We can also integrate to the API to easily see who has free time and surface this through other channels. It also allows the whole company to get a view on who is free and when.
I think I'm missing the possibility to attach documents to tasks.

Resource Guru Gets the Job Done Easily
Kommentare: Easy way to keep track of resources for scheduling, planning and project purposes
Vorteile:
Ease of use and simple , effective visualization of scheduled resources
Nachteile:
Needed to integrate with Harvest to get full picture of time actually spent on projects rather than just time scheduled

An adequate calendaring tool for resource management
Kommentare: We use Resource Guru to manage the utilization/booking of our research facilities. This works well for us as we have a small number of facilities we manage. I cannot offer a recommendation for/against this project for large numbers of resources (>10) as it might be cumbersome at that point. For our limited resource pool, it works well.
Vorteile:
The interface is simple to use and understand with respect to resource availability and conflict. It serves its purpose well.
Nachteile:
New feature rollout is buggy. When I switched between the "beta" ("new") experience back to the classic, I received a nagging email from the company telling me I had recently logged in using the "classic" experience and it would eventually be discontinued, and that I should try out the "new" experience. This product is basically a shared calendar, and while it offers reporting that is a hybrid somewhere between Microsoft Outlook and Project, it's a bit too pushy with respect to new features.

Hi Steve Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on Resource Guru! I'm sorry that you felt our message regarding the new schedule was a bit pushy or potentially buggy. We needed to share this message because the old schedule will shortly be retired, and we didn't want people to be taken by surprise by that. As long as you click the cross to close the message, it won't reappear for you. I also wanted to take the opportunity to reassure you about the new schedule. It's a vast improvement on the old one - it's been completely rebuilt from the ground up to provide lightning fast scheduling, infinite scrolling, lots of enhancements including elastic overtime, and it's just as stable for incredibly large teams as it is for very small ones. Manage your Resources with Guru
Kommentare: Honestly, despite being a work tool, sometimes it felt like a game and it is incredibly satisfying to use it. Very feel softwares feel that intimate or that nice to use.
Vorteile:
Fore forecasting tools offered by Resource Guru are fantastic. It is easy to use and it is very interactive.
Nachteile:
It just gets to a point where if the business grows too much, it feels like Resource Guru isn't able to handle it as well as some of the competitors. The Scalability they offer could be better.

Resource Guru is a very easy to use and intuitive tool, nice UI, easy filtering, able to see both planned and actually spent time on projects with easy reports on billable utilization. Everything a small to mid, even greater teams in number need for a hassle free planning and reporting on projects.
Nachteile:
nothing so far. The tool has delivered up to team's expectations so far.

It's quick to learn and has powerful tools, is simple to use and integrated quickly into our existing work practices. All our staff are adept at using it and it helps us keep on top of resources, projects and workflow. It is good value for money.

You mentioned that there's no way to indicate when a job is ready, so I wondered if you were familiar with the difference between confirmed/unconfirmed bookings? If a booking is not yet ready to be confirmed, it can be added as a tentative booking, or added to the waiting list, or it could be pending approval. When bookings are ready to be confirmed, just change the tentative status, approve/decline it, or move it off the waiting list. Vorteile:
I like that I can see my coworkers calendars and what office they are working from. Also get to see what projects they are on and their typical working hours.
Nachteile:
Maybe the layout design could be a little better sometimes it is hard to navigate to certain menus

You can block out your time for projects and it shows your capacity level, so you don't get assigned more tasks. We can also use it to allocate platforms and licenses for software, so that you know what takes priority.
Nachteile:
Synching calendar to it can be a bit fiddly and end up with overall tasks cluttering up your calendar.

Simple but effective

The best thing was always its simplicity. Resource Guru made it extremely easy to view and find out your schedule for the upcoming day, week, and months.
Nachteile:
Nothing too problematic with Resource Guru but it would be nice to be able to easy see what the different colours meant for tasks. A sort of legend would be nice
Great Scheduling Manager
Vorteile:
This is the most intuitive and helpful scheduling manager that I have used. It puts everyone on the same page. It does exactly what it should.
Nachteile:
Can't think of any cons honestly. Perhaps, the ability to link this to a windows calendar would be a helpful feature.
