Good product, best service and easy to use

Vorteile:

The structure is intuïtive, solid and runs smoothly which is very important for multicenter research. It helped me significantly in my work as project manager of an international multicenter RCT.

Nachteile:

There are still options for improvement, such as a reminder for participating researchers of a coming deadline for a study visit (but Castor may have added this feature since I last used it).

Great experience

Kommentare: I’ve been working with several EDC instruments and in Castor I’ve found an all in one tool with randomization, monitoring, high security level data storing, and a great flexibility to customize the eCRF.

Vorteile:

The flexibility to customize the EDC intrument.

Nachteile:

It is very expensive for independent researchers in middle income countries (I am from Argentina and after pandemic I couldn’t afford it).

Vorteile:

I can edit without making error and its accessible easily without vpn .

Nachteile:

didn't like it unfortunately since its not user friendly with a lot of repetition and similar texts.

Small retrospective projects used to be free of charge, but are not anymore.

I would improve a few things in pop-up messages

Kommentare: In general, very useful and recommendable.

Vorteile:

Castor EDC is very easy to use for filling out forms and sharing the data from those forms with different stakeholders.

Nachteile:

What I like least about Castor EDC is its pop-up messages asking for a 'reason for change according to GCP practices' whenever I change an answer. I would like to suggest the following improvements: #1 – More time to make changes or the ability to come back and modify them at any time while still filling out the form. #2 – The option to come back and add more answers to a multiple-choice question while still working on the form (this is not a change to an answer but merely an addition of data). #3 – If I complete a form and later modify the contents of more than one question, the messages should be specific to each change rather than general for the entire page, since the reasons for each change might be different.

Intuitive data collection, until the data export

Kommentare: Positive! I feel like every option that exists is there for a reason; so overall the programme feels very intuitive.

Vorteile:

Overall it's intuitive and if you have a technical question, you can e-mail and will get a quick response.

Nachteile:

Data export to SPSS: I never succeed and end up doing it in Excel and copying it to SPSS

Castor feedback

Kommentare: I use Castor on a daily basis. I have used multiple databases over the years and although not perfect, so far it is favourite.

Vorteile:

I like how Castors looks and how easy it is to navigate

Nachteile:

I don't like that tables are not recognised as being incomplete. Also, I use an Ipad to log in to castor most of the times and I am not sure that when I need to input numbers on multiple fields the keyboard doesn't stay in numbers and I have to constantly swap from letters to numbers.

Kommentare: It provide flexibility in using it. It allows changes in features that can be added to accomodate new needs when arises depends on the needs.

Vorteile:

User friend, easy to operate in clinical trial that i have used it so far.

Nachteile:

Have centrally controlled. It is challenging to provide narrations to some slots which are restricted. On the other hand it operate slowly in some of days.

Clinical Data Manager

Kommentare: I like Castor bacause is user friendly for me as Data manager and Site staff.

Vorteile:

Easy to use and Navigate. Add new variables.

Nachteile:

To find out a list of all Notification given to all staff. Sometime you have 10000 notifications and its not easy to find out by exporting to a list.

Great System

Kommentare: First time using Castor EDC and I found the system to be very friendly to capture all data entry.

Vorteile:

Easy to navigate, friendly data collection/update

Nachteile:

N/A, I don't have any dislike about the system

Castor For Data Entry.

Kommentare: It's a great app and easy to use. This is my first job in data entry and Castor has made it easy.

Vorteile:

I like how smooth it is to switch to different tabs while working on data collection.

Nachteile:

I don't like the way dates are input to the data collection part of Castor.

Great EDC system

Vorteile:

I find the CASTOR EDC very simple and easy to use. The updates that have been implemented haven't disrupted any data collection like some other systems do. The randomisation aspect is always quick and responsive, with no delay for the outcome. I find it to be an intuitive system.

Nachteile:

As mentioned, the randomisation aspect is quick, however since one of the updates the button has now moved to the left of the screen and it just says "not randomised". Until you select this option is may not be obvious that this is how you randomise patients as it looks like a statement, rather than an option to select. A minor fault in an otherwise great system!

Castor for clinical trial use

Vorteile:

-ease of building a database -online e-learnings -Ease of use for multiple users

Nachteile:

-Limitations in adding pictures -Combination of patient personal information in the same database as clinical information

Great EDC performance!

Vorteile:

I like how the EDC looks because it is very visual, and it is easy to see what remains to be completed.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, the queries are not visible in which CRFs are located.

A useful tool in research data collection

Kommentare: Very good experience in handling forms and participant data.

Vorteile:

Allows you to view participant data in an organized and efficient way, and the forms are easy to fill out and manage.

Nachteile:

it needs a more visible alert when a form is empty, because sometimes you do not notice it and you have to check it again point by point.

Kommentare: Its been wonderful learning and working with this database.

Vorteile:

Easy to navigate and likeable interface. Very simple and captures all required data.

Adding medication in the list comes up as a new sheet every time

Castor EDC is a good product

Kommentare: It was intuitive to make use of, and well-designed. It was helpful that a good amount of time was allowed to enter multiple case reports. I would recommend it and make use of it again myself if given the opportunity.

Vorteile:

The site worked well. In particular the survey was well designed to perform real-time quality assessment to promote completion of each section and provide feedback if answers were unclear. If there are any problems, human staff were readily available to resolve them.

Nachteile:

No significant dislike. It might be helpful to have a comment box available for each of the cases reported, in case the person completing the survey has any question about what is being asked for or is not certain that their best response is exactly what is being asked for. Not essential, however.

Caster System Review

Kommentare: It was easy to navigate with no lag time or slowness to entering in data.

Vorteile:

It was easy to navigate within the fields of Caster.

Nachteile:

I didn't have to use the Caster system for a long period of time, therefore I didn't find anything that I didn't like about the platform.

Nice Layout - Good Overview

Kommentare: I would recommend this tool more than other online sites. It was really a great experience to work with Castor EDC.
