User friendly, quick access to information
Kommentare: I use the software both as a user to do my expense reports and to approve and process the expense reports of other employees and the software is so user-friendly that requires little training to get familiarize with. It is a great tool to track the approval process of the reports and to make reports to see how much is being spent by employees and by departments. The only downside of the software is that it does not provide the total amount being spent in each account, you have to do it manually by downloading the report in excel format and arranging it yourself. Other than that, is a great software if you are looking to go paperless since it gives you the option to upload receipts straight from your phone or computer as an attachment.
Vorteile:
- Easy to use - Paperless option - Able to trace reports and download information to excel
Nachteile:
- Does not give the total per category/account

As for the total per account, if your profile set-up includes a tab called "Reports" then you should see it in the menu bar, then In the drop down there is a selection for "account summary" and "Category summary" that may provide what you are looking for, Do not hesitate to set up a time for a call at support@advalorem.ca

- We no longer need to have different excel spreadsheets for each provinces (for different tax rates), and we do not need to update some of the changing tax features, such as large companies.
- Reduce paper printed.
- Easier approval process
- Very good customer services
Vorteile:
- Ability to directly save invoices into the system from a camera - Automatic calculation of mileage - Calculation of taxes according to the applicable rules.
Nachteile:
- The speed of the system; when you click on a tab it takes a few seconds to get to the new page. - The mobile application could be more complete and allow to never need the computer.

Hello Francois, thank you for your response. We're glad you like the Canadian sales tax functionalities as well as the distance calculator, as these are core functionalities of Advataxes to properly claim recoverable taxes and lower the time required to fill out an expense report. As for your other comments we are also working on increasing the speed of certain features.

Good concept, still place for improvement

Vorteile:
Scanning of invoice right away. Easy place to store the invoice picture
Nachteile:
Unable to write a title to a scanned invoice for easy usage later on. Unable to forward a pdf invoice received in an email (from an hotel). No app on iPhone so not able to use without Internet access. Not able to start simultaneously two separate expense reports (for example, one for expenses on Company credit card and one for expenses made on personal credits card or else, like traveling kilometer expenses).

Great expense software!
Kommentare: I always get my proper reimbursement because of how Advataxes organizes my expenses.
Vorteile:
This software is very user friendly and includes all the options I need. The response from the team whenever I have contacted them is very fast and they fix any issues ro explain to me what is needed.
Nachteile:
I wish the "stay logged in" feature on the app actually worked.

Ease of use!
Kommentare: Really positive so far, been using it for five years (both the desktop and more recently the smartphone application). The software actually has shown minor improvements over the years but overall it has always been easy to work with.
Vorteile:
The ability to use an application on your smartphone to prepare and submit expense reports for the company is really helpful. You do not need to be close to a scanner for receipts any more or at your desktop/laptop.
Nachteile:
Sometimes the decimal points on the tax portion of the expenses do not work out quite well, from the automatic calculation. You have to play around with the amounts to get the total amount including tax to add up and become the same as the total on the expense receipt.

Hi John, thank you for your comments. We are happy that you like our new IOS/Android App. When there is a discrepancy between the pre-calculated tax and the tax on an invoice, we find it is easier to edit the tax amount while the "tax included" option is selected.

Facile et rapide à utiliser
Kommentare: Le fait qu'il est facile et rapide d'utiliser ce service me permet de gagner du temps et de m'assurer que le tout est rempli de façon conforme.
Vorteile:
La facilité et la rapidité de rentrer des rapports dans le logiciel me font gagner du temps. Le calcul automatique du kilométrage facilite les entrés de déplacement. L'application mobile permet de remplir les rapports rapidement et à tout moment.
Nachteile:
La seule chose était au début les documents / vidéos de formation qui était moins facile à trouver.

Much easier and faster than our old Excel spreadsheet
Kommentare: I don't use it very often but still saves a lot of time vs our old Excel spreadsheet.
Vorteile:
The way the forms were customised in our business, I have no second-guessing to do about things like taxes and currency. Also the approbation workflow works without the need to print or send any email, that's great.
Nachteile:
The fact that a report cannot be renamed after creation.

Vorteile:
I use the apps on my cell phone and I'm able to do everything I need to complete my expense.
Nachteile:
Something I would like to have in the future is to use the finger scan to open the apps.

Thank you, your comments are very much appreciated. As per your suggestions for accessing Advataxes with fingerprint technology, you should know that it is something that we are considering. In the meantime, you could check the "Remember Me" checkbox on the login page as long as your smartphone has a security access feature.

This just makes sense
Kommentare: Instead of waiting and submitting multiple expense reports at once, I do them right away and this relieves some of the stress associated with the overall process
Vorteile:
Going from an old system to this is like going from writing a check for groceries to swiping a debit card.
Nachteile:
It would be nice if the application version integrated with facial recognition on my phone as opposed to manually entering a password.

Hello Christopher, we are grateful for your appreciation of Advataxes. As for the password on your phone, you can use the "remember me" check box on the login page of the app. Yet, make sure you have a security lock on your device (i.e password, fingerprints, facial recognition ...)

Hello Pierre, thank you for your assessment. As for the drop down menus, you probably realized that you can access your historical expense reports including your KM incurred and expenses per category. We are pleased that you are finding these features easy to use.

Good sofware to share costs
Kommentare: Globaly, Advataxes was used to refund some travel costs and it worked pretty well.
Vorteile:
There's a lot of flexibility with the content of the product we are putting in an advataxe report, permitting to be more in line with the need of the people.
Nachteile:
The modification of the dates is hard to do and sometimes we need to cancel some entries.

Kommentare: It helps to make the work easier without the use of a printer. reduced the work load as cell phones are used by everyone all the time. Fast and very reliable.
Vorteile:
Can be used from anywhere when you have a cell phone with you. Fast and reliable. Good help from the support team whenever required.
Nachteile:
This software doesn't seemed to be designed well for the cell phones as the pages don't load/ appear appropriately while loading the software. It can be redesigned/ adjusted for the use of cellphones so that the pages will fit on the cellphone screen.

access "my receipt" is not fast enough cannot code the same receipt on different gl code, ex : hotel and restaurant can't drag and drop receipts received by email... needs to be saved and attached after. max of 25 lines / report

As for your comment relating to the speed of the "My receipts" tab, you should know that we are currently increasing the speed and you should notice a difference this month. Kommentare: The ability to enter the information and push to the next level for approval and processing eliminates paper and is one of the few instances where apps move us towards the ideal of a paper free office.

Friendly and not complicated to use. Also I like the idea to add my expenses daily to track them.

once a report is sent for approbation we can not get access to it anymore !

Thanks Kaoutar for your comments. You should know that once you send an expense report for approval, you can still access it, using the "status" drop down to the right and select "Pending Approval" , yet you can no longer modify it, unless it is sent back to you by your approver. the simplicity. I have a lot of expenses report to review and the system is so easy to use. The detail of the expenses is there and easy to open and approuve.

The time is takes to open up...maybe the size of the data base is important

Thanks for this review. You should know that we have on our "to do list" plans for additional reports, in the "Reports Tab" that is available generally to account administrators. Also Advataxes is a great enabler with the reports that can be exports to Excel, so that you can filter, yet we will add other goal oriented reports such as KM threshold per employee.
