Kommentare: Für Webshops nicht zu empfehlen. Fokus liegt hauptsächlich auf Amerika. Viele Intergrationen fehlen und es gibt auch keine externen Anbindungen, so wie dies zum Beispiel bei Shopify der Fall ist. Ich kann Squarespace leider nicht wirklich empfehlen und für den Deutschen Markt nicht wirklich zu gebrauche.

Vorteile:

Designtechnisch sicher gut. Jedoch sieht jedes Template gleich aus und man ist sehr eingeschränkt was Anpassungen anbelangt.

Nachteile:

Es gibt mehr Nachteile als Vorteile. Der Kundensupport ist absolut nicht brauchbar.Datenschutz kann man mit Squarespace nicht umsetzten. So ist es unmöglich einen Kunden zu löschen.

Die einzige Nachteile, die ich herausgefunden habe, dass Man leider kein fertige Plug ins nutzen kann.

Ich schätze bei Squarespace am meisten, dass ich mit den Design-Einstellungen ganz einfach einen Stil für die gesamte Website festlegen kann.

Nachteile:

Der neue Website Builder gibt zwar mehr flexible Möglichkeiten, jedoch ist diese dann jetzt nicht immer direkt mobil optimiert und mann muss hier etwas nachhelfen.

Squarespace ist eine meiner Top Websites. Ich kann tolle Websites für wenig Geld erstellen.

Nachteile:

Website-Probephasen laufen ab. Dies ist nicht toll für ein kleines Unternehmen, welches kein Budget hat.

Website Building Using Squarespace

Kommentare: My overall experience with Squarespace has been positive in terms of productivity, cost and variance. I enjoy being able to create many different forms of websites catered to specific business needs and appreciate that there are existing templates.

Vorteile:

What I like most about Squarespace is how easy and quickly it allows the user to create a website with all of the templates available for specific business needs. I also love the analytics available.

Nachteile:

What I like least about Squarespace is the Artificial Intelligence. It could definitely be improved upon in terms of creativity.

Initial thoughts of Squarespace

Vorteile:

I really liked how easy it was to use and how many products you could integrate into the website.

Nachteile:

I didn't like how it was a little more complicated it was to set up. To be fair I didn't watch the video's but it did take me a minute to learn how to set everything up. But, way easier to set up than coding it myself.

Just Okay... and very pricey

Kommentare: The website does what it needs to, and the designs are decent. However, the websites don't really stand out as all of the templates are the same, and you get so used to seeing the same thing over and over. Additionally, if you need any type of customization or something special for your site, it's not something you can usually easily do yourself.

Vorteile:

Squarespace has sleek designs and is easy to use for people who do not want to do the leg work in setting up their website, as it allows people to simply input information into templates.

Nachteile:

Very expensive for what it is. At a certain point, every template looks the same. Any type of customization that goes much further than changing text requires assistance from service representatives.

Squarespace Design

Ease of use wins the day

Kommentare: Easy! I can get ahold of their help desk, there’s a ton of online articles for support and almost everything I’ve been able to figure out on my own.

Vorteile:

The ease of use can’t be beat! I’ve been able to get 2 different websites up and running in a day. If you have most of your brand assets and guidelines ready, you can put up a site quickly and have something that functions even if you don’t have a tech background.

Nachteile:

The eCommerce features are fine, but could use some updates and some fleshing out. But it’s still a great place to start.

Pretty good tool

Kommentare: It has been alright. For the price we pay it would be nice to be able to have other sites on the same account for additional fees. or at least a couple adding pages as our company grows.

Vorteile:

I like that it works really well with other apps like Etsy and Squareup. It is pretty easy to set up with a template.

Nachteile:

Editing items in my shop after uploading from Etsy is a bit cumbersome. (it is one and done). customer service for one of my web domains has been poor.

The Best Website Tool on the Market

Squarespace Is NOT for Squares

Kommentare: I have really liked hosting my website on Squarespace. Despite their recent price increase, I think it is totally worth it. I can host my site with all the Google, payment, and social-media integrations I need/want.
Also their templates are a great starting point, and once you get use to how to edit and organize the webpages, it becomes very intuitive.

Vorteile:

It's integration of all things needed to fully set up a functional website.

Nachteile:

Editing the site is a bit counterintuitive at first.

Sometimes clunky. Sometimes glitchy but it is also most likely based on connection.

Great design, great features, great support

Kommentare: I was first introduced to Squarespace when I hired someone to design the website for my business, and he showed me how to make changes myself. From there I started to play with it and ended up creating simple websites for several clients, many of whom were then able to take over their own upkeep and maintenance. And in the three years I've been working with Squarespace sites, the features and support have only improved. I also love that they're very attuned to what's trending in graphic design, so their templates never look dated.

Vorteile:

The aesthetic. Squarespace's design templates are fresh, current, and appealing to begin with, which provides a lot of options for customization.

Nachteile:

It's not the most intuitive interface ever, but that said, they provide outstanding how-to articles and videos and infinitely patient customer support, so it's not hard to figure out how to do what you want to do, even if you have no coding experience.

Top quality website and easy to create!

Top quality website! Very easy to create a professional looking website all by myself. The templates are wonderful and suitable for all different types of programs. Absolutely love it!

Nachteile:

The monthly subscription program is pricey but a less expensive option then what I've used before.

You get what you pay for

Kommentare: After trying multiple free website building options, I finally relented and tried out the demo version on Squarespace to see what the learning curve would be like, and if it would be worthwhile ot go the paid route for a website. The answer was a resounding yes, and I've subsequently built 3 more sites with them since our first one. I tell every new business owner starting out, check out squarespace, save yourself the headace of the free platforms that limit creativity, and watch your business grow by the day.

Towards the beginning of my experience with Squarespace, I needed some customer sesrvice and the process to find where I could go for help was not easy. This was back in 2017 however, so I'm not sure if that process has improved since then (I'd like to think so!)

Absolutely fine!

Kommentare: I've used this software before and it really helped me with my website in the past. It has some good features and not difficult to use. You pretty much get what you pay for. Also, know that if you are aiming for really professional websites I wouldn't suggest you use Squarespace. But if you just want to set up a decent site in a short amount of time, I would definitely suggest you this software.

Vorteile:

First of all, it is extremely easy to set up websites in no time. It has some cool and modern-looking templates that you might want to consider. It is user-friendly and not much knowledge of coding is required which makes it a good choice for many companies and people. Even though I didn't struggle much with anything whilst using this software, support was always there to help.

Nachteile:

The way that the client can't change a lot, implies that expert clients are restricted and don't have much freedom. Other than the lack of freedom when choosing templates and editing fonts or just the way the website looks, I don't see any other downsides to this software.

A Novice Can Do It

Kommentare: I've had a great experience with Squarespace. I'm currently going through a website redesign. I utilized their "matchmaking service" to try and find a designer and thought it was the most efficient system. It's like online dating. You fill out a form, which is like your profile, stating what you want. You get matched up with several designers. From those you "swipe right" on five. Then it becomes up to those five to court you by sending you an email, reaching out to jump on a Zoom and you take your relationship from there. I feel like I scored. I am enjoying working with my designer. She's so knowledgeable and she understands what I'm trying to accomplish. I cannot wait for my new site to deploy.

Vorteile:

For the most part, anything I've tried to create on Squarespace is relatively easy. If I had questions, I was able to find a YouTube tutorial to figure it out. The sites look professional on both desktop and mobile and don't break the bank to create. You can also make your site transactional which is nice and the fees involved are reasonable.

Nachteile:

I am not a tech savvy person so some of the functionality requires an in-depth online lesson to recreate something I've seen, however, it is all figureoutable.

Great design features but need more e-commerce support

Vorteile:

Squarespace is amazing for putting together an attractive, professional website in no time. Having used various website builders over the years, I'd say Squarespace is the most beginner-friendly. The website templates are beautiful and very easy to edit - no coding or design skills required! Because of Squarespace's extensive customisable design elements, it is best for portfolio websites - where stylish layout is important and you don't need advanced e-commerce features. And being one of the most established website builder platforms around, you can also trust that your website will be secure.

Nachteile:

Squarespace isn't so great in terms of e-commerce integration. For example, it lacks the infrastructure to create useful shipping options (e.g. free delivery over £50), which should be an essential e-commerce feature. If you're looking to build an online store, I wouldn't recommend Squarespace.

My Love for all things Squarespace!

What I like most is it’s ease of use, new Fluid Engine and their stellar customer service.

Nachteile:

At this point with the new Fluid Engine and new design features I cannot think of anything else I would want; however that doesn’t mean there aren’t always new features that can be added. What I do know is that Squarespace listens to their users and they have responded by adding incredible new features and functionality. They continue to provide the best quality and reliability for their customers and that’s what keeps me a Squarespace user.

Fairly Easy to Use Website Builder

Squarespace is fairly easy to use. Has most fundamental features built into the platform. Great no-fuss option. It integrates with most major third-party apps as well so that's great.

Nachteile:

Drag/drop features/offerings are not as robust as other platforms. There are a number of limitations when it comes to customizations so some coding experience might be required for any special features, etc. you might want to create.

Squarespace remains my top choice, but just barely.

Kommentare: I used to build my own sites - first manually then through Wordpress. I used to have a lot of security issues. Multiple hacks and breaches. Lost sites and downtime. I haven't lost a wink of sleep over a website since I signed up for Squarespace. For me, that's worth the money I pay. The software is beautiful, slick and simple (once you understand it - it's a bit quirky). But the cost keeps rising while other, cheaper options keep getting better. I still love Squarespace, but it's increasingly tough to recommend based on price.

Vorteile:

Squarespace is easy to set up (a site can be completed in an hour or less if you have all the info you need ready to go). Once a site is live, it rarely has any issues, becomes visible on Google fairly quickly, and there are no security worries to deal with as everything is hosted on THEIR servers, not mine. The templates are the best in the business and it's difficult to make a Squarespace site look ugly. Not impossible of course, but tough :) Drag and drop interface is great and integrations abound.

Nachteile:

Squarespace has become increasingly expensive, moving more and more features to higher and higher tiers. Their e-commerce options are great for a simple store with few product options, but you cannot change the image of a product when a customer selects a variation of that product - like a different colour of shift, for example. This was a deal-breaker on a recent project and drove us toward Shopify. Wix sites used to look terrible. They can now look pretty good (again, mileage may vary with templates and design skills). Bandzoogle has more features for bands at a better price point. Weebly has great design options. All claim easy drag and drop interfaces. All offer cheaper options than Squarespace for a similar feature set. Squarespace domains are free for the first year only. Then, thye cost more than many other options. I found that one out the hard way.

SquareSpace is a let-down. It's hard to use and is missing basic features. The marketing fooled me!

Kommentare: Overall, I hated using SquareSpace and I was so disappointed because I switched away from WordPress + Divi to give SquareSpace a whirl based on SquareSpace's amazing marketing. What a let down. I will never use SquareSpace again. My client wanted both of his sites designed in SquareSpace because he was also duped by the ads. I made one site and it took forever because I was constantly googling how to do something with code to get the site how we wanted it. If you use SquareSpace be prepared to be frustrated or to hire a developer. Basic functionality is missing and you can't copy anything you've done to use elsewhere. I wanted to duplicate the first site and modify it for the second. You can't do that. I had to make both sites from scratch. Support was absolutely terrible. Zero help compared to the awesome Divi support staff that has made my designing life so great for so many years (I'm not an affiliate, just a fan). Oh! And SquareSpace is expensive! You have to pay for each and every site. With WordPress, you pay for hosting somewhere, like Siteground, and you can add as many sites to that account as you like no charge. Squarespace has pretty templates that you can't modify pretty much at all, and it's expensive with terrible support. Do not choose SquareSpace as your CMS unless you are a developer. Awful.

Vorteile:

SquareSpace has beautiful templates. They are truly gorgeous. SquareSpace also has an easy-to-use sidebar of options that puts everything that you can do on the left side. The interface is as clean as the templates. Hosting of your site is done through Squarespace. That's it when it comes to pros. There are a ton of Cons to using SquareSpace.

Nachteile:

As a WordPress user (who has also designed with Wix), SquareSpace falls short almost everywhere. You can't import your brand font—essential. You have to use code or a back-door solution with AdobeFonts. If you want 5 items in a row, no can do. You get 4 or 6. You can't drag the amount of padding around items and sections. You must use spacer blocks (time consuming and such a bad way to do things). There's no media storage! If you upload your photo it isn't stored anywhere for easy selection later. You must upload the same image multiple times whenever you need it—frustrating. Changes can't be made on individual copy styles. Squarespace sets up its CMS as a global system so if you want to change the way your font looks in just one place, you need to insert code (markdown block). You should be able to select it and change the size or colour. But no. It's CRAZY! So time-consuming. Missing basic word-processing functionality. Squarespace has no plugin options. You can't duplicate a page of your site and you can't duplicate your site! Everything is done from scratch! In WordPress, you download a .JSON file and upload it somewhere else and you're flying. Not with SquareSpace. You can't make your overlays look different per section. Everything applies globally. You can't add borders to images. The biggest CON? There's no undo! No revision history. If you delete something accidentally, it's gone forever. Support is terrible. Every answer is "you can't do that" or "try to find code.
