Great customer support on the backend after the initial sale.
So whenever I need to send an invoice, I have to change the system settings then change them back. I often will forget to change it back then I get calls from customers.

Much better than Serve Suite Pest Pack and all the other old software companies

I have use pestpac then switched to serve suite and then to PestMate for 2 years (which I liked PestMate) but Pest Routes has been by far the best, navigation speed is much better than PestMate, Routing system is the best I've seen, Easy to train employees on and the reports are clean and one of my favorite parts is you can really run any data point from the customer section. If I want to know how many active accounts are ontime services I can generate a report giving what ever data I want; address, phone number, there last service, anything. Lets say I want to know how many of those customers have a card on file or were sold via Yelp so I can know if a source I'm paying to get customers from is bringing me a lot of onetime services I can know all that. Pricing is great too.
Nachteile:
I wish it integrated my communication systems like emails and phone system. I've been told for a 6 months now the phone integration is coming but no word yet.

Kommentare: It got the job done - probably the best on the market in terms of features and scalability for the price; but not without its issues. They also love to find ways to stick it to you: $.04 per text message sent and received and they MAKE you use their payment processor. It's not terribly priced but they're not giving you any deals or anything.
Vorteile:
It's easy to get started and implemented off the bat. It also has virtually all the features you will need for a young to mid-size business. Some advanced features also exist (e.g., multi-unit tracking) which is great.
Nachteile:
So many bugs in the software lately Pushing out lots of product updates that don't really work They don't tell you when they release new features There are really basic things (such as creating bundle packages) that are impossible to do so you have to get creative to make work-arounds. Poor / terrible sales & marketing related features

NO SUPPORT!!
Kommentare: The set was easy. The training that we were given was ok. The trainer only gave us training on the office desktop software. She was not trained to give us real world training on the mobile app. We were given no training WDO reports. No training on reporting to state and counties. The product looks good and it has all the features you could want. But not having the proper training for them makes it all useless. Not being able to get a response from the support team creates a "you are on your own situation." Currently this is creating a situation that if not just us, but anyone is not able to properly report to the governing agencies who is going to held accountable? The state and county offices are not going to go after Fieldroutes. We are the ones at risk.

NO SUPPORT!! Left (and this the truth) 57 voice message when we were not able service a huge account with over 70 devices. Was not able to get answer for three days.

Kommentare: The software is NOT good for a pest control company that offers multiple service types. The only situation I can see this software working for is a mosquito-only company because it offers one type of service on one schedule. We offer multiple pest service types on multiple service schedules and have used their "work around" of doing services as "line items" on the invoice of another service, but it still doesn't work well. Clients get multiple confirmations, followups, invoices, etc for each service day they have multiple services line up (Ex. monthly mosquito and quarterly pest service and annual fire ant/termite). I really have tried to make this software work-- it was supposed to be an improvement to doing everything manually and allow our company the ability to grow. It has only been a headache. 6 months later we still cannot use the software and after reading the reviews here (how I wish I had found these non-sponsored user reviews sooner!!) I am going to forfeit the rest of the year subscription and get set up with GorillaDesk. The saddest part is when I ask other companies in my network who have used or are trying to use FieldRoutes/PestRoutes they tell me they have/had the same, overwhelmingly negative experience. I tried so hard to remain optimistic as this was supposed to be a positive change for our company and allow us the opportunity to grow. I cannot remain blindly optimistic any longer and would never recommend to a friend.

Everything else. Terrible onboarding process and the salesman lied to me about multiple things the software could and would do or what their onboarding team would do to get us going.

It is easy to use. The ability to make changes to schedules that are seen by the technicians instantly has really saved the company time. The billing functions and features has helped us to reduce the use of paper, and speed up the monthly billing process.

I would like to see greater reporting capability on the custom side. There are some communication features that are so general we are unable to use them.

Complicated and Faulty
Kommentare: Very frustrating. Luckly our direct customer service contact is a genius! Calling in to their normal customer service line is always a waste of time and I find I generally know more about their software than they do. Automatic doesn't exist for ServSuite, if you want something "automatic" to happen in this software, someone has to push a button.
Vorteile:
It keeps track of our customers and their program and payment information. ServSuite Mobile is easier to complete services on than doing it via paper. It stores which chemicals were used and can print them on the work orders that get sent to customers (very handy when we get audited by the state).
Nachteile:
Where to start... Everything about ServSuite is buggy. For instance, if you don't put the address in perfectly, it won't show up in any searches. If you don't click the right buttons in just the right order, you won't get the results you're looking for (or the same results you got the time before). We are constantly sending in issues to our direct customer service contact and they have to look into them and fix them on the back end or send them in for programming to be resolved. Their marketing module doesn't work. Their forms (templates for emails, letters, etc.) are so complicated, clunky, and archaic that we don't even want to use them. Everything is so intertwined with everything else that if they do an update to fix something, it kicks something else out of functionality. We get by, but "Well, it's ServSuite..." is the constant joke in the office when we don't have an explanation for something random that happened. We shouldn't have to find alternate ways to get around something that we pay for in order to run our business, but that's become a daily task for us.

Should I buy FieldRoutes?

It has been good, bad, and even ugly at times. The help desk is usually anything but helpful. I do have a contact who is very approachable and generous with his time which is greatly appreciated. But there aren't tpoo many of him to go around....
If I had one suggestion to FieldRoutes, it would be to get involved from jump with the set-up and implematation of the softeware. Many of us don't know trh w questions toi ask until it is too late! I would encurage buyers to have someone dedicatd to the set-up and implematation. Hours invested up front (by Field Routes and end users) will pay dividends in the form of an overall better user experience, less frustration, and hours --even days--trying to solve seemingly unsolvable problems.
If I had it to do over, would I? Given what was on the market then and what I know now, a definite maybe. I would have asked more questions and pushed harder for real answers (less 'sales-speak').

The single biggest factor driving our decision to go with then PestRoutes, was that it wasn't the "other" software.
Nachteile:
Data migration was a nightmare.... The diffculty in creating custom service service agreements and implematation thereof, the route optimazation software provides far from optimal routing, and zero explanation of the "Distance Score" so that we can actually use this tool to aid in routing and dispatch. Also, I have a tremandous anmount of difficult extracting data. The "shiny dashboard" and the flood of reporting capabilities that were shown as part of the sales procewss were impressive, to say the least. What is there is much easier to use than the competitor I left. I am frustrated that when I want certain data, the answer is "sorry, can't do that". The initial purchasing process was less than "transparent" and I wasn't educated enough to ask certain questions that would have guided my buying decison.

Long time user First time caller....
Kommentare: Overall I love field routes and have talked up the company for the last 8 years as a tech, a service manager, a branch manager, and call center support manager. I have learned to work around the challenges FR can throw your way. I have become a expert and a valued source for running custom reports. The low level support staff is amazing I've only had 2 questionable experiences in 8 years with them. They are quick to respond to your initial question and have a fair amount of tools at their disposal. Tech routes is a great app and has become a powerful tool for techs allowing them diagram stops and what/where the issues are present. Sales routes does a good job at keeping salesmen from knocking existing customers saving time wasted hitting existing customers.
Vorteile:
Scheduling optimization, Raw power in reporting and finding whatever it is you need from a reporting perspective. Most low level support agents are amazing to deal with.
Nachteile:
Mapping out stops there is no true distance score and the miles shown are as the crow files causing huge issues with proper routing without having an extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas. its to easy to run the wrong report due to the advanced and complex reporting system (I do love the power but my owners, managers, and agents can all run what they think is the same report and return different information. ) Integration with vendors is difficult at best. there is little support or care with large projects that don't benefit FR directly. updates are sudden, with no information, and after the updates made you don't find anything out about it for days or longer if you don't touch the system daily.

Great for pest, not so good for termite
Kommentare: Frustrating to set up. Difficult to understand the email templates. There should be a better editor. Same with the pest agreements. You almost have to know HTML which limits the average person's ability to customize the contracts. The credit card processing fees are very high, especially on top of the monthly cost of the platform. We had to hire a consultant, Pest SOS to help us dial it in quickly and train my CSR's. The initial training was too fast, and therefore my team did not retain it.
Vorteile:
The ability to grow to thousands of pest customers, and handle the billing, routing and follow up without having to add CSR's.
Nachteile:
We are a termite-heavy company with most revenue coming from termite work, fumigation, repair, etc. We pay extra to use the WDO reports for California. The report writing function for the WDO reports is terrible. The diagramming tool is nearly unusable. We have to create the diagrams in MS Paint. The WOrk authorizations that are automatically generated are uneditable, and cannot collect electronic signatures (like the pest control agreements) and as the owner, I cannot get reports for outstanding (unapproved) work authorizations. It's so bad that we are considering using another platform for termite. I do not feel that the extra money we pay is worth it for the CA version. In hindsight, I would have gone with another platform such as Bug Base instead. It doesn't have the reporting power, but does way more for termite-centric companies in CA.

Ideal software albeit pricey and lacks certain things
Kommentare: I think my overall experience is very good. Not perfect. Customer service for me has been fantastic, some features are lacking, proce is. A bit high but the ease of use and functionality makes those things easier to deal with.
Vorteile:
I like how integrated everything is and how I can have everything under one company. My CRM, SEO and Marketing adverts are all done by you guys. I do find it to be a bit pricey though. I also enjoy all the landing page stats, it feels real professional.
Nachteile:
Pricing is a bit much for my small company. I don't like that we can't make the comments for customers bigger so it's easier to read. I also don't like that we can't book jobs on the app as well as techs can't print their own route summary from the app as well.

versatility
Kommentare: I am very happy with it, I started using this program many years ago, early 2000, so about 20 years watching it grow and become a very competitive service.
Vorteile:
very versatile, the learning curve is a bit tough but once you understand how it works it can be a real quality time and money saver. Reports are detailed and help with many aspects of management. scheduling is probably the best component. customer portal and card payments are seamless.
Nachteile:
the mobile application and stability, we have had issues in the field with tablets and the software. support has been good on resolution
User Friendly Interface with Great Customer Service
Kommentare: Overall my experience with ServSuite has been great and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the pest control industry.
Vorteile:
I've been using ServSuite for a little more than 2 years and it was my first experience with software designed specifically for pest control services. Because of the user friendly interface, I was able to learn how to navigate the system fairly quickly and what I couldn't find, customer service was right there to assist whether it was via email or phone. Whether I'm using the system to process the daily work, help a customer with a payment, or running reports for our company owner, ServSuite is a fast, secure, easy to use software for our business and I highly recommend it.
Nachteile:
There are few cons to ServSuite, however, concerning the part of the program for drawing graphs on the wood infestation reports- it's limited in what it can do and I would rather use the Microsoft paint program and paste from there to the report. I also might would suggest a different formatting for the account private notes that includes "word wrap" so that if something is copied and pasted, it is all aligned correctly.
Pest Routes review after using it for a year
Kommentare: We started using the software just about a year ago, in December of 2015. A rep came and showed us the basics, answering many questions with the utmost of patience. After the rep left, we had to call into the Pest Routes Customer Service department, many times. The customer service agent and her team of customer service representatives always helped us out, with a smile, despite the repeated questions. If the agent, or her team, couldn't give us an instant answer, they would create a ticket and get back to us. I would recommend this software to anyone running a pest control office. It has so many utilities included in the software, such as various reports detailing types of customers (those who pay with checks/credit cards/cash and how much and often they pay). It also has the ability for customers to leave feedback on the technician (which is also detailed in another report). It's easy for customers to be contacted for any voicemail the office can create beforehand as well as emailing/leaving voice-mails for the customers regarding their next service including time frames. I can go on and on, but I'm sure it's all in their marketing material. Great product with a great customer service/development team!
Vorteile:
The best feature of PestRoutes is the method of notifying customers of their next service. We have the option of SMS (texting), emailing and calling (all optional, at the customer's request).
Nachteile:
I don't like the Paid In Full report, not very functional for those with multiple subscriptions.

Kommentare: Outstanding customer support especially to new users as myself. Patience is one of the key factors in talking to support that I have noticed. Response is prompt and they are consistently keeping you in the loop when your problem cannot be solved right away. I would like to give a big thanks to CSR for all her help and support in addressing a newcomers concerns and lack of knowledge using this software. For someone who was not trained and thrown into this position as office manager, she was vital as well as, Team 1 in helping me navigate and work through my difficulties. Thanks ServSuite! We have been using ServiSuite for approximately 2 years. We are a small family owned pest control company with advanced growth each year. Since coming on board with ServSuite it has enhanced communication, scheduling, reporting and organization for our business and customers. Honestly, there are too many positive features to mention in what this company has to offer. If they do not have a feature that is one size fits all they will improvise and compromise to make the system work for you if possible.
Nachteile:
I cannot comment on what I like least about this software. I am not well versed enough to make such a comment. It has only helped our company.
Over all worth it
Kommentare: I believe over all the database is great. I think it is something that is great for the ease of use and the reports are easy to find. I do like that the scheduling is easy and you have several different ways to schedule.

I like that it is user friendly and simple with most of the actions that need to be performed.
Nachteile:
I do not like that it is difficult to remove a payment. Actually that you can not remove a payment if it is placed on the incorrected account by accident. The only way I know how to fix it is to just make the payment 0. I do not like that you can not get a list of customers for a technician. I would like to print out each techs customers with last date of service. I have called customer support and they have given me ways to do this but it always leaves out customers.

Kommentare: Utilizing the service categories to create different categories for types of services that you'd like to see individual totals for. For example, a subcontracted service for insulation is a One Shot, in pest control terms, but having the ability to separate this category from the rest of the One Shots is very useful in finding completed sub jobs quickly, and ensuring paperwork is submitted correctly and on time.
Vorteile:
This software is user friendly, and versatile.
Nachteile:
There is no ability to edit manual payment entries that are not run through the payment processors, for example, the payment date. There are some customers that submit ACH payments directly to our checking account, if this is not noticed the same day to enter in PestRoutes, you cannot back date the payment entry in PestRoutes to have both dates match.

There’s nothing that I like about this software.

Poor customer service, poor support, poor performance across the board, no mobile support, no ability to pull an accurate customer list.
