Achieve an equitable and sustainable resource management with Float.

Kommentare: Float enlightened us on how to have better planning and resources allocations. It allows us to first understand what is available to use and with such information, it becomes easy to plan our work based on what we have and what we are capable of. It allows us to institute responsibility among ourselves since it easy to know who is allocated to which job.

Vorteile:

Float excellent resources management features helps us to bring together everyone and everything in the organization under one central point and this allows us to plan our projects effectively and allocate duties based on ones capabilities. It has useful dashboards which keeps us updated on the project time and budget expenditure in real time.

Nachteile:

Working with Float has always been simple for me and i have no dislikes.

The best tool for our purpose, with some issues

Vorteile:

It gives a good overview over the planned projects, even if there are many employees in different teams. The planning, time tracking and reporting features seem to work in a stable manner. Sorting and filtering is done really well.

Nachteile:

There are some UX problems which are just plain weird. Scheduling time for an employee is tedious because the planned time affects the duration and vice-versa. We do our planning on a weekly basis instead of day-to-day, so we're often entering time planned like 0.4h/day which is more complicated than we would like it to be. There are some weird issues with the API as well, where some fields are not being applied correctly, or behavior changes with updates.

Production Management Software

Vorteile:

It's web based and easy to use. You can track based on projects or people.

Nachteile:

You cannot see the projection of the finance accurately as if team members forget to log their time. This is a big disadvantage and would be the reason why wouldn't recommend.

Good experience

Vorteile:

We were previously working on a competitive solution. Compared to other solutions on the market, Float is affordable and allows you to use the tool to its full potential. You're not drowning in a ton of functionality and that's what I liked about it. The ease of use for users and the ease of management for administrators is very satisfying.

Nachteile:

Perhaps the most annoying thing about Float is the ability to export a schedule for customers that is easy to understand. The statistics section could also be improved so that we can compare the time spent (and internal costs) against what has been sold (with the costs sold).

Perfect for our team

Vorteile:

Does what it says on the can! The app itself is intuitive, lightweight, and isn't bloated with features. It was easy to set up thanks to a detailed Help Center and a great onboarding team. The Float Community Slack channel is also an excellent resource.

Nachteile:

There are a few additional features I'd like, but the Float team is pretty transparent with their roadmap, so I'm confident most of those will be added in the coming months.

Task Scheduling Made Easy

Kommentare: I've been using Float for 3 years now, and my experience with it has been very positive. I use it every day, and it has made scheduling tasks and tracking progress so much easier for me. It’s a tool that’s become an essential part of my workflow, helping me stay organized and manage projects more efficiently.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, drag-and-drop scheduling, time tracking, clean interface

Nachteile:

Very basic Gantt Chart features, lacking options when it comes to exporting schedules

Float makes the most useful tool for planning and managing work resources.

Kommentare: It has been a very productive experience. Float provides us with an amazing platform that help us schedule and plan our team tasks based on our resources availability. It allows us to assign tasks amongst ourselves and schedule task timelines to keep check on time.

Vorteile:

Float has the best to use work scheduling tools that assist us to allocate tasks and create work schedules easily. It has an very user-friendly interface which allows us to comfortably make use of all the available functions. Float time tracking features keeps us always on the lookout on the time we are spending performing each tasks.

Nachteile:

Working with Float has been so seamless and there is no aspect about it not to like best.

Featureful, but lacking some that counts most

Vorteile:

The general UI is very nifty and responsive, and the scheduling view is great for visualising timelines. When managing a specific project, it's great for visualising timelines and tasks across the team.

Nachteile:

It lacks certain reports and integrations, most importantly in the revenue tracking and headcount allocation space. This means that we had to resort to "hacks" to record information, and then visualise this data elsewhere. We also had to use hacks on other softwares to set up the right invoicing / approval / billing processes.

FLOAT - EI

Vorteile:

minimalistic style makes it easy to identify different tasks and task blocks

Nachteile:

It's a bit basic in terms of what you can do with scheduling, could be more autonomous when assigning tasks in terms of setting your own colour permanently

It's a good tool for the purpose

Kommentare: I really don't have any strong feelings about float

It lets me log whether I worked today and correctly assign projects

Nachteile:

Slightly annoying process to log multiple blocks for the same day

Great for

Vorteile:

How visual and easy it makes talent scheduling for our client services business! It's really intuitive in terms of its UX/UI and means that the information is shareable and understandable by everyone. It's actually created positive reliance for the business where it's become the single source of truth about who is working on which project/ away on hols and for how long, so that teams can effectively plan the best use of people. Especially as we work on multiple projects under the same client account, the tags are super useful as while we might be working for Client X, project A and project C might have completely different briefs and people scheduled on them to complete.

Nachteile:

Probably some of the toggling features when you try to filter people across multiple departments.. It's not a massive issue, but one I am struggling to nail.

Great Software for Project Managers

Kommentare: Great tool overall to track hours and availability of teammates over multiple projects

Vorteile:

overall it is easy to use and has a lot of great quality of life features for our firm. It would be great to have the ability to integrate it with our financial software, but still a great tool for scheduling out projects and teammates.

Nachteile:

It would be great to have more integration options to make it more efficient for expense tracking.

Float Application - One of the best resource managment tool

Kommentare: Overall, it's a time-saver tool for our team in the organization as it centralizes a lot of task with transparency.

Vorteile:

One of the things I like best about Float resource management tool is that it allows you to centralize your people and project data. This means that you can easily see the availability, workload, and skills of your team members, as well as the status, budget, and timeline of your projects

Nachteile:

A few points on which float needs to work:- It has few API integrations that work- It has limited reporting and forecasting features or maybe I need to look into it myself.

Great tool to manage your team

Vorteile:

UI is excellent. I like it very much. I am very comfortable managing a team's work as well as my own

Nachteile:

In the past, I said that the logging button is hard to find on the navbar. Now this button is clearly visible. I'm grateful to Float for listening to customers

An easy to use resource management tool

Kommentare: It gives a good helicopter view for me and my team of the ongoing projects, up and coming projects as well as the capacity of each individual team member. Using the different colours also gives a good overview of the types of work that is going on.

Vorteile:

I like the idea of being able to colour code tasks, assign tasks to an email and define time requirements as well as project details within a task. I also really enjoy the reporting side of things.

Nachteile:

I would like it if Float offered the ability to change the title of some of the input box titles. For example, where it says "Project" I would like to be able to edit that to my own title.

Totality of possibilities

Kommentare: Overall very positive, def recommend it to other friends in the same industry

Sometimes I find it too difficult to set up new projects, that option could be less complex

Great employee scheduling/management tool

Vorteile:

I like that float allows me to track what my team is working on and when, as well as schedule them on new tasks easily and quickly as needed. It is also a great tool for ensuring your team isn't overburdened on any given day.

Nachteile:

I find scheduling different hours on the same project in a week (or longer) can be tedious so I usually just end up splitting the hours equally across the week (or longer). So it's a rough outline of what projects I/my team are working on, but it isn't exact.

poject management for retail media team

Kommentare: I can generate reports of time spent per specific task or project by my team. Can monitor current progress of the project, check which part of my project was bilable or not

Vorteile:

easy and fast to measure, user friendly and integrated with excel (csv)

Nachteile:

choosing reporting and many users using "and" app is crashing often, I need to refresh or roll down the screen againg, it's problematic

Positive resource management tool

Vorteile:

Easy to use and share across different users

Nachteile:

Nachteile:

When in the scheduling view, if the project name is long, and if a resource is assigned to it for a long period, on some weeks, the middle part of the project name is not visible. Only the first 15 or so and the last few characters are visible. This should be corrected. Also, I would like improvents in the view and functionality in the scenario when a resource is assigned to multiple projects on a single day or has a few hours off and not a full day off

Great Product!

Vorteile:

It's so easy to use. You can get started using it with little to no training. Being able to track time for multiple projects weeks ahead of time and creating reports to look at how much time I would be spending on each project weekly and monthly.

Nachteile:

I would love if it integrated with my outlook calendar or other calendars so I only had to update one.

Simple, visual resource planning tool

Kommentare: Simple and visual overview of what all expertise areas are working on, helps immensely to plan resource of my immediate team and coordinate / collaborate with other teams.

Vorteile:

In a consultancy environment ability to have a view of what the full team are working on is essential, helps with planning ahead and managing capacity

Nachteile:

It is difficult to get a few of how many person hours are assigned to a project/ task. This would be useful from a budgeting perspective.

Helps keep everyone on schedule and occupied with tasks

Vorteile:

Float keeps everyone on schedule and engaged with tasks. With the features it has, it enhances productivity and the organization level of teammates.

Nachteile:

Sometimes I experience random minor glitches that make me reload the schedule and lose filtering.

Good tool for team visibility and managing flex in projects

Kommentare: Essential daily driver for project management.

Vorteile:

Float is a super quick way to make sure everyone knows who's working on what and when. Easy to quickly re-arrange scheduled to adapt to changes in projects.

Nachteile:

Interface misses some simple things (e.g. why can't I right click to copy/duplicate a task?)being able to converse on a task and track billable/non billable time would probably mean we could ditch some of our other tools...

Easy to use and learn

Vorteile:

Float has been designed well to have a intuitive user interface which is easy it to pick up and learn. Additionally, it promotes a balance between home life and work life as time recording encourages me to to identify signs of overworking. Overall it helps create a healthier and happier work life.

Nachteile:

Time recording in general is burdensome or very administrative. I try to record my time at the end of each week as a habit but I tend to forget. I also receive several promotion emails from Float which is a bit annoying.
