A powerful tool for tracking artwork submission and approvals.

Kommentare: I can see what my jobs are and importantly what their job numbers are so I can track the artwork down from the server. I can also find relevant material to a job assuming the client has remembered to upload anything.

Vorteile:

1. You can see where all your current jobs are, what their job numbers are and if they have been reviewed and or approved. 2. The preview is fast. 3. Great for tracking progression of a job. 4. The Admation team bring out regular improvements to the software.

Nachteile:

1. It involves too many steps to upload a single piece of artwork. 2. It generates a different job number for every element of a campaign, if you have 60 pieces of artwork you have 60 different job numbers for one campaign. Surely the description of the file dictates the difference without the need for seperate job numbers. 3. Overly complicated at times. 4. Markups to PDF's are very messy. Shame it doesn't use Acrobat to markup.

An update from the Simple platform

Vorteile:

The search feature on Admation is more intuitive than the Simple platform. All the filters applied work and help narrow down the results shown.

Nachteile:

We can't send one document to multiple partners at the same time on the same level of approval.

Admation is lacking many functions that would make it more user-friendly.

Vorteile:

The audit trail is a useful feature.

Nachteile:

The inconsistent and seemingly random allocation of job numbers. It would be better to have a job number (e.g. 123456) and then the deliverables are listed as .1, .2 (e.g. 123456.1). This would save lots of time searching and streamline the process. The fact that sometimes the only option is to go BACK but you can only do this limited times. The email/messaging feature is clunky. Having to select ALL or ANY when there is only one contact. Having to specify who the recipient is when you are replying to an email. No 'back to top' feature so lots of scrolling especially in the asset library. Long subject lines in email e.g. "Your item has been approved/reviewed" which only leaves a few spaces for the actual job name. It would be better if it just said "approved" or "rejected" and gave more of the job name. There are too many places where information can be stored (e.g. requirements for the job) and it is easy to miss things. It would be good if there was an option to "download all". Sometimes we have ten or more docs to download and it can be time consuming to do these individually. As well as "project organisations" and "project team" it would be good if there was a space in the job deliverables detail screen where the name of the designer and copywriter could go.

I agree that features such as the Back to Top scroll will be quite useful! You'll be pleased to know that we're currently reviewing our subject line structure for email notifications. This release should be available before the end of the month! I'd really love to hear your suggestions for the ALL/ANY approval when there's only one recipient. I've made a note to start chatting about this with the UX team quite soon. Lastly, there are ways to download multiple items out of the system. Files can be bulk downloaded, and assets can be bulk exported via the Cart function! It would be great to set up a time to chat about these. Great for transparency across colleague's work and their obligation on certain tasks

Nachteile:

You can't click back without the page messing up. Sometimes colleague feedback is overwhelming and you can't really tell the order that it's in.

Kommentare: I am slowly getting used to the Admation software and finding it ok. Overall I find it very busy, there is too much information which is unnecessary which makes it hard to use and understand. Its not a user friendly or intuitive platform and could be designed to be much more appealing to the eye.

Vorteile:

Keeps a good record of all our partner sign offs.

Nachteile:

Its not easy to edit, use and approve items. It requires more customisation to suit the business use or purpose of the software. It should be a system that is so intuitive that you don't require training like Pageproof, which is used by our white-label partner. It would be really helpful if you had business best practice for use, because the process is much bigger than just the platform i.e. file types used etc. which could be communicated through the platform.

Timesheeting I found quite insightful and offered the chance to display and request the additional tasks associated with a deliverable - rather than people expecting just an email build, they now understand the total effort behind this.

Nachteile:

Everything is just too many clicks away - or the information you are after isn't immediately available.What also confused me is how I might be set to be a person responsible for a deliverable however counterintuitively - I am unable to access the job rendering my utility useless as I can't see briefs/copy/content to use to create my deliverable - fundamentally flawed

Admation review - Marketing team

First of all, it give me peace of mind that our enterprise compliance around signoff is met. secondly, the Admation is great for tracking progression of a job/ include reminders. Also, you can customise your dashboard to see all your projects and where all your current jobs are.

It easy to use and it helps our team to streamline our approval workflow - it manage and track all of our reviews and approvals from one central/cloud based hub.

Nachteile:

It is a brilliant collaboration tool - very easy to access and manage.

Great platform for the whole marketing team to use

It's a collaborative artwork management tool that keeps an audit history of changes, comments and approvals - so you always know where everything is at with each campaign.

Nachteile:

Can be a bit complicated to work through different sections and find a particular action point. But overall it's pretty intuitive.

Slow servers result in delayed response, clunky systems

Kommentare: It's a frustrating system and is hard to work with. Wish there was more customisation of briefs and proof review/approval process.

Vorteile:

Not a whole lot. The customer service our team is provided is good, but the system itself is generally cumbersome and frustrating to work with.

Nachteile:

Asset creation is clunky, there is no way to edit the way briefs populate, servers are constantly non responsive and slow.

The final nature of approving or requesting changes on artwork can be both a blessing and a curse, at times! But we've decided to keep it this way for data integrity purposes, and to minimise human error when designers come to create artwork revisions from the feedback they've received. Should you require further changes after you've submitted your feedback, the best way is to message the submitter in the system, asking them to upload another revision of artwork. It might be handy to know that you can also edit approvers within admation once your artwork has been sent off for approval. Good for audit trail, not so user friendly

Kommentare: Could be improved if a submitter can select their preference for reviewers (to ensue all reviewers are managing this consistently by providing feedback through either attachments or into AdMation directly. Also, would like to be able to extract and save feedback that has been loaded to AdMation directly. Sometimes I need to retrieve content that has been reviewed previously and there is no option for key word search. This would be a great enhancement. Also, some pieces have questions rather than a straight accept / reject. It would be great if you could ask questions from the item that is being reviewed.

Vorteile:

Great for audit trail to demonstrate compliance.

Nachteile:

Not easy to navigate or to use features. Terrible search functionality, difficult to understand how to change uploads if a new version is released.

Kommentare: I would rather not use it. Unfortunately my place of work uses it as a job processing system. It's not a pleasant experience to use it.

Vorteile:

There isn't much to like about Admation unfortunately. For a creative, it's not user friendly and very cumbersome with an unattractive and unwieldy interface.

Nachteile:

All the actions, buttons and clicks you need to take to complete one process. It's too much!

Banking on help

Kommentare: It's made compiling a brief to our design team much easier and this really helps in getting back designs that we would like to utilise.

Vorteile:

It's improved the briefing process immensely. It also makes it easier to track my jobs and where I am at with work on the go.

Nachteile:

When there are changes we often find out as we are using it rather than be give a heads-up or tips on how to get the best from it. Regular updates to ensure we get the best from Admation would help.

I like the notifications that are given by the software and the fact that you can track projects.

I do not like how it is integrated with e-mail and how there are a number of functions that are not used and make the process difficult to use.

Admation review

Vorteile:

I like that there is an easy way of putting in all work and being able to see versions that have been submitted and the changes that have been made along the way.

Nachteile:

I don't like if you have accidentally submitted a piece to everyone in a group, that you have to resubmit the whole piece, rather than being able to edit it in the project. This adds time to the overall approval process.

Some starting hurdles but overall helps make review process better

Kommentare: It can seem a bit overwhelming and clunky to use at a start, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes an intrinsic part of making sure all stakeholders get a say, content is reviewed and approved according to process, and there's a clear audit trail.

Visibility of content review process for audit and governance.

Nachteile:

It's not the smoothest UX - could be more intuitive and friendly so easier to pick up.

Nice idea, but too many bugs

Kommentare: Better than marking up on paper for record keeping and the environment, but it's slower and more complicated. The archive search function is not efficient enough to use this as one's main catalogue.

Vorteile:

ability to forward to groups and have multiple feedback comments visible log in through google PDFs with markups good for records

Nachteile:

Ease of use - slow, clunky, buggy unwanted jobs cluttering approvals folder, and cannot delete them Text is an image only and selection tools are not the correct shape for line-line highlighting, so not good for copy editing

We're sorry to hear about your cluttered approvals screen though! There is a fix to the approvals screen that's coming out in this release, but sometimes a cluttered approvals screen is the result of failing to approve or request changes on an item. Vorteile:

hmmm.. setting up a project, although even this could be streamlined and made easier for users

Nachteile:

The software is clunky and hard to use; as well as time consuming. The process to submit and review documents needs to be more intuitive and streamlined. It is also hard to find olf projects.

Kommentare: Overall we experience a lot of issues with Admation for timeframes... the process can simply take too long with the multiple levels not being able to review simultaneously etc.

Vorteile:

It ensures peer review of work and keeps a valued audit trail.

Nachteile:

Clunky, the levels can make turn around times take too long. would be good if reviewers could leave feedback on the same document, like a google doc feature.

Hi Ella, Sorry to hear about your experience! It sounds like your team could really benefit from using Continuous approvals. This sends documents through to the second level even when the document is rejected at Level 1. That way, there's no real delay around seeing items even when there are changes requested on earlier versions, and essentially people end up viewing items almost simultaneously. To turn on continuous approvals, ensure the continuous box(es) are ticked when submitting an item for approval! Let us know how you go with this! Vorteile:

Seeing a full list of projects, their start and end times.

Nachteile:

It adds more steps to the process of sending and receiving creative, and I often get error messages.
