We utilize Sign Up for volunteers to schedule themselves for events.

Vorteile:

Sign zip is great. The ability to publish a calendar and allow them to sign up for events that they are available for. You're able to create shifts and give them information in regards to the event. We love the abilities to automatically send out reminders to all those who sign up. Sign up truly makes it easy to schedule volunteers. Volunteer can also leave comments to ask questions. Overall Sign up is a great asset to any organization who utilizes volunteers.

Nachteile:

I cannot think of any cons of this software. It has truly streamlined our volunteer process and makes their experience easy and friendly. They have enjoyed the ability to plan ahead and feel honored in the process.

Covid Mass Vaccination Centres - Rural Wales

Kommentare: Amazing! It was easy to set up, relatively inexpensive, great customer service. Our volunteers loved the phone app. What a system! If we were short of a volunteer to cover a shift at a particular centre we sent a message to the apps, it pinged on hundreds of phones and usually someone offered to fill the slot in seconds. Ours was one of the first counties in Wales to meet covid vaccination targets - ensuring there were enough wayfinder volunteers at each site to help process people safely was crucial to that success, and Sign Up ensured we could do it. Thank you!

Vorteile:

Initially we tried tracking volunteer using spreadsheets and phone calls. Considering we had three vaccination sites across a rural area and a a very ambitious programme to vaccinate the population in a short timescale and had many hundreds of volunteers, we needed a system which offered effective scheduling, rapid communication and good reporting systems. Sign Up was the ONLY commercially available system to offer this for volunteers - HR software might have worked but was too expensive as it contained lots of features you do not need when mobilising volunteers.

Nachteile:

Nothing! The software is perfect for the application it is designed for - mobilising and managing volunteering!

Another Software to Get People to Sign Up for stuff

Kommentare: Used Sign Up for alot of stuff until I discovered Sign Up Genius. Sign Up doesn't have the bells and whistles, including collecting payment, like Sign Up Genius does. Sign Up would be great for the most simplistic of sign up lists; nothing to big or with too many selections/options to pick from. Wish the website site had more of a design. It's rather blank looking with just words,, not very appealing. But the functionality ultimately does what it says it will do (and for FREE) which is good all around.

Vorteile:

You can easily transfer an event from one person to another person to be the owner of.

Nachteile:

It doesn't have many special features and setting up repeating items is not as simple as it could be

Great Tool for Easy Virtual Organizing

Kommentare: I will definitely use Sign Up again and tell others who may be looking for a tool like this.

Vorteile:

Sign up was a great find. It was easy to set up, and none of my students had difficulty signing up. I liked also how it sent an email reminder.

Nachteile:

I never ran into difficulties when I used it.

Got Conferences?

Kommentare: I have used SignUps for several years for Parent Teacher Conferences. I found it easy to set up time slots and send a link for my parents. The parents were able to easily go on and choose their spot. I also liked that reminders were sent out.

Vorteile:

Signups was easy to set up for Parent Teacher Conferences. I liked that you could choose how to send the link to parents after it was set up.

Nachteile:

Sometimes I got lost trying to go back after I set it up to double check my work. However I would find my way.

Makes Managing Volunteers Easy!

Kommentare: It's been fun & easy to use! I would recommend it for anyone managing volunteers!

Vorteile:

I love SignUp! It's been a life & time saver when it comes to managing my voulnteers. All I need to do in set up the volunteer spots and send a SignUp generated link via mail! No more fielding multiple phone calls to schedule volunteers for an event! Super easy!! I also love the app!

Nachteile:

No downside. The free version is somewhat limited, but if you're willing to pay a monthly fee, SignUp has all the features you could ever need!

Great Product, reduces administrative burdens

Vorteile:

Members of our team can sign up for assignments online. Options are available to allow members to view others signed up. The report generator is very helpful. This product has streamlined a process which in the past was prone to many errors and much effort. One of the best online support teams.

Nachteile:

None that I can think of. If an question arises it is quickly answered by the support team.

Kommentare: My overall experience with SignUp has been great. When I do have a problem with SignUp it is because I forgot a step but then got set strait, so it is all good to me.

Vorteile:

SignUp allows the organization to list all the positions, time slots, etc., for an event and once posted, this allows those to whom the information was sent to sign up if they can and want to. This cuts down on time spent calling or emailing individuals asking for their help.

Nachteile:

I can not say that I have any Cons; I am sure there may be some for an organization that uses the system on a regular basis and that puts together larger venues. But for us, we love SignUp and recommend it to others all the time.

SignUp.com made planning our even much easier

Kommentare: This was our first time using this tool, and everything went very smoothly. It was helpful to have automated reminders, and an email summarizing who had signed up for each item. Our event was a great success!

Vorteile:

The automated communications are tremendously helpful!

Nachteile:

It was a bit challenging to order the items we were requesting people to bring. I had to name the categories alphabetically.

Great Volunteer Sign Up and Management

Vorteile:

I could see all the contact info of all our volunteers so if I needed to contact or change someone's duties or email the entire volunteer team, I could do so.

Nachteile:

I found it a slight learning curve to understand the platform but it worked at the end for us.

Facilitating Foster Homes for Animals During Pandemic

Kommentare: The Humane Society of southeast Wisconsin issued invitations to animal foster families to use Signup.com as a placement/matching tool for caregiver families and animals in need. With a recent, significant growth of participants and available animals, Signup.com has been an essential tool. We utilize many of the features to provide families with details such as animal age, number of animals, medical needs, anticipated recheck, and environment necessary for fostering. The system was put to the test when pandemic began. WHS was able to place a phenomenal number of animals in caregiver homes in a very short period of time, virtually emptying the shelters and ensuring animals would not be stranded in an institution for the duration of lockdown. A win for all!

Vorteile:

Signup.com allows me to preview animals in need of foster care to make a good match between my caregiving abilities and the animals' needs. There are photo options, care notes, and places to include specific data. Real-time updates eliminate double signups of the past, and prevent disappointment. Users can even make requests for transfer and specify their preferred date, time, and location preference.

Nachteile:

Users cannot access Signup while administrators are updating the entries, which is a minor inconvenience and does not detract from the overall ease of use.

Needs improvement

Kommentare: My overall experience has been good, however I think there are many ways this website could function better.

Vorteile:

I like that it is simple enough to understand quickly.

Nachteile:

There is no way to go in and edit a shift on the volunteer calendar. If I need to switch someone's shift, I have to delete their shift and then add them back in. It is also complicated to not allow someone to edit their shifts on the calendar. I had to go through several different steps before I figured it out. I also wish there was a way look up a volunteers shifts by searching their name.

SignUp.com Saves My Sanity

Kommentare: I love SignUp.com! I coordinate volunteers of our local animal welfare agency and low-cost spay/neuter clinic to work our tent at the county fair. With 128 volunteer hours to fill, I know from experience that trying to fill all the slots is a nightmare without you guys. Thank you! You help me keep my sanity during the 9 days of our fair.

Vorteile:

It was easy to upload volunteers from my contact list. Reminders are sent out automatically so I don't have to do it. I can see who is reading the emails I send. The messages sent using SignUp.com look much better than just sending a plain email. I am able to use sign-ups from previous years' events so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. Just update with the current calendar.

Nachteile:

If I haven't used SignUp.com in a while, it takes me a few minutes to remember how to maneuver the program but once I get back into the rhythm of it, I'm good to go.

Vorteile:

Sign Up is relatively easy to use, but mostly it is such a time saver when trying to schedule an event with many people. At my school we have used it for parents to sign up for Parent/Teacher conferences. It saves all the back and forth of letting parents know when you are available, and letting them choose from what you have posted. I used it this past summer to schedule tutoring sessions. Instead of rattling of what days and times I was available (which would change every time someone signed up) they could just go in and check. Then Sign Up sends out emails both to the parents and myself a few days prior as a reminder. I have recommended a Sign Up to many other teachers, but nearly anyone could make use of it for a variety of tasks.

Nachteile:

Only at the beginning, I was a little lost in finding my way around the site, but the help was quick, personal and very helpful in putting me on track.

Great experience!

Kommentare: I’ve used SignUp to organize the appointments for my PTCs. I felt that it made everything run smoothly and that it took so much off my shoulders. I like the updates it sends to me as well as the reminders to the parents. It made a very tedious job run much more smoothly.

Best Volunteer Management Tool!

Kommentare: We no longer use paper sign up sheets!!

Vorteile:

SignUp.com makes managing all of our church volunteers incredibly easy. The best part is reminder emails are sent directly from them so we don't have to worry about it!

Nachteile:

SignUp.com does automatically sign people up to receive a weekly news email and users have to be sure to un-select the box so they don't receive this. This can be confusing to some users and some others don't want to receive such things!

Parent Teacher conference Go To

Kommentare: I use signup every year for parent conferences, and love it! It is easy to set up, easy to navigate, and parents find it very convenient. The reminders to parents and updates to teachers are also helpful.

Vorteile:

It's very easy and quick to set up for conferences. It keeps me updated on all activity or on any changes, and provides an organized printout of the event's families and time slots. It gives parents flexibility in choosing a time slot and in changing their time slot.

Nachteile:

I have no complaints on this product. There were no glitches, and it worked seamlessly for the event.

Awesome Service

Vorteile:

Using SignUp is really easy and makes organizing an event so much simpler! In the past, I had people RSVP by e-mailing me, then I created a spreadsheet of who was coming and what they were bringing, but SignUp does all that for me. No more scrolling through e-mail to make sure I didn't miss one.

Nachteile:

None, really. I could pay for all the bells and whistles, but I don't need them. The basic service is all I need.

We use it for our volunteer sign up for events!

Kommentare: It's quick, easy, detailed, and easy to share, access and edit. I am so thrilled to be able to use this software, it helps is tremendously when recruiting and setting up volunteers for our events.

Vorteile:

We tend to have the same events every year so being able to copy then tweak the details the following week is amazing! The details, including dates, shift time, and descriptions do a great job of setting out volunteers up with all the info they will need pre-event. I like the export feature so I can go in a get all the details and set it up how I like in Excel.

Nachteile:

We tried the updated version and we were unable to make the check in work for us for large groups - there was no easy way to edit if people brought more or less than the amount they said. I brought this to the attention of their Support Team and they were SO understanding and tried to give suggestions and be accommodating. They showed appreciation for the constructive criticism and stated they would work to improve this feature in the future.
