A formal file and media sharing tool for an enterprise.

Vorteile:

A formal sharing tool the user can upload, manage and share the file with the other file camp users. It's a simple, quick and easy cloud storage solution. The user can create a folder and upload the folders which keep the information organized. The user can add a description to the file so that other users get the information about the file. The user can use tags to the file which help to find a particular file quickly. The user can download the original uploaded file with lower resolution files. The file camp allows the enterprise to add its company branding and titling. The user can set a custom theme for the user interface. The application is available in Android, Windows, Mac and website version.

Nachteile:

The subscription plan is pricey for small enterprises, would have introduced custom subscription plans. In-person, webinar training support is not available. Customer support should improve the response time and resolution of the issues. The user interface should improve the simplification of the options.

Only File Sharing Service That Does What We Want

Kommentare: this is the only service that we could find that does what we wanted. they perfectly fit our need. Also, they are a great company. As we were awaiting their upgrade for much longer than originally anticipated, they gave us their service FOR FREE for like 6 or 8 months. Now that is great service.

Vorteile:

Love that you can customize thumbnails for folders. Feels very customized to users, which is exactly what we wanted. this was the only service that did what we wanted (custom thumbnails, white labeling, etc.)

Nachteile:

I wish the interface was a little bit more elegant. Also, I wish they give more storage for the price we pay. Finally, I wish they had an app for mobile.

Poor Mobile experience, Mixed browser compatibility, Minimalist UI, Buggy

Kommentare: Not many, it works but not naturally. Lot of work arounds. Constantly educating clients how to use the software.

Vorteile:

Has most of the features I need. Uploading is easy. Has the tagging functions and ability to add users.

Nachteile:

The features don't all work well or are not well implemented. No real search function, poor mobile performance. Been having buggy performance lately. Informing users of new galleries or selects or other changes is nearly non existent, users can be notified when files are added to a folder but it just lists the file names in an email. It should rather show a preview of the images added and send them their login credentials to view it or make logins for clients easier.

Great FTP SITe

Kommentare: Allows a repository for the most current documents to be easily accessible and revisions tracked.

Vorteile:

Our architects and technologists can easily organize projects and make drawings and documents quickly accessible to all stakeholders. From an admin point of view it's easy to manage people, folders and password.

Nachteile:

Nothing comes to mind at this time. The software functions as you would need it to.

Simple and Budget Friendly file share and DRM system.

Vorteile:

Easy to use solution that is priced competitively.

Nachteile:

The UX is outdated and should be updated.

Fantastic budget Digital Asset Management platform

Kommentare: Very very good. The customer service is fantastic and I can say without a doubt that this product has been a great success for us.

Vorteile:

This software is a fantastic option if you need a budget Digital Asset Management but still with a very professional look and feel. Some of the best features is the granular access control for users, unlimited users (don't have to pay per seat which is a must for us!), and white label branding control.

Nachteile:

The access control for folders and files is not quite granular enough, automatic emails are very limited when it comes to formatting etc, managing users can become complex.

Great File Manager for the money

Kommentare: This is a great repository for all our image files. We can categorize based on project type and image styles, etc. The customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. When I have had a question (big or small), I have gotten an immediate response...literally within a few minutes...and it is always a very detailed, helpful answer.

Vorteile:

I appreciate the ease of use, both in setting up the platform for my company and the interface/search capabilities for our users. Now our staff can locate image files on their own. It is helpful too, that we can add to our storage limits on the fly if needed.

Nachteile:

The uploading and tagging is a bit clunky...but it has already been improved since we started using FileCamp, and is easier than before.

I did my research, and this is the best DAM for your money

Kommentare: It's been great - I've had to reach out to customer service with questions a few times, and each time I received a timely response back from the co-founder himself.

Vorteile:

Ease-of-use is a big one - for me, having a capable software with many features is important but also being able to quickly find something / upload new files is just as important, and Filecamp has figured that process out.

Nachteile:

Honestly, I don't have a complaint. I work in a field that is historically not tech-savvy, so the only issue I've had is getting people to utilize the software vs. asking me to do it for them. This has nothing to do with Filecamp, just human nature.

Kommentare: Well priced software, with great features and storage capacity. uploading a bit frustrating, but that has been my experience with other file managers. file thumbnails is a godsend to quickly grab a document/file you are after

Vorteile:

This product is a great 'warehouse' for my work files, keeping them in order with the facility to access them via quick search functions is excellent

Nachteile:

It is an issue with most file manager, file sharing applications that the uploading of files can be a little unintuitive. But i think this is less of an issue with Filecamp than previous experiences I have had with the likes of dropbox.

Great Digital Asset Management Option for a Great Price

Kommentare: We were looking for a way to easily manage our photos and videos, so we can find them easily. We have Google Drive, but you can't tag photos and videos, and add other details. I also love the option of giving people a link, so they can upload images. We recently did this for an online event, and asked people to upload their selfies. Anytime we have questions, we send an email to support, and get a response right away. We also appreciate the nonprofit pricing option, which makes it affordable. I highly recommend Filecamp.

Vorteile:

Filecamp offers a great way to manage your digital assets like photos and videos. You can easily bulk upload and tag images, so they are easy to search for. They also offer nonprofit pricing, and great customer support.

Nachteile:

There are new features that can be added to make it even better, and their support team is open to ideas for new feature requests.

Kommentare: Over the three plus years we have been using Filecamp it has been great. We have not had any problems and has provided an economical solution for our business model.

Vorteile:

Funny enough, we were directed to this software by a direct competitor (one that costs a lot more money too). After we enroled, we noticed that the filecamp team had gone out of their way to brand our software with our company logo and several images!!! Fantastic first impression.Now the software itself achieves everything we need it to. We are a team of 10 at our NA location, and needed a software to share images, case study videos, and our brand manual with our dealers. Several marketing reps from a couple of our dealers and raved over the links we send them that are beautifully branded, organized, and easy to use (and refer to). We consider this a fantastic asset in organizing our digital media. Also, the meta tags have been very helpful to our internal team. We have a large volume of site photos, and when a service rep reaches out requesting a specific shot, it is easy for us to plug in the location, type, and any specific details to find the perfect photo.It's been fantastic and we think our European colleagues would highly benefit from implementing this software aswell.

Nachteile:

I wish we didn't have to double-click a file for it to open. Changing to a single click would be nice. Also - it would be aesthetically pleasing for there to be an option to upload images on top of a sample file image for each file. I've been doing this manually be designing my own 'file' image, then uploading a logo on top.

Great asset management for photos, needs some work on file management

Kommentare: Great to know our photos are safe online and available to all our colleagues wherever they may be. Great tagging and searching.

Vorteile:

Love that it serves our photo management needs and allows multiple users for a decent price. A lot of other DAM tools had way more than we need and were also way too expensive. Filecamp was really alone in this category--the perfect capabilities/size/price for our non-profit. The ability to tag, share, make and create collections is great.

Nachteile:

The file management is a bit annoying without drag-and-drop functionality--or even a menu where you can choose folders within the folder you're in--it slows down the process to have to drill down from the home folder each time I want to move assets.

Powerful Software for Great Price

Kommentare: It's made the creative process a lot easier with freelancers I love that I can give them access to what they need and nothing more and I can even have the access expire because who remembers to manage all those logins. It's great.

Vorteile:

This product is exactly what a small business needs, and has plenty of room for scaling.

Nachteile:

The UI isn't as "fancy" as some of the higher-end products, but honestly, it's not an issue and the fact it's simple and customizable has been actually a good thing. I also wish it integrated with google docs or other software so it was more centralized but it definitely gets the job done.

Vorteile:

The tools that the software offers us are very useful for me. I finish things I start much quicker than I expected. In this way, I can spare time for my other works.

Nachteile:

They are not bad in the interface part, but they can make it more simple and useful. Sometimes it can be difficult to find the feature I'm looking for.

Great file management system for affordable price.

Kommentare: Letting my customers download ebooks and video courses at any time.

Vorteile:

The speed of uploading and downloading the files is more than decent. Never a blackout or problems in 2 years. Easy to navigate.

Nachteile:

Previews of PDFs could be of better quality.

Filecamp review

Kommentare: Satisfies all or stored asset needs.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Variable data storage. Well laid out

Nachteile:

None. I don't find any issues with Filecamp.

Easy-peasy

Kommentare: We are volunteers who call ourselves "advocates" meaning we wish to promote the entity we support, a non-profit. Filecamp is affordable for our shoe-string budget, accessible to any with the password and valuable to meet just what we were looking for.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use, Filecamp meets a particular need for our group of volunteers to share files used in promotions. Intuitive, so that a novice or casual user can navigate to find what they want and even technophobes can handle the admin tasks. It has a large storage capacity for the many photo files we have and most importantly for us, it is searchable and displays the content visually.

Nachteile:

This is just a personal peeve. I do search the file often and wish the search bar would refresh with each search and not retain the last word searched. That one extra little step to delete the previous search term is an annoyance.

Filecamp is powerful, simple to use, great value for money

Kommentare: Excellent. Support is the best we have seen from any 'software as a service' product, and we use lots.

Vorteile:

The ease and simplicity of set-up and of use. There is no complexities to it. Easy share files, based on permissions. You can brand as your own. Support responses are quick and helpful. It's also inexpensive - a low monthly fee. There are no contracts, either. It's a great model for both Filecamp and for us. Great for them, because they must know that users are going to stay on-board. We will!

Nachteile:

We like everything about it. We opted for the basic version because it has everything we need.. for now. There are some extra features we would like, that are in their more advanced versions, but for now very pleased with what we have.

Easy to use, feature rich and excellent value for money

Kommentare: Significantly reduced 3rd-party asset requests by making assets readily available with easy to manage permissions.

Vorteile:

Offers features that are only available MUCH more expensive DAM systems. Excellent storage options, highly customisable with great options for applying branding and great pricing.

Nachteile:

User interface is not the best, but manageable once you get used to it.

Great product!

Vorteile:

Filecamp was extremely easy to set up and has a very intuitive design. It's simple and effective for organizing images and files to easily share with my team.

Nachteile:

I wish it were easier to use the search tool to find images based off the file name vs. tags. I fully plan to tag each image but that is a long process for the number of images we have so in the interim being able to search by file name would be easier.

Great upgrades to new version

Kommentare: Very useable product, used to manage multiple types of file sharing with a good interface and easy branding ability.

Vorteile:

Speed, ease of use, intuitive interfaces.

Nachteile:

Ability to batch manage files for tasks such as deletion, etc.

Great product

Kommentare: Mass storage of digital media and racing replays.

Vorteile:

I'm glad we found Filecamp. We use this weekly to store racing replays and photos to share on our website and with customers. Very easy to use.

Nachteile:

Early stages of the product was more difficult to use but they have fixed issues.

Great Tool for Creating Internal Catalogs

Kommentare: It's great! It does what we need and the adjustable plans/price ranges allow for the flexibility to change as our needs change.

Vorteile:

Easy to organize, great tagging/search tools, straightforward admin interface. We use it is an internal catalog of creative assets, organized by asset genre folders, and tagged for keyword searching. It's been the right tool for the job!

Nachteile:

I wish it was easier to section things off for search purposes. The function might exist, but I've yet to find it.

Ease of use and overall look and feel: Cleam and professional. User management. But most of all, the customer service experience has been great!

Nachteile:

I guess you could get cheaper options, but will you also be satisfied with customer care?
