Great system for resource management

Kommentare: We have been using Hub Planner for over 3 years and it has been a very successful tool for our project and team resource planning. Simple to plan in the work and review view our stand-up meetings.

Vorteile:

Integration with the business was easy and the stand-out feature was the resource planning calendar. Easy to schedule projects across our internal and external teams.

Nachteile:

The reporting has lots of options but it's not the easiest to use.

Kommentare: It's fine, the benefits are really to my managers, not me. You'll have to ask them

Vorteile:

The main reason we chose this platform over others is the ability to plan employee capacity into the future.

Nachteile:

I don't like the project display system. I don't like that multiple projects can have the same name. I don't like that if a project is deleted all of that time entered goes with it and there is no record or notification. The dashboard isn't super usable

Hub Planner is highly functional and customisable resource management tool.

Vorteile:

We chose Hub Planner to get serious about resource planning and to move away from spreadsheets and emails. It was very easy to set up to suit our needs. Grouping and filtering resources proved very handy. It integrated our timesheet system which is now much more precise and user-friendly. The recent annual leave feature replaced our previous system and is very easy to manage. The reports are detailed (or not) as we choose and quick to generate. The software is intuitive and nicely customisable so we can see exactly the information we need without any unnecessary clutter. I personally have to command the customer service which is quick, reliable and personable. There are not always quick solutions (like in life!) but there always seems to be a workaround. The product seems to be going from strength to strength with new features and upgrades/updates regularly which is good to see. Overall, we are very happy with the product and can definitely recommend it.

Nachteile:

Since this software is still in development, there are features that we would like to have and are not available (yet) - but of course we realise these things take some time. However, we are very happy with the progress and new features added over the course of our use (about 2 years). There are the occasional intermittent issues but the CS team is very quick to sort these out.

Resource Management for eNett International

Kommentare: I had and continue to (on an ad hoc basis) have very positive dealings with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] (Irish) based in Sweden I believe.

Vorteile:

As we reached a certain size, it was clear we required a resource management Tool. The IT PMO approached this as part of our annual 'Hack Day', we researched and trialled numerous offerings and ultimately settled on Hubplanner. We had it set up and active within a day. It also has significantly reduced the time and people involvement in our fortnightly resource planning sessions.

Nachteile:

We really only use the Resource Management aspect of the software. There are numerous features thatw e already have a working solution in place for. A pro/rata rate for selecting only the services you need would be a great win.,

Kommentare: Overall i'm quite happy with hub planner, it seems to serve our basic resource tracking needs

Vorteile:

Ability to see forecast vs reported, Dashboard & Reporting feature

Nachteile:

Inability to adjust dates on the dashboard, and set 'line-managers' to approve time-sheets, rather than projects managers as it currently stands. Would also be ideal to have more support through calls, rather than by email which can be frustrating at times.

Moving from spreadsheet planning to Hub Planner was incredibly easy to set up & implement & roll-out

Kommentare: We have reduced the management of resource planning & also the number of times files became corrupt. Also, allowing different groups different access levels meant we could provide management reporting and user reporting in the same application. Introducing timesheets means we were able to move to a single application rather than two for planning & time recording.

Vorteile:

Easy planning features that can be viewed through project, resource group or other lenses is powerful. Integrating this to Hub-Planner timesheet functionality was equally simple and reduces the effort users have to do to complete their timesheets due to the pre-population. Data extraction & the ability to build customer reports is straightforward. The help guides are detailed & comprehensive, but if they don't provide the answers, the support team are fantastic & responsive, providing a fast & efficient resolution to any problems or questions.

Nachteile:

There are a lot of things you can configure within Hub Planner, but if you want a fully customized solution then Hub Planner may not work for you.

overengineered

Kommentare: Completly overengineered. I get the feeling that people who designed it don't need to use it.

Vorteile:

I like what it looks like. The black background and colour scheme is quite nice.

Nachteile:

I can't seam to find what I look for without clicking a billion times. There are way too many options and most of them are useless to me.

the inability to expand on each task bubble to see more information of task assigned

Sending emails all the time when we do a change, I think is not necessary

Great Planner

Kommentare: I think its a great way to see jobs booked in for the week/month and be able to see what the rest of the team are working on too

Vorteile:

I like being able to see my weeks layed out and being able to add the times on the timesheet to be able to keep track of how long I have spent on a project.

Nachteile:

It would be great if it had a section to create your own to do list/ task list as right now only the administrator can add tasks onto a booking in my schedule

This needs improvement. Looks outdated and slow.

Kommentare: It's the software selected by the company, therefore, there is no say but definitely I would think twice if someone asks for a recommendation given the lack of modern UI and performance.

Vorteile:

It has all the elements needed to do tracking, etc

Nachteile:

UI is way outdated compared to the competition.

Great tool for Capacity Management

Vorteile:

- Hour based capacity planning - Selectable Business hours and days - A lot of possibility to personalize - API - Fast and effective support

Nachteile:

- nothing special, sometimes there were some bugs, but they were solved in hours and days or weeks

User friendly and easy to manage

Kommentare: Hub Planner is a super product that really listens to their customers.

Vorteile:

Super user friendly product and relatively simply to integration via API.

Nachteile:

Reporting capabilities improved a lot over the years, but we never really took advantage.

Good product, with a lot of scope for improvements

Vorteile:

Tracking leaves, project planning are well designed.

Nachteile:

Extremely cumbersome to fill timesheets. Having to click to edit each entry is like so 20th century! You guys need to really up your game. Why not let tab button/arrows help navigate between entries?

Hub Planner review

Kommentare: Overall the product serve our needs for 4+ years. We have added new software in other areas as we have grown and needed better connectivity between systems than Hub Planner could provide.

Vorteile:

It was easy to use and track time effectively

Nachteile:

It needs more project and task management features; better integration with other softwares

Nice Tool for TC tracking

Vorteile:

- easy to use, and straight forward in handling - nice design

- it is not possible to delete a TC entry once a time is selected

My Review

Vorteile:

Is a very easy software to use for project tracking and projections.

Nachteile:

can be difficult to add new projects and requires admin support.

Hubplanner

Vorteile:

That is quite inuitive and that all the allocation codes and project I can allocate time to are already pre-recorded in the system. This makes it quick and easy.

Nachteile:

this does not have anything to do with the software but I don't remember to log time as often as I should and I find it hard to remember what I did for every hour of every week

Easy overview about all projekts at hand

Kommentare: Hub Planner makes managing the manpower and workflow easy.

Vorteile:

- allows a fast overview of your and your teams jobs - makes it easy to stay updated - allows better planning

Nachteile:

Not that much here. Would be helpful, if the timesheet of the person logging in would pop out always on top without typing in your name.

Flexibility and Accessibility

Kommentare: The HUB Planner platform has streamline out S&OP planning process. Out project managers now have the information they need to structure budgets around resource availability and project timelines. We are making more informed decisions from hiring to sales because of HUB Planner.

Vorteile:

The tool itself provides an intuitive set of reporting tools and visuals on our team. In addition to the native tools the read and write API makes decision making possible across platforms.

Nachteile:

Some of the permissions could be bifurcated further into "edit" and "view" buckets. A marginal increase in baseline environment configurations could go a long way.

Great Scheduling tool

Kommentare: Very good. It's fun and easy to see our next schedule and the upcoming projects.

Vorteile:

Easy access to the schedule of everybody.

Nachteile:

The schedule is only on a line. Could be great is the schedule for one person could be set to see more than few weeks.

Organizes my project list

Kommentare: It works for me. It is simple and gets the job done.

Vorteile:

It allows me to easily see what is coming up on my project list.

Nachteile:

No complaints, but I'm only an end user, so I don't use that many features.
