Great Product... will grow with your church - Used at a previous church and just got for new church

Vorteile:

If you are a small church that needs a good online database that doesn't break the bank, this is it. There are numerous features that you can choose what fits your particular ministry and have everything in one area... instead of needing 4-5 different programs to do it all. One of the best things is that you can add more and more names and then simply pay to upgrade to the next level as your church grows, so you don't have to waste money for a database of 1,000 if you only have 70 in your church currently! But (hopefully) as your church grows, you will have the finances to have the program expand with you. I also enjoy ChurchTrac as a pastor, because I can log in on my phone or iPad from wherever I am making a visit to add notes about the visit. We have also added multiple volunteers users who want to help make visits, send cards, make phone calls, etc who can add notes when they do so; there are great restriction capabilities available, so I can allow volunteers access to these note areas without allowing them access to giving records or more confidential pastoral counseling notes. We have also integrated this into our children's ministry/nursery area and purchased a Dymo label printer to give each child a name badge upon check in with emergency phone numbers and allergy warnings. Finally, the congregation access is awesome, so everyone can update their own information or get their own giving records whenever they would like to check!

Nachteile:

A few of the reporting features are somewhat limited and not able to be as customized as I would like, but this is such a minor issue compared to all the Pros that it's hardly worth mentioning... but it was a required field so I had to come up with something. I did have an issue when I wanted to add more volunteer users, but it was fixed within an hour of opening the ticket due to their AMAZING customer service!

Best software for churches at an inexpensive cost.

Church Trac Works For Me It Will Work For You!

Kommentare: Church Trac is tailored to religious organizations and I love that. My overall experience has been positive and provided greater transparency for the financial recording.

Vorteile:

I like the easy and flawless operation of Church Trac. You need no previous knowledge it is very user friendly and they are always ready and willing to assist if you have problems. All of York calls are answered and the assistance is very professional.

Nachteile:

Not sure if this is a con but I would have preferred if the expenses not be listed as minuses but rather just appear in the statement as expenses since it is understood they are already expenses.

Kommentare: ChurchTrac made it very easy to design a nice looking website. We keep our information updated weekly and it is very easy to do so.

Vorteile:

It is easy to navigate and update. It has a professional look about it even though we designed it ourselves.

Actually, I have no complaints about Churchtrac.

Great Platform & Technical Support

Kommentare: I have nothing but great experience with ChurchTrac. I have referred other churches to them.

Vorteile:

I love the ease of being able to categorize every type of gift that is given to the church. I like how they have everything on YouTube that you can go back and review. Also, the end of the year contribution statements make it so easy to print and send them out.

Nachteile:

I would like to have some of the webinars to be held in the evening for those who work during the day.

At this point, Churchtrac is working as we expected.

Kommentare: We explored several options to unify our member records. The preloaded fields along with customization, then with user limitations (and upgrade possibilities) made churchtrac the obvious choice. The pricing and program description and limitations were transparent. The Churchtrac team made it easy by importing the database, and I updated from there. Each step moving forward was met with individual help by the support team. The video lessons, particularly the introductory live meeting, helped me become better acquainted with features and possibilities. When we switched to accounting and budgeting, the team and help resources guided me in tweaking the program to best suit our needs. Some things are not yet available, but the team has been responsive in prioritizing requests for change.

Vorteile:

The most obvious benefit is the free onboarding with directory. This led directly to adopting the giving records option. The customization of records and ability to select from options that enhance the experience make Churchtrac tops in its field. Online training, personal support, and rapid response to questions make it seem our church is the most important to them. The free cloud-based database was the first step, as we had so many people keeping separate records. Messaging is easy enough even our less computer-savvy leadership has learned how to use the smart lists for texting and email. The accounting process simplified financial records—giving (auto-deposits), budgeting, reports, and synching with the bank.

Nachteile:

Some additional customizations are (or were) not yet available.

The best church management system out there!

Kommentare: This has been the best product we've found for church management systems. We've used it for several years. It's incredibly efficient, cost and time-saving. Their customer support is amazing and their tech support has been some of the best we've ever experienced. We've recommended this system to numerous sister churches because it's such a great, cost-effective system designed for churches.

Vorteile:

We love the ease of use and the intuitiveness of this system. It's overall design is perfect for churches - small churches in particular. The integration between giving and accounting is exceptional and has reduced the amount of time needed for accounting entries by our volunteer church treasurer. The communication system is awesome. But, best of all is the price - this is by far the best and most cost-effective product out there in church management systems.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it can be a little clunky, mostly little inconveniences that are outweighed by the benefits of this system.

Cost Effective and Flexible Platform

Kommentare: The transition to ChurchTrac was smooth, the app is not unnecessarily complicated (it's quite simple, in fact, without being simplistic), it has a first class help system that makes learning easy, customer support is responsive. Our experience has been very positive.

Vorteile:

ChurchTrac uses tags which allow you to sort information in almost unlimited ways. It's easy to create lists and filter users based on the criterion you select. It's also one of the more affordable products.

Nachteile:

While you can have an unlimited number of users access Church Connect (what I call the 'front end' of the system), the ChMS 'back end' is limited to 10 user accounts by default. You can request more but this limit is mainly for security. I feel like it would be useful if CT included some more fine-grained security settings so we can allow more of our users to access parts of the backend, particularly worship services and documents.

SIX STARS!!

Kommentare: I would recommend this to others. Our church was still doing this by hand then I started using an Excell spreadsheet and that left room for so many errors.

Vorteile:

Not only is ChurchTrac user friendly for an individual with no finance or business background, but the support and response time is phenomenal.

Nachteile:

I do wish it could pull transactions from the banking accounts.

It is a comprehensive program for managing my church. It is easy to use. Whenever I have had question or problem, the customer service team has been very helpful and responsive.

Nachteile:

I really haven't had any issues or problems that have caused me any headaches!

Powerful for managing multiple layers of ministry

Kommentare: Very powerful and very helpful. Task and project management is an essential tool for managing a volunteer team that is often remote

Vorteile:

Churchtrac allows me to develop my ministry strategies in a way that supports collaboration and team ownership. The Worship Scheduling gives me access to the songs that my team needs in the format that is best for them (some prefer chord sheets, some lead sheets, some paper, some on ipad: churchtrac allows each member of my team to download their own preferences individually)

Nachteile:

I don't use Twilio and found it a frustrating "hidden cost". Communication in churchtrac is limited without subscribing to Twilio (which can be more than twice as expensive as Churchtrac, itself). I would much prefer that Churchtrac offer existing common accounts like Google mail or Outlook.

ChurchTrac - the way to go for any church!

Vorteile:

Easy to set up. Plans for ALL status and sizes of churches.

Nachteile:

We are not a point of accessing everything available to us. So much capability with ChurchTrac, but we are not to the level we need to be in order use them all!

A Long Time

Kommentare: I was impressed with the program over a year ago, BUT it has taken this long to get the Board to agree to purchase the program. NEXT big sales job will be getting them to use it. At least the Pastor is pumped up over the possibilities.

Vorteile:

The helpful videos and so far the quick responses to questions posted.

Nachteile:

Sometimes your videos get ahead of a first-timer raise more questions than we can comprehend. Then we have to wait for a response or struggle through it to find out what will happen.

Love This System!

Vorteile:

As the Treasurer, I love the Accounting module. It has greatly enhanced our ability to manage the church’s funds in a clear and concise manner.

Nachteile:

I have no cons about the system as I personally only use the Accounting module.

Very Helpful Church Software

Kommentare: The experience with ChurchTrac as a company has been amazing. The customer support is great, and I do see them slowly adding features. I look forward to seeing how this will grow even better over time.

Vorteile:

The people management works great, and there are many ways to message people. The donor management and accounting features integrate well together. The scheduling of volunteers has made the process much easier. The distinction between accounts and funds makes it easy for churches, and running financial and budget reports is very easy. Overall the software is amazing and the customer support has been very quick and SO helpful!

Nachteile:

There are a couple of little quirks. For those in Canada, it does not use double value entry accounting, so I have to enter the HST amount in the note line, export it as a CSV file, and then add it that way. It can still be tracked but it takes a few extra steps. Our worship team does not like it as much as previous software when it comes to using it on the platform in a service.

The best software platform for a church

Easy Program to Use!

Kommentare: ChurcTrac has an easy to use customer service portals to ask questions when you’re stuck with something. The nice thing is the turnaround response is super fast and you don’t have to wait days for a response back. Typically in minutes if it’s during a standard business hours.

Vorteile:

The system is easy to use. Has a lot of great functions under one system. I can manage communications, online giving, email and text alerts and use it as an all function.

Nachteile:

I wish there was a different option and using just Twilio for text message feature. But once you get it set up and jump through all the Twilio’s hoops it’s not that bad. ChurchTrac makes it very easy though once you get it going

Great Membership Database

Kommentare: My experience with ChurchTrac has been nothing but great. Their customer service is fabulous. They are very quick to answer any questions and help solve any problems you might encounter. The database is very comprehensive and for the most part easy to use.

Vorteile:

The ease of entering new members and the many reports that can be generated as needed.

Nachteile:

The database does a whole lot more than we need for our small church. The cost is a bit pricey, in my opinion. I think when we started using the database it was reasonable, however as time has passed and the developers have added so many features, it is way more than we need. I wish they had an abbreviated version for small churches.

Very Friendly and Easy to Use

Kommentare: Have had a good experience with all of it. Especially with inquiries. Churchtrac is great at getting quick responses and working at resolving any issues.

The ease of inputting and tracking of donations and member information

Nachteile:

Setting up report pages (margins, size, etc). Some reports I wanted to customize were a little challenging but doable. Mainly because I dont have all the expertise in customizing reports anyway.
