My opinion

Kommentare: I'm very happy, never run in any error and the agent program is constantly updated

Vorteile:

ActivTrak is a powerful tool for businesses. You can watch live the efficiency of every employee, if and were their are wasting their time on internet and very discreet. You have all the data in a simple web page with a lot of option and statistics for every user.

Nachteile:

The first time you login in the dashboard, its a little weird and you need some time to find everything, how to activate account and change the settings. The installation while is very fast and easy, sometimes is blocked from antivirus programs

ActivTrak - Excellent software to aid in compliance and InsiderThreat

Kommentare: So far, we've been thoroughly pleased with the software.

Vorteile:

ActivTrak gave us further insight as to what our staff really does throughout the day, applications they run, and aid with compliance.

Nachteile:

Categorizing sites and applications takes a bit, but I don't see another way around it.

Think Twice

Kommentare: We started the partnership (well we thought it was a partnership) in 2020 when our entire workforce went remote for Covid. We intended to use for productivity coaching but it became too cumbersome to be of any real value. The system never seemed to work just like it should and customer service was awful or none existent. We made the decision to leave for several reasons and even with the issues in the platform and poor customer service, they insisted on holding to the year contract they lock you into. I requested a partial refund for the remaining time and they ran me in circles for 8 full weeks (probably hoping i'd just go away) before they finally got on a call with me, just to try to upsell me more and waste my time. They say they care about a partnership but they have the legal right so no dice. I understand we have a contract but we are always willing to work with our own customers in individual circumstances and I believe we had a strong case to get a partial refund. If you look, they do an exceptional job with their digital marketing to not allow any reviews on most platforms... only on places they can pay to put their fake reviews in and real customers can't comment. That is not the practice of an honest company to me and doesn't let the consumer do real research. There are other platforms out there who do the same thing, while their UI may not be as pretty, their service and functionality ore than make up for the visual shortcomings.

Vorteile:

When it worked, could view live screens or screenshots to use for productivity coaching as well as catch behaviors like job searches early.

Nachteile:

Customer service was atrocious. Agressive with you to get you to buy /renew but abandon you as soon as you pay. Product never worked like it should. Alerts constantly broke. System was agonizingly slow to the point it was almost unusable unless you wanted to pay a full time person to review. The data classification system was not smart - you would expect once you classify a URL as one thing it would remember it but instead had to spend hours each week re-classifying the same thing over and over just to have the data show up correct to be able to coach the team. If you want any of the features or reporting that woudl actually maybe be helpful to give you insights and save you time... expect to shell out more money for each one.

Tracking and Visibiltiy

Kommentare: Activtrak is a great tool. During the pandemic it gave us visibility to user activity and continues to assist us daily in process improvement

Vorteile:

Activtrak gives management and users the ability to see what they are viewing as well as KPI Reporting to track productivity of users so that evaluations can be made of how to improve a user or particular positions productivity.

Nachteile:

Inability to import activtrack users. Upgrading to a newer version sometimes loses the continuity for a person.

Workforce analytics

Vorteile:

Ease of deployment, intuitive dashboard, accurate analytics and reporting

Nachteile:

Some reports and dashboard takes time to load, silent deployment could have been better

Definitely worth a luck.

Kommentare: Very positive, covers all the expected functionality of a product like this with some good additions.

Vorteile:

The software is easy to configure and setup. This made it quick and simple to roll out to all of our users quickly and efficiently.

Nachteile:

You can get a few false positive warnings and the interface in some places is not always intuitive.

Excellent monitoring and tracking tool for remote teams

Kommentare: Overall experience is very positive. I can counsel team members by providing real time data to coach for improvement.

Vorteile:

Ability to track so many things, websites, utilization, productivity decline, high passive time. I am able to see whether the team is actively using tools provided for workflow. I can also verify if team members are using unauthorized websites such as social media sites.

Nachteile:

Nothing come to mind at this time. I am getting everything I need.

Activtrak recommended

Kommentare: Okay overall I just wish the website was easier to use.

Vorteile:

It does the job and I'm able to see when employees are working

Nachteile:

Set up is confusing especially if you have to reinstall, as is the website. I wish I could view the screen without additional fees.

Useful Tool

Kommentare: Good tool to monitor remote workers. Can be a little time consuming to dig down into reports to get the detailed info that is sometimes needed but overall it is helpful.

Vorteile:

The ability to see what our employees are working on.

Nachteile:

The reporting is sometimes a little difficult to decipher.

Great Metrics with enough detail to clearly see an employees day, how they are working, how much time they are spending on each tasks, etc.

Nachteile:

Don't have anything I an see as a con at this point.

Great way to monitor employee/team computer activity

This tool allows me to track my trainees' computer activity during training

Nachteile:

I have nothing negative to say about this tool

Vorteile:

There is really are no pros to this software.

Nachteile:

I would not recommend ActivTrak to my worst enemy. Good luck trying to cancel it when it does not work for you. I tried cancelling it and they wouldn't so I cancelled the card and now they are trying to send me a bill for a month I was not even using the software. Finally had to turn them over to our legal counsel today.

Activtrak Review

Kommentare: It's been an overall great experience, their support is amazing and fast at replying, the agent does what it advertises and it has helped us greatly as of late with all the remote work being done.

Vorteile:

What we like the most is the fact that we can categorize activities as productive or unproductive, this helps us have a more accurate report when checkin out productivity and keeps us well informed of which users are accesing unproductive websites or applications, also the fact that we can customize the schedule in which the agent keeps track of activities since a lot of our employees are woking from home using their personal devices and they can use them withough worries during their free time.

Nachteile:

The installation process can sometimes be difficult as some firewalls and antivirus softwares block the agent from recording any activities, this means that even if the agent is sucessfuly installed we still don't get any records from it on that particular computer, it can be easily solved by adding exceptions to the software but not everyone is comfortable doing so since some are using their personal devices.

Best Organisation Productivity management

ActivTrak are very useful for our company to track our employees productivity and system activity.

Nachteile:

Based on our usage and experience there was no least about ActivTrak

Features are impeccably accurate and in line with the advertised elements

Vorteile:

The ability to monitor employees’ and their workstations through a single interface is an upgrade in my work area. Time tracking and productivity analysis have helped me greatly in my work and are currently my favorite features out of all the great features of Activtrak. I have tried other software with similar promoted features but it slows the system down, with ActivTrak, the system works well and there seems to be no lag period. It is great.

Nachteile:

A live feed of the employees’ screen is not available. It would be a great addition if features include live feed because as of now, screenshots are just available.

This is great software for the monitoring

Kommentare: ease of use and the reporting functionality is great, especially the full audit log of what has been happening on a computer. it even catches title bar data of when users are in incognito or private mode. this is extremely helpful, especially when you have setup screen grabbing and alerting when you have areas of concern that a member of staff is doing something inappropriatre.

Vorteile:

Its not a cheaper solution but it is a better solution if you want more detail into what your employees are doing. It really made the owner cringe at the level of detail we can see what the employees do, he almost thought it was too invasive

Nachteile:

We had some employees who were consistently missing deadlines that they shouldn't have been missing. ActivTrak enabled us to efficiently identify and address some of the employees' problematic behaviors. It worked so well that I actually installed it on my own computer to help me identify areas for improvement.

With some product development, it could become a valuable product for basis of billing

Kommentare: I tried it for a few days, then gave up as it is not meant for what I wanted to use it for.

Vorteile:

I liked that it really did track all of my computer usage seamlessly.

Nachteile:

I found the way to categorize different applications a too cumbersome on one hand and lacking in sufficient detail on other. I wanted to use this software to accurately track how much time I spend on each customer so I would have a proven basis for billing. It is not what it is originally meant for, but the billing activity tracking apps available require too much constant involvement and I hoped to get past that by tracking all my activity automatically and categorizing it to actual projects for billing. However, trying to categorize just few days of my computer usage, it was not just feasible idea. For example, I have gmail address for my personal as well as two different customer accounts, but there was no way to categorize them differently (hint - Title in web browser is different, but this cannot be used as basis for automatic categories).

Intuitive and Easy to use, Among the best

Kommentare: I travel a lot due to my work profile, Activtrak makes my employees monitoring easy.

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

could have been more economical for paid versions. to check out pricing you have to create an account.

Active Trak has been a good basic app. It does not do the things we want it to do overall.

Kommentare: Being able to register quickly

Vorteile:

That it was available when we needed it. We needed an application that we could use almost right away. Active gave us that option.

Nachteile:

Support, I also do not like that we still are unable to do things we wanted to do from the beginning 3 years ago.

ActivTrak is very intuitive and easy to use with minimal learning curve or training.

Vorteile:

I like the fact that ActivTrak is very intuitive. The UI is well designed and the screen flow is superb. The metrics are spot on. ActivTrak enables managers or business owners to get more insight into their user's productivity level.

Nachteile:

I have been using ActivTrak in a trial environment for 6-8months now in a productive environment. My main gripe is ActivTrak should allow for more than 3 users in the free/trial version. I also find it hard to delete users from ActivTrak after you've remove their profiles from the local PC; this appears to be a bug in the software.

Absolutely great!

Vorteile:

The ease of use is the most beneficial thing about ActivTrak. The way that we can see time-shots of each occurrence/event is exceedingly important.

Nachteile:

I think if there was a way to hide the service a little better it could be even better.

Modern solutions for modern problems

Kommentare: Very positive.

Vorteile:

It was simple to implement and provides a summary of the information we need with the ability to go deeper when required.

Nachteile:

We can't store the data in our own location (cloud or otherwise)

Vorteile:

Easy to install Unobtrusive and almost completely invisible to the end user Compatible with antivirus and other security applications It does what is claims to do

Nachteile:

Limited customization for enterprise type deployments, for example I would like to capture screenshots more frequently but at lower resolution No keystroke logging - I understand the philosophy behind not doing it, but enterprise customers need this functionality

Useful app for every company who wants to keep productivity on track.

Kommentare: Improve my team productivity by implementing secure ways for them to navigate and work based on their activity.

Vorteile:

You can try it first and decide if it is the proper solution, and it allows you to configure it and setup permissions. It is very useful.

Nachteile:

Once you uninstall it, and install it on other machines it will not bring the screenshots. The settings menu could be more user friendly and the stats page should allow more detailed reports.
