The team deploys regular updates based on the feedback they get. On top of that, it's just so easy to use, took me about an hour to set up and now I can't think of how I would operate without it.
And the automation email only sends it to the client, there's no way to have a reminder email sent to any other address. So if you have multiple clients then the automation only sends it to one.

Best Photography Studio Management Software
Kommentare: It helps me to easily keep track of all my projects, leads, invoices and emails. It's a game changer, saves me a lot of time and stress.
Vorteile:
I can create workflows that save me time , increasing my efficiency. Customer support is outstanding. They help you transfer all your current and future jobs at no additional cost to your subscription. Software is extremely user friendly.
Nachteile:
Well, I totally love this software. If I have to mention something... I would say it's not fully developed, which is not bad at all. They are constantly adding new features according the feedback user provide.
Looks good on surface, missing important key components

I researched and tested every Photography CRM I could find and also read all the Facebook group comments for each app and settled on Studio Ninja solely because 'at the time', the comments were positive and the support seemed to be responsive.
THEN - Studio Ninja (SN) was bought by ImageQuix! Ever since then, the support has come to a grinding halt in terms of SN addressing key issues and problems users were having. Support has promised many features but rarely gives any specific timeline as to when they will actually get a feature added or fixed. According to long-term users, some of the promises are over a year old with no action. Anmd any promises they have made are 6 months to a year out!
I addressed this directly with SN support and told them everything that has changed for the worse since they got bought out. All I got was a "Thank you for your concern, we'll forward your concerns to someone else". Never heard anything back. I went on the Facebook group and started to ask some hard questions and because their support told everyone that it is not easy to make the changes they are requesting, due to the complex relationships between the data, I took that to mean that either they don't have the expertise to do it in a timely manner, or their software is faulty in that it can't be upgraded easily. Other apps seem to be able to make upgrades quickly.
I speculated this on their FB group and my post was removed!
If you read the SN Facebook comments now, there has been a shift - users are constantly asking for the most basic of changes and are being told it is not that easy, but they'll "put it on the list of future upgrades".
It is very disappointing that SN (or is it ImageQuix?) has done such a poor job during this buy-out process.
I have been involved in many buy-outs of companies and in my experience, you only buy a company out to get their client list, or to get their technology, to keep a company from being a competitor, or to integrate one company with the other.
Both SN and InageQuix have described the buy-out as being a 'win-win' where ImageQuix will be able to offer 'more' to it's customers.
In the meantime, Studio Ninja seems to be struggling to keep their current customers and, they just sent out a Price Increase without improving much of anything. A lot of users did not appreciate that.

There are MANY basic key components that other CRM's have that Studio Ninja does not have.
Look elsewhere
Kommentare: We needed a simple CRM and payment system, and while we got the simple part, so many other issues came up that I wish I'd gone somewhere else. I now understand the value of choosing and learning a more complicated set up because ultimately it will be more flexible, and probably better service and support too. I very much regret paying for a whole year, though it does mean I have time now to move to another system.

It's seemingly easy to use, mostly because there aren't that many features to confuse first timers.
Nachteile:
It is, at best, an immature product. The roadmap on their Facebook User page is regularly updated, but most of those features are just catching up to other established systems. The core functionality has a veneer of polish but once you use it for a few months cracks appear. For one thing, it is slow. If you check off two or three items quickly in the workflow it takes a second for the server to catch up, and it unclicks itself. You have to wait to make sure it is clicked before you move onto the next step. Automations make no sense, you can have it automatically send an email at a particular time but only in steps of hours and days -- so if you want to have an automation to send an email after something is filled in the soonest is "1 hour after" the event, there's no option for immediately. And the automation email only sends it to the client, there's no way to have a reminder email sent to any other address! So if you have multiple clients then the automation only sends it to one. There are tons of other issues just like this, making the overall experience incredibly frustrating. This is made worse by the fact that one of the staff who is active on the Facebook User page is rude, defensive, and prefers to reply with accusations and snide comments rather than to listen to issues their users have. His solution to a few of the common issues is for the business to change its workflow, not for the software to accommodate. Join the group to see for yourself.
An absolutely essential part of my daily business workflow

Vorteile:
It's easy to set up, intuitive and clear. Functions are laid out in a simple manner, and once set up, using the system is quite painless and simple.
Nachteile:
I don't really feel much is missing; as soon as something is identified, the team is on it and updates that aspect of the platform. They're very responsive to community requests and suggestions.

Everything about it, from the quick customer service to the connection to Xero. The team is consistently improving it and taking suggestions from the Facebook forum, and are super quick to reply to all inquires. My clients love how easy it is to book and the fact that there is an easily accessible app to use on the go is awesome as well.
Nachteile:
Sometimes there are errors that I don’t know how to fix, but again.. I just have to contact the team and they walk me through it easily.
Best and only CRM for multilingual Studios and concerning GDPR/Europe!

Great dashboard with overviews, syncs with my Gmail calendar. Super organized and visual. Only Photographer CRM I know of that is multilingual!!! With a multilingual client portal! I serve 50/50 and it's the best software I found on the Market! Quotes, invoices, questionnaires all there. And you can make the Lead Capture Form be GDPR/DSGVO compliant! Yay Europe photographers
Nachteile:
I just would love the Lead capture form to have more text fields that translate to different note types in the backend Also I am missing push notifications in the app with new leads (but will be rolled out soon) and Instant Booking system (coming soon)
What a remarkable transformation of a business
Kommentare: It's made life easier and less stressful trying to juggle multiple weddings at once, it's made a massive improvement in the outward professionalism.
Vorteile:
SN is amazing so much easier to use than my previous system Zoho and just does everything you want it to do without complicated bells and whistles you never need. There's always a wonderfully helpful support team that are as equally happy to help with the obvious as they are the trickiest problem. Using the system is a joy and it simplifies the process of getting stuff done and the clients think you're superhuman being so proactive. The truth is you're basically personalising the system out of the box. It's just amazing from day one.
Nachteile:
None really, it's just simplicity straight from the first use.

Kommentare: We are very happy. It is easy to use and after taking advantage of the call with one of the Studio Ninja team members we are very satisfied that we can get answers to our questions. They are extremely knowledgable and will take the time to walk you through set up. The integration with email works great and we really enjoy the flexibility in creating workflows, questionnaires, and much more.

We just joined Studio Ninja about a month ago and we are thrilled to be using this software. The onboarding was exceptional and the customer service is amazing.

We hope that the software will gain Square as a payment company for ease of use for USA customers.

Its not GDPR compliant, by this I mean when you close your account your clients will still be able to access personal data and still be sent invoice reminders!

Manage invoices and payments
Kommentare: Studio Ninja helped me keep up with invoices and payments, and just keep up in general. I'm in and out so often that it's hard to find time to sit down and look over everything myself. The statistics helped me as well, it's such an empowering feeling to watch your business grow and have the knowledge to take it a step further.
Vorteile:
Studio Ninja has a lot of tools to help professional photographers run their business successfully. It helps manage payments and keep up with invoices. Add your logo or personalize invoices. Get contracts or agreements e-signed, accept credit card payments and transfer directly. Users can send payment reminders and automatic emails. It has a simple CRM that's easy to manage. Users can create a personalized schedule and workflow. Studio Ninja can be used from anywhere, not only in the studio.
Nachteile:
Some users may want more complexity instead of simplicity. I'm used to more detail. There's often lag time, and it can become unresponsive. I don't like having to close and start again. I was never able to use the questionnaires because of this. It's just not as fast as I need it to be.

Kommentare: I feel like it's a small start up with many teething problems, which I completely understand, however the security thing is a non negotiable for me. I had a person leave my company and now for the past 2 weeks they can still access everything due to the password not actually changing when it says it has. I feel like the communication is also fairly poor. Looking at changing CRM provides due to lack of communication and safety of my business.

Nachteile:
- password and security is not that safe. When changing password it says that its been changed and updated, however when logging out, it allows access with old password. - it doesn't allow one to make an invoice without a shoot date. This becomes an issue when people buy photoshoot vouchers as i need to send invoice however there will not be a shoot date yet
Poorly supported product. Has great potential but still under development
Kommentare: Studio Ninja has amazing potential if the support and development team listened to their users rather than just stick to their road map. their FB forum has dozens of posts daily with people asking for features and fixes to issues and all are fobbed off or "added to future development" rather than addressed. I have used other CRM's before and never been treated so poorly and ignored so much.

Pretty to look at and has some great potential as a CRM
Nachteile:
Very buggy software. The development team is focused on new development rather than fixing issues. Tolerated this for 9 months but finally decided I'd had enough. When I spoke out I was degraded by the support team and made to feel my opinion didn't matter at all.

I asked them where I could leave a review because they are so perfect that I needed to tell the world. Whoever is running this company is doing everything good and the team deserves 5 stars. My favorite feature is the workflows that I can create one time for each type of photography session or weddings a do and never have to worry again. My clients get communications from me very often and I don't even have to remember tasks because Studio Ninja does them for me automatically. Also their customer service is top notch. They always answer my questions right away.
Nachteile:
I love everything about it. No cons. And I have been in the business for 20 years.

Kommentare: I have been using StudioNinja for around 4 years and I've never looked back. I shoot 100+ weddings every year and because this software deals with many boring admin tasks for me it allows me the time to focus (excuse the pun) on shooting and editing. Every time I have had a question or request it has been sorted within minutes of making contact and I have never felt so valued as a user. Can't fault these guys or the software and the continual quest for improvement that they live by just gets me excited for the next update...
Vorteile:
So easy to use, my whole business runs smoothly and I know that things will not get forgotten to get sent out to clients once the workflows are all set up.
Nachteile:
Personally I think the reporting could be a little better and also it would be so nice to be able to contact multiple clients at once but to be honest there's way to many great points about the software and the StudioNinja team to really talk about cons!
Good in theory, not so great service
Kommentare: Poor experience overall, I like the app and the interface and it's simple and intuitive - but that doesn't make up for the poor service.
Vorteile:
Ease-of-use and a second-to-none app interface. SN wins hands down at this bit compared to other photo studio management software I've tried.
Nachteile:
Customer service is rock bottom. They promise data transfer from existing CRM but don't deliver after 2 months of promises and chasing. They then chase for payments after cancellation from bouncing email addresses, and generally need to sort the basics out. That along with the amount of down time of their server - where ALL you info is stored and inaccessible without - is the big negative.
Great at first, but missing some important features
Kommentare: Overall Studio Ninja was a great intro to a proper CRM system. It was relatively easy to set up, though I think their estimate that you can be up and going in an hour might be over-stating. Once I got more into the day to day practices and more importantly tax season I started to see some MAJOR functionality issues.
Vorteile:
Overall, fairly user friendly. Relatively easy to set up. I like that they have premade templates and form letters, so you can tweek them to match your brand without having to start from scratch. The client workflow is great and makes it so much easier to keep track of where my clients are in the process so I don't miss any steps. Client portal was nicely laid out, but not as customizable as I would have liked, as it automatically included a "bid or proposal" section, but I don't do bids.
Nachteile:
There are some major functionality issues I couldn't get past. While they offer invoicing, there are no sales reports. No way to distinguish between taxed and non-taxed sales. Which makes tax time difficult. Also, limited customization on client communications (mainly invoice formatted for Aus business practice, but I'm in the US)was a problem. Inability to update all active workflows at once has also proven to be a huge pain during the setup process. For example, if I realized the workflow would work better in a different order, I could update the template for future clients, but all current clients had to be updated one by one manually.
My Personal Assistant
Kommentare: My overall experience with Studio Ninja is that it took my business to a new level of professionalism. My clients get the service they expect from a professional business, while still having that personal feeling due to the email templates, contracts and reminders that were set up to be sent timorously.
Vorteile:
How on earth do I pin point one thing I love about this software. I call Studio Ninja my Personal Assistant to my clients. It does every thing a PA would do and then a whole lot more for less than I would pay someone to do it and saving me time and money.
Nachteile:
I wish it had its own gallery for clients and that I don't have to use a different company to integrate. I use Pic Time but would love to just use my PA for everything.

I've saved SO much time! My clients love the invoicing format and I now spend almost no time chasing unpaid invoices thanks to the automated emailing.
I recommend Studio Ninja to my photographer friends all the time and now they love it too.

I can't even count the hours this software has saved me! Workflow reminders, automated emails and, most importantly, automated invoice reminders. My stress levels are at much healthier levels thanks to Studio Ninja!
Nachteile:
If I have to find a con I guess it's that there aren't a lot of specialized features, but that is what keeps it simple. I've gotten lost using other more complex software previously so this is more a pro than a con for me.

I experienced a few bugs, but as soon as I mentioned them to the team, not only did they respond within a few minutes, the bugs were responded to and fixed by the time I woke up the next day. Awesome!

I thought id leave a review and share my experience, I actually don't run a photography business anymore and since have started a Photobooth Business, I was looking for a CRM for awhile and struggled to find something that did what I needed.
I found one CRM and it did nearly everything I needed and I was just about ready to settle with it when I thought id ask in a photography group and Studio Ninja was recommended to me buy a surplus of people.
Ive been using studio Ninja for only 1 week and I can not fathom how much time it has already saved me, I can use the phone app to send quotes and invoices while Im out, I can track my invoice payments, late payments, It send emails for to my clients automatically without me doing anything. You can custom set your work flow so its basically all Automated with next to no work.
Also super useful to track my leads so I know my strong points and my weak points on my marketing ect ect.
When I signed up, I got a free 1 hour Zoom call with a staff member that provided me heaps of value and helped me set up my account for free.
Cant recommend it enough honestly.

Ease of use, Very easy to set up custom workflows and have the program automatically send out emails to clients ect ect. Tracks leads in coming, Gives a great dashboard with all the features listed right there and a very easy to use graph.

APPRECIATION POST TO STUDIO NINJA! This is a godsend!! I am so glad we decided to go ahead with this subscription! Makes our booking systems so easy to see if we are already booked - and a great way to monitor each others appointments! We had expo today it was amazing to be able to tell clients instantly whether or not we were available as everything is just easily found! Now I have it, i'll never go without it! Any photographers looking to get on board - trust me you won't ever look back. It is worth every penny! Oh and customer service is unbelievable. Kommentare: Automation is the key to consistency and saving time, Studio Ninja does it easily and repeatably time after time. In addition to this the software is really well laid out and easy to use, when you need help there are a heap of easy to use resources AND their customer service people are EXCELLENT - you can actually talk to real people - who are happy to talk to you, and know what they're talking about!

Studio Ninja does everything I hate doing in my business. The templates provided for emails, invoicing, workflows, questionnaires and contracts PLUS the tracking of these functions is an absolute Godsend.
Nachteile:
There's nothing I don't like about it, it is well thought out, intuitive and what's more they're always adding and refining the software.

Kommentare: I love studio ninja, very easy to use. I’m a Wedding and sports photographer from New Jersey and this website helps me keep updated with all my clients and upcoming assignments. I've tried Tave and other softwares but Studio Ninja is by far the best I've come across.

Studio Ninja perfectly blends all my customer related needs into one amazing place. I can email, book jobs, take payments, send contracts, make questionnaires - the list goes on and the functionality only improves with time. I've been with Studio Ninja for 6 years and it has been a game changer and lifesaver.

Very little - basically nothing. Any small bugs were worked out ages ago, they're now working hard to deliver amazing new features.
