I like the ease of picking a template and customizing it into your website and then going live. Takes one or two days, fairly simple.

Nachteile:

It's complicated when it comes to custom styles and how changes on one page impacts others.

Not Soc-2 Compliant out of the box / Does not conform to industry standards for secure websites

Kommentare: False advertising. They sold us a secure website hosting platform and we learned only after doing all the work to build our website on their platform (WEEKS OF WORK) that we had to pay 49x the original price quoted in order to be permitted to add standard security headers required to make our site secure and sco-2 compliant.

Vorteile:

Once we got our site set up, updating text was incredibly quick and painless.

Nachteile:

We have our site on webflow and are undergoing a soc-2 audit accreditation process for our company. We have hit a snag because soc-2 requirements state we need certain headers on our website but webflow is actually blocking us from being able to add the required headers. Their rationale is that we have to upgrade to "enterprise lite" for $15k annually in order to add the standard headers. For context, we added these headers to our product websites within minutes and achieved A+ ratings. Webflow is actually blocking us from being soc-2 compliant unless we shell out $15k additional every year for the ability to add "custom" headers -- what they call "custom" are industry standard headers that any soc-2 compliant website needs to have in place. Our website is a 9 page static website with just text. I would not say Webflow is secure or soc-2 compliant given this experience, I would call them "soc-2 optional" - and only an option if you pay 49x the regular price for a basic website.

Awesome website designer software

Vorteile:

It's like drag-n-drop but you get all the control over the element. You can design from blank or you can start from any pre-designed templates. I use webflow on the daily basis to develop and maintain websites. It's so easy to make changes and publish them with just one click.

Nachteile:

Onde feature that I personally didn't like is, webflow doesn't have any hover interaction control on sliders. I mean if you're using a slider so on hover the slides will pause what if I don't want them to stop so that's a specific issue that I found so annoying.

If you're looking for something more special this is the tool for you

Mobile Apps Stay AWAY, webflow is useless to you

Kommentare: We built an entire website prior to learning that webflow is completely incompatible with deep linking to our app, LITERALLY OUR CORE PRODUCT. We had to build an entire service just to route around this issue. It cost us thousands of dollars and hundreds of man-hours to do properly. There are hundreds of users asking for this feature for years and it is literally one of the simplest aspects to modern web development and they have been silent on the matter.

Vorteile:

The user interface is easy to use if you don't need access to advanced tooling or highly specialized customizations.

Nachteile:

BEWARE: If you are building a website for a mobile or desktop app, Webflow is useless to you. You can not access basic aspects of the website, such as the well-known folder that you need to link to external applications in the OS. You can not deeplink using Webflow at all. Webflow might be a great tool for you if you are using it for another company/use case, but as a cross-platform developer, it is a dead end.

Easy-to-Use Website Builder

Kommentare: We've been using Webflow for a couple of years now. It is a great tool that people without coding experience can use to quickly design and launch various websites. We have primarily been using it for landing pages for the needs of the marketing team. As we're a startup, the dev team is often busy with improving the product, and the marketing team doesn't have its own web engineer. Therefore, tools like Webflow allow us to quickly prepare the assets needed for our marketing campaigns without being blocked by the projects of the dev team.

Vorteile:

As someone without any prior knowledge of Java and HTML, I enjoy being able to build my own landing pages for the needs of the marketing team without having to involve the devs too much, saving their capacity for higher priority items. I like that the changes are implemented real-time, so you can preview what the website will look like once published.

Nachteile:

The templates can be pricy, but it's not too much of an issue for us. The customisation only goes so far, too.

Maybe the part about the payment, is a little confusing, what we are paying for.

Best website builder ive ever used

Vorteile:

I've been designing websites for several years, using multiple tools but Webflow is by far the best tool. Webflow allows complete customization and never limits my website building creativity. It's reliable and easy to use.

Nachteile:

The collections are the most difficult to use and understand but once you get the hang of it - it's a great tool.

Good to go if you don't have technical knowledge

Kommentare: Its good if you just want to showcase your brand and be in market regardless of putting your efforts on seo and organic stuff.

Vorteile:

I am using web flow for my client. Its useful for a business if you don't want to work more on organic part and build a website with just drag and drop.

Nachteile:

It has very less functionality available when it comes to improving the SEO for websites.

Simple website creation for simple websites.

It is limited and so far different from other more popular products that it can be hard to learn at times or frustrating.

Kommentare: Really impressed with Webflow and now I am a full-time Web designer and Webfow Developer thanks to this amazing platform, which opened new doors for me.

Vorteile:

Easy to get started with and understand the nitty-gritty of the platform. Also the Webflow university courses and really amazing and help a lot even after the experience.

Nachteile:

A couple of pre-made elements are missing in webflow that I would really love to see. A pop-up window and much more.

Webflow is the Future of Website Design

Kommentare: Webflow has been an incredible experience for me. I've built half a dozen websites in Webflow with plans for more. I can't recommend this platform enough!

Vorteile:

Webflow is a solid website design platform. Every site I've built on Webflow has been incredibly fast. I attest this to the fact that when you drag and drop the widgets (text blocks, headings, sections, images, etc.) into the design that the right panel is helping you configure all of the CSS in a way that actually helps you [secretly] understand CSS better while making it SUPER easy to do. Generally, you won't have to worry about third-party plugins or anything like that with a Webflow site like you would with WordPress. That's because you can't "install" a plugin on Webflow the way that you would with WordPress. You can add custom code to the site and integrate third-party tools that way, but depending on your level of comfort with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, you may not ever need a third-party tool with Webflow.

Nachteile:

The widgets that you can add are very basic. I understand the point of this; they're giving you basic building blocks of a website in a sense. It's up to your creativity and skill to be able to design a site that looks great. This does make it harder for people coming from WordPress page builders like Elementor, Beaver Builder, Oxygen, etc., when you open Webflow's Designer for the first time and feel like all of the options you had in the past are missing. Knowing that you *can* build something as complex using these basic building blocks can be overwhelming when you aren't used to doing it this way, but looking through the templates and even purchasing a premium Webflow template can often get you all of the building blocks you were looking for.

Incredible Creativity Flexibility And Potential

Kommentare: My overall experience with Webflow has been nothing short of spectacular. The seamless integration of a no-code interface and the way Webflow writes code in the background is honestly a game changer for me. As a result of my limited coding ability, I was over-reliant on WordPress themes in the past but I would always need additional plugins to bring my ideas to life. As such my website would become increasingly bloated. Not having to worry about any of these issues is truly liberating and I honestly couldn't be happier with my decision to transition to Webflow.

Vorteile:

Webflow provides an incredible no-code user experience that has completely elevated my workflow! Everything is incredible well designed and implemented - from the WYSIWYG editor, to the fantastic Webflow University and the seamless deployment of code as you bring your website to life. Creating, maintaining and evolving my website/blog has never been more enjoyable and I finally feel as though I have total creative freedom! I recommend Webflow unreservedly.

Nachteile:

Having used Webflow for the better part of the year, I can honestly say that I don't have any major concerns with Webflow. There are many website developers who undoubtedly require deeper functionality but I've not run into any issues that have prevented me from realising the goals for my website. Webflow is a fantastic tool and I'm honestly excited to see how they continue to grow and evolve the platform.

Bad support and bugs

Kommentare: In two adjectives: BAD and ANNOYING, I regret it.

Vorteile:

In the beginning, I thought Webflow would really be the tool to help me solve the problems I was hoping to solve, but not, they created new ones that this time, without a website developer around one can't fix it. Then you ask for support help and the answer you get is "it seems you are asking for web development services, we don't offer that, please ask for help in the community". This has happened to me endless times in the last 2 years with LEGIT questions on bugs I found in this tool. I do NOT recommend that you use it or switch from WordPress or something else thinking you are really going to get the next level here, because you are not. I hope this feedback doesn't get canceled or blocked because it is real and can help other people to make their decision.

Nachteile:

Bad support No support for multiple languages Limit to 100 pages (then everything crashes) Bugs!!!!

Amazing Website Builder for Designers

Kommentare: We're currently a small team working on a product and we're not in a position to hire professional web developers to work on our website. That's where Webflow came to our rescue. The learning curve was there but over time, the nimbleness of the product helped us a long way.

Vorteile:

The features I loved about Webflow are: 1. The website builder is so easy to use. 2. The guided demo when you get in the first time is top-notch. It got me acquainted with the interface exceptionally fast. 3. It has an easy to understand pricing plan. For someone who is new to websites, the plan allows you to clearly understand how pricing works. 4. The template library and component cloning features are majestically good. We've been able to deploy complex animations and components simply by cloning them through other templates. 5. Lastly, Webflow has an amazing community that comes up with answers faster than their support team.

Nachteile:

There isn't much to dislike but: 1. The customer support could be faster, my empathetic and responsive. 2. If they could come up with a better way to optimise sites for mobile, it would be a gamechanger.

Build quick websites with advanced functionality

Kommentare: i was looking for a site builder which would be open enough to let us setup custom styled components and tweak prebuilt templates to our needs. And that it what Webflow has given us. Using a template as a starting point and building up from there.

Vorteile:

The possibility of adding custom functionality into the current and prebuilt templates makes using Webflow super cool. Most of the common parameters of a website can be modified only using menues and dgra-and-drop features. But that is not where it ends. You can add own scripts and classes if needed to really make the site shine and BE different from other website builders.

Nachteile:

The bulkyness of the interface is sometimes slowing you down and if you want to create a really simple site there are too many parameters to set. A simple one-pager turns into a day of work at the end. Because almost everything can be edited. Also image manipulation and optimisation is not the best. Repositioning an image in the background can turn into a nightmare + add the mobile and tablet breakpoints and it can be easier to code the site from scratch.

My Go-to NoCode Builder

The fact I can export my code from design and manipulate the generated code to meet my need has always been a catch for me from my first encounter to date. I don't stress too much about quick prototypes, it does it for me with convenience with the excellent drag and drop capability which is always improving. And I love the community and avenue to prove your expertise to the world, lastly Webflow University content is one of the best product content have come across for a handful of personal reasons, it's simply amazing.

Nachteile:

At this time there's nothing to like less about the solution.

Kommentare: Overall I'm completely in love with Webflow and its features also the community and the brilliant Webflow University videos are hilarious and educational at the same time. Kudos to the team at Webflow.

Vorteile:

The best way to build websites for sure. Being a designer as well I missed giving my designs the right development and Webflow came in handy to overcome many of those problems. Animations and everything is easy as well.

Nachteile:

I would love to see more built up components that can help speed up the process.

No-Code Web Builder

Kommentare: I really love the functionality of the drag and drop interface of web flow. It's very easy to understand and customize, I also like the ability to create customize interactions directly to the interface. I have been able to create my own personal site in a short period of time without a background knowledge in coding. If you want to have full control over the website but you are afraid or you don't have experience at all in coding, Webflow is a good choice.

Vorteile:

Webflow has a great community to help you understand the platform. Webflow University is a free resource that helps beginners to understand deeply its full functionality. It has free cloneable content that allows you to use and customize. You can customize your site design for different break-points (different device sizes) using Webflow's built-in responsive. You can publish your site anytime you want and access it in the web. It's basically a no-code environment which is pretty awesome for the beginners like me.

Nachteile:

I have been struggling with using CMS. It's very hard for me to understand it. Given the idea that it is one of the best features and a game changer of Webflow. I really do need to figure it out and understand it since they are providing informative tutorials.
