GetSatisfaction is a great tool for businesses.
Vorteile: I'm reviewing GetSastisfaction from a user standpoint. I've had a few companies that used GS and had to go there for support. On one hand, the forum type community setup is remarkably easy to search and scroll for help. Utilizing the user community helps people get answers quicker, and leaves a huge resource behind for other people searching for the same answers. Since it's built for mobile integration, it makes it easy to get support quickly whether you're on a computer or mobile device.
Nachteile: Unfortunately, while it does make it quicker to find answers sometimes, it does tend to make a company appear standoffish at times. Leaving customer support mostly to users means that a lot of times the answers end up being "Well you have to contact the company, we don't work for them" anyway. Sometimes some users can have an attitude, which looks bad on the company unintentionally. While I get that it saves the company some money, perhaps hiring some customer support agents to actually work the forums wouldn't go amiss. While GetSatisfaction is a great tool for businesses, it's just that- a tool, and needs to be utilized within a varied customer framework setting, not as the only option.

An okay community based platform, with a few hiccups
Vorteile: I like the view, and organization of the UI; it's friendly enough on the eyes and occasionally easy to navigate.
Nachteile: Most of the time it's difficult to navigate, when attempting to access information for, often redirecting and sending myself in loops; not bad necessarily, but it'd be nice to see some of the information need housed on the same page of post (like relevant email/username).

integrates nicely with Salesforce Support Cloud
Kommentare: From the technical integration perspective it was a painless effort to configure GetSatisfaction to synch with Salesforce's Support Cloud. Our support team can now let the Get Sat community attempt to provide answers before dedicating internal support staff resources...all while managing the status of discussions from within Salesforce. Get Satisfaction produced a very clean and simple approach to accomplishing this.
