It lacks the visual and audio enhancements. If they only made it as pretty, fun to watch and hear (music etc) as Kahoot it would be almost perfect.

Great product

Kommentare: Overall a great experience, I have been using this software for about 2 years now and I continue to use it. The students love it as well as it helps them to assess their learning within the class.

Vorteile:

Is of use and that it can be used with mobile devices. Easy to update poll questions.

Nachteile:

The polls deactivate after a while so each time the class is run I have to go in and activate the polls I am going to use that semester. Maybe this is because I am using the free version of the software.

Be careful! You can't use this app for a once off event!

Not a difficult app. Easy to set up questions.

Nachteile:

I only needed it for one event and still had to pay for a year. It would have been great if there was options for shorter periods like a month. I will definitely be warning my colleagues and students at the university about this app - way too expensive for a one off event.

Okay Product, But Shockingly Poor Customer Service and Inflexible Policies

Kommentare: In October, I noticed a charge of $129.72 on my bank account—an account I no longer actively use since transitioning to a new job. This account was tied to my former small business, which I haven’t closed but am not currently operating. The charge caused my account to overdraft, which was not only stressful but also financially impactful. I reached out to Poll Everywhere immediately to explain the situation and request a refund, but what I received in return was a rigid, policy-driven response that completely ignored my unique circumstances. Despite me clearly stating that I no longer need or use the service—and the fact that I had used it only once—they refused to offer any flexibility or refund. They cited “fairness and consistency,” but it’s clear this approach serves their bottom line, not their customers. Why This Matters:
I am a journalist who produces independent documentary films. Anyone who has ever tried to build a small business or create independent films knows how difficult it is to stay afloat financially. What may seem like a small $129.72 charge to a company like Poll Everywhere is, in reality, a significant amount to those of us who are working hard to create something meaningful. It’s also incredibly frustrating that their process requires customers to jump through hoops, such as manually downgrading their accounts, even after stating they no longer want the service. They have no customer service phone number, forcing you to rely on slow, email-only communication. This makes resolving issues a time-consuming process that could be avoided with a simple phone call. A Missed Opportunity for Good Customer Service:
Policies should serve as guidelines, not barriers to doing the right thing. Good companies know when to consider context and make exceptions for honest mistakes, especially when the evidence is clear: no service usage for an entire year and an inadvertent overdraft. Instead, Poll Everywhere chose to hide behind their policy, demonstrating a lack of empathy and integrity. Consider These Alternatives:

Vorteile:

Live Audience Response to a Poll. I hosted one event in a theater where I wanted to ask the audience one question in real time and in a way they could immediately see what everyone else's answers were.

Nachteile:

Poll Everywhere offers a good product. If you’re looking for an interactive polling tool for presentations or events, the platform itself works well. I used it once at a live film screening to engage the audience, and it performed as expected. But while the product is decent, the customer service and company policies are incredibly disappointing.

Easy to create & implement, not as easy for users

Kommentare: It was a great free option for small meeting engagment, but not optimal for large groups and not super easy for participants to join.

Vorteile:

The competition feature of the live poll and the multiple options for participant responses.

Nachteile:

The difficulty participants have getting into the poll & using the app. I often get confused people who take time to join. Also the fact that I cannot moderate competitions easily from my app, and that participants can't see leaderboard in between questions on their app.

Vorteile:

Poll Everywhere was one of the first "text in" polling options available and I was an early adopter. I work on a college campus and I have used the software for everything from allowing students to text in their vote at a talent show to polling the audience during a talk to incoming students. Poll Everywhere allows for seamless connection to presentation software so you can easily integrate your polls into your slide deck. It's also easy for the audience to send in their response, even if they've never used the program. Finally, the realtime polls allow you to get instant feedback, so you know what your audience is thinking.

Nachteile:

I don't have many complaints with Poll Everywhere. I would say that they need some improvements in the their pricing options, but this is minor. The only adjustment I would like to see is a smaller price tag for a one time event.

I have been using Poll everywhere for a few years now and really enjoy it. It costs me nothing and it enhances my presentations.

Kommentare: Everything was really great to be honest it is very useful to everybody.

Vorteile:

It has a sense of urgency and you will be able to come up with the result on the time that you wanted. It was considered a nice tool for making a big group decision distantly it will allow every participant to share their sides through voting.

Nachteile:

Like least about the poll is that it cannot send information to everybody that they need to mandatorily cooperate to come up with an accurate result during the collecting of votes or responses.

Great Survey builder and also for polls

Kommentare: I have had a great overall experience using poll anywhere, and I use it to build effective polls. Several users create polls and surveys using the poll everywhere.

Vorteile:

My favourite aspect of Poll everywhere is that it can be used to design effective polls. The user interface is quite straightforward, easy to use, and beginner friendly. It makes the process of making polls seamless. Other applications can be integrated with it.

Nachteile:

As poll Perfect is the most popular of the others, I can't think of any drawbacks.

There is nothing negative about this software. It is very easy to use that anyone can pick it up and implement it for their needs. The technology is simple but effective and the interface is very appealing!

Kommentare: We used at a conference we recently co-hosted and will definitely be using again in the future.

Vorteile:

I have used Poll Everywhere in the past in college for classroom participation and thought it was great. However, more recently in my career we have used it at conferences I have been to that we have helped put on and it is a seamless way to do voting/ratings allowing people to be honest and anonymous.

Nachteile:

I don't have super extensive involvement and have not dealt with customer service, but always excellent in my limited experience.

Poll-Making Made Easy

Vorteile:

Customer Service has advanced into websites and social media in this modern day and age. It is also easier to receive customer feedback via online. One way to determine customer feedback is through polls. Poll Everywhere allows our team to determine various feedback. Since responses can be collected through text or Twitter, we are able to reach many customers. This polls are then submitted to our analyst or then presented during meetings. Poll everywhere is a great tool for companies within our industry.

Nachteile:

Customization is oftentimes difficult but it is tolerable since what matters is the poll.

Fun to use

Kommentare: Every time we have used Poll Everywhere it made our meetings fun and really made everyone connect to the discussion topic.

Vorteile:

We use this in our quarterly meetings and everyone in attendance can respond to the questions being asked. It's nice to see where we stand with everyone's input while we are at the meeting.

Nachteile:

If I had to say there was something that I didn't like about the software, I guess I could say that you get a little nervous answering some of the questions that your superiors are asking and wonder if they know how you, individually, are answering. But then I feel like if that answer is one of the choices, they must know there are employees that need to answer in that way.

Free live polling platform

Kommentare: I have used Poll Everywhere in live presentations to gauge audience feedback in an anonymous fashion. Without this resource, due to the nature of topics we were interested in seeking feedback around, we feared we might not get honest responses. Poll Everywhere allowed participants to safely provide honest feedback with a simple text from their cell phones that could be displayed in aggregate on a projected screen in our presentation space.

Vorteile:

Live polling that requires only a cell phone from users and easy set-up on the front-end by the administrator is fantastic. I liked the ease of set-up and the fact that I never encountered any glitches while using this software.

Nachteile:

The free plan (which I used) only allowed for 1 user, so our group had to create a master account that we could all access.

Effective interactive live audience participation tool

Vorteile:

I love Poll Everywhere as an interactive piece for presentations, anywhere from small presentations to my direct team, or having participated in larger town hall presentations where surveys are done live. Anytime you can use instant input to garner some buzz about some topic, you'll immediately get everyone's attention. The app is easy to use, interface works well, and company buy-in is convincing.

Nachteile:

I would like to see PE push the envelope in terms of adding layers of complexity to its surveying ability. Perhaps some sort of stratification among demographics that you user profiles could dictate.

Great for teachers, professors, training sessions etc.

Poll Everywhere does a great job of keeping people (whether that be students or people in a training session or meeting active and engaged). You really can't ask for much more than that.

Nachteile:

Not really too many cons I can think of here...it would be nice if the free version offered deletion, but not really a huge issue for a small scale trainings I have used it for.

Fun and interactive way to poll the classroom

Vorteile:

I like the different ways you can allow the users to answer. This site offers the ability to answer questions in a variety of ways such as select all, multiple choice, ranking, short answer. It keeps the user more interested. I also enjoy the fact that it shows the percentages of users who answered with a certain answer.

Nachteile:

Although its great to be able to see the percentages of users who answered with a certain answer, I have had issues with the users changing their answer due to this being visible. It is probably a setting that just needs to be changed on my end.

Dynamic Audience Participation!

Kommentare: I used Poll Everywhere to solicit audience participation during a presentation. It was very popular and I received praise from multiple attendees afterwards that they liked the novelty of being able to text a response, and that they felt more engaged. Technically, it worked without any difficulty and it was seamless. I look forward to using Poll Everywhere in the future!

Vorteile:

The ability to easily integrate live audience responses into a presentation. I also appreciate how simple it is to customize the software for your specific needs; there are tons of options to tweak the type of responses, how many responses are allowed, the time frame for collecting data, and how it is displayed. The web interface is easy to use, but I also appreciate having the ability to download a desktop version to integrate with presentation software.

Nachteile:

There is a slight learning curve to figuring out how to best set up questions. You can only collect responses for one question at a time, so managing this can be challenging at first. However, the software offers many ways to change it including timers, so it's easily manageable.

Fun way to get audience participation during presentations

Kommentare: We have used this during presentations to make audience participation fun and more quantitative than asking people to raise their hands.

Vorteile:

Easy to use, install and vote anonymously on questions during presentations. Makes audience participation fun and interesting with real-time voting statistics during the presentation.

Nachteile:

I personally enjoy using it but I can see how people who are shy may not want to participate during meetings and so they may find this application burdensome.

Poll Everywhere Review

Vorteile:

I really like that it's easy to use, and that you can change your subscription to use it only when you need it. It also has a lot of customizable stuff when you're setting up a poll.

Nachteile:

The feature that lets you embed the poll into a presentation software never really worked for me. It also doesn't have ProPresenter as one of the available presentation options, which is what we primarily use.

It was a great tool to keep listeners engaged during a presentation.

Vorteile:

Users do not need to do any prep work before a presentation in order to participate in the polls. There are tons of different options for types of polls. You can easily keep people engaged with a new question or poll every slide.

Nachteile:

It was not as easy to customize as I would have liked. You have to pay to customize and even when I paid they did not have our branded company colors. It was also a little touchy when you try to upload pictures as the background. It just takes a lot of work but eventually, I was able to customize the product and have a great presentation. The only other issue I had was it gets a little "iffy" when you have multiple people trying to give the presentation from different computers when we were not with each other. At one point I had to control the slideshow via Skype while watching my partner give the presentation in another state because he was unable to activate/deactivate the polls.

I have only used the free version, but for a free product, I haven’t found anything about which to complain.

I have not seen direct integration with third party tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams and think this would be beneficial.
