Firmex is very intuitive and straight forward. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but we don't really need that.
Sometimes difficult to find answers to questions regarding the tool.

In regards to the search function, we offer OCR search on all PDF and office documents which is industry standard (which some competitors don't offer). Great to hear your experience with the ease of use and intuitiveness of the platform. As for uploads, without knowing how many GBs and files you were uploading it is difficult to better understand the needs. We offer full 24/7 support to any user involved in the data room, therefore if you have any issues such as upload speed they can do some tests on your behave to enhance this experience.

Thanks for the feedback. As for your issue downloading files with a watermark, there could be a couple instances of why this is happening but without further details I can only speculate. For security reasons, only users themselves can download files with watermark as the watermark is specific to each user. However, if you don't see an option to download files outside of our view as feature, please ensure download is enabled as both office & PDF files can be downloaded with watermarks. One of the better data rooms I've used
Kommentare: Definitely one of the better, user-friendly data rooms I have used.
Vorteile:
It is very efficient and I have never had an issue downloading files or accessing a data room.
Nachteile:
I don't like the new interface as much as the previous one. The previous interface was a little easier to use and I didn't have any issue with functionality. I don't like that when you checkbox individual files, you don't have the option to download them with the folder path. You can only download with a folder path included if you click the "Download" button without checking any files, which can be a little cumbersome downloading unneeded files. I think that needs to be updated asap.

Thanks for the feedback, great to hear about your experience and how easy it was to navigate our platform. We pride ourselves in how easy our user interface is to accommodate all users logging in to our data room. We do have the ability to leave comments and tags which can be found on the right hand side of the documents tab. Those comments and tags can be searched for within the search tab as well, although isn't a report function it still can be found easily.
Only Virtual Data Room Provider I Use

Best Dataroom Option
Kommentare: 10/10 would recommend to anybody needing a dataroom.
Vorteile:
It's incredibly intuitive, easy to set up, and has all the functionality of the more expensive dataroom sites. The flat cost is a huge benefit as well, I use it for every deal I'm a part of.
Nachteile:
Not much to complain about to be honest. It has all the features you need, is easier to use than other sites, and is less expensive.

Firmex is great
Kommentare: Relative to Box and Intralinks, I have enjoyed my experience with Firmex's VDR and it has been extremely helpful with coordinating our due diligence process with external parties.
Vorteile:
The Firmex VDR is easy to navigate and provides a seamless experience to provide documents to external users
Nachteile:
It would be helpful if (i) there was an easier way to leave/review comments within Firmex for specifid documents and (ii) run a report to see which users have viewed and downloaded documents.

Thanks for the feedback. We do send out invitation emails when being granted access to a data room, wtihin the email are links to the URL of the data room project you have been invited into. There are always links that users can send to one another for a specific document.

Ease of Use
Vorteile:
I really enjoy being able to set up Data Rooms for our clients very quickly and seamlessly. This saves time for all parties. I really appreciate the availability of customer service being available for all of my questions as well!
Nachteile:
I feel that the user interface can be worked on a little bit to make it more user friendly, such as larger tabs or buttons that would make the end user experience more enjoyable.

Excellent Customer Service
Vorteile:
It is easy to use and a great tool for my company to help share documents. The customer service is excellent if there is ever a problem. The 24/7 customer service is a great security blanket to have knowing that a solution to any problem is available any time of day.
Nachteile:
Renaming and organizing documents once they are already in the data room can be a time consuming task at times.

Thanks for the feedback on how easy and intuitive the platform is based on your user experience. As for renaming we have the ability to do this where other providers do not, therefore you have to delete the content and rename locally before reuploading. We have the ability to bulk move documents within a folder into another folder, as well as copy/move from data room to data room.

Appreciate the feedback on our reporting and the ability to easily track activity wtihin the data room in real time. As for our search function we offer full OCR search within a document meaning full text search, as well as the ability to search through folder and document names.

Files can be cumbersome to reorder in folders if you are moving many files (i.e. we always have to arrange monthly financials by date)

Kommentare: it's always reassuring to know that files are kept secure there if I'm missing them from somewhere else.

Easy to use, clean, organized well. It's a great tool to keep track of files in a shared but secure place
Nachteile:
sometimes it takes a small file just as long to upload as a really big file, but this doesn't always happen, and big files don't take very long to upload anyway (just a few moments)

As for your comment about upload speeds based on file size, without understanding your set up or the file type I can understand the issue this may cause. We are the only platform that can handle 50 GB upload through the browser, it is internet based so depending on that set up it can impact file upload speeds. As for creating sub folders, we do offer an excel folder structure document that can be downloaded from the data room. This can be customized to create an entire folder structure for you and then uploaded directly into the data room mirroring set structure. Your Account Manager or our support team would be more then happy to walk you through how this is done.

We appreciate the positive feedback on the easy of use and copying documents which saves time and resources compared to other providers. Our platform can be used on a mobile web browser and we do offer an iOS app. The app isn't designed to be a complete substitute, it is meant to be able to store documents offline as well as make some changes remotely.
