SS-CMMS was implemented around 6 months into my role and I have been using it for the best part of a year now.
It has helped my department no end in regards to TPM management and fault logging.
Vorteile:
The software makes it easy for my guys to both open and close works orders which in turn gives the management team a clear, live understanding of what is happening on the shop floor.
Nachteile:
There are still some issues with the mobile app (whitescreen) but the website version works flawlessly.
SS-CMMS More than meets the eye
Kommentare: I was tasked by my company to improve our services department since the industry is becoming more keen on outsourcing maintenance of their equipment, I had the idea to implement the use of a Maintenance Management Software so I search the WEB for something that generally meets the requirements of a company transitioning from manual tracking to a computerized system and guess what I came across SS-CMMS at first I was reluctant why because it literally met the general requirements I've set Simple,Web Based and of course the "COST" to acquire, now during the trial I made activity ,dispatch simulations that I will need to interface the system with our business which is primarily Repair and Maintenance of clients equipment's and the result is simple SS-CMMS is a system that gives you everything you "NEED" to manage R & M it does not give you the "WANT" now considering we wanted to improve our service infrastructure at the least possible cost then this was the system we needed, the main thing to keep in mind is when I presented the system to the management and our clients was we were there to provide their "NEEDS" not their "WANTS" and explained if they "WANT" more than what they "NEED" the maintenance cost would go up because of some features that is rarely gonna be used and just because they "WANT" it , so that's it use the system as it is and what it was meant to do just keep in mind the value for your money and last but not the least I understand that this is on it's Start Up stage but I wanted the say thanks to Rob for developing this management system and continue improving so that the day will come when it would be the most preferred system in the market.
Vorteile:
It's simplicity which addresses the basic needs of maintaining equipment's and since it's Web based the idea of getting the needed information on the repairs made and the needed parts in real time is one of it's best features.
Nachteile:
Basically some upgrades would be considered to make it a complete system
Best bang for the buck
Kommentare: When ever I have an issue with malfunctioning aspect in the software, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is "Johnny on the Spot" to fix the problem. This doesn't happen often, usually only related to major updates and as far as I'm concerned it is not untypical to have problems with software updates. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] always responds quickly to resolve any problem.
Vorteile:
This software is inexpensive. My company doesn't have deep pockets. If it were not for the price of SS-CMMS, I would likely have to use a legal pad and sticky notes. I was able to get this software working functional for my operation with a little bit of testing in the trial version. I modified some tables in a way that would help me organize data for service reports. I use this application throughout the day both on desktop and mobile app. My operation is not too complex, thus this software suits me just fine.
Nachteile:
Would prefer to be able to build my own table definitions for type of maintenance issue, but the canned descriptions are enough to get by. Would prefer a little more robust report writer to link indexes of both open and complete task within a date range, but I get by with running two reports and joining them in Excel.

Kommentare: We have been scratching the surface on SS-CMMS capability, I believe we will be getting more complicated as our business grows.
Vorteile:
We had this software in place when I started here in 2014, a couple of years later we evaluated if we should look into a more sophisticated system, after review concluded we can do everything with SS-CMMS that a more expensive system would cost and did not need to change anything. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is very responsive to any requests for functionality I have requested and great to deal with.
Nachteile:
Like anything getting used to something new takes a little time, did not take long though as this system is very intuitive.

So far SS-CMMS is compatible.
This software is used daily within our Maintenance team.
We can track dates when last equipment was maintained and load extra Equipment assets at any given time.
The system is also Android Friendly for Quick viewing with your handset.
Vorteile:
Daily creating Job working Orders. Great system for Preventative Maintenance system within the Organization.
Nachteile:
The Numbering sequences of each Job Order. When printing Job Orders you need to print one by one instead of having the option to print all Work Orders.

this software has helped me with getting preventative maintenance working well in our company as well as helping to develop metrics to measure how we are doing.

EASE AND SUPPORT
Kommentare: We run care homes for people with disabilities, the maintenance is ultra important and we need a great tool to help with maintenance and support SS-CMMS is it.

Fantastic work order system

SS-CMMS is so easy to use! I rolled this out in a production facility with three shifts, and all three shifts started using this system immediately, even before i "trained" them all.
Nachteile:
I really cant think of anything about this software that i don not like! It's is great!
Simple and effective

Very easy to use. Like all software it takes time to get everything set up, adding all of your machines, parts, pm schedueles, etc but it is pretty straight forward and logical.
Nachteile:
The android app is new and Great. The button spacing can be a little off sometimes which doesn't affect anything other than visual appeal
Good CMMS for the value

Outstanding and easy to us. Works great for small facilities that need something to track parts and repairs.
Nachteile:
It is limited, but expected for the value. Just a couple of things that could be added that would make it even better. Would be very useful if I could record equipment breakdowns severalty.
very pleased with this product
Kommentare: we were using a high tech method of Paper lists and E-Mails to track work. now we can pull up past records, update costing and parts availability, add notes and receive E-Mails that new work is posted. This greatly reduced confusion and cycle time on repairs

SS-CMMS really meets our needs. it had work order generation and tracking, parts, scheduled maintenance and budgeting. cloud based so we don't have to load software continuously. we use it to track work and update status for projects. very easy to pull reports for metrics and weekly updates.
Nachteile:
the only downside to the software is really due to my situation. I was leading Facilities team and loved this software and then moved into a newly created position to lead Equipment maintenance. I cannot use this software as my Equipment platform as it uses Company E-Mail address and will merge the files. we would prefer to have it useable by multiple departments without overlap. hopefully a future mod.

Great Value for small businesses
Kommentare: I now have a way of managing tasks for my team and tracking equipment/asset maintenance. The reports allow me to get the information I need. Team productivity and response times have increased and theer is more accountability from staff.
Vorteile:
Simple to use and its very affordable. Email to work order feature.
Nachteile:
mobile app not user friendly. Runs a bit slow - pages take a while to load.
Excellent System/Great value/Great Tool
Kommentare: I hunted and tried a few different products before finding SS-CMMS. None compared to what is offered for the money. Also nothing I found was as easy to operate as well. I have used SS-CMMS at two different employers now one as a facility director and now as a project manager. I recommend this online tool. It is easy to train others to use as well which makes it a plus allowing others to help load data and manage day to day work flow. Summary, great product highly recommend.

Would like it to go back to to previous screen after giving a create or delete command. Would like to be able to control what shows on reports, like, I don't want the priority to show on my completed job report. Would like to be able to put the completion date in if was done on a previous day.
Unsung hero of cmms software!

We were struggling at our metal fabricating plant because we were 20 years behind in terms of our maintenance department. No PM program, no ability to track breakdowns, and no accountability.
I looked into getting a cmms implemented but as soon as upper management saw the price of these programs it was shot down. Then I learned of Rob's SS-CMMS and of the free demo I had no choice but to try it. It has been extremely helpful.
Vorteile:
This system is pretty straight forward. Very easy to learn and implement.
Nachteile:
I wish the dash was more configurable. Each Tech could filter just the work orders that are assigned to them. I would also like to be able to see the status of the work orders at a glance without having to open each one. i.e. waiting on material, hold, complete, pending.

Hi Tony, Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm glad you find SS-CMMS helpful. As for the Dashboard, we are collecting ideas now to make it better and more functional. Your ideas are great! As for creating new WO's and adding equipment, you can do this. There is a link on the create WO page to add equipment. Click this and a new window will open to add equipment. When finished, you merely need to go back to the previous create WO window and do a refresh. Rob
Finally a facilities program that actually works
Kommentare: It helped us to go fully digital on our maintenance and service request system. No more paperwork. We have the option to store completed requests for future reference and to track reoccurring issues.
Vorteile:
The setup and daily use is very intuitive. You don't need to be an uber-geek to use this. It has a large variety of options to choose from. This makes it customizable.
Nachteile:
The PM setup can take a while to get used to. Some of the drop down options have too many choices. It's like having too much of a good thing.
Easy work orders
Kommentare: I started using SS-CMMS for basic work order requests but expanded into using it for inventories and project tracking. I like that my staff can get in one place to make requests and hear back from each other about how their request is being handled.

It's got more features than I currently use, but I can grow into them

Kommentare: We have been using SS-CMMS for 2 years now and love the program. We needed something that would help us prioritize and track maintenance issues and more importantly be proactive. Reporting, data input, creating tasks are all easy to use. Learning curve was easy for everyone. Great program overall. Great value!

Kommentare: We have been using SS-CMMS since it was a free app. It has only gotten better over time. The biggest advantage it has over other CMMS is the learning curve is very low, you can be up and running with in an hour or less.

First experience with a CMMS has been a positive one.
Kommentare: When I began to use SS-CMMS I was new to maintenance management. No matter how many reminder notes I made some tasks would be forgotten. The Dashboard is the perfect heads-up display of outstanding work orders. Some records are more important than others and SS-CMMS allows me to use as much or as little detail as I want in completing a work order. Reports are easy to generate and flexible in their configuration. Between the phones, radio and catching me in the halls my departments are happy they have one more way to get in touch with me. --Thanks for the great product at a great price--
Awesome organizational software
Kommentare: This has revolutionized the building department of our church. We can now track inventory and maintenance tickets from one program. Our people can enter repair tickets instead of calling us or hunting us down as we work. This has been an absolute godsend for us (pun intended).

Kommentare: I have worked with MP2 and SAP Global for maintenance tracking at different place and needed a Maintenance Tracking Software for my first job as a supervisor, SS-CMMS seems to fit perfectly! If corporate issues an edict to use a centralized software then I haven't invested a small fortune on something we can't use. No putting up internal servers or IT support! Simple web interface to make it easy to use and unlimited users! SS-CMMS is not perfect, there are some limitations to it and not without it's draw backs but considering the price and what it does do I have already found some techniques that I use for a work around and it is hard to justify not recommending this to almost any small business or for a firs time setting up a CMMS system!

Kommentare: Maintenance tracking is an issue with our ERP system. SS-CMMS solves that by creating work orders and tracking where our maintenance budget losses are.
