cost-effectively. I have not seen any other platform that makes it so dumbed down.

Nachteile:

There are limitations that are quite possible for a platform that is still evolving. But, nothing so much that will force you to look for alternatives.

Appsheet is very easy to use

Kommentare: I work in a K12 education context, used to be a teacher for 40+ years. While I am nearing my pension, I have had an enormous amount of fun building this app.

Vorteile:

The ease of use. No coding required. You can gradually build your app and learn while doing this. I found there was a gradual learning curve that met my needs and my capability.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, it takes a long to synchronize. The way to correct mistakes that you make is not always obvious and you will need help. But on the other hand, the community is large enough and very helpful, so you will never have these problems for a longer period.

Skype for instant communication

Vorteile:

We can work simultaneously in one screen , small window of Skype open to communicate and other windows open to read or collect information. Can do instant messaging or video calls at cheaper rate than phone calls. It's user friendly and easy to access

Nachteile:

We can't save the communication at our desired location or folder like we can save the emails.

Great Business Solutions

Kommentare: We created a CRM and an Oboarding application to help us with our business needs until our company grew too large and required enterprise software.

Vorteile:

Really Versitile and can automate and handle many business needs.

Nachteile:

Not much training videos or guides avaliable. Outdated training materials online.

The mobile app DIY platform I returned to.

Kommentare: When I was first looking for a mobile app development platform, I wanted something simple to use but powerful enough to allow me to completely customize the app to the vision I had in my head. When I first started using AppSheet it was only 7 months after they went live; at that point it was still in it's early stages and experiencing many growing pains. I found myself running into the limitations of the platform at that time and was frustrated enough I began looking around for another solution. After playing around for a few weeks, I found myself constantly going back to AppSheet and playing around more and more. I'd find a limitation on another platform that didn't exist in AppSheet, I'd get frustrated that I'd have to learn a TON of stuff for one platform and return to AppSheet again because of it's ease of use. So after weeks of looking around I realized that AppSheet was the platform I was looking for and I just had to find ways to accomplish the goals I had. Fast forward 10 months and you wouldn't believe the platform was the same. The AppSheet team publishes so many updates (almost daily) that it's hard to keep up! And their support is better than any I've seen. They've got an online community where you can actually get answers from the developers themselves. Got an issue, one of the programmers will take a look at your app and tell you what's wrong. Confused about how to get something to work, the community is filled with users who're very knowledgeable about the platform and are always willing to help a fellow user out. In the 9 months that I've been using AppSheet I've seen multiple ideas I've suggested become a reality; that's how important their user feedback is to them.... it drives the future of the platform. AppSheet is the best of both worlds; it's simple enough that anyone can make a simple app in minutes with NO coding involved, yet complex enough that you can build an entire business management system from end to end on the platform. If you're looking for a mobile app DIY platform to create a solution for a problem you have... AppSheet really is the one to choose.

Make apps easily with Google Sheets

Kommentare: Really liked it, but was a little turned off by the price. I used it to inventory devices and as a staff directory (briefly) for our business.

Vorteile:

Ease of creating a functional application using Google sheets as the back end database. I like that they have template applications that you can import and then customize which saves you time. Apps look great on mobile phone. Wide variety of applications and uses.

Nachteile:

It gets quite pricey when you add more users to your app than just yourself. I'd use it a lot more if they expanded the amount of unique visitors to the app.

Would be great for small tracking projects

Kommentare: I was trying to find a quicker way to inventory equipment to avoid having to manually count out hundreds of units at the end of every month to reconcile inventory. Trying to get my team on board with trying a new software that wouldn’t mesh with our long-existing inventory system didn’t work out.

Vorteile:

I was up and running in no time! I was looking for a way to track equipment by scanning barcodes on my phone, and AppSheet was super quick to set up!

Nachteile:

After the initial set up, converting the massive amounts of example data to a usable format for my project would have taken more time than it was worth for the scale of my project. For a small but long-term project or small business, it could very well be worth it!

Easily Develop Apps For Your Business

Kommentare: Overall it's a great application which saved our company thousands of dollars and a great amount of time allowing us to develop an app to track the data we needed in a simple way which everyone can have access to

Vorteile:

You can create your own applications for your business with less resources, both time and money. It allows you to build your own applications using your business' data and with not too complicated programming. Application design is limited and quite simple but the relatively short amount of time it takes to build an app using AppSheet makes it worth it.

Nachteile:

As mentioned before, the limited customization options. Also, applications can run slowly if the user is using a not so powerful device.

Great for our Business

Kommentare: Makes our Eq pickups very easy help full to the techs out in the field

Vorteile:

App Sheet makes our Equipment pickups very easy. The Camera function makes it easy to scan our Bar codes and is a very quick and solid software.

Nachteile:

There is nothing like we don't like very easy to use and very efficient

Excellent app for people who are not programmers

Kommentare: We have other applications that are built by programmers and this is an easier application to adjust and improve upon quickly.

Vorteile:

This is a great way to develop applications that work for your specific need. There are many options of functions that can be performed in this application, and there is a low cost to rolling the apps out. They are constantly updating the features of the application making it more user friendly. It is really great that it works of a database in google, which gives it a very stable platform and is easy to switch between users in the app and administrators who may need to cull the data.

Nachteile:

If you are not in the programming world some of the functions are a little more complicated to use, and take some trial and error.

If you want to develop mobile app even without knowledge on how to do it, AppSheet is the perfect software you can rely on. This mobile development software makes you feel that you are an expert software developer because when your data was set-up properly, instantly your own customized and preferred app will be perfectly launched and published. I always use this app whenever I want my school records and data in a form of spreadsheets to easily share with my students and colleagues.

Nachteile:

As an end-user, I can't figure out what I don't like about this software. For me, this makes mobile app development enjoyable in an easy way!
