ClassDojo helps keep communication open with parents

Kommentare: It is worth every bit of time getting on there to have a good relationship with the parents.

Vorteile:

As a teacher I now find it simpler to exchange various updates and images with my parents thanks to ClassDojo. I have been using ClassDojo around 2-3 years now and have only slightly had issues, which were mostly navigating the site. But using ClassDojo has not only kept me in contact with parents but their homeroom teachers as well, and lets me posts the fun things my students do when I have them in my classes.

Nachteile:

I seem to get easily lost when trying to navigate the site. I think the screen can be too busy so I overlook the particular thing I am looking for.

For the classroom

Kommentare: the kids in class love it along with the parents, the kids love getting points to use for the games.

Vorteile:

It creates a great way to keep in touch with parents.

Nachteile:

the cost for premium turns off alot of the parents

A must have for all classroom teacher!

Kommentare: My students were so invested in our class account and l loved all the features available for at home use.

Vorteile:

I love that parents can be notified of activities in the classroom and how the student's feel a sense of autonomy of points.

Nachteile:

As I haven't used this platform since I was a teacher a few years ago, I can't say much on the cons. I loved using this as a classroom teacher!

Class Dojo

Kommentare: Handles multi children under one parental account. Easy to toggle to different students/teachers. Private message options.

Vorteile:

Quick access to my childs teachers and notifications from the school.

Nachteile:

Not many teachers keep class dojo updates. It can take a long time to get a response.

Amazing Software for Educators.

Kommentare: My overall experience with ClassDojo is positive. It's one of the best programs that I have ever used as a teacher. It helps parents and teachers to stay in contact throughout the day. It helps motivate students to work to their full potential.

Vorteile:

ClassDojo is one of the best software teachers have available for their classrooms. Every school district should have this integrated. I like most that I can keep parents informed about their students throughout the day. I love that I can upload pictures of the students working on assignments. I have noticed that parents love being able to see what we are doing for the day. I also like that parents can participate by giving their children points for doing activities around the house. It does not have to be things for school but things like going to bed, cleaning up toys, or eating dinner.

Nachteile:

Absolutely nothing. I can not think of one negative thing to say about ClassDojo.

Great for Parents!

Vorteile:

ClassDojo is the perfect application for parents and teachers to interact. Teachers can easily give parents updates on how their child is progressing in class. Teachers can upload pictures of the students, they can keep track of assignments, and they can give students points for doing activities around the classroom and at home. My child is in elementary school and her teacher has ClassDojo. Every day my daughter wants me to check how many points she received each day. It feels like a game for them. I like that, as a parent, I can give her points for brushing her teeth, eating all her food, and going to bed each night. ClassDojo helps motivate my daughter to do well in everything she does.

Nachteile:

The only con would be you need to pay for a subscription to get all of the bells and whistles.

A teacher's best friend

Vorteile:

This app is literally like a teacher's best friend. It makes communicating with parents a breeze and there is always a record on the conversation. It encourages positive student behavior and makes classroom management so much easier. To top it all off, the students LOVE IT!

Nachteile:

Nothing...I loved everything about it as a teacher!

The Best System.

Kommentare: My overall experience is great it was an app that i never knew i needed until i gave it chance and i like it. I love seeing the praises and the goof notes that my child is having.

Vorteile:

What I most like about Class Dojo is that I can see everything and I can get daily updates about what is going on. I love that and I can realt time conversation or jsut a littel quick reach out if that what is what i need at the moment.

Nachteile:

There is never a dull moment I never have to complain or worry about anyrthing going wrong.

Great tool for teachers

Kommentare: Class dojo is a great tool for communication between schools and families. It can be broad to include the entire school in a message or narrowed down to specific classrooms or even individual families/students. You can include graphics and pictures with messages as well. Works well for my school.

Vorteile:

It's an effective means of communication between schools and families

Nachteile:

Getting families set up and going it's probably the hardest part about using it. Especially families that are resistant to using it

The more practical way of keep on track with the school life

Kommentare: I’ve being using Classdojo for about 7 years since and I don’t know how people could do it before this app! It’s a lot of help for parents like me , who usually have a lot on their plate, making it easy to keep track

Vorteile:

What I like most about classdojo is the feeling of not missing out anything important happening at school simply because all the dates, information and necessary communications with the school are on this same platform

Nachteile:

"ClassDojo" for Classroom Management

Kommentare: Our Program's overall experience with "ClassDojo" has been a success between the student's Families and Teachers.

Vorteile:

Our Program find "ClassDojo" to be a very resilient digital tool to support Families and Teachers to enhance their student's learning and behavior.

Nachteile:

What our Program found least about "ClassDojo" to assist our staff members would be the "Attendance Tracking" due to our Program having already established an attendance tracking system; however, if we didn't, we would gladly use "ClassDojo" Attendance Tracking.

Class Dojo - when my kids were in school

Kommentare: Class Dojo helped me stay in touch with what my child was doing. I was able to locate what assignments were missing and what my child might have not turned in and then I could directly communicate with my child about the missing subject without really having to bother the teacher throughout the day.

Vorteile:

Class Dojo allowed me to know in a snapshot of where my child was in their learning. I was able to locate what studies they were doing and if he or she was missing an assignment and it helped keep the communication open between me, the parent, and the teacher.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, I had a hard time logging in, but that might have just me and my age of using electronics. Once, I was signed it, it was easy to use.

Kommentare: good- RAther than using emails etc it is user friendly and chilren can also use.

Vorteile:

Notifications can be sent live to phones and tablets. Teachers can messege with updates about clubs and term times etc

Nachteile:

Alot of information can be generic and not apply to our child

Kommentare: It is a great tool for parent teacher communication and staying up to date on your child's schooling.

Vorteile:

I like the photos and videos that get posted of my child and the chat feature and important updates about my child that I receive.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the push notifications don't come through and i might get information later than I would have liked.

Excellent Way to Communicate

Kommentare: I absolutely love being able to communicate with my children's teachers, get class updates and see photos they post throughout the day.

Vorteile:

I love that parents and teachers can be in contact without having to share our personal phone numbers. I also love that the teachers can message all parents without it being a "group chat" where we have to hear everyone's comments.

Nachteile:

Many of the features require a subscription. It seems that some of the features should be available on the free version.

I have had three children, most teachers in elementary school use class dojo, I enjoy this app as it lets me keep up with everything that the student does in class

Nachteile:

Nothing great app, there hasn’t been any issues

I loved being able to chat with my child's teacher in real time to find out how they were doing throughout the day.

Nachteile:

I loved ClassDojo and do not have anything bad to say about it.

Great Classroom Tool

Vorteile:

The kids LOVE being able to see their points they earn each day. I love the messaging features.

Nachteile:

Parents often turn off the notifications so it only helps with those that want to participate.

Sharing photos or information with a group of parents could be used in a negative way.

Feeling good while my kid at school

Vorteile:

I like the communication that it provides with the educator or my child. It is important to feel this way and ClassDojo makes it happen. We also love the little character you can create for the little one.

Nachteile:

Haven’t been enough time on the app. However everything seems great.

One of the best integrated learning tool

Vorteile:

It's ability to build an amazing classroom feeling while accessing it on-line for students, teachers and families. The positive reinforcements it has encourages learners to strive more and continue to work hard while enjoying their tasks.

Nachteile:

Found that it caused a bit of competition and tension amongst the kids ,which results in kids focusing more on the competition side rather than the learning part .

ClassDojo for HS

Vorteile:

I love how ClassDojo can randomly select students and therefore it takes the pressure off of me and I love how you can select different background music.

Nachteile:

I wish that there were more selections of background music to choose from. I feel like the options haven't changed in awhile.

A Needed Dojo

Kommentare: I like it and I continue to use it because it is a high quality app

Vorteile:

I like this it is user friendly. It allows all level users to feel confident using it.

Nachteile:

I do not like the price. I think it should allow a few more basic/free functions
