Paymo is a good controlling platform

Vorteile:

We need to track the progress for several, multiple projects for both, time budget and estimated tasks.

Nachteile:

In the past the invoicing and estimation templates are not the best. I need my CSS knowledge to fit them within a german document template. There must be an updated templating, but i just didn't found the time to test it out.

Great but could improve

Kommentare: It saves me time, especially with invoicing, I use it daily for my work.
It feels a bit unfriendly at time when I get to the website. Many tabs, some missing options unless I upgrade to the most costly version. But overall indispensable. I have recommended it to other companies already. Also, the sync with google calendar doesn't work for me. Maybe I didn't configure it properly but I tried several times. The time don't appear in any other calendar than on the Paymo website.

Vorteile:

It's simply the cheapest option for time tracking, project management + automatic invoicing. Unfortunately some essential features need upgrading each time. It is sad that we don't get more with Small Office than Kaban. Still, it is the cheapest for making clean invoices.

Nachteile:

It lacks some project management options such as adding description text or brief to projects. Ideally it should be visible on one screen -> Project summary then the list of tasks.

Nothing special, but it works

Vorteile:

We use Paymo for time management, or at least tracking the hours spent on projects. For this purpose it works. The interface is easy to use and it time entry is a breeze.

Nachteile:

Paymo is not the best solution out there, but not the worst either. I would not say there is a particular bad thing about Paymo, rather that it comes down to personal preference. I, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this, find timesheet entry a pain, regardless of what time tracking software is being used. Is there a better way of doing this? Yes, but I have not developed it, yet.

Paymo Invoices

Vorteile:

I've been using Paymo for years, and I don't plan to switch. It's easy to use, reasonably priced, and it is continuously updated and improved.

Nachteile:

I don't use the project management features because I don't need them. So for me, that aspect is overkill. But I am sure other people need those features.

Valuable Addition to Business

Kommentare: Great experience, and had issues with invoice templates, but received an update from support and the issue was fixed within 10 minutes.
The time I have saved this year is immeasurable.

Vorteile:

Priced to replace the free versions of the software. Automation of invoices, compared to using Pages template. If more work is completed for an un-invoiced project, editing the invoice is a simple process. The dashboard to keep track of all projects makes things much easier, compared to my old Google Sheets attempt at a project tracker. Archiving completed projects allows quick filtering of only the important things. Time reports allow a quick insight into what is still to be invoiced.

Nachteile:

I would like a quick notes section added to the dashboard, A daily checklist of the work day, rather than a specific project.

Love this PM Tool

Kommentare: Love Paymo, super easy to use and customizable!

Vorteile:

Really helpful tool for project task management, tracking, establishing deadlines, planning resources. It’s essential for me to track my time working with each project to ensure staying on budget and also manage my own invoice.

Nachteile:

Would love different colours in the tasks and also that we can add hourly rates beyond just £ as that makes our invoice tracking a bit tricky. Would also love to manage an entire task from the front task mask (add hour estimates etc)

Excellent task- and time tracking software for small agencies

Vorteile:

Task management and time tracking is baked into ONE system so you pay once, not for two different systems. Easy to use like Asana, but packed with more functionality, like Clickup – but much better than either.

Nachteile:

Paymo can’t (yet) set a price per word for invoicing articles, and due to legal requirements in the UK, I have to export invoices to Quickbooks and send them from there rather than directly from Paymo.

Good value for money

Kommentare: Overall a great app to use. We successfully manage a small team of 9 with the feature set and get good feature development feedback

Great platform for freelancers & agencies

Kommentare: Overall very satisified. I wish Paymo would offer more customization and more robust templates, or a clever AI assistant which analyzes my usage and makes suggestions to save me more time.

Vorteile:

I like that Paymo can be used with different setups and requirements. As a freelancer, I can set up my clients, my projects and keep track of all of them. It's a critical app for me.

Nachteile:

The mobile app needs more refinement. As i invite guests over to my project dashboard, I am currently unable to notify them whenever I post a comment. This has been unsresolved for a while so I barely use the app.

Basic time tracker. Ok quality.

Vorteile:

Basic use is very easy. I like that service has mobile app mac app that I use daily.

Nachteile:

The mac app should support more than just time tracking. You should at least be able to see the card information. Sometimes if multiple people are put on the same card it is annoying if the card is in process if you are not yourself active on that card. Also all the cards that you are tagged in, do not show up to your own task list.

Generic Paymo User

Vorteile:

Quick and easy to use for time logging. Specifically the ability to start and stop a timer is helpful because at the end of a day I can't remember how long I spent on what work...

Nachteile:

Nothing actually. I more dislike the way the company is using it since we are required to write essays describing what we did for every time entry

Excellent for SMB Project Management and Time Tracking

Kommentare: I have used Paymo for years and I've recommended it to many people. I am happy with the product.

Vorteile:

I like that I can manage multiple projects over many clients and keep organised with an easy to view dashboard. I like that everything is integrated from quoting to task creation and time tracking and then invoicing.

Nachteile:

The invoice creation integrates well with Xero but the invoice numbers don't match which makes it difficult to track. Also, once an invoice has been paid in Xero, it doesn't feed back to Paymo to mark it as paid.

Review of an architectural firm

Kommentare: Happy overall. The app could improve if small daily tasks could be included.

Vorteile:

The clear time tracking combined with the project overview gives us as a good overview of the company.

Nachteile:

The daily tasks of empoyees are not in use. This could be improved. Other apps seem better at daily tasks and small daily overviews. We use paymo more for the 'bigger picture'.

Paymo for Consulting Side Hustle

Kommentare: Very pleased. I've been a customer for a long time and just recently decided to pay for a plan as business picked up more. I love that I've never been unpleasantly surprised by a change.

Vorteile:

The ease of tracking time and automating invoicing is essential with a team of one!

Nachteile:

Some of the convenience features are only available to the higher paid plans. I feel that those features should be available to all paid plans. Only entirely separate functions should be unlocked with higher plans.

Time Tracking Master

Kommentare: Paymo has been solid for us, no technical issues or downtime, bugs, etc.. Has really kept us on top of our game in relation to time based tracking and billing.

Vorteile:

We love the time tracking and task management. Hands down easiest and executed well.

Nachteile:

Invoicing. Needed to do recurring monthly, quarterly, yearly invoicing for retainers and subscriptions. Was not available at the time.

Time tracking for grant services.

Vorteile:

Ease of use for multiple clients and multiple projects and multiple users.

Nachteile:

If you quick create a new project there’s not a way to add a template from that screen.

The best time tracking and project management tool

Kommentare: For me it was a game changer, once I started working with Paymo.
Today it's one of my most important business tools.

Vorteile:

Using this excellent time tracking suite changed the way I manage my business. It's been more than 10 years of understanding the big picture, charging the clients accordingly, having my own database of project durations and scope.

Nachteile:

I wish I could customize more dashboard settings, though what's there is quite good

A tool for project managers in the Design world.

Vorteile:

It's very user-friendly. It's easy for users to join projects, and from the beginning, it's clear what they should be doing in the product. I highly value real-time reporting, which I provide to clients, and everyone has control over the budget and transparency.

Nachteile:

I'm missing a feature where I could plan the allocation of individuals based on the backlog of tasks. The goal is to check whether a person is executing planned tasks in a given week or if support is needed.

Nachteile:

Would prefer if it could be set to send invoices to customers fro. Company email address. Also, i wish there was a way to back it up daily in case something were to get deleted by accident.

Paymo is The Ultimate Time Tracking and Project Management Option

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to use paymo. It helps us see how much time we are spending in multiple areas. You can create specific tasks, projects that hold the tasks, and clients that hold the projects. Paymo is great for all things time tracking and seeing how much time or budget is spent on tasks.

Nachteile:

I don't think there is anything I dislike. I have not run into a flaw. I don't like how it names task lists automatically "default task list" though.

A simple system

Vorteile:

A simple system for tracking time spent on multiple concurrent projects. The Kanban view lets me see tasks in order of priority.

Nachteile:

The cost of a second user (associate) is prohibitive to me as a sole trader.

Flexible and scalable project management solution

Vorteile:

I like the flexibility and how scalable the tool is which makes it possible to handle multiple projects.

Nachteile:

So far there are no significant issues with the tool and we are satisfied with the results.
