MEMDM PLUS - Simpley Powerful

Kommentare: We are a custom Industrial and Commercial Android tablet provider. We support our clients who use MDMs and we recommend MDMs for clients to consider.

Vorteile:

The system guided me quickly and seamlessly through creating creating a user, its group and associated policy straight into provisioning the device with just a few minutes. Quickest setup I've ever experienced.

Nachteile:

We deal with a number of AOSP based non GMS supported boards running any number of Android Releases between 7-12 and working with AFW/Google Enterprise has been a challenge.

Manage Engine Mobile Device Management (Cloud)

Kommentare: We solved issues of missing devices, compliance, security and document control on tablets.

Vorteile:

We liked everything with the software, it's help us maintain our compliance and security on our tablet fleet across about 25 sites.

Nachteile:

There is a medium learning curve on the product, you'll need a few days with it hands on with devices to test and learn the system with.

Deployment of Android Devices

Kommentare: We are able to track out tablets remotely.

Vorteile:

I like that the program has an easy to use web interface that allows me to geolocate all of our tablets in the wild and send out announcements to them. I like that I can remote lock the devices and change the passcodes remotely.

Nachteile:

I d not like that remote access is an add on cost on top of the crazy high price of the yearly licence this came as a shock and was not communicated when we signed the contract. I am also not a fan of their support team that seems to never understand my questions and instead of offering support keeps sending back my email with a request for unrelated information. This even happens with sales.

Great MDM and fantastic price point

Kommentare: Price point and bang for buck is awesome with this product. It will do everything inTune can do and cost you a fraction of the price.

Vorteile:

ManageEngine MDM allows us to keep all our devices in security contention by ensuring the devices are always up to date with software and security patches.

Nachteile:

Can be hard to navigate round the GUI at times.

ECM Review

Vorteile:

Installing on Android is pretty straightforward and fairly easy. Have yet to try iOS. I do like how it let's you have complete control over company owned devices.

Nachteile:

The installer should be simpler for Windows. Currently, it's a zip file that needs to be opened and then a batch file is used to install. They should really create a single MSI file.

This was a great surprise

Kommentare: As far as we've being testing the product, has been a nice experience and we're considering to use it in production. We hope we finish the test soon with good results.

Ease to use, good documentation and fast answer from customer support team.

We're testing the product, and so far, we don't have complains. Probably when we go into production, we'll face some issues. But so far, so good.

Great MDM Product for managing iOS and Android Devices

Vorteile:

It is very easy to manage iOS and Android devices without spending numerous hours with „playing and trying“. The ME MDM provides an incredibly friendly user interface in which you quickly build a functional and managed environment. ManageEngine MDM is nice how it works with our Apple Business account. Apple's interconnectivity with MDM is flawless

Nachteile:

The online guides are a bit obsolete and do not correspond with the layout of Apple guides and Apple configuration applications. It would be good to update these videos from time to time. Other than that, I have not found anything I do not like.

My First MDM

Kommentare: In all, MDM is meeting all requirements and seems to be a great fit for our needs.

Vorteile:

The ease of onboarding the deivices and pushing the policies.

Nachteile:

It took a little while to figure out the steps to enfore the polocies and push them to the devices.

Managing endpoint for small business

Vorteile:

The amount of features that you can use, for a small company not all of them are a requirement but its great to have them in case you need it

Nachteile:

The page is not that user friendly, you need to navigate it to find the options that you are looking for

Very powerful management system

Kommentare: We needed to manage locking down and deploying apps to multiple cell phones. This product does that and so much for more us.

Vorteile:

The product has a plethora of features. It is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. This is something that many products don't have. Support is very responsive.

Nachteile:

The interface is a bit confusing. You have to go "fishing" to find where various settings are because there is a quite a bit of duplication throughout the interface. Several of the tabs along the top should be combined.

Guided set-up, easy to understand and use.

Kommentare: Easy to set-up and deploy. Easy to cross-train personal to manage.

Vorteile:

Setting up a new MDM can be challenging. ManageEngine's MDM was easy to set-up as a stand-alone product. The steps were carefully explained to help guide the process of setting up needed accounts to assist with getting iPads managed and supervised.

Nachteile:

Love the Remote View feature, but of course Remote Control would be better. Right!

Nachteile:

Sometimes it takes a day for changes to catch up to the device- offline devices have to wait until passcode unlocked for profile changes to update.

Kommentare: We are trying to be compliant with GDPR and an MDM is essential. I had trialled many systems and ME so far came on the top from functions to cost and support.

Vorteile:

I signed up for the free trial before I committed myself. I really love the functions of this application it suits my organisation in everyway. The most useful function is the Fence Repository.

Nachteile:

The difference in hours between me and support sometime it took longer to get help.

Does what we need it to do. While alittle rough around some edges, this MDM shines by its features.

Kommentare: The ability to manage our mobile devices effectively and efficiently in a work and school environment.

Vorteile:

Easy to setup with a relatively straightforward dashboard layout. Where as a handful of other MDMs I have trialed are a bit overly-feature rich and have awkwardly placed menus, ManageEngine's MDM layout is one that makes sense, and integrates all of the things that a school district like ours needs. While trialing this product on a half dozen android tablets, they were a breeze to lock down, and we were able to group them up and drill down and apply policies on group and individual basis' with out too much struggle at all. Geo-tracking, Android Apps for Work Integration, individualized and group-based app approval, but also curating a custom app store, swift QR Enrollments, and user assigning are all big things we need in a MDM. And of course, a few hidden gems like the web clips, and the integrated remote monitoring are wonderful additions to a otherwise comprehensive device management platform.

Nachteile:

Only a couple concerns with the product itself. For some, the policy profile layout can be a bit overwhelming for some. We only have 5 schools, but certain things require a new profile for each minor change, like 1 profile for each WiFi profile you have to deploy, and each webclip requires its own as well. While straight forward, it can get make the profiles page a bit messy as you keep adding on to them, and should changes need to be made, going back between them can take a bit of time. Small thing, but a critique none the less. Another small critique is we had some issues connecting via the remote monitoring. Either it's our network or the service, but we were only able to get it working a couple times, and it requires a couple steps of user interaction to start the session more than I would like. The only noteworthy concern I experienced, & I will speak with a Customer Service rep for more info, is that I experienced a policy / app syncing issues on more than 1 occasion during deployment. During initial enrollments, I had instances where apps did not get downloaded to the devices, I had policy's that would not refresh despite manually refreshing them on the tablets themselves, and twice when I decided to remote wipe the device, the device did not wipe, despite it marked as removed from the console - where I then had to manually remove the mdm app from the tablet itself via a override code.

ME MDM Review

Kommentare: After trialing several services, ME has been the best option for us.

Vorteile:

I love the form and function of this MDM, It has all of the functions of other MDM's in a much more user-friendly interface.

Nachteile:

Training costs seem to be a bit high, but could be broken down more.

Why I Use ManageEngine MDM

Kommentare: Since the product was new to me. It did take me a little while to understand how it works. The product has been rock solid. The support that you have with a person through KB articles is phenomenal. You're always a phone call away when you need support.

Vorteile:

This MDM solution provides all the bells and whistles that I need. It is also very easy to use for administration. The integration with ABM makes things so easy. Since we're an Apple shop ABM integration is a must!

Nachteile:

The only con that I can think of is making sure your certificates are up to date. This is a security procedure that is extremely necessary. However, if you don't use the software often like daily or weekly. You need to make sure that your certificates for ABM don't expire on you.

Manage Engine MDM

Vorteile:

The knowledge base is great and very helpful in getting started. Onboarding devices and deploying configurations is fairly easy. Having the depth in capability in one MDM to manage Windows, MacBooks and Ipads is very useful

Nachteile:

There are many overlapping methods for use and this redundancy creates wastes of time in learning how to use the software. Deploying configurations takes too long even here in the office with strong network speeds.

Manage Engine a great tool to manage your devices

Kommentare: we where able to manage our versions of an app and keep our devices also up to date without any differences between the devices.

Vorteile:

The product was easy to setup and very easy to use, it is pretty straight forward.

Nachteile:

the option that i missed was to copy a existing profile, it would have saved some time creating a profile with a copy of a baseline.

The Best MDM

Kommentare: We use ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus primarily for company-issued iPhones. This service has made it very easy to manage the iPhones and control what the users can do with them, all while maintaining security and being able to control the device when necessary.

Vorteile:

I like how easy it is to manage company devices, whether it's Apple, Android, or other. You can completely control a device remotely, going so far as to geo-locate it, disable it, wipe it, and even just reset the lock PIN remotely.

Nachteile:

The only con I have is navigating the menus can be a little confusing sometimes. Occasionally, you'll find the device only to realize you were in the Enrollment tab and not the Device Management tab, and be unable to push apps to a phone for that small reason.

Just what I needed

Vorteile:

The free trial is great as an opportunity to ensure the product will work as intended. Once I learned the system, I quickly realized it was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a mobile device manager with single app mode, remote management and deployment, and kiosk mode. Manageengine worked perfectly!

Nachteile:

Manageengine is a very comprehensive system (which is a pro). However, the UI could be "cleaned up" to be more user friendly. Believe it or not, logging in can be a bit tricky as well. And there is alot going on between Zoho, other connected apps (such as Samsung, etc.), and Manageengine. You really have to know what you're doing (or don't mind asking Google alot of questions) in order to truly figure out how to work with the system. If this isn't your thing you might throw your hands up and give up!

Straight Forward MDM

Vorteile:

Easy Setup and deployment. Ongoing management and changes are straight forward as well.

Nachteile:

Integrations with 3rd party MSP tools are not available
