Sage Business Cloud Accounting review

Kommentare: Capability to meet the objectives of the finance department while also making the workflow much easier in terms of maximizing efficiency

Vorteile:

The installation and implementation procedures are straightforward. I like how easy the features are to use, even for non-accountants. It enables clients and colleagues to share files in real-time, saving time and eliminating the need to send invoices via email. This streamlines and lowers the cost of debtor management. When one is on the go, having access via a mobile device is extremely useful. The software is also reasonably priced, and it includes a free trial period. Sage's customer service is excellent.

Nachteile:

One suggestion is that when adding a new Item from the Invoice screen, the new Item screen includes all features (such as selecting the Purchase account). You must currently exit the Invoice, create a new Item, and then return to the Invoice.

Bad Customer Service

Vorteile:

It has many features. There is quite a bit of set up.

Nachteile:

Large upfront cost to set up. Some functions are hard to use. It is expensive and account manager does not help. We are being charged for a function we do not use but signed up for by mistake. Too bad..you still are required to pay the annual fee.

Sage Accounting - User friendly accounting software

Kommentare: I would recommend Sage to other businesses, ... it's an all in one accounting software. You can even integrate other softwares to enhance some of it's features like AI AP automation. :)

Vorteile:

Sage is a great accounting software for a company's accounting needs. It covers every aspect of ones business, from invoicing, to AP, to AR, inventory, and the end result of a businesses operations - the financial report.

Nachteile:

So far I like Sage and what it has to offer! No complaints as of yet. It works for us and our needs.

I really wanted this to work

Kommentare: Unfortunately my experience was poor. I loved their desktop program and really wanted to love their cloud solution just as much.

Vorteile:

I love cloud solutions and the reports from this would have been nice.

Nachteile:

I was hit with what seemed like every road block as I tried to switch from my Sage Desktop program into their cloud program. Customer Support was lacking and I ended up joining a Facebook support group of other accountant/bookkeepers making a similar switch. In the end I had to make the decision to let it go or loose my productivity.

Sage Accounting

Kommentare: Overall experience of Sage Accounting is positive. It is a reliable and comprehensive tool for different business scale.

Vorteile:

The interface is very user friendly and straightforward. New user is easy to pick up the use of software. It also provide comprehensive features like invoicing, payroll and inventory management.

Nachteile:

Even the tool is user friendly, some features could be complex for users without accounting backgrounds.

Not overall easy to use on a mobile device

Great customer service but not cheap!

The customer service is great! Friendly, knowledgeable staff located in Canada!

Nachteile:

It’s not cheap! Other softwares (such as Xero) is less expensive. Sage also used to be a one time cost and now it’s an annual subscription.

Really Easy Software for Non-Accountants

Kommentare: I honestly, couldn't imagine running my business without it. It's such an integral part of my business and frees up my time so that I can focus on other things. Truly outstanding!

Vorteile:

I love the usability of this product. As a non-accountant, I feel able to easily keep track of my small business accounts with Sage Business Cloud Accounting. Plus, if ever there is a time where I don't know something and my accountant isn't available, the Sage help is excellent. I love the new addition of the Sage University which is going to be a real help in training my team.

Nachteile:

I feel that for me personally, the cash flow forecasting is a bit complicated, but I'll admit I haven't fully explored this side of things, I tend to do all my budgeting on a spreadsheet but it would be handy to have it integrated with my accounts. Maybe a section that can look at the P&Ls for past years and recommend budgets for the months, quarters and year ahead. Again, it's not something I've fully looked into so it may already exist on the platform.

Sage Online Accounting

Kommentare: The software is good and reliable. Very few errors have happened to the software, since we have moved to the cloud. So Good.

Vorteile:

You can log in from anywhere. Take on is easy. Invoicing is simple to use. Allocating receipts and payments straight from the important bank statements makes processing easy

Nachteile:

The stock system does not intergrate well between the stock holdings and values and the balance sheet. Extra modules are required for this basic function and this does not always solve the problem. This results in clients needing to continuously reconcile stock to balance the Inventory Valuation to the Inventory Ledger.The project management systems need to be improved so individual and multiple projects can be quickly monitored in an income statement.

Cloud Accounting Package that is easy to use with limitations

Kommentare: Overall for our purposes the software is easy to setup and use. I like the ability to access it anywhere and the ability to attach documents to transactions in the system. Modifying the chart of accounts was easy but the lack of customization on the layout of financial statements is frustrating.

Vorteile:

We have used the software version of sage products such as Sage Business Works and Sage 50 so the product and company are familiar to us. The ability to login to the software from anywhere and to no longer have to have client/server environment is great. The software was easy to signup for and was relatively easy to implement.

Nachteile:

There are 2 large cons to this software in comparison to it's direct competitors. Con #1: The package has no ability to custom group GL accounts. So for example, if you have a section on your income statement for sales and you want to group sales by category and have a sub-total for that sales section you cannot do that. There is really no ability to edit the income statement layout or the balance sheet layout to add in sections and sub totals so you are stuck with the canned version of the software. Con #2: In an environment where you have multiple small companies, you look after you cannot have one userid and password to access all the companies. You have to setup each company with it's own userid an password then invite another user via an email link to join.

Sage Accounting Review

Vorteile:

Very easy to use. Intuitive. On the rare occasions I have needed to contact customer services they have been very helpful and always sort my query.

Nachteile:

When integrating from sage 50 accounts product quantities did nit integrate.

Simple to navigate

Kommentare: Generally easy to use, customer support is always very good.

Vorteile:

Generally a very user friendly programme with excellent customer support.

Nachteile:

No batch invoicing so it is much more time consuming when entering multiple invoices for the same supplier.

a tool to trust if there is budget for it

Kommentare: very good, all the accounting department can work with it.

Vorteile:

the robustness of the software, it does not save locally any file, is connecting to the server for every query.

Nachteile:

the price is very high, the company need to be bigger to be able to pay this software, the customer service is not very good in the it section, they are accountants.

Sage could accounting - innovative solution

The software is quite expensive if companies does not needs all features presented.

Good and easy software.

Vorteile:

Very easy to setup and use it. Nice and intuitive UX. A lot of good and useful features "ready at your fingertips"

Nachteile:

Sometimes the loading speed is very very slow.

Easy accounting

Vorteile:

From my point of view, Sage Accounting worth every penny. It was easy to deploy and use even with a little help from the support team, which by the way does a great job. Getting the weekly/monthly reports is easy.

Nachteile:

Is not perfect, there were a few flaws but were resolved.

Simple to learn, gives you great data

Kommentare: I started a new job and I was up and running on invoicing at the end of the week, by week two I was able to post cash. It did take a little bit of time to familiarize myself the reports and with the general ledger. When I covered accounts payable it was also very intuitive. One of the most intuitive computer systems I have worked with ever.

Vorteile:

The company I got a job with a few years ago used Sage, I was apprehensive about learning a new computer system but Sage was easy. It was intuitive if you have a little experience and accounting knowledge. It gives very great reports and gives you a lot of basic detail. I like.the fact that you can drill down to give various information.

Nachteile:

There were a few times that I wish there was an online help to explain a few questions. There are a lot of reports and I feel like you may have to look at several reports to pull some advanced details.

Just don't

Kommentare: I wanted to use Sage business accounting cloud for basic bookkeeping and I couldn't even do this.
My experience was of utter frustration. Not only with the lack of capabilities and difficulty in using the software but even worse, with their billing department. I was charged the wrong amounts every single month. Clients were charged for software that they didn't even use. Some clients were charged for software that I had already paid for. Nobody in accounts could fix it. Not even the directors were able to fix it. What an absolute disaster. I am absolutely at a loss as to how they are still in business.

Vorteile:

The sage logo hinted that it may be similar to their line 50 product. Oh, how wrong I was. There is quite literally nothing good I can say about this software, their customer support nor their accounts and billing team.,

Nachteile:

It falls way short of functional. It couldn't be further behind the competition if they did nothing. Essential features like repeating invoices were missing. You can't pay with or receive into the director's loan account. You are restricted in the number and type of bank/cash accounts you can have. Fixing anything is a mammoth task and even then, it doesn't actually fic the issues.

Straightforward accounting

Kommentare: You can usually tell when you have a decent piece of software, when you only have tos pend a few minutes to accomplish what you went in to do and then quit. Sage does exactly that for me and my business! The most tedious task that I have to do, is just made so much easier for me, compared to the days in the past when I had to hire an accountant and fill in spreadsheets. IT has more than paid for iteself with savings from having to keep an accountant on the books.

Vorteile:

For someone that has never used accounting software before, I was up and running within 30 minutes and had my first invoice wnging its merry way to teh client to be paid. With very helpful customer service checking in on me in the initial period, I was able to get the rest of the package set up quite easily, including being able to do my VAT returns easily. Great software that does everything that a small business needs!

Nachteile:

To be honest, y grumbles have been few and minor. The big things it does well, but sometimes I just confused by the numbers it displays but that is more often than not finger trouble in displaying sort orders of the date column.

Sage Accounting for every day

Kommentare: I use sage for my own practice, for my husband's business and I have 34 clients where I am the invited Accountant. This system is well designed to make accounting easier.

Vorteile:

It is easy to set up and use. Because it is an online system it can be accessed anywhere anytime.

Nachteile:

They do have some issues with slow or degradation but have been working on this. Also billing department is not easy to contact so have had issues there

Great for small and medium businesses

Kommentare: Always useful and quick to resolve any issues I may have.

Vorteile:

Allows you to set up accounts at ease with easy to review financial reports allowing users to understand where their business stands at any point in time.

Nachteile:

Once you have filed your VAT returns you cannot go back and update/edit the previous entry
