Nachteile:

Sucuri is very good if you're willing to pay; however, it's not cheap.

Best way to keep your website safe from hackers!

Kommentare: As a website support service provider, our company is responsible for fixing websites. And because we put Sucuri on every site we support we have been able to reduce the time and effort required by our team to fix hacked sites.

Vorteile:

Hackers are a real threat to any website. Sucuri has been the only website security service we've used for years. It's simple to use and setup. It has worked better than any other solution on the market. Doesn't require any local installation or components. The support is some of the best I've ever worked with.

Nachteile:

Because some aspects of malware require cleaning files, I wish there was more automated way the software to more to clean the files, reducing the amount of time waiting for support to complete website cleanups.

Terrible CDN and Company with a half-decent WAF with zero customization

Kommentare: Stay away, after being a customer for 9-years, they suddenly just suspended my account with no reason, one minute to the other, no warnings or anything, not able to get a copy of my settings or anything. Suddenly my 40.000+ users faced an 404 and I had to be in a hurry to migrate somewhere else, which became cloudflare Honestly as someone who was worked in IT-security for 14-years, I'm very happy to be at Cloudflare, much more feature packed, sucuri lack so many industry standards, that's ridicoulus nowdays.
They haven't done any updates at all for the last 9-years I've been at them, very OUTdated. In Denmark our goverment published the website called "sikkerpånettet" for companies to test if their site lives up to current industry security standards, and Sucuri lives up to VERY few of the checkmarks. Eventually check your own sucuri site if you don't believe me. Customer service takes around 12-48hrs to get help, sometimes their response is okay, but most of the time you get answer that seems like coming from a BOT. Sucuri might be fine if you are running a blog, or something simple, but if you have a website with api's, or customers/users login to manage and see stuff, absolutely stay away, it's really hard to scale with Sucuri. Even simple features like websockets is missing.

Vorteile:

Half decent WAF, where you didn't have to do anything.

Nachteile:

How they communicate with their customers. The lack of features, customization, not being up to date with industry security standards. CDN was garbage very often did not do what it was intended for, and would give content to an user in Europe from their American servers, just showing their complete lack of competence

Adds more security to your website!

Kommentare: Overall i am happy with Sucuri Website Security as it adds a line of defense for my website that is really secure and the pricing is not that expensive so I am happy with it.

Vorteile:

I have used Sucuri for my wordpress websites, and it has been helpful as you get notified about the suspicious login attempts, ddos attacks and other updates. The best part i found is hardening, which stops every user on wordpress from editing the code and htaccess from wordpress.

Nachteile:

I did not like Uptime feature as when compared to realtime uptime updates, jetpack was way better then sucuri.

Peace Of Mind On Auto-Pilot

Kommentare: The firewall is a great add-on because it’s not a static product. It's always getting better through updates and improvements. When the latest vulnerabilities are discovered, I can count on the firewall and the Sucuri team to quickly update the firewall and keep my sites protected. It's a great peace of mind to have for something often overlooked.

Vorteile:

I like that the firewall has enough flexibility to work with other security elements. As we were initially testing, we had Sucuri's firewall as a supporting layer in our infrastructure. It turned into such a valuable asset we moved it to our first line of defense

Nachteile:

As with any product new product, there was a bit of on-boarding where the team needed to reconfigure some of our infrastructure to work properly with the firewall, but now as we've been going along some the changes we made as part of the implementation needed to happen anyway, so it was not a lost effort.

Pretty Good for it's price, well integrated with WordPress

Caching issues Uptime issues of the service (has had issues a few times) Technical Support has been mediocre at times

One killer aspect of Sucuri is the fact that its technology is not limited to only one platform, apart from WordPress it also works well with Drupal and Joomla.The site check scanner options are very fast at scanning. On a regular basis, the plugin will perform auto-audit on every single page, post, and file on the website to ensure that no data is lost without any recourse to accountability (yummy). The customer support service is also very warm and proactive

Nachteile:

Having a tool that works well and ultimately serves its purpose is good, however, making it easily accessible by keeping it fairly affordable is even better. Sucuri's pricing options are a little expensive (if you ask me). I mean, It will be hard for small-budget businesses to cope with this pricing for 3-5 months successively or longer. Not to talk about independent ones.Slightly adjusting the prices can lead to a massive expansion in client acquisition.

Vorteile:

We host and manage hundreds of websites for our recruiting firm clients. And since adding Sucuri firewall we have not had any malware issues. SSL, caching, block users by region and support is included

Nachteile:

Pricing is a bit expensive but worth it. Support is sometimes slow to respond to the initial request but once they reply they fix issues quickly.

Great security product if you're running a WooCommerce powered store

Vorteile:

Works like a charm right out of the box! Getting our website configured on Sucuri was absolutely quick and took less than an hour to have everything set up just the way we wanted.Solid security tool that made sure our Woo store was protected 24x7 from almost all usual vulnerabilities & threats one would expect on Wordpress. A pretty decent CDN that comes along with the firewall plans was a nice to have.

Nachteile:

Support was mediocre, I would say. In most cases the average TAT ranged between 14-24 hours.Sucuri's CDN network was pretty limited. Over the 2 years we used Sucuri, the team had no confirmed plans to expand their Anycast CDN Edge Network, while most other CDN providers offered a much larger geographical coverage.

Very poor support, very!

Kommentare: Very very horrible service. It added to the stress levels of having my website suspended and potentially losing money on it

Nothing about this service has been good so far. Their daily website scans have been saying that my website has 0 issues and 0 malware files while failing to fix the issue through the ticket I submitted.

Nachteile:

I’m a real estate agent in Toronto and I use a lot of services for my business, including some legacy software and never have I ever had such a horrible experience with a service provider until Sucuri. I’ve had my website flagged and taken down because of malware on Saturday. 3 hours later, as recommended to me by my hosting provider, I signed up for Sucuri with the sole purpose of getting my website cleaned. Having it done asap was imperative because every day I have prospects visiting my website and if I lose even 1 prospect, that’s tens of thousands of dollars in commission. So before signing up for their service, I chatted with their rep on the website. He said that it’s hard to give a timeline but most malware issues get resolved within 24-48 hours. So I signed up. On Monday, at 2am my time, a support rep got back to me and informed me that they can’t login to the website and they asked that I create a connection for them. Their instructions were so limited, I had to reach out to their rep on the chat to clarify and then sent them the info they asked for. It took the same support rep till the next morning (at 1am) to get back to me and tell me that the connection I set up is wrong and provided 0 guidance on how to fix that. I’m sure it’s going to take them another day to get back to me. So the main reasons I would advise against using: terrible support (chat option is only on the website some of the time; response via email or account takes 24-hours; poor communication

Another Reliable Plugin for Websites Protection

Sucuri is best known for its rich dashboard; it provides all the newbies need to shield their sites and platforms; its real time reports, on time response if incidents occur and mainly its user friendly tools that help you in few minutes scan and clean your site.

Nachteile:

Actually, I have nothing to say against this powerful tool to protect sites except its yearly price. It is not affordable for many unlike "iThemes" or "Wordfence", for instance.

Vorteile:

I’ve had a site hacked and porn images displayed. Tried using other security/malware removal apps and they didn’t work. Sucuri saved the day! Easy to use and some great features.

Nachteile:

Would like more features for hardening login. I currently use other software to harden my login and get 2fa, would be nice to just use sucuri.

Sucuri Security - Maybe the best choice

Kommentare: Have used it with success to clean and protect an infected site and can happily recommend it to anyone wanting the best of security for their projects.

Vorteile:

Sucuri provides a massive range of help if your website has been attacked, and also, to prevent attacks. It cleans your site 100%, or at least that was my experience after an attack where a ton of malicious files was uploaded to my site. Also, it is very cost effective, not the cheapest of them all, but one of the cheapest and the one that is recommended the most(?) in my niche (Internet marketing).

Nachteile:

Not much bad to say here, the only factor could be price, as most of the security solutions for cleaning a site can be costly for solopreneurs. Other than that, it is highly worth it in my opinion.

My website was hacked - now what?

Kommentare: They fixed the problem, sent me emails, re-cleaned the site when google ads still complained and set up the firewall. Great service both from the techs and the chat people (that needed me online to relay login info when the tech was trying to get into my site). A well co-ordinate approach.

Vorteile:

The people (not bots) at Sucuri cleaned up all of the malware on my site. Google Ads informed me that my ads were disapproved (after running for 4 years) because the website became infected with malware. My hosting provider would not help clean up the website but pointed me to Sucuri. I subscribed to the basic plan for $199/year. Within 3 days the site was clean from malware and a firewall installed.

Nachteile:

The basic plan will get to your problem on a lower priority than the more premium plans - which is to be expected. I found that by chatting with the rep I got more attention to my problem, and when I didn't chat my trouble ticket was more likely to be ignored.

Sucuri Website Security

Vorteile:

When I used Sucuri website security I liked the malware scanning and the email notifications when something was wrong.

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything I don't like about the product. Maybe the cost that is what made me switch.

Full Featured Website Security

Kommentare: I use the Sucuri plugin for my wordpress sites and have found it to be feature-rich. Though I have been building websites for ages, I'm surprisingly not too familiar with the areas of security risks for these websites. Sucuri has helped me out on several fronts and covers me in areas that I am not even aware of (because I don't understand all of the jargon and technical talk). However, one feature that I really appreciate is that I get an e-mail every time there is a failed login, so I will know if someone is trying to hack into my website using a brute force attack. I sometimes get those emails myself, just because I guess my own password wrong, but I'd rather at least know where the attempt is coming from because it collects ip addresses and I can search that. Overall, I feel much more confident with Sucuri monitoring my websites and protecting me from hackers.

Vorteile:

Love the rich features - it can be setup by a beginning web developer and is strong enough to satisfy even experienced web dev folks.

Nachteile:

There is some technical jargon that makes some of the settings hard to understand for newbies to website security.

Not that reliable but good for tracking Blacklist status, too expensive

Kommentare: Only as a second opinion or to quickly check a site as another available option to make sure nothing is missed, but overall, I prefer the free version since it isn't as reliable as other scanning software.

Expensive for Basic plan // Incomplete check - doesn't see all your site files // Have seen it miss malware that other software recognized and cleaned up (for free) // Doesn't give you much control over what files are checked, and does not allow you to 'skip' or 'ignore' files that you know are safe // False positives are possible too

You Should Not Have A Website Without Using Sucuri!

Kommentare: I can't tell you enough how much I love Sucuri! They saved my whole site when it was compromised by plugins. Super easy to use, just sign up, send them the information on what's going on with your site and these magicians will figure it out and restore your business. Their customer service can't be beat, they are helpful, reassuring and positive. I was in a panic and they came to my rescue. I will gladly pay them the subscription fee as long as I maintain a web presence (may that be for many many more years)! Seriously, DO NOT attempt to have a website without them; something will happen, it's only a matter of time. They will make it so you avoid the headaches of being hacked.

Great firewall service for Wordpress users

Kommentare: Our Wordpress site has been using the Sucuri firewall service for years. They do a great job of working with you in the event of a hack to clean up your files, and the firewall works to prevent a hack in the first place. It also does some file caching to speed up your site.

Can't put a price on website security

Kommentare: I had one of my sites hacked into, which was a nightmare. At the moment I (too late) realized I needed a good security software to protect my sites. After some research Sucuri was the most recommended one out there. They quickly found my issues, got rid of the malware and have protected my sites perfectly ever since. Don't wait until you get hacked - secure your sites NOW and Sucuri is the perfect solution.

Vorteile:

Totally secures your websites, scans for malware regularly, alerts you of any security issues on your sites, gives you a weekly snapshot of your web security.

Nachteile:

So far, I haven't found anything that I don't like about this service. They are first rate and give me peace of mind.

They are able to remove the malware but refuse to find the source

Kommentare: While they are able to do the job, we do not rate them highly when it comes to ethics. When you as a paid member ask them to find the source of hack they hide behind 'we do not do forensic analysis' and do not care to find the source through which your site is hacked. On the other hand they publicly disclose 0 day vulnerabilities and eventually serve the hackers the code on platter.

Vorteile:

They are quick to fix when your site is infected/hacked.

Nachteile:

They refuse to find the source of the malware which leads to site getting infected again.

Sucuri is amazing, but too expensive.

Kommentare: If they introduced a small/medium website package, they would corner the market as their software is incredible. Their support is amazing, their documentation is brilliant.

Vorteile:

Sucuri is THE security scanner for your website. Nothing comes close to the features and support.

Nachteile:

The price is the only thing that I dislike about Sucuri. It is not designed for small or medium size companies.

The best of its type to use for site security
