Great experience working with Wizehive - knowledgeable, supportive assistance, product easy to use!

Vorteile:

It makes sense - it's easy to use and easy to learn! It has helped me take a time-consuming project (collecting scholarship applications) and simplify the process. Wizehive also comes with a knowledgeable staff, who is very helpful and walks me through the application and review processes. For me, learning a new software program can be daunting, but the software was easy to learn, and the online support allowed me to see and talk through each learning step. It gave me the confidence I needed to make the most effective use of this product for our Foundation scholarship program. In fact, when the Membership Department saw how Wizehive worked for our Foundation scholarship program, they decided they wanted to use it for their student competitions, and their competitions include video clips! This software is very versatile, easy to use, and adaptable to the many situations.

Nachteile:

I really do not have any cons about this software. I enjoy working with it; it has met our needs.

Wize Way to Manage: A Grant Management Game Changer

Vorteile:

What I appreciate most was the intuitive dashboard menu, which will allow our organization to effortlessly track and manage our grants. The interface for admin staff, external reviewer, and grantees is easy to navigate. The robust reporting features offer valuable insights, enabling us to make data-driven decisions and optimize our grant management process. The customizable workflows have allowed us to tailor the system to our unique needs, which we believe will result in enhanced efficiency. Additionally, I am impressed by the exceptional customer support provided by the WizeHive team, who are always responsive and helpful as I've needed assistance during the onboarding process.

Nachteile:

While I'm extremely pleased with our WizeHive subscription, we encountered some drawbacks during the onboarding process. Specifically, I discovered a few features mentioned in our initial sales call were not part of our subscription package and would require an additional fee, which was prohibitively expensive for our small organization. Also, some key functionalities that tipped the scales for us in favor of WizeHive over other grant management systems are not yet available but are expected to be added in future updates.

New Impressed User

So far, our Implementation Manager has helped us solve all of the problem we have encountered and has taken our feedback seriously and passed it to the Dev team. Everyone is responsive and understanding and we feel like they really tried their best to make the product what we needed it to be to fit our program!

Nachteile:

There is a lot of room for improvements and development, so we look forward to seeing that progress as we start our journey with WizeHive!

Not worth the money

Kommentare: Overall, this system is not user friendly. I find myself spending so much time going through their help center documents. When I don't find a solution to my problem, I have no choice but to contact customer service which is a headache. It takes them about 24 hours to reply to urgent matters and most of the time they provide a complicated solution which they assume we would know how to do. We pay thousands of dollars every year not to have 24/7 customer service or for WizeHive not to make better improvements to the system. The only major change that they have done this year was redesigning the login page.

Vorteile:

It does the basics that every other platform does. The application from the applicant side and review portals are easy to use.

Nachteile:

-There's no support provided via phone unless you email them first and schedule a meeting (which takes a few days for urgent matters). -Emails usually end up in spam folders. -You can't duplicate applications or move them to the next year's cycle which is frustrating if you've deferred an applicant. -The letter generator plugin is not the greatest. You can't insert certain information which means you will probably have to do write the letters manually. -Recreating all the forms for each year -Submitted and incomplete (unsubmitted) applications are all saved in one place. -The system does not automatically email applicants about the final decision. You will have to do this manually via your own email. -The survey form has very limited functions. -Applications that are submitted but do not have transcripts and letters of recommendations show up as completed on the back-end. You will have to go through every submitted application to make sure they have completed 100% of your requirements. This again takes a lot of time to go through if you have a lot of applicants. These are just some of the things the system is unable to do.

Positive Experience with WizeHive - Excellent training, support, and resources

Kommentare: Working with WizeHive has been a quality experience that has made grant and program management much easier for our team. We are thrilled to be working together over the next few years on our current program and look forward to looking for other efforts we could incorporate WizeHive into in the future. Administrators, applicants, and reviewers all report positive experiences with using WizeHive.

Vorteile:

WizeHive has proven to be a wonderful solution for our program. We are currently running a large multi-year grant funding competition and needed a system that could meet our needs for proposal collection, application review, reporting, and other elements of grant management. WizeHive has been a perfect fit. The training experience with [sensitive content hidden] was excellent. [sensitive content hidden] always answered questions thoroughly and quickly solved problems as we worked together to create our first fully-functioning application portal. During our application acceptance period, no applicants reported having any issues with the WizeHive system. Everything worked so smoothly! Reviewers have also had a smooth experience while reviewing applications. The support staff is also quick to response with helpful resources.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if we could have the capacity to allow multiple files to be uploaded in one question in an application where relevant.

My Zengine Experience with WizeHive

Kommentare: It has been wonderful. I've launched my share of platforms in my career and this was as well-planned, structured, and executed as any of the best I've experienced.

Vorteile:

I like everything about WizeHive, but hands down the cherry on top was our implementation lead, [sensitive content hidden]. Maybe all the leads are exactly the same -- I hope so, for the sake of everyone else -- but the success of our platform and launch is credited to the team leader. I cannot say enough good things about his intelligence to build, troubleshoot, test, reconfigure, and train me all while thinking of our needs, what we would need next, and what I didn't yet know. His technical talent is matched by his patience and priority of wanting our foundation and me to be set up for success from start to finish. I got that impression also in my calls with [sensitive content hidden]; instead of giving me bullet points of all things WizeHive, he asked questions about what we had, what we needed, what we wanted, and what we saw as our future needs. [sensitive content hidden] seems to be on that same wagon and I am thrilled to have the support system for this product.

Nachteile:

I can't really think of anything I would consider a con. I would have liked to know more going in, but our foundation's timeline did not allow -- we were coming up on our next scholarship cycle and there was no time to waste -- but having training modules is very helpful. I refer back to them and hope they keep coming.

Wroking with WizeHive

Kommentare: The training and set-up have been excellent and have added to our overall satisfaction with the product.

The flexibility the tool provides for building each stage of the process and the ease with which the admins can update, change or fix issues.

Nachteile:

I wish you could see more records per page in the dashboard

Rapidly Customizable & Scalable Solution with Endless Possibilities

Vorteile:

1. Implement an idea into a fully functional solution in Production within minutes. 2. Correct and modify configurations with clients and end-users in real-time. 3. Designed to empower system owners and administrators to meet the demands of their clients and super users. 4. Ongoing system upgrades and enhancements to improve configuration capabilities of the system and user experience. 5. Direct and quick customer support when built in Help & FAQ aren't able to answer questions.

Nachteile:

While the system's capabilities to scale are incredible, there are some missing features or issues that haven't been addressed yet that would add a greater measure of use by both Administrators and end users. - Unable to conditionally require Date fields to be before or after another Date field - End users are unable to print/save full applications once completed. (Review Portals only recently received this capability) - Workspaces (Databases), are unable to connect to each other to share data and improve reporting capabilities - Built-in Reporting Functionality, while extremely helpful, has limitations that cause it to be very bulky, restricted, and can make it difficult to use - Features and configurations can often be buried deep within menus and take time to navigate to - Unable to bulk upload or download attachments to or from records - Unable to send attachments by Bulk Email - Review Portal, user-directed configurations limited What is extremely important for the reader to understand from my items listed above is that when you have a system that is capable of achieving almost all of your business needs and opens the door to a million possibilities, it can become incredibly frustrating when small or specific aspects of the system are not capable of being configured or scaled. It is the give and take of using an incredible configuration management system. Once you get used to having the ability to configure almost anything you want, its hard not to want even more!

Review of WizeHive for Application and Grant Management

Kommentare: Overall, we have had a positive experience with WizeHive. The staff are responsive to our needs, and take the time to understand what we need from the system in order to meet our goals. As noted about, our implementation lead went "over and above" in developing customize forms/processes to help our grant making process go as smoothly as possible. He also took a lot of time ensure our organization's staff were well trained on how to use the system.

Vorteile:

We used WizeHive to manage several different application processes, and a grant management/reimbursement process. For the application process, we liked that both the application and the review process was built into the system, allowing for a more streamlined process for both applicants and reviewers. We also liked that the forms and fields were customizable to ensure we were collecting the information we needed.For our grant management/reimbursement process, we had an extra level of complexity to what we needed the system to do given how we reimbursed our grantees. Our WizeHive implementation lead worked with us to understand how to set up the system to best meet our needs and customized various forms and processes within the system to meet those needs.

Nachteile:

One feature we think would be helpful is if there is a way that applicant organizations could allow multiple staff within their organization to access their organization's applications or reimbursement forms. Currently, an organization is limited to one username/password to access their application portal. Unless the organization shares that username/password with others within their agency, this means that they are limited to only one particular individual having access. It would also be helpful if the system allow an organization to have an overall organization account, and then within that account access various funding oppournities. Presently, each funding opportunity essentially requires a different account. As we have the same agencies that apply for various funding opportunities, they have to create (and remember) different log-in information for each separate funding opportunity.

Perfect for DIY Grant Management

Kommentare: Overall, our team is very happy with Wizehive, and we would absolutely use Wizehive again and recommend the platform. I hope that the software team continues to make aesthetic and functional updates, but as it is the platform does 98% of what we need it to, very well.

Vorteile:

Wizehive has all of the features a grant administrator needs to centralize everything from communication with grantees, to the application itself, to the review process, to the final decision-making. It's been incredibly helpful for managing a program with >100 applicants, and we can track every submission from beginning to end, all in one place. The data view in particular lets you filter and cut applicant data every which way, and all of the forms relevant to one applicant are linked to each other, so even that is centralized. During the implementation process, our point person was flexible, fast, and responsive, and lived up to what we expected from our salesperson. For its price, Wizehive was the only platform we looked at with such an in-depth level of implementation support, and for that it's definitely singular.

Nachteile:

Because Wizehive comes with so much customization, it takes a while to get the hang of, so a team definitely needs a dedicated person to spend some time getting familiar with the platform. Options and consequences are not always intuitive, so you might change something without realizing that you are breaking something else, especially among the submission portal, forms, review process, and review portal. I also wish that the data view would let you batch-select applicants--with so many, it's fairly tiring to move them into different folders one-by-one. Finally, summarizing review information from a review form only lets you do a certain menu (averaging, summing, etc. scores), and I wish that could instead be a custom formula.

WizeHive Review

Kommentare: My overall experience with WizeHive is great. Our previous scholarship management solution did not evolve quickly enough to meet the demands of our growing organization. WizeHive provides consistent updates and quality of life changes to meet these growing demands on a reliable basis.

Vorteile:

WizeHive offers a variety of features intended to make the user-experience clear. My favorite features including autoemails set up, mass editing/deletion of records, and mass data import/export.

Nachteile:

The most important feature I believe is missing is cross-form mapping. Right now, Profile information can be mapped to any form within a submission portal, but additional forms cannot be mapped to each other in that same portal. Cross-form logic is also missing. It would be easier to be able to link a question in a form with logic building off a question earlier in the application.

Simple to use - self explanatory

Kommentare: My overall experience has been a good one. The best experience I have is when I can speak with a person at Wizehive for what are complicated questions that I have. It's hard to express your issues in a support ticket, because of that you don't always get the right answers and have to keep asking thru the support ticket. If you could speak with someone, they better understand what you're trying to do and your issues.

Vorteile:

That the applicant can log in to their application and see what they did last year, they can also see where their application is in the process, emails are simple to send and you have control over the emails being sent

Nachteile:

I wish that Wizehive had an 800 number - a number you can call and speak with someone. I don't like that I have to send an email stressing that I need to talk to someone. Speaking with a live person is so very helpful and it's the one thing that I feel Wizehive is lacking...in a big way

Implementing zengine from select

Kommentare: There are technical areas of improvement but overall the customer support quality has been excellent. Customer support crew as well as account managers are responsive, helpful, patient and thoughtful. That is one of the best experience of being a wizehive customer so far.

Vorteile:

The two top favorite features of Zengine that did not exist in Select are: 1) Data dashboard and 2) Side by side screen for evaluation form (Review portal). The former prevents us from downloading millions of excel spreadsheet to do data filtering to understand who is coming through our application - and the latter is a much better user experience for evaluator volunteers that we recruit every year. Thank you for these changes.

Nachteile:

I hope there is more HTML/design element we can add on the platform - whether it is form creation, email templates, evaluator form... we use Form Assembly in many parts of our work and it has more design capacity (color, fonts, logo, insert graphics, etc). Also the degree of non-English customization was limited in comparison to our needs and we had to take two of our programs (Spain and Colombia) off Wizehive, which was unfortunate.

The best system for both front end user and back end staff satisfaction. Best decision we made!

Kommentare: We use the WizeHive Zengine platform for our grant system. We have both submission portals and review portals related to the two grant programs we provide in Florida. It's being utilized just by those of us connected specifically to the USTA Florida Section Foundation in an effort to manage the grant application and review process.

Vorteile:

- It has made the application, which is almost identical to the application questions previously displayed by our old service, seem less daunting and more user friendly to grant applicants. - The grant review team has exclaimed that the side-by-side review option is the best feature ever invented and has saved them loads of paper. - Internally, I appreciate the ease of use of the back end system. Being able to easily assign grants to reviews both in and outside the organization, easily create queries for the stats I need, and the ability to move application through the steps of the system seamlessly make this my top choice since I'm the only staff member dedicated to the Foundation which leaves me with lots on my plate to balance.

Nachteile:

I haven't found any yet. At this point, I'm thrilled with each of the features and the ease of use of the system.

Excellent Value for the Money

Kommentare: Data management is actually something I look forward to now that we have Zengine, and even those on our team who use the system less frequently agree. It is a relatively complex application and requires some time to get familiar with the structure, but we've found the time investment to be well worth it. In fact, the effort we've put into setting up the database to fit our needs is saving us time as we increase the number of records and enabling us to improve other workflows outside of the Zengine space. We highly recommend it and in fact have already done so with another grantmaker.

Vorteile:

Zengine has completely transformed our workflow and allowed us to organize applications, grant disbursements, and review processes in a way we never could have managed using Google Docs and email. Those of us who use the system regularly can easily find what we are looking for, and we have confidence that data isn't slipping through the cracks. The dashboard views are helpful for our board, and we are already getting a glimpse of how we can use the database to create robust reports.

Nachteile:

The only thing we miss is the ability to be notified (e.g. by email) if something has been submitted through the portal by an external user. But we've found a satisfactory workaround.

Great product and even better customer service.

Vorteile:

Very customizable forms and super helpful automation through Zapier. The customer support is very extensive, with an orientation to teaching the customer how to help themselves and make their own changes. Very refreshing approach. The grant reviewer experience is also very streamlined.

Nachteile:

The amount of customization means this product will take time to learn or feel comfortable with for new or less experienced users.

Internship Application Process Made So Much Easier

Kommentare: We have used WizeHive for our summer internship application process and have been very, very happy with it -- it's made it so much easier for us to manage the applications we receive and to assemble data. In particular, the review functionality has streamlined our process and avoided wasteful copying. After the initial set-up, we haven't needed much support from year to year, which is terrific - but when we do they are very responsive.

Vorteile:

Overall, the whole system works really well, and the reporting function is terrific.

Nachteile:

The e-mails to references seem to get caught in SPAM filters fairly often, which creates some administrative burden to follow up with those persons. And since we use the system only once a year, it is a bit pricey.

WizeHive has been a phenomenal partner - excellent product and customer service!

Kommentare: No more paper applications! Easy to track scholarship winners and process scholarship payments! Easy for scholarship selection committees to access applications from their homes - no more running to the Foundation's office to pick up paper applications and distribute them to their committee members. Much easier for students to apply for scholarships!

Vorteile:

Our scholarship program grew to the point that we were no longer able to process paper applications. Many of our scholarships are unique - some require applications, others are team or coach selected. We needed a customized scholarship platform that could allow us to continue administering all of our scholarships and provide an easy way to track scholarship winners and process scholarship payments. WizeHive's Zengine product was the perfect solution to our scholarship program's needs!

Nachteile:

The first year we implemented the software, there were a couple of things that I thought could be improved. The WizeHive team listened to my comments and has come up with solutions to make the process even better this year!

We LOVE WizeHive

The support team did an amazing job creating our platform. They were extremely helpful and always there to guide or answer questions. WizeHive is user friendly from the admin side all the way to the grant application review teams. The portal looks fantastic on a desktop, laptop, and phone. The attachments can be viewed from all the above devices. Super happy with WizeHive!

Nachteile:

We still need to build our reports. Not a con, only thing that isn't perfect yet.

WizeHive is Making My Job Easier and More Manageable

Kommentare: I needed a way to keep track of many moving parts—requests from nonprofits, building and maintaining a consulting network to match know-how with needs, paperwork like contracts, W-9’s and final reports. The matching capability was an important feature. I am new to using it but so far, I am impressed by how helpful and easy it is to use and I know already it will make my life less painful and better organized.

Vorteile:

I was very impressed with the attention paid to training and coaching prior to fully launching. It was well organized and easy to practice and get help if I ran into a question. By the way, I am not a sophisticated user and felt daunted by learning how to use and be the admin for this platform. They knew how to build my confidence and competence.

Nachteile:

I look forward to innovations down the road that will help make reporting easier to my funders and oversight committee. In my particular situation, I would like to be able to more seamlessly share information from the consultant intake form ( like resumes/bios) in Zengine with the nonprofits that matched with them.

2018 WizeHive Review

Vorteile:

I like that WizeHive is very user friendly and can be easily taught to those of all skill levels. Also, it is a great way to manage files and applications we receive. Lastly, the ability to create reports is a great tool.

Nachteile:

WizeHive works well for our application process. There isn't anything about it that poses a challenge to our process.

Great Product

Vorteile:

WizeHive provided an incredible implementation lead (Dan) to get our fellowship platform active. He provided novel ideas and features to make sure both the application and review process ran seamless. The product is solid and easy to navigate. Also, the support staff turnaround time on troubleshooting problems is faster than the speed of light.

Nachteile:

I liked everything about the product. I have nothing to add here.
