Vorteile:

I do like the standard pricing of the Shop Boss, it starts with $199/month

Nachteile:

The feature "Responsive website" is only indicated at premier subs. Which cost around $399/month. Well it supposed to be responsive in every plan.

Kommentare: Well put a request in for a demo, Got a phone call right after the holiday weekend from [sensitive content hidden] which is very transparent about cost and everything the system offers.

How every little thing is integrated and built in the software to run the shop smoothly

Nachteile:

No complaints, It's Definity everything i think any shop needs to have to keep everything organized. and [sensitive content hidden] was absolute amazing on the Demonstration.

Stay away from this software

Kommentare: It is one of the biggest most costly mistake I have made in my 16 years in business and know I feel stuck with it.

Vorteile:

Nothing so far, A lot of talk from them and any obvious flaws they claim they are aware of and will be fixed in the imaginary update that never appears. Also if you join there private help groups and you don't pretend to like there software they ban you and remove your comments.

Nachteile:

Customer support is non existent. Software is expensive and counter intuitive

Kommentare: We use Shop Boss every day for roughly 3 years. Always easy to use.

Vorteile:

Very user friendly. Customer support is very responsive. Outages are rare and quickly addressed. Lots of features and integrations. Customer suggestions considered and new features and updates regularly added.

Nachteile:

No offline usage. There are small features that would be nice. Being able to re-open a RO in the search screen. Being able to choose colors for categories.

Shop Boss Review

Kommentare: Shop boss is a great software, it isn't perfect but no one is perfect. I highly recommend shop boss.

Vorteile:

The software is very windows based, so easy to work with, it's "click and play". The team at shop boss is interactive with their clients and very responsive to suggestions to make the product better. They have a dedicated support team available by chat during business hours and respond to email queries within one day typically.

Nachteile:

The inventory system needs work - but guess what? As stated above, they are hugely responsive and they are working on fixing it! It would be nice if their reports explained a little better what data they were pulling (sometimes it doesn't make sense what information is presented) but again, if you contact support they will explain everything to you.

Good POS for an auto shop, needs some updates

The only thing consistent with ShopBoss is it is down, and "being worked on"

Kommentare: Just know we are severely disappointed.

Vorteile:

When our current owner purchased the business from the previous owner, he used ShopBoss and we just carried it over since the staff was familiar with it so thats the only reason we use it.

Nachteile:

The fact that it is so consistently down, or being worked on. And all we get is a sorry. Funny that the billing is NEVER down, or the ability for them to charge our cards is NEVER down. Our shop depends on this program to work for our shop to run seamlessly. However, we can't depend on that. This week so far (Thursday) it has been down twice for HOURS. The first day, we had customers waiting and our techs were in the middle of jobs when it went down, we had no way for them to pay--or even open Work Orders to see them, so the amount of people who walked out with free work is asinine. All because the program doesn't work like it is supposed to--like we pay for it to work.

Great Company to work with

Vorteile:

The ShopBoss community is great, they are very responsive if you have an issue that needs to be addressed and are very open to the communities feedback to make this system even better.

Nachteile:

I feel like there are some pretty big bugs out there still that have not been addressed, one of my biggest cons with ShopBOSS is the integrated chat feature, it hardly gets used due to lack of notifications and how disorganized it can get.

The handy dandy shopboss

Kommentare: At first it was a little overwhelming. With all of the different things your capable of doing with shopboss. From ordering parts yourselve to keeping up with expense reports.

Vorteile:

That there is no mire piecing together report to see how your shop is performing. Whether your making money or losing mobey. Shopboss keeps track of it for you saving you time you would be waising on putting reports together.

Nachteile:

So farci haven't found any 1 thing i can't tolerate about shopboss. Its everything you could ask for in a shop management siftware

Awesome all In one shop software

Kommentare: Easy to get set up and quick. User friendly interface made it even easier to learn. Everything you need is right in front of you from obtaining vin reports and history to ordering tires. Made my life so much easier. 5 plus stars! Highly recommend.

Great Product/ Streamline Implementation/Superior Customer Service

Kommentare: BIG time saverExcellent at staying up with where the vehicle is in our process.

Vorteile:

I was in this business before computers were. I wasn't thrilled (to put it mildly) to integrate computers into my workplace. It was however a necessity. I have hated most softwares that I had to use. We changed over from a software that was cumbersome and had many less features. I hate change! It was really easy however with the support crew that is always a click away. I am a computer dummy, but the girls in the support section are a Godsend to me. They never get impatient with me, or get frustrated with my ignorance regarding computers. I absolutely refuse to change from Shop Boss primarily because of the stellar support group. I just cannot say enough about that team!

Nachteile:

I would like to be able to send the same text to two or more phones on the repair order at the same time. can't use the "workflow" window because I cannot see enough at once.

Kommentare: Originally this company was family owned and the Overall experience was like dealing with family, then when they moved to the next level, the only thing that changed was more features, better resources and more friendly family to deal with!!

Vorteile:

From The integrated inspection feature, to the ease of creating unlimited canned jobs, to the way the software communicates with some of my marketing partners, where do I start? Where do I end? It’s good!!

Nachteile:

Only con I can think of is that we didn’t switch sooner!!

Very easy to change over from expensive system I was using. Very helpful and simple to use. Had more features and less money. Everyone that helped me make the change was A ++++

Nachteile:

I didn’t really have any cons. Everything was super smooth and guys was rockstar’s that made it happen

I like how easy it is to learn and access. The ability to look up labor times is a huge help for this program also.

Nachteile:

As far as scheduling goes its just too cluttered. We still use google for scheduling but if that changes in the future that would be great!

Kommentare: Overall, First Rate and Top Notch! Customer Support has always been on top of things. I've referred ShopBoss to 2 other Shops and Help both of them get set up and it has been super smooth both times! Anytime me or my Crew have a problem, ShopBoss is on it! So, that is really nice! The system is pretty slick and does Work Nice, Dont Take my Cons as a personal insult.

Vorteile:

The Digital Inspections, and Texting/Emailing has really stepped up our game.

Nachteile:

We were 17 year Mitchel1 users, So coming from them to ShopBoss some of the things you can and cant do seem odd. Id like to be able to change the width of some of the items in the W.I.P.. Id like to be able to change the status( Inspection,Approval,Parts,Etc..) into my own custom labels and then color code them on the W.I.P.. I dont like the operation of a recomended Repair, I prefer the Revision(From Mitchel), basically an open quote stuck to the customers vehicle profile that I can see with out having to reopen. There seems to be a lot of Re opening things. Sometimes, Rarely, But Sometimes, The cloud base can be an Issue! It would be nice to have some sort of Server Based "imprint" or "Copy" for when there are Internet issues, either on my end or Shop Boss's end.

It just works! It's simple, easy, and intuitive. It's cloud based, amazing customer support, very affordable, and quick to learn

Nachteile:

Maybe the look of the software is a little dated? But it's still better than something like Mitchell or protractor.

Great program for a shop that is just starting

Kommentare: I've been really happy with Shop Boss. I had it recommended to me by a friend who has a shop, and I've recommended it to a few people also.

Vorteile:

I found Shop Boss really easy to use. It's really easy to set up for your shop. The customer service is extremely helpful and friendly. The price is right.

Nachteile:

The parts ordering integration is really the only thing I don't like about Shop Boss. In my option, it really doesn't save any time, as I still have to manually enter the PO number after I order the parts. Also, and this may be an issue with PartsTech, but if I go and add parts to an existing cart, it wants to add ALL the parts, not just the one(s) I added. Also, it I create multiple orders, and order from of them, all the orders get erased. If I decline a job, and then the customer comes back, I have to re-look up everything as the order isn't saved. In my opinion, once the parts integration issues get fixed, this will be a phenomenal product.

Auto repair invoicing.

Kommentare: I'm extremely happy with this program. I like the fact that I can access the program from work, home laptop, or smart phone.

Vorteile:

I like the invoicing parameters, the employee time sheets, the sales tax and accounting features. I also like the overview of daily, monthly or yearly spans of parts and labor pricing. I like the feature on emailing the estimate or the invoice to a client. I like that I can upload pictures to an invoice.

Nachteile:

Other than glitches now and again, I am extremely happy with this program. I am wondering if there is feature to download past history of invoices/customers incase something happens with the program or I go out of business in this location?

Kommentare: I've had the fortunate opportunity to work closely with a number of people at shopboss. Our business is always evolving and changing the way we do things. We are just a little different than most of our competitors. Shopboss is open to our suggestions and unique requests so that their software specifically fits our business model. I've never seen another company do that for us. The quality of their work is very high and keeps me excited about working with them to make shopboss the best it can be for us.

Vorteile:

The software is very intuitive and easy to use. New employees can walk in and start writing work orders almost immediately. The work flow is simple and makes logical sense walking the customer through the intake process. They have built in labor books, parts ordering, and texting that are easy to use and make the speed of service lightning fast. New features are constantly being released and improving the overall quality of the product.

Nachteile:

There isnt much bad to say about their product. They have experienced some growing pains as they expanded their customer base that effected service slightly. They have since corrected these issues. There are difficulties when working with a completely web based system but the benefits greatly exceed the cons.
