VDR review

Kommentare: Good experience on Ansarada staff interaction. Platform is straightforward, but some further optionality would be appreciated on the visuals as described above. Also on the functionalities, think there is room for improvement as mentioned above.

Vorteile:

Thoroughly enjoyed the communication with the help desk chat function. People were eager to help and always found a solution. Understand there were a lot of request on our end, and the Ansarada team kept good performance throughout these issues that surged during our VDR process. Also available and communicative over the phone, which is appreciated.

Nachteile:

I found the general setup structure on the index quite cumbersome. On our end we were trying to have a base unredacted VDR index and another one that was redacted and renamed. Would be helpful to have a staging folder option under the Manage > Documents options on the left hand side of the screen. On another topic, it would also be helpful to have a document counter on the top left of the screen when you select all document within a folder, for instance.

Kommentare: Its been quite good. It takes a bit of time to get investors on it, but once they are all on it, makes it easier to track questions.

Vorteile:

Easy to manage investor questions and allow to upload documents related to the question.It also allows us to allocate specific documents and store them to the related questions

Nachteile:

I think as a first time user, it can be quite hard to grasp everything especially all the high level technical controls.

It is extremely intuitive and is able to do everything I want to do simply. That is surprisingly extremely rare and a real joy to use.

Kommentare: My overall experience is good. Of course there are still improvement points and some of the issues could be misuse from my side but, in general, I would recommend Ansarada to everyone.

Vorteile:

Ansarada is very easy to use and intuitive. The features I love the most are bulk upload and import folder structure, which saves so much time. I also really appreciate their support whenever you have questions and the security settings, which are very self explanatory.

Nachteile:

The naming of documents could be done better. I personally do not like when I download the document and it comes with the number of the folder/subfolder.Also, everytime I ask clients to upload documents, they do not know how to add it to a folder that is already there and I always need to reclass them. This is something that I have experienced as well, since I don't think it is straightforward.

Kommentare: Ansarada has provided a great platform for our business in Investment Banking. The great functionality and accessibility makes our jobs much easier and it is definitely my preferred VDR!

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use of the platform. Compared with other VDR's I've used, Ansarada provides the best interface and functionality and is clearly developed with the end-users in mind.

Nachteile:

I think it would be helpful to be able to group Q&A viewers into different teams e.g. FDD, Tax etc. by company) to facilitate sending Q&A responses to only the appropriate team members.

Vorteile:

Ease of use. For someone who spends a lot of time in datarooms, ease of use is critical from a user perspective. Ansarada is intuitive and the customer service team is always very quick to respond.

Nachteile:

The challenge with datarooms is getting buy-in from management teams. I appreciate that Ansarada has decent functionality to do Q&A through email, but it is tough to pull clients away from spreadsheets and sending Q&A in the body of emails, rather than through the platform itself. Anything Ansarada could do to help with the education process would be great.

Great Networking Event

Vorteile:

The team set up a golf networking event for several of their customers. It was a great day and it was obvious the team put a lot of work into it to ensure everyone had a fun time. They went the extra mile to show that they care about their customer.

Nachteile:

Nothing, the team was great. I'll be at their next event.

Ansarada review

Kommentare: Ansarada has been solid overall and always worked as required. Support is high quality and easy to get in contact with.

Vorteile:

Ansarada is intuitive to use, and is robust and reliable for all the deals we have used it on.

Nachteile:

Some of the settings could be clearer. Often need to read articles or discuss with support to get an understanding of settings, permissions, etc.

Q&A

Kommentare: Good support, only issues is as mentioned above.

Vorteile:

Good UX, mostly clear to use and functional

Nachteile:

Q&A - Intralinks and various other data room operators have the ability to ask questions on behalf of 3rd parties, this is seriously helpful where they need the questions processed quickly or may not yet have full access to the data room. To counter this, I've had to make a fake account on behalf of a 3rd party to process questions in the past, which is an issue. Further, the fact that you need to be a Q&A administrator to see the name of the Question Author is quite ridiculous. For example in a sell-side process where there's more than one potential acquirer in the data room asking questions, unless the sellside client is an admin, i.e. if they are approver or author, they can't see who is asking the question which means it's very difficult to correctly direct an answer. This should be an option which you can enable. The only way around it is by adding a comment when approving and forwarding the question which is very manual and inefficient for the entire process.

However, mostly it is quite even and we are asked for quotes from a number of providers. With the issues in Q&A it is sometimes difficult to justify Ansarada over other providers.

The general ease of use of the platform, supportive and responsive support team from the live chat support team to the sales team and back office support team, everyone is always happy to assist with any questions we may have.The ease of uploading/deleting documents, and the assurance that you won't release the wrong document to the wrong person.

Nachteile:

would be helpful if i could view as the specific person - i believe this will reduce the level of reliance on the support team on basic/setting up questions

Recommended Dataroom Provider

Vorteile:

Trustworthy brand which provides secure data storage, access control / permissions to the dataroom administrator and logical document management, storage and file sharing. Ansarada also provide very strong customer service and access to the team to troubleshoot any issues

Nachteile:

An app to access the dataroom / settings on the go is something we are looking forward to!

Vorteile:

Ease of use and layout. Also their customer support is very quick to respond and helpful everytime.

Nachteile:

The cost compared to other providers is much higher.

Easy to use, very intuitive and good customer service when required.

The bulk download sometimes does not work - or takes far too long to complete (even if the VDR is not that large)

Good platform and helpful customer service!

Vorteile:

Security and visibility settings are very handy. The 'bulk upload' and 'import folder structure' features are used frequently. Creating different teams for sell-side and buy-side is also intuitive, allowing for multiple levels of access. Excellent customer service and friendly team in Sydney

Nachteile:

A couple hurdles initially with needing Adobe, however would be fine if users had this already installed. Being able to easily filter / identify disabled documents without running an excel would be helpful.

Ability to securely share and control data.

Nachteile:

Administrative time. A generic security profile and email add in would be useful.

Ansarada Dataroom

Kommentare: I predominantly use Ansarada to assist with M&A processes. Ansarada is particularly helpful during the due diligence phase as well as forming part of the transaction documents as the warranties and indemnities are tied only to what has been provided in the dataroom.

Vorteile:

The encryption abilities of the software. The ability to monitor / restrict exactly what each individual can view and how they can view the information is most helpful.

Nachteile:

The thing I like least about the software is the inability to change an individuals security protocols within the same group. It would be good to be able to monitor an individuals security protocols whilst keeping them within the same investment group.
