Vorteile:

The best thing about MSP360 Managed Backup, for me, was how user-friendly it was. I loved that I could easily set it up with different cloud storage services without any fuss. It made managing my backups a breeze - saved me loads of time and headaches. Plus, the interface was so straightforward that I didn't need to be a tech wizard to figure it out.

Nachteile:

The main drawback I found was that restorations could sometimes be sluggish, particularly when dealing with large amounts of data. It's worth noting that this isn't entirely MSP360's fault, since they don't actually store the data themselves - that's handled by whatever cloud storage provider you're using. Still, it'd be great if they could find a way to optimize the recovery process on their end. Maybe they could streamline how they interface with different cloud services or something. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but faster restore times would definitely be a welcome improvement.

We've tried the rest, MSP360 is the best!

Kommentare: Over the past 15 years I've used many backup products and have seen many come and go from the likes of BackupExec, Acronis, and Veeam just to name a few. None are as affordable and simple to use as MSP360 Managed Backup. Most importantly MSP360 Managed Backup gives us a dashboard to view all out customers backup jobs and status instead of having to log into each backup system individually or rely on the very unreliable email alert. We love MSP360 and they have become our go-to partner for our clients' backups.

Vorteile:

Very simple to setup, constantly adding new & valuable features, nice dashboard to show all backup clients with their status, and I get to choose the storage provider all at a very affordable price.

Nachteile:

not really a con but would like better documented management APIs so that I can add new backup clients programmatically instead of using the web management.

Vorteile:

You can pick you own cloud storage. That is all i got.

Nachteile:

Unreliable. I had it for a year and only got 5 successful restore. I had issue with the service ever other week. I reach out to management and vendor support number of time but nothing change.

They Got Your Back Up!

Kommentare: I've been with MSP360 for over 10 years. Our backup as a service offering wouldn't be possible without MSP360. The margins in this industry are razor thin and the competition is fierce. You need them on your team.

Vorteile:

Their platform is rock solid. So many new features, always new being added and their support is amazing.

Nachteile:

You do need to have some experience with cloud backup services and understanding of different OS platforms to maneuver the setup. Overall, once you get the hang of where everything is, it gets easier.

Act as a MSP easily!

Kommentare: I'm using it to delivery a reliable backup solution for some years and have no issues during that time.

Vorteile:

It's a low cost solution with all necessary tools to a Service Provider deliver to the clients the most important that is a complete backup solution.

Nachteile:

The way we register local backup storage locations.

I'd like to see an easier method of on-demand file restoring without a restore plan.

Kommentare: Very good, it works as intended and gives you and your clients peace of mind.

Vorteile:

Easy setup and running, you can have a server backup ready in less than 10 minutes.

Nachteile:

the UX/UI is not the most intuitive. too many options.

MSP360 Solution

Kommentare: My overall experience was positive. Reliability and ease of use stood out, although the initial setup was a bit complex. However, once set up, the system ran efficiently and smoothly.

Kommentare: Sometimes I can be a cheapskate. Sometimes being a cheapskate leads me to choose the wrong software. I made that mistake with MSP 360. I have it installed on many client devices and migrating to another software is going to cost me a lot of time. Someday I will find that time and I will be so glad to be off this platform.

Vorteile:

When I moved to MSP360 it was called Cloudberry Backup and it was not bad. They changed their name and pricing and made everything worse. So I guess the best thing about MSP360 is that it was not always as bad as it is now.

Nachteile:

The web interface is terrible. It is very difficult to figure out how to navigate the interface to find backup history, restore data, even managing licenses is difficult. The only thing worse than their web interface is the new backup wizard. There are too many ways to mess it up and no easy way to clone configurations accoss multiple devices much less sites.

Vorteile:

Hands down the best backup software for the value and features offered.

Nachteile:

Some features are only available if you choose certain S3 providers. Like the immutable write features for example. It isn't really a problem if you know ahead of time.

MSP360 Works at local and offsite backups

Kommentare: Good low cost backup solution.

Vorteile:

Easy to use backup software. YOu can do cloud only, local only or both which is the best option. You can pick your cloud backup service like Wasabi.

Nachteile:

I know it's a security thing but if you lose your encryption password your backups are gone. Keep those safe!

Kommentare: I have used it for several years and it has effectively backed up my systems. I was able to restore data with no problem. Great ransomware protection

Server backup is simple to use and setup. I have not had one backup fail yet.

Nachteile:

No file-level access to backups. I cannot view individual files from any backup done.

MSP360 Managed Backup Review

Kommentare: My over all experience with MSP360 has been good. When setting up MSP360 the account reps and support helped to ensure everything was being set up and working correctly.

Vorteile:

The full image back up and the incremental backup. I can choose how often a backup happens and what is backed up as well.

Nachteile:

MSP360 can be difficult to set up, if you are not carful you may have files on shared drives that do not back up as expected. There is a definite learning curve.

With MSP360, as a cloud-only MSSP, we can implement regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI DSS or ISO27001:2018 without much effort for our customers. The use of PowerShell for custom configurations facilitates deployment within VMs or CloudPC. Remote connectivity to Azure VM (Windows, Linux) Windows 365 CloudPC or Azure Virtual Machine is simply unbeatable in handling and usage.

Nachteile:

So far we could not find any "no-go". Any problems were always clarified or solved promptly with the Support team.

MSP360 the easiest and safest way to make computer backups

Kommentare: We needed to back up all the computers in the office, without the need to hire outside help, so we purchased this software which turned out to be very good, easy to use and extremely secure with all the backups it backs up. A very efficient software to keep your files backup safe. It is also very easy to use without the need to hire external companies to do the job. The best of all is that if there is any doubt or inconvenience, the technical service will always be ready to solve it.

Vorteile:

It has a great backup capacity, since we were able to make backup copies of each computer in the company and although it took a long time to do it, due to the amount of information, it did not present any kind of inconvenience. The email alerts are very efficient, because they warn us if there is any problem in any of the machines. The technical support provided good support in the steps where we did not know how to perform any action when running the software.

Nachteile:

I had some errors when installing the software and some backups, but the technical support was very efficient in helping us with that. The prices are cheap if you look month to month, but you have to pay a whole year in advance, which is a considerable expense for some companies, especially start-ups.

A reliable backup platform to work with

Ongoing small issues which don't seem to get resolved. e.g. date issue with email notifications, where backup date switches between US and EU format making it confusing for customers.

MSP360 is THE affordable backup for MSPs and small businesses
