Ours has stopped sending completed patient reports to the printer. We work with mostly older patients and they prefer paper forms to the pad.

The best patient intake service!

Vorteile:

Phreesia is easy to use. My favorite feature is the "email patient intake forms." We are able to send patients their electronic forms to fill out online before their appointment. It automatically loads into our system and patients are able to be seen on time and not have to wait to fill out paperwork.

Nachteile:

You have to enter patients Name, Address, DOB, and Gender before you are able to check someone in on the Tablet.

Phreesia Review

Kommentare: Aside from the software and how it has helped our practice, customer service from the very beginning until now is unmatched. I cannot say enough about the teams that I have worked with. They are patient, understanding and knowledgeable.

Vorteile:

Our implementation of Phreesia could not have come at a better time. We started Phreesia at the beginning of 2020. When COVID guidelines came about in March 2020, we were able to keep our doors open because patients could have their registration completed before coming to the office. They did not have to wait in the waiting room as they were able to bypass the receptionist and go directly into an exam room when the time came for their appointment. Phreesia has also helped us increase our A/R because of the email reminders we can send patients regarding their balances as well as the ability to set up payment plans that are comfortable for both patients and our office.

Nachteile:

There really isn't much to say as what we like least about Phreesia. We do have one common complaint among patients that the intake takes a long time but the information being requested is the same as on paper and necessary to their appointment.

Excellent product with a lot of valuable features

Vorteile:

Daily census tracking to help identify staffing needs at a glance. Patient reminders and the fact they can go out via text and email since some patients may have either or. These are just a couple of the features I find most valuable from a patient access standpoint.

Nachteile:

Some of the E&B functionality can get confusing when payers aren't set up correctly, however, in these situations, the Phreesia support team has been great with not only helping resolve issues, but responding timely.

Check in process has become easier!

Kommentare: There are so many benefits to using Phreesia. From cutting down on the old school printing daily schedules, verifying every patients insurance one by one, then calling each patient to confirm appointment date/times to capturing required information via previsit in advance of the appointment.

Vorteile:

Phreesia has grown tremendously over the years with their features, it’s amazing too see how far they have become. To be able to utilize technology & have a software to make things more streamlined with the day to day check in process for our increasing patient population is a must!

Nachteile:

There are a few enhancements I have offered, which would be beneficial to Phreesia. Phreesia always has new features to offer, sometimes too many without making changes/updates to previous features.

Lots of Options But Phreesia is the Clear Cut Winner

Kommentare: We had a great experience from the design of the platform and working with the Phreesia team to customize the platform exactly the way we wanted it. They have flexibility to make it specific to your practice and the Phreesia team is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

Vorteile:

Completely streamlined the patient experience from reminder calls, Kiosk service for self check in, converted all our patient documents to digital format, allowed for online portal payments and have allowed us to create custom patient satisfaction surveys for our patients.

Nachteile:

Can be a little cost prohibitive for some smaller practices but made sense for our office which falls in the medium/large category. Customer success reps change frequently post implementation.

Phreesia is exceptional

Kommentare: Phreesia has been tremendous - it takes a large administrative load off of the front desk. The customer service is excellent, and definitely a great value.

Vorteile:

The customer service is second to none. They respond quickly and courteously, and if they didn't have the features we needed, they were very quick to make those features available.

Nachteile:

Some elderly patients don't love doing online check-in, but most of our patients find check-in easy and quick.

Phreesia has increased our revenue during our trial period!

Kommentare: I am very satisfied with the communication between the phreesia set up team and myself. They have been very helpful with following up and making adjustments as needed. Our set up was customized to fit the practice (telehealth only) and it has been working out great.

Vorteile:

I love the ease of the system. The system integrates with eCW EMR and cuts our office time in half, allowing to focus on other areas in the practice. Phreesia automatically sends the patients our practice consent forms and collects co payments during the check in process. We also customized our platform to allow patients with an outstanding balance to enroll into a payment plan. Many patients avoid our office calls when payment is due and have noticed patients prefer to enroll in payments plans on their own. We have seen a surge in old balances being collected these last two weeks.

Nachteile:

I would be happy if phreesia had a patient self scheduling option that integrated with eCW. Right now, patients make an appointment request through a phreesia custom form and we manually add that appointment into our EMR. We do have an alternative for established patients wishing to self schedule so we only need to manually schedule New appointment request. It's not too bad.

Vorteile:

Phreesia was able to give our Practice a leg up when the pandemic hit and our office was still mostly paper. There is such a wide range of usability. I typically try to use 1-2 days every 2-3 months to catch up on new enhancements and abilities Phreesia has introduced. I love being a part of the Beta program and providing feedback on their newest products. I feel like Phreesia, as a large company, actually hears our input and also considers it.

Nachteile:

Phreesia's support team can be very impatient. As the admin, I would like to have more ability to customize Phreesia instead of having to go through support every time we want to make changes. There is a lot of ability to customize as the Admin, but not the most important types of things such as work flows or frequency of the workflows being sent out. I would like to see their self-scheduling improve. One huge downside to it is the duplicate account/charts that self-scheduling allows. There is not any kind of flag or notification that is sent or shown when there have been duplicate accounts created.I would also like to see the appointment confirmations improve.The appointment confirmations will continue to be sent out and ask patients to confirm an appointment they have already confirmed or canceled.

Kommentare: We absolutely love Phreesia. I have personally recommended Phreesia to people for many years. We save so much staff time by doing insurance verification, appointment reminders, and financial tasks through Phreesia. I highly recommend it.

Vorteile:

We rely on the insurance verification to make sure we have the correct information to submit a clean claim. This is the #1 feature! Along with that, Phreesia identifies balances and copays, and allows us to collect that right at the time of service. We also rely on the automated appointment reminders, which helps cut down on no-shows. We use targeted communication to remind patients to schedule important follow up visits, or annual physicals. We use the patient payment features to send emails directly to the patient about balances, and they have the option to set up a payment plan directly through Phreesia.

Nachteile:

Sometimes patients complain about too much communication. I wish there was better integration with the EHR for data, and not just the ability to save some items as a PDF. I wish Phreesia identified credit balances.

Review of our experience

Kommentare: Make sure to read your contract VERY carefully and make note of your effective date on your order form. Your contract will automatically renew after 12 months or what they call your "initial term". But keep in mind, your contract will have 2 phases - Phase 1 which is an evaluation phase where you can decide if you like the product, and Phase 2 is your committed term where you pay monthly fees. BUT DON'T GET BLINDSIDED - your 12 month intial term is both Phase 1 and Phase 2. Don't make the mistake I did where I assumed our 12 month term was 12 months of paid usage that began in Phase 2. We are now locked into a contract with a product we do not want to use for another year.They will try to upsell you on everything, and I recommend you read the fine print before you commit to a new add-on. While some of the features were really useful for us, like self scheduling (which allowed us much more customization for our practice compared to Athena), we are now locked into using the product because of a clause in our contract. We only used self scheduling for covid testing blitzes and now we don't use it. But we have to keep paying. Okay, fine, I understand it is in the contract. Just pay very close attention to what you sign.Configuration is good, but not perfect. Be prepared to review everything that is built for your practice with a VERY fine toothed comb.

Great for Small processes

Kommentare: We enjoyed Phreesia while we could and wished we could have continued.

Vorteile:

This software was good in the beginning. It handled check it but the machines were bulky. I wished at the time that it could integrate into our EMR but it couldn’t so we had to copy and paste info which led to more mistakes. I liked that patients could physically sign off on information and it helped reduce paper.

Nachteile:

I didn’t like that they eventually took away our ability to work with the software. As they upgraded their platform, they still were unable to integrate with our EMR. Eventually, the pricing options made us have to look elsewhere.

Excellent stand alone product

Kommentare: Excellent experience. Customer service is quick to respond and communicate. The benefits of having E&B at our fingertips have far outweighed any issues. The dashboard is user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Vorteile:

Phreesia has helped improve our overall collections with the ability to verify E&B for most insurances. The ability to know insurance details in real-time is a benefit that more than pays itself. Additionally, interviews sent as e-documents is a feature that has set us apart from other facilities.

Nachteile:

Integration has been an ongoing issue. The interface is clunky and causes a lot of problems with duplicate encounters, multiple documents in EHR, and lag time from when an appointment is entered into our EHR to when it populates in Phreesia varies from instantaneous to many minutes. Additionally, if the interface stops working for some reason everything goes haywire. All documents then end up in our holding tank.

Patient intake and management

Kommentare: Benefits realized include Insurance verification, EMR integration and managing patient intake have all been a great experience. However, Phreesia is expensive and whilst we appreciate that Phreesia has a lot of functionality, it takes a lot of training and a keen eye to fully understand all the notification icons on the portal's home page.

Vorteile:

Integration with our EMR and having patient engagement with appointment confirmation. For applicable patients to be able to complete their gaps in care on the tablet for things such as ADHD, Risk Fall Assessment, Anxiety and depression.

Nachteile:

Integration with our EMR was not difficult, but stability or reliability of the system with numerous loss of some functionality. Text message limitations. It seems that the ability for patients to pay online through our website stopped working due to some problem with copying the HTML code from Phreesia to our website.

Kommentare: Great customer service! Our needs are address quickly and followup has been quick as well. We have been very pleased with our decision and selection of Phreesia.

Vorteile:

It is very user friendly for our patients. The parents really do like it and it stream lines the check in process to make it more efficient and timely. We like the ability to customize the templates to our liking. It imports to our EHR seamlessly. The credit card on file function has been a game changer! Parents love the ease of paying balances and it frees up staff time not calling hunting down payments from our parents. We have had no push back from our parents on this feature and it has really improved our AR status. The self scheduling has been great as well.

Nachteile:

I can not think of any thing I DONT like at this point.

Vorteile:

I love that Phreesia posts payments directly into our practice management system. This allows the payment posters to only have to review payment and ensure we are balanced which saves them a lot of time.

Nachteile:

Phreesia is a little more expensive than other software, but I believe the features the Phreesia offer make up for the difference in price.

Nachteile:

When a patient fills out their pre-visit info and they have a change of address, I do not like how it automatically updates in Athena CPS. A lot of times, patients misspell words or don't use correct capitalization.

Kommentare: Launching a new sytem is always scary! Phressia had staff on site for the week and have continued with weekly meetings to improve and grow!

The support we have had throughout has been amazing. From the launch to 6 months later, Phreesia support is always available to help! Phreesia is customizable to what works for your company. Phreesia is always willing to look into ways to help improve our goals and make life easier for staff and patients.

Phreesia has so many options that we have not even begun to scratch the surface one what they could offer us!

Kommentare: Overall I would say that Phreesia has been pretty great! Besides the issues with self scheduling other changes that we make to our workflow are implemented fairly quickly.

Vorteile:

Our practice likes how easy it is to use. It is very user friendly, especially since our patient base is on the elderly side.

Nachteile:

As of right now my least favorite feature is the lack of being able to make changes to the self scheduling setup. It's a little frustrating that something so important cannot be modified easily.

This has been great for patient engagement!

Vorteile:

Putting the check in process in the patients hands. This ensures proper registration at check-in. The patients can pay their copay and balance and even set up a payment plan. The best part is that it is paperless!!

Nachteile:

Hard getting the patients accustomed to using the check in board. The staff showed some resistance because we have and older patient demographic but Phreesia account rep worked with us on perfecting the patient interviews.

Vorteile:

Eligibility completed in one system. Able to integrate clinical information into EHR. The ability for parents to complete all material, including screenings, prior to the appointment. Easy to use for most patients.

Nachteile:

It takes a while for a new support case to be started. Family balances can not be transferred from PM to phreesia. It is only the patient balances. We have had to have someone go in and add family balances to phreesia the day before to make sure these balances are being addressed at each visit.

Kommentare: We have saved time during patient Check-In and have been able to obtain accurate intake information in a very timely manner.

Vorteile:

Ease of use as well as access to ample support. Phreesia Support provides quick responses and is always available to troubleshoot any issues.

Nachteile:

I wish the tablets would take on a newer, more modern look, similar to popular tablets. They can be heavy for our older patients.

The amount of money that it saves on forms is wonderful. By having them in Frasier and having them uploaded into the EHR is such a Time Saver

Often patience will be resistant to using it however once someone shows them how or they have done it before they see how it's simple and easy to use it is
