Helpful Strategic Planning Software

Kommentare: Grow has been one of the best softwares we chose to work with as an organization. It is user friendly to the point where any team member can go in and create dashboards to solve problems and understand how the company is working at any level of detail. The UI is smooth and easy to follow, and the customer support will help right away if there are ever any issues.

Vorteile:

Grow is a user-friendly, advanced tool that has allowed our company to fully understand metrics from every department. It is incredibly powerful in its ability to pull in data from every platform we use and compare the data against each other in every imaginable style of metric. The customer support is very helpful, and they will not only help you solve your problem, but advise on best practices - helping you learn how to work better in the software.

Nachteile:

The new feature releases they make are very powerful, however they require quite a bit of manual work to implement. We almost have to overhaul all our dashboards & datasets in order to utilize the new features.

Pros and cons of Grow

Get ready for a significant - more than 100% - price increase.

Kommentare: After paying Grow for professional services to help us migrate to a less buggy version of their system, I received an email from an account manager whom I had never met asking for a “check in” call. The call wasn’t a check-in. It was notification that Grow was raising our price more than 100%. I was told that Grow’s prices were actually going up more than 3x but that they would be doing us a favor by only doubling them.

My initial salesperson connected me with with Grow’s VP of Revenue. Identified in his professional email as “Mr. Revenue,” their VP spent the first 10 minutes asking me about my kids and family. He then offered me an 85% increase in price and a two-year contract term to “lock it in.” The reason for the price increase? To satisfy their investors. Needless to say, we’re no longer working with Grow. We found a more robust platform at a lower price.

Vorteile:

Easy to connect to various data sources.

Nachteile:

The platform has been very buggy, especially their spreadsheet functions. Moreover, they recently raised our price more than 100%. They know that the switching costs are high, particularly once you have invested the time to setup your metrics.

Simple BI tool that works

Vorteile:

Grow shines in its user-friendliness. I like its intuitive interface and easy-to-use features, which make it a breeze to connect to data sources, create insightful dashboards, and gain valuable insights, even for those without a strong technical background. Customer support has been responsive and they offer helpful consulting services to help add connections and build new dashboards.

Nachteile:

We have experienced some difficulties adding some data sources (particularly with spreadsheet functionalities). The onboarding process made us feel like we were on the clock, which is understandable but not ideal for the level of depth required to learn a new platform.

From a User Perspective

Vorteile:

It is easy to add data sets. Once data sets are added putting together dashboards is pretty easy.

Nachteile:

Some of the equations that are available do not respond as I would anticipate. Sometimes it takes a minute to figure out how the program is compiling the data. This may be a user issue, but still a problem that is experienced if the end users do not have part in compiling the data sources.

Nachteile:

I do not have issues and difficulties when using Grow. Grow has been sensational.

Grow Dashboard

Kommentare: Grow has given our organization greater visibility on what's important to our business. It elevated performance and helps us understand past, current, and future performance trends. This helps us model and predict future goals. We're excited to see all our data points in one place.

Vorteile:

Grow makes displaying data from multiple sources very easy. We have many different data points that stem from multiple locations and user interfaces, and Grow displays this data all in one place and on many different customizable dashboards for the different departments that may want to look at the same data, but in a different way or combination. The charts, run rates, goal trends, and simplification of data presentation has streamlined our operation and made all of us extremely competitive! It's great seeing our teams' performance lift simply by giving greater insight into the business in an easy-to-interpret interface.

Nachteile:

It would be a nice addition to layer in some gamification. This may already exist and I am unaware of it.

Time Savvy Data analysis Tool

Kommentare: My overall experience with grow was awesome. I used it to make lively dashboards and decks be it on zonal front or asm level, or store level, or product level.It helped me to save my time and enhance data analysis which resulted in drawing better insights.

Vorteile:

The user interface is so convinient.One can easily make dashboard and draw insights of large data.Connectors can be used to connect data and make your dashboard lively.

Nachteile:

The free version doesn't provided much services to users, also the forcasting can also be enhanced.Once forcasting and free trial services are improves it is really good alternative for any dashboard tool.

Data Analyst Review

Kommentare: I would say it's a fair experience overall. Needs to be more adaptable to data quantity when multiple connectors are in use.

Vorteile:

I mostly like the built in Transforms.

Nachteile:

I certainly think the connectors could be improved.

Great BI Tool

Kommentare: Once everything is up and going, it works great, just takes some time initially to set up.

Vorteile:

We were a somewhat early adopter of the platform, so I've seen a lot of change and improvement over the years from the software. They add useful features on a regular basis and have an amazing support team that is quick to help with any issues that arise. There is a large array of outside connections that can be pulled into the platform, making it easy to aggregate all of our data in one place.

Nachteile:

It can be a bit tedious to overhaul metrics once they've been created if we want to update them to use the newest features.

- Expensive for what you get- It's difficult to create dashboard, and build data-sets and instructions are not overly clear

Gem of a product

Kommentare: The product allows you to pull in data from different sources of your company (and combine them) and build visualizations. It also supports custom SQL queries on the data sources. It basically turns them into SQL tables and then lets you query them. They also support excel type features. The company is definitely early stage and has a bunch of things to iron out but I love the design the vision of the product and think there is huge potential here. If you are familiar with Salesforce and the Dashboard app, Grow is what that should be. It supports multiple users and custom permissions for each user. Which is great for sharing the dashboards and reports with Investors / Interested parties without giving them everything.

Vorteile:

The list is long, this product has so many nice features, I was told when we signed up that they have a 90+% retention which doesn't surprise me. I'd just give it a shot if your looking for dashboard, visualization software.

Nachteile:

There are some really basic things missing from this product that would make it a lot better. There is no "pivot table type" feature which for ETL is a basic feature and I'm surprised they don't have it. The application runs slow. Given the complexity of the visualizations and dashboards I'm not surprised, the amount of javascript that must be under the hood... But still its really frustrating to work with at times due to speed. For all the criticism salesforce gets its super fast and reliable and that just counts for so much.

Downturn in reliability

Vorteile:

Disappointed with Grow at the moment. We need support. Who is our account manager.

Nachteile:

Used to work well. Metrics not working on a regular basis then start working with no changes at this end.

Grow Makes It Easy

Vorteile:

It connects different data points very easily and its power is awesome. It creates a simple dashboard that makes viewing the data easy and clear. Anytime I've had a need, customer service is very helpful.

Nachteile:

I would like to see Facebook and Shopify specific pre-made templates. Maybe gather the top 10 dashboards most eccommerce and Facebook marketing owners want to see and then make an attractive dashboard that you can just plug n play. Then with 1 dashboard let the viewer be able to change what the date ranges are. Thank you for all the value you've created!

Good Idea Bad Implementation

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use and I like the variety of information it can present.

Nachteile:

I don't like the lack of interaction on a Grow Dashboard, there is no check mark or highlighting capability. I don't like that the refresh rate just gives up and doesn't let me force a refresh.

Best Data solution ever

Kommentare: Analyzing our marketing efforts across all of our main channels has been life-changing. As a company, we are making better decisions based on the data we pull together in Grow. Super easy to use and easy to learn.

Vorteile:

How easy it is to navigate and learn and the amount of support the Grow team gives to ensure that everything is set up correctly.

Nachteile:

I love just about everything about Grow -- I do wish there was a feature that keeps a dynamic list of company benchmarks that update in real-time and use that to be a comparison goal line in metrics.

Easy to use, great support

Vorteile:

I've never used a dashboarding tool before and with a little bit of training, I've found Grow to be a powerful and simple tool to use.

Nachteile:

A small nitpicky thing, when you create a new metric the charts don't snap to fit in a grid system - you have to drag all of your charts around to accommodate anything new or just drag your new one to the bottom.

Hands Down Best Decision

Kommentare: The benefits we have realized is the ability to more quickly identify shifts in business trends as a result of live data streams

Vorteile:

What I like most about this software is how easy it is to use and how Grow is constantly striving to make changes that add value to their clients.

Nachteile:

Honestly can't say I have ever had an issue that wasn't already being solved for by Grow's development team for a future release or wasn't something that their support team couldn't help me solve.

Easy to use, easy to understand

Kommentare: It has been positive and I would recommend it to other people who need a BI solution. It is easy for your frontline employees to use and the reporting is simple enough for pretty much everyone to understand.

Vorteile:

It brought all of the data together so we could see what was happening. We were able to plan better for what was going to happen that year. We could also collect resources to show our customers when needed.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the reporting would break and it would take several levels of support to fix it. We had former Grow employees and sometimes it would even take them a while to get the data fixed.

When the programs running well, great for use.

Kommentare: I like them for use when they are operational and the program isn't being bogged down by large user pools. But they need work on the back end with heavier duty use servers to insure the program doesn't crash as often when a group is using the same program.

Vorteile:

The software filters are great and easy to use. The dashboard for review of KPI's is very user friendly and makes quick work of reporting.

Nachteile:

The whole program has issues with functionality based on the size of their server. They have crash issues regularly when the server is bogged down due to heavy user traffic.

Kommentare: using it to pull data from our systems to help understand and identify certain things that our current in house systems do not display - allows us to plan and discuss things that are coming up without being blindsided by the lack of display of that info in our systems

helps me visualize things that my company's current systems do not display. helps make up for the lack of development internally.
