Diving in to a new partnership!
Kommentare: We've been quite pleased to date with all of our interactions and when problems or deadlines have moved - the EA team has worked with us to ensure we meed our organizational goals.
Vorteile:
Our organization had been with a Blackbaud product for many years and were challenged in ease of use and functionality. We were excited to find all of the assets as part of EveryAction that would allow us to engage with our donors, advocates, pet passionate people and pet parents in a very different way. As of now - we are smack in the middle of our data conversion. It is not without some pain points but that is absolutely expected in any conversion. But, I've been impressed with the quality of customer service, availability and commitment of the EA team to getting it right. As of now - I'd absolutely suggest exploring their tools and their team! We've been most happy!
Nachteile:
We are not deep into usage to be able to honestly answer this questions. We do know we one of the negatives in the selection process was the inability to embed video in outbound emails. But we understand many clients are requesting this option and are working hard to roll out that tool soon!
Bonterra Development + Digital
Vorteile:
Bonterra Development + Digital is a high-value product that is also user-friendly and intuitive. Embracing its functionalities has helped us improve productivity and increase revenue for the organization.
Nachteile:
There are certain limits to the capabilities of Digital. We've found that wanting to customize pages or functionalities to meet our needs is often not doable or is very time-consuming and expensive.
Not for small nonprofits
Kommentare: I have used this platform for over 5 years while working at a small nonprofit of 7 staff. Building lists for communications seems to work fine for my colleagues and me, but retrieving donor data that is useful and relevant is either awkward or impossible with this platform. Yesterday I actually did simple algebra on pen and paper to get the relevant comparisons I needed to provide a board member with requested data. As the only fundraiser at my organization, I have limited time. I tried to find how to get a 3-year donor report recently and found I could not get that information in a way that was useful. This should be a simple report that is easily applied to all donors. Instead, the best one can do is get a PDF of gross change over the past two years plus the current year. It is possible that I could get more of what I want given time, but small-shop fundraisers don't have two weeks to be constantly calling customer service and experimenting with the DMS. Given what I know about the information my board members currently want, I would never pick this platform. If you are a fundraising staff of one, beware.

This platform is reasonably priced and customer service is usually prompt.

Experience with Bonterra
Kommentare: Provides good function and has lots of features. However, learning it is difficult and HELP is lacking. Positioning graphics so that you get consistent spacing is difficult. There is ZERO help explaining how to prepare and position images, so it's all trial-by-error. Editing screens don't scroll completely. OTOH, it does a great job on reformatting for mobile.
Vorteile:
Allows us to send out newsletters and alerts to members, store our member information. Also works VERY well to let us send out alerts people can click on and generate an email to their representative.
Nachteile:
Very obtuse and hard to learn for a volunteer organization. "help" included in the product is minimal and uses terminology without explaining it, which makes it hard to learn/teach.
Bonterra Development
Vorteile:
The trainings are useful to use when needing to refer to.
Nachteile:
Some videos need to be updated and reflect new system changes.
Great software, be sure you have the team capacity to learn it
Vorteile:
The functionality/ features offered are really helpful and extremely versatile - we use EveryAction as our volunteer management base as well as our donor CRM.
Nachteile:
Be sure to dedicate the organizational/company time and capacity needed to customize it for your needs and to align across your teams about how to properly use the systems and get practiced with them. That is the biggest pitfall we've had as an org.

The process and time it took for our old database and CRM platforms to be converted into EveryAction's lingo and platform
A great digital solution for non-profits! Price point is affordable!
Kommentare: Good experience overall. We have doubled our online giving revenue and grown our email file by a third in a year and a half!
Vorteile:
Price is reasonable for the level we chose and the features available. Still many capabilities we can implement as we become more proficient with the platform, especially in automations and moves management.
Nachteile:
Would like more flexibility with memberships and a bulk delete option.
Easy, "glitch free" CRM with lots of features
Kommentare: I was dropped into this system with no training, only having used other CRMs before, and found it overall intuitive to learn and blissfully glitch free - that is, it does what it is supposed to do, and even though it is missing some features I would like or we have to pay more than we want for certain features, I'm very grateful for such an overall reliable and easy to use system.
Vorteile:
Having worked with many different CRMs, I appreciate how reliable EveryAction has been in terms of designing and sending emails to our base and in terms of tracking fundraising.
Nachteile:
They use alternative descriptions of common industry terms and it complicates learning the system at first. There are also certain features like "discount codes" that seem standard on other systems that are missing though the core capabilities are strong.

IndivisibleHoCoMD use of EveryAction
Kommentare: I find the overall use of this product positive. We have been able to put our many emails both weekly, bi weekly and monthly. Overall, our users like the emails and generally respond.
Vorteile:
We are able to segment publications to specific voting areas. This helps keep our responses positive and limits communicating with others. I think it has directly helped our reader response rate. Sign up forms had a direct impact on our meeting planning. The drag and drop editor along with the email source is easy to use once you have tried it a few times. It is easy to understand the new features, as well. I find the color options and organization tools very effective for reader response to our emails.
Nachteile:
When you need to find a tool, sometimes it is cumbersome since the product offers so much that it is almost impossible to find the item. I have spent a lot of time scrolling through the Help from EveryAction to find answers. When adding photos to the emails, it is timely to scroll through all the other photos and find the one you added. It would help to be able to delete or archive some of the earlier pictures. I have to preface this comment as we are delegated the package from Indivisible.org. And have found some tools were not in that packaging.

Kommentare: So far it's been great. We're looking forward to fully transitioning using it by the end of November and starting the year onboarding the rest of our staff.
Vorteile:
The cross-team collaborative platform, as well as team-specific customization. We're still relatively new to EveryAction, so this is a current general overview.
Nachteile:
Some pages for custom forms might require more technical coding support and in some few instances, forms/design seems bulky or dated. For the most part, the customization allows a flexible, seamless design paired with thoughtful, high functionality on both the external user and administrator end.

I like that I can set up events , sign volunteers up for events, set up one on one meetings, and keep track of my volunteers.

EveryAction, a catalyst to advocacy and organising campaign for non-profit.

My organisation have been able solve the following existential problems within the non-profit sector using EveryAction.
1. Out reach to mass audience, we have expanded our reach a quadruple times than how we started over ten years ago.
2. Donation management, we can fundraise and manage those funds almost seamlessly.
3. Time management, with our virtual space events, time has been swiftly managed and by extension, we have saved money.
My overall experience with this tool has been very excellent.
Vorteile:
The following features are golden pots of EA, 1. Reporting and Data Analysis This section of the tool is one of the excellent thing that has been done so far. My team do not require so much complex data science skills to understand the dynamics behind the datasets in EveryAction. The graphs are punchy and easy to understand. Their presentation formats render them very useful to various stakeholders within my organisation. 2. The Administrative menu This section is encompassing especially for the kind of jobs we have on our plate. Our organising team have been gratefully harnessing its simplicity and ease of use.
Nachteile:
The integration part of this tool has not been great from our end. We are yet to harness it full potentials. We actually looking at ways of integrating our financial solution within our finance unit to this tool. Secondly, the text messaging aspect has not being actively working as expected.

Raise more revenue in no time with EveryAction
Kommentare: Overall, EveryAction is a means to and end. The tool raises revenue to sustain democratic causes and political campaigns through Election Day and beyond. You can even group audiences based on certain characteristics, such as gender, age, household income, and party affiliation, volunteer status, and more. The administrator has complete control over the messaging and branding on the back-end, so it can be as basic or complex as you want.
Vorteile:
I like that EveryAction allows our organization to recruit volunteers, mobilize members during key moments, and cultivate relationships with small-dollar donors in order to increase social awareness, engagement, and website traffic for liberal and progressive issues on behalf of democratic clients. I especially like that events are simply to manage in the CRM platform and campaign metrics are easy to understand for reporting purposes.
Nachteile:
This is a technical issue, but for some reason, it is more difficult to embed EveryAction links into the body of an email, digital or social media ad soliciting revenue for a political campaign or cause compared to other software.
Moving to EveryAction was an great decision on our part -- incredibly better than our old system.
Vorteile:
Its step-by-step functionality is great even for non-tech people; they seem to get it much quicker than others. And the VAN integration was the big selling point for most people -- never before has it been so easy to see if someone opened an email, came to an event, filled out a form, and got a survey response all in one place before. And while we don't use it as much as I'd like, the Advocacy Tool is truly great and something I haven't seen others do as well. And Customer Service is always responsive and helpful if it's something that already exists.
Nachteile:
Everything that I would change about EveryAction are just additional tweaks to its existing functionality; I don't think there are any overarching/systemic flaws -- we would just be able to link back to survey questions, for example, whereas right now only activist codes are available, etc.
An extensive and versatile tool!
Vorteile:
We love how extensive EveryAction is. We're able to build extensive profiles for donors, volunteers, and supporters and create highly segmented lists as a result. There are so many tools to use, from reports to analytics, to phonebanks. We're excited about the development of automations and would love to see an option to include steps like texting or removing activist codes as well based on meeting search criteria. The interface is quite intuitive and easy to learn the more time you spend with it!
Nachteile:
I wish there were ways we could better integrate with google sheets, for example when someone submits a form on EveryAction we could send the info to a google sheet (besides ticketed events) or have the capacity for us to use a tool like Zapier. It's sometimes difficult to know how we could get more in-depth advice over the phone or zoom from EveryAction. Also the add-ons get quite pricey!
EveryAction has helped us take the next steps
Vorteile:
EveryAction is a great set of tools that has allowed us to up our game on email, segmentation, donor tracking, reporting and much more. It's intuitive and easy to use and new features are being added regularly. Ongoing opportunities to learn the tools through webinars and more are something you shoudl definitely take advantage of!
Nachteile:
The events and social media match tools have never quite lived up to their promise. Integration -- with 3 months of paid support -- was okay, but not great (but that was 2 years ago for us, so can't speak as much to present day).
This software is powerful but easy to use. Great customer support as well.

I like how intuitive it is to use. It is fast, easy to navigate, stores tons of important data, and makes my job a lot easier!

I would love if it was a little easier to customize, but overall a great product and highly recommended.
Adaptable CRM
Vorteile:
EveryAction is very easy to use and adaptable software. Last year, we only used the software to track contributions and donors, but now we are able to help create plans for individual donors and foundations!
Nachteile:
I would like the software to find a way to stop duplicate profiles from occurring or at least make it easier to find duplicates and merge them together.
staple CRM tool for every nonprofit
Vorteile:
EveryAction is a foundational tool for nearly every nonprofit and is thus an industry staple. It has the capabilities to manage, process, and download large volumes of donors and contacts.
Nachteile:
Difficult to sort through large volumes of contact in your database. EveryAction offers the ability to make “lists” to examine subsets of your database, but they are only viewable in excel form and not the most user friendly.
Love it

Vorteile:
It is easy to do cold calls. and to know who do you need to follow up with every day.
Nachteile:
It is hard to do follow-ups. You have to go back and forth from one screen to another. It is not like cold calling.
Does everything but nothing well
Vorteile:
EveryAction is convenient for non-profits because it's an out-of-the-box CRM solution with most of the features a non-profit or advocacy organization would want. EveryAction is provided by the same company (NGP) that creates the VoteBuilder and NGP tech products for Democratic campaigns, and is essentially the same SAAS repackaged for non-partisan groups.
Nachteile:
The online actions product is buggy. Unfortunately, there's no simple solution to feed data into EveryAction's ecosystem without significant investment in building an app using their API when they could easily allow WebHooks or Zapier integration. They make documentation for the API and third-party integrations very hard to find so you'll use their native products which, unfortunately, are not very good.
Great So Far

I love how seamless the user interface and ease of use is.

I don't like having to reset default commands every time I download gift details.
