Kommentare: Excellent.... just easy to use, effective software. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] at Support is a great help also. Very helpful and responsive.

Vorteile:

The speed at which it take your PDF file... and in a few mins your publication could be live online looking glorious and interactive... literally 5mins from start to finish.

Nachteile:

Has occasional bug errors... but has never stopped me making a successful publication. Hopefully will be fixed in future software updates.

A solid option for budget-conscious marketers

Kommentare: Flip PDF is allowing us to transform large PDFs into professional, web-friendly eBooks while staying within our allotted marketing budget.

Vorteile:

I like that the software is not subscription-based. We don't do a ton of eBooks, so this is a great option for limited-budget marketing team.

Nachteile:

It took quite a bit of trial and error before I figured out how to format the book. Once I did, it worked fine, but future versions would benefit from a more user-friendly interface.

Every one of my eight inquiries was resolved within two hours, often even faster, with detailed explanations accompanied by both images and text. I have to specifically mention Choco, the service representative, who was simply exceptional. This is exactly what I envision when I think of effective online communication. Choco surpassed any chatbot by responding personally, helpfully, with understanding, and with a level of expertise that made all the difference. Vorteile:

I recently had the pleasure of trying out FlipBuilder, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The software transforms PDFs into "real" books – yes, real! They resemble physical books with simulated page-flipping, complete with a table of contents and bookmarks.

Nachteile:

Like least? - sorry, nothing to tell. I was able to learn it quickly and if I had read the tutorials better, I could have learned it with SUpport.

Continuing Audio Challenges with this User-Friendly Multi-MediaSoftware

Kommentare: Technical support from Hong Kong has been frustrating - very small window of awake time for sending and receiving messages immediately because of the time zone difference. The person assigned to my account has not been able to solve my audio challenges on her own and we have been held up on publishing our very first Flip PDF for [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] because of this. She should have had ready answers to my questions AND they should also be FAQ, e.g., should be stated that the audio format must be mp3 -- it took me a good week to get this vital information when I was using another extension. Then I did not get a clear answer to how to assign audio variably to single and double pages -- another FAQ should state that sound must be attached to single or double pages for the whole Flip book and user cannot mix single and double pages. I had to figure this out myself. Also no clear answer as to when Flip PDF will get updated to include a download function. I'm still waiting for a response to my query about the alternative for Flipbook sales when there is no download function. Access to a link is not a viable option for unique access to a publication. I am dissatisfied that no way to contact the supervisor or administrator for Flip PDF either by email or phone when the person assigned to me is clearly out of her depth. The last message she sent me was a screenshot for setting the playback function to zero, which is not even available in my version.

Vorteile:

Flip PDF meets the needs of our multi-media niche publishing company dedicated to the healing arts because it allows integration of text, audio, video, and hyperlinks into a flipbook. Also, user-friendly in that a moderately computer-savvy person can create a Flipbook without hiring technical help.

Nachteile:

The integration of the sound files has been unreliable. The playback function (number of rotations set to 0) worked on a trial file but when I published the final for publication under the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] primatur, it repeated after every page.

Professional Qulity

Kommentare: We needed a cost-effective solution for making interactive documents for families. This was the perfect solution. The software provides outstanding, professional results.

The user experience feels antiquated - the mac version I hav of Flip PDF Pro looks like it's from 15 years ago and is difficult to navigate. The user manual doesn't include all of the answers that I needed upon trying to make my first few books and I had to figure it out myself which took a lot of time.

Much better than Joomag!

Kommentare: I was a longtime user of Joomag and had a horrible experience with them, forcing me to look elsewhere to publish my magazine. Flip Builder was a one-time purchase...I own the software and am no longer held hostage by Joomag's horrible customer service and monthly fees. I am finally FREE! I am thrilled by not having the huge financial commitment and BETTER features. It is virtually identical to Joomag in appearance, except the software is dependable. I also can forgo the negative, frustrating interactions with Joomag management when their lower level reps can't troubleshoot software problems. No more hold-ups while waiting for inexperienced customer service reps to screw up my account either. I am now master of my own domain and I am breathing easier now due to the switch-over.

Vorteile:

Easy to use -- actually offers more features than Joomag. Very cost effective. Does not hold you hostage like Joomag does. I was a longtime user of Joomag and found them to be a racket and to have unreliable software and snooty tech support. They also don't keep their agreements for the program you subscribe to. With Flip Builder you own the software outright so you are not beholden to expensive monthly subscriptions and can drive the traffic to your website. As the owner of a magazine, I am thrilled to get out from under "Big Brother" Joomag.

Nachteile:

Slow tech support and you are dealing overseas. There is more formatting to do and it does take a bit to get the hang of the software.

We've been using this product for many years. Still does the job well.

Nachteile:

It takes a lot of time to get to all the settings and features. Development could be a bit faster. I don't need any Flash support anymore, for example.

Digital booklets going worldwide

Kommentare: I have been very happy in general - and a lot of people are delighted with the idea of a Flip Book. It causes a lot of good reaction.

Vorteile:

The software has been easy to use to make a Flip book - It did everything that I wanted to achieve except I have not been able to change the order of the books in the Bookcase. I know you can change by date or by name but that really does not help.

Nachteile:

As far as I can see if someone is in a place where the internet is not to strong it takes a fair while for the pages to download. Often so slow the person gives up waiting. I choose medium size when making the files to get a balance between clear images and size of files but I note that people are having to wait to long for the first page to appear.

Use of Flip PDF as a Youblisher replacement

Kommentare: Replacement of Youblisher to make pdfs on a single website [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] more accessible.

Vorteile:

Fairly straightforward to use and allows the published result to be stored on the website, future-proofing it. This is quite different to Youblisher, which was solely cloud based and when they went out of business the website was impacted.

Nachteile:

I could not get it to work on an old laptop used for most of the website design, so have to dedicate a different laptop as my Flip PDF generator. Regarding branding, I am unsure if the software is Flip PDF or Flip Builder, because the customer sees Flip Builder.

Flip PDF Took our Catalogues from Print to Online

Kommentare: We wanted a way to send our product catalogues to dealers in a professional way, versus scrolling through a .PDF. Flip PDF offered us a way to accomplish our goal. Bonus: Anyone who receives our online catalogue is impressed with the product.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use, and the final product looks very professional. The result is fantatsic!

Nachteile:

A little confusing where the final product is saved and how to access and share the catalogues once they were saved.

Loving It!

Overall a great program that I have moved over from 3dIssue to. Like the one time cost instead of monthly recurring billings, the features are all there, and I'm sure I'll be finding more functionality as I grow with the software.

Nachteile:

Having a couple issues with some specific pdf files from the past, that we haven't solved yet but I'm confident that we will get the last issues to convert to their format.

Bad documentation/mediocre customer support

Kommentare: My first contact with customer support was prompt, but their answer did not fix my problem and then I have had no reply to my follow-up question.

Vorteile:

It has some nice features. Average ease of use.

Nachteile:

Only way to link to the flip book is to have it on their server. Can't get a dropbox link to work. Documentation is sometimes not readable--either it was written in Chinese and then translated or the person writing had little knowledge of English.

Best option for us among all the products out there

Kommentare: I'm satisfied with our purchase and we'll continue to use the product for years to come.

We compared several competing products out there and we found Flip PDF to be the most economical solution for what we were trying to achieve. Flip PDF had the all the features we need at the best price.

The software does crash once in a while not sure why.

Kommentare: so far so good. i love the exe file of my book.

the end result of my 841 page book looks fantastic. works on every pc its installed on and feels like a real book. love it.

Nachteile:

i am having some problems with the pages needing reformatting on the tablet or ipad versions when I save a mobile version of the book.

A more professional look for virtual catalogs

This is a much more polished way to virtually present catalogs, booklets, and pamphlets. With the animation and audio it's a vast improvement over the standard pdf.
