Vorteile:

Pricing is very straight forward - per doctor fee rather than per user or per client. High uptime availability, monthly updates, great tech support available via the app to all users.

Nachteile:

Lots of clicks to do something, inability to time stamp, refills pull from price originally put in ( so if it has increased, you lose that money, no way to lock medical records, not super-intuitive.

Great value, still needs improvements

Kommentare: Overall, it's good. I've used eVet/Pulse since 2014 between 2 practices. I'm used to it, I think it's a good product. I just know it could be better.

Vorteile:

It's fairly easy to learn and is user freindly

Nachteile:

LOTS of clicking to get to the right page. Also, all of the "enhancements" that they do are not usually actually productive or things that I've seen anyone ask for- making the border of the EMR pink or blue to indicate gender.....there are plenty of other requests that are more important than that.

Kommentare: It has been amazing this is the second practice that I have implemented pulse at.

Vorteile:

The ease of access and use. The reports features make my life a lot easier. My tech's also love how everything is much easier to access.

Nachteile:

No access to an app feature yet. I think it would be amazing if there was an IOS app.

Kommentare: Overall this software makes simple tasks harder for reception. And for Hospital manager to make simple corrections. It has made us question continuing with this platform.

Kommentare: Pulse can be VERY glitchy, it goes down from time to time and we cannot do our daily tasks, it's not user friendly. I don't know what happened from when we first started using EVet Practice to Pulse, but something happened and not for the better. When we call about problems we are having, it's ALWAYS our server and not their problem to look into. The CSR are very nice and I know they are told what to say, it's by no fault of their own they can't say anything but "it's your server". I feel like Covetrus just doesn't want to take on the problems and fix what needs to be fixed. Pulse it just not what it used to be and sure not helpful when you have a problem. I wish I could say better things about Pulse.

Vorteile:

At this time there is not much I like about Pulse

Nachteile:

I used to rave about Pulse, something has changed and not for the better. I would not recommend it to a colleague at this time.

Pulse needs to be more like Avimark

Kommentare: As time goes on I’m not getting as frustrated with it. So I guess good.

Vorteile:

I like that it is cloud base and I can access it from home.

Nachteile:

It takes two many clicks to get what I’m looking for. On the checkout part the reminders should be on that screen. And the reminders should be color coded just like it is in Avimak. It needs to be more like Avimark. There should also be a rescheduled button so you don’t have to cancel the appointment and go back into the medical record to make new appointments. It’s just a lot of back and forth.

Kommentare: Tough to transition from Avimark to Pulse but once you get the hang of it many things are actually easier.

Vorteile:

Refilling prescriptions is much easier, and the price tag option is very nice for quick price comparison.

Nachteile:

Prescription labels had many issues with printing correctly, and learning the system was a challenge it is much easier now, but I would like if there was an easier way to search a patients medical history. Like a search bar where you could find certain words like exam without having to scroll through the whole history.

Like some of the hot bittons. Not much else.

Nachteile:

Accounting aspect. Too many places to look for info. Like a labyrinth. Time stamp should be initials date, time in one.

Kommentare: I didn't think I could hate a software more than Impromed, and yet here we are

Vorteile:

The ease of entering a new client "on the fly" when scheduling an appointment.

Nachteile:

"Active" patients are not actually "active" from tab to tab. You cannot view patient information or history or simple vitals from the note page. You can't even cut and paste an appointment from one day to another. You cannot have multiple Pulse tabs open at the same time in order to view all the information you need at once. Inactive patients cannot be found with the basic search function, yet deceased pets cannot be hidden from client's active account.

Kommentare: Overall, we would recommend Covetrus Pulse to any practices looking to get more of their records online and have a more cohesive and comprehensive practice management system.

Vorteile:

We love how user friendly Covetrus pulse is and how much information we can store on all of our clients and patients. The software's interface makes it easy for us to train new employees and veterinarians on the program which saves us time. We love how detailed the records are of patients and clients, and that we're able to integrate lab results and documents into the files. Covetrus Pulse allows us to have a very comprehensive compilation of medical files and client history all in one spot, which is easy to navigate and work with.

Nachteile:

As an equine only practice, we found there were some features that had limitations and made it difficult for us to set up. We had a lot of difficulties with inventory for example, as the program seemed to be tailored more to small animal practices. We did find some regular glitches with the software and often had to call their tech support. Customer service was overall usually quite helpful.

Kommentare: Frustrating seeing a user friendly program become burdensome and slow. Was so much easier when products and services were still set up like the inventory was. Could see line items so much better....

Vorteile:

Covetrus Pulse was never good. Only remnants of what used to be eVet Practice.

Nachteile:

The constant updates that makes Pulse slower and harder to use.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of navigating patient and client accounts, ordering tests, and entering medical notes.

Nachteile:

It is SLOW and glitchy extremely often and when contacting tech support there is never any resolution or meaningful steps forward. Invoicing and payment management is hard to use and difficult for clients to understand on statements. Integration with DYMO is limited to certain not easily found models. Integration with some outside services (radiology for example) is pretty limited or nonexistent.

Kommentare: Occasionally you get someone that knows what their doing in Support but.. I tend to while waiting for support to get support on how to do something, end up finding out how to do it myself and then showing the support person how I found it.

Vorteile:

Integration on the technical side was simple but too much information such as inactive codes & clients were transferred that should not have been and patient /client alerts that were from the prior Covetrus PIMS were never transferred and did not show up in alerts for either in PULSE. This is CRITICAL information! It would have been nice & wise to have a designated integration specialist from Covetrus for the duration of the entire process. It would of been helpful as they would have been able to quickly recognize the issues early on and assist their Covetrus integration team to fix these issues and assist the managers in the practices with the set up process. After all, it is your system and if you want people to continue to use it and recommend it, then you need to change your integration process to ensure that these things are taken care of and the teams are comfortable in training for them to start accurately utilizing the new PIMS immediately.

Nachteile:

They do not do the setup with you. You have to do it all yourself. Real serious lack of training of teams. Less than 2 hours of training provided to Doctors and Staff who did not even have the system. No one from Covetrus on-site to assist with any staff training or go-live help or set up process. All on your own if you do this!

Kommentare: The initial training was not good. We were left to trial and error on many questions and we never did get our vx certificate problems resolved.

Vorteile:

Easy to look-up clients or pets, reports are easy to create

Nachteile:

Moving around in client file, too many screens to enter basic info, very time consuming

Easy to Use, not perfect

Kommentare: Overall it is a good experience, minus the set backs listed above.

Vorteile:

The fact that employees can access Covetrus while at home to complete notes, or do other work. The program for the most part is very user friendly and easy to use.

Nachteile:

The "history" screen often takes too long to load making it very inefficient to enter notes. I liked the old "history" screen where the reminders could still be seen at the top of the page for reference. Now we have to completely exit the page, go back to the main medical page for that patient, in order to see the reminders. The little pop ups every time a note is entered "this has been saved" is very annoying and serves no purpose, it just needs to save so I can continue on the to the next thing. The whole thing is just inefficient. Also, when a credit card is deleted from WP, it does not trigger missed payments or accrue the missed payments. I have to go in and run a report weekly to catch these and fix it.

Kommentare: I like it overall and the ease of it's use.

Vorteile:

I like it's intuitive set up and functionality. I like how some things are very customizable. I like the variety of reporting and way the information in the patient record is presented.

Nachteile:

I don't like how information in reports can be pulled via multiple reports and often with different results. I also don't like that pulling more than a a few days data tends to make my Pulse program freeze and crash for several minutes making it unusable while gathering data. I also wish we could do more customization with wellness plans and better reporting there. I also would like to be able to set up multiple reminders for things and set up online patient scheduling so I could move away from separate programs like Rapport.

Great software

Kommentare: I'm satisfied overall and find Pulse easy to use. The original person who set up the system entered vaccines in incorrectly and it has caused us a mess with reminders but that is on us and customer service has been very helpful. I wish the anesthesia monitoring and exam forms allowed for entering letters/text as well as numbers in certain areas. Example: being able to put in UTO, DNO, seconds, etc. I have yet to deep dive into templates, though, so I'm not sure if it is user error or setup. Again, customer service is excellent.

Vorteile:

Easy to use and learn, instant access to chat and troubleshooting, great customer service.

Review of Pulse

Simplicity and easy to teach receptionists and technicians how to enter patients and charges.

Constant major changes to format which has made it difficult for me to figure out how to operate managerial functions.

Overall a Good System but still needs work

Kommentare: Overall it is a good system but it still needs some work. It would be nice to see changes made to the things we are having issues with. The support staff is very responsive which is great and if they don't know the answer they find it out for us. The resource center articles are very helpful as well.

Vorteile:

We like the templates for exams that are available. We like that there are multiple ways to do things because each of our doctors may want to do things differently. The scheduler is good once you get used to it. We like that it integrates with the reference labs we use as well as our in house lab. All results go right into the patient chart which is awesome.

Nachteile:

The invoice history and billing account information. It is so difficult to read and understand the billing and payment history. This is a huge downside to this software. It is not user friendly at all. It doesn't help that when the migration occurred, if an account had a balance it came over in bits and pieces. Then when finance charges were added on they were added on multiple times to each of the "bits" that migrated over.We don't like that there is a maximum of 20 recent lab results. I have 8 doctors and one doctor could do 20 blood works in one day.We don't like that there is no way to audit appointments or other things that were entered to see what staff member made changes.

Conflicted programming

Vorteile:

I like that everything is in one place. Gone are the days of paper charting while still being able to include uploaded documents into the patients file. I also like how colorful the scheduling is and being able to search patients by their first or last name or the owners name.

Nachteile:

I don’t like having to constantly change the provider back and forth. I also find written scripts frustrating as I often forget to change the provider and have to start over. I also haven’t found a way to print them without saving them and then printing.

Taskboard update.

Kommentare: Overall, I think the system is easy to use. I am mostly concerned about the way the new task board functions

Vorteile:

Scheduling, billing, medical records are all, user friendly.

Nachteile:

I have concerns regarding the update to the task board function. Cons* Accessing patient medical record from a specific task is no longer possible, you have to leave the task and find the link for the patient medical record in the task board. *Marking a message as urgent is not available from the patient record. A lot of our communications regarding patient care are originated from the medical record. Our old work around for making something appear urgent is no longer functional because you can not see something highlighted from the new task board. * The size of the task window is too small, I keep notes regarding updates and next steps in treatment for export cases in tasks. I do not need to see the entire task board when working on a specific task. What would be cool is if I could access the patients medical record while still in the task. Pros*I do like that you can now update a specific task and copy that update to the medical record without completing the task. *I like that you can see multiple task boards at the same time and that you can control the time frame

Easy to use

Valuable, Not User Friendly

Kommentare: My experience is a nice, although frequently complicated one. PLEASE create an option for selecting multiple calendar appointments at once to be edited/deleted/etc. Cleaning up our calendar is a Herculean task that could be drastically reduced with that feature.

Vorteile:

It is a great, mostly all-in-one product that allows for ease of access for scheduling, keeping up-to-date on patient charts and billing records. There is much room for improvement, however the basics are all very usable.

Nachteile:

There are countless ways this product can be improved upon. It is not very user-friendly and comes with a definite learning curve. There are elements that take way longer than necessary that could be easily rectified.
