Good product and great customer support

Kommentare: Writing case notes was something that used to take a long time and required me to create a whole new note every time. Thanks to TherapyNotes I can create and reuse a template to save time and make notes more organized and easy to read. I love the fact that the notes are all stored in one location that I can quickly access regardless of whether I’m on my desktop computer at home or through my smartphone when I’m out in the community. The software also makes it easy to filter through in order to find specific notes which is very convenient.

Vorteile:

It makes writing case notes a breeze for mental health practitioners. It allows me to store all my case notes in one convenient place. This makes it really easy to access them whenever I need to and it also allows me to quickly filter through them to find any specific note I need to access.

Nachteile:

The price is quite steep for solo practitioners.

Not for prescribers

Kommentare: Not the worst but by far not the best either. Will be switching to a different system soon.

Vorteile:

Great therapy note template. Ease of charging copays to client. Easily pull in intake information, however some of the intake is pyschotherapy based and not medication provider based.

Nachteile:

Medication provider notes are all free text. The system constantly lags no matter what intenet connection I use or that I clear my internet history and cache daily. Tech support tells me that the lag is me and my connection. Sending prescriptions is a nightmare, the tab to aend prescriptions will disappear and then reappear and then that tab takes 2-3 minutes to load. Then if a prescription does not go through since this does not communicate with therapy notes there is no notification.

So Far, So Good

Kommentare: Overall, the experience has gone well. I am still a new user so issues my arise, but so far it is good.

Vorteile:

It is quite comprehensive, and the free version allows access to several functions.

Nachteile:

At this point in time, I do not have any complaints.

PMHNP friendly EHR, pricey e-Rx fees

Kommentare: Overall I would highly recommend this software. I only practice part time so I am frugal and try to keep my cost low as possible, but if you do not mind spending $780 a year to prescribe then you should be satisfied with this EHR.

Vorteile:

I loved the ease of set up. The importation of patient information from another EHR was quick. They have a to-do list on the initial screen that walks you through each step to set everything up as well. It assures you do not forget anything. When you log in the to-do list will appear so you can stay on top of tasks. I loved the integration of telehealth into the system and the charting template. You can also easily upload and share documents with patients. The customer service is great. They are really responsive and follow up to make sure that everything is good to go. They also personally reached out to see how I was enjoying the EHR which was nice. What I was really impressed with was how fast they set up the e-Rx and EPCS features. It takes other EHRs forever to get this done, especially the EPCS but they set both up in less than a week. They also assisted with setting up the PMP for my state. You can add multiple locations if you practice in more than one place which is really neat.

Nachteile:

The cost of the e-prescribe feature. At the time of this review it is currently $65/ month in addition to the base cost of the EHR. This is expensive compared to similar softwares. They should consider a one time set up fee for EPCS and lowering the cost of prescribing.

Great for most therapists, not customizable enough for me

Kommentare: I first used therapy notes as a staff clinician at a group practice. When I opened my own therapy practice, I started with Therapy Notes since I was familiar with the platform and generally liked them. I found the support team very helpful in getting me setup. TherapyNotes was easy for both me and my clients to use which was a plus. The biggest reason I ultimately chose a different platform was because I wanted more freedom and flexibility with my documentation such as intake paperwork and notes. The templates in TherapyNotes offered minimal customization and that was ultimately a dealbreaker for me.

Vorteile:

Very user friendly on both the clinician and client end. Affordable, especially for a smaller practice. Support team was great! Very responsive and helpful.

Nachteile:

I wanted forms that were more customizable. This was the biggest reason that I changed platforms. I appreciated that the standard forms included necessary information, but they were not customizable enough for my specific niche/client population.

Regretting Choosing Therapy Notes

Kommentare: I have been happy with the salesman and I think that he has tried to assist me the best he can but is confined by powers higher than he. I get the need to raise the prices but to go back on the original deal, I am sorry that I have chosen this software.

Vorteile:

The salesman was very knowledgeable and I liked that it was only for mental health. There are many features such as the telehealth, credit card processing and the client portal that was very attractive.

Nachteile:

They sold me on Therapy Notes with one price, then they back tracked on some pricing for supervisors. I complained and then they honored the original sale. Then before I had it for 30 days, they raised all the prices and went back on the original deal of not charging for supervisors. I have complained and they are sorry for my frustration but it remains the same - they sold me pricing on the software and then changed it all within 30 days. I am not happy.

Therapist Review

I wish the intake note was more comprehensive and directive; rather than just open text

When I conducted telehealth sessions the system would freeze a lot and was pretty inconsistent.

Accurate and accessible information

Kommentare: What I like best is that a human answers the phone and knows what they are talking about.
Also, I have a lot of balls in the air- it helps me keep my practice organized.

Vorteile:

The person who answers the phone can help me 90% of the time. If they can't help me they transfer me to someone who can.

Nachteile:

It was a learning curve to get set up in the beginning.

my first weerk with therapynotes

Kommentare: not much yet.

Vorteile:

I hope it will prevent the loss of records and improve the ease of retrieval of records when needed. It will use the same format for all records so less confusion or missed forms

Nachteile:

the program "requires" the insertion of a date of birth before the client can get signed in. Psychology today does not ask these questions when a client clicks in to see me. So no3w I have to call the client to get date of birth. Why can't we sign someone in and then ask for date of birth. Save amount of work and trying to call client or text them for this one piece of information

TherapyNotes is the best!

Kommentare: I have tried other "leading" mental health EHRs but they did not meet my needs and were not user friendly and did not provide the level of awesome customer support that TherapyNotes provides!

Vorteile:

TherapyNotes is user friendly and has the best customer support ever! They value feedback from users!

Nachteile:

They do not currently have a messaging option but they are currently working on it.

If you are not using Therapynotes, you are missing out

Kommentare: It is rare that you can find customer service of this quality in anything anymore. A real person, not an chatbot that can only answer concrete questions, no language barriers or "boxed" answers sending you down a rabbit hole. A real person responds quickly with simple and easy to implement instructions on any issue. I am not tech savvy and have never had any problems implementing all aspects of this platform. I have been in healthcare for nearly 40 years and have never seen such a truly wonderful product.

Vorteile:

I have used TN for 10 years without one single negative experience. The customer service is incredible, fast, through answers to any issue. This was especially appreciated when I opened my private practice and was using TN for the first time. The customer service has remained excellent in my ten years as a customer. Scheduling, EMR, billing and accounting are just so easy, anyone can do it.

Nachteile:

The only thing I wish they would add is an automatic transfer of discontinued medication into a past med trial section. That would be really helpful, so that you don't have to review your notes to see what your prescribed in the past.

TherapyNotes is unable to provide the service we are paying for!

Vorteile:

The platform has been relatively easy to use and cost effective. They do have glitches at times where the telehealth platform doesn’t work. I know it’s their platform because I am able to leave and use zoom or Psych Today with ease when this happens.

Nachteile:

TherapyNotes has not handled the situation with Change Healthcare in a way that makes business sustainable for providers. They have waited to change clearinghouses when other EHR’s have been able to do it all due to their ancient coding and inability to pivot as every other EHR in the country did in days or just a week or so following the attack. When voicing our opinion about how they continue to charge us our monthly fees while not providing the service we need and signed up for they refuse to take ownership of the issue and are trying to silence us from voicing our opinions on the matter. I have been blocked from their facebook group for bringing attention to the issue. They continue to make promises that they are working on the inability to file claims through their platform yet there is no solutions. Other software platforms are doing it and have been. This business is doing just fine taking our money for monthly subscriptions while we individual providers continue to struggle. They cannot be trusted.

Not for med providers

Kommentare: Not made for psychiatric medication providers. The support and development team is not very open to suggestions on how to develop templates to be more user-friendly for providers. The medication database is outdated and missing many current medications, when notified support about psychiatry templates missing medications, I was told that the matter would be looked at over a month ago, and no response. The TherapyNotes system is repeatedly lagging and freezing during the afternoon, it is not because of Wifi as I connect to the internet via ethernet cable, it does not matter if I am the only person in the building or not, it still lags and freezes. There is no patient messaging system as most medication providers have for patients, this just means pt have to contact via email and another internet screen has to be open. So use with caution.

So many good things. Consistent industry leader

Kommentare: Whenever I call, I get great support from kind, knowledgeable people.

Vorteile:

They keep adding more features to make the platform robust and meeting all of our practice needs.

Nachteile:

In the past, was quite frustrated with not being able to upload client insurances cards, ROIs, and and not having built in patient messaging, but all of these issues have been addressed.

Stay away from them.

Vorteile:

None as of lately. They have changed everything that they started with.

Nachteile:

Absolute garbage! 2 days the eRx doesn't work. Waiting in a queue will easily take 45-60 mins. Website has been glitching for months. No compensation or sincere apologies for wasting our time. It used to be good when it started now they just seem greedy for cash and up charge for everything with no customer service. We are moving to another platform. SO disappointed. You will be wasting your time which is money so don't just judge them by price.

Excellent EHR

Vorteile:

I love therapy notes. I transitioned just before the pandemic (thank god) and it made it easy to maintain my notes and do my billing no matter where I was seeing clients from. The support staff is absolutely fabulous - they are responsive and knowledgeable. A rare find in this day and age!

Nachteile:

There really isn't anything to complain about...

Satisfied customer

Kommentare: Excellent in friendly and knowledgeable support services, set up to keep me compliant, helpful portal forms (which they keep adding to, recently setting up a self-fillable option), allowing me to do notes, forms, scheduling, and billing all in one place.

Vorteile:

I like that TherapyNotes is specifically targets my profession and my needs as a private practitioner, considering that my skill set is in therapy, not computers. I purchased their services initially to help me stay compliant to current standards in the profession, but I also found them to provide friendly and helpful support, and they keep adding features that make my job easier. I love the constant innovation and the responsiveness of the company to user needs and requests.

Nachteile:

I truly and satisfied and so grateful they're out there.

Medical Records User

Kommentare: I've used lots of EMR/Charting, etc. programs, and Therapy Notes is the easiest, most comprehensive one yet! Support is great, too!

Vorteile:

Easy to use, All-in-one use - scheduling, charting, Patient Portal, Deomographics, Billing Info!

Nachteile:

I can't think of anything, other than maybe not being able to search certain criteria in specific formats, like DOB, address, or phone. But, that's not really been an issue, I just had to complete this box before I could submit my review! =)

Simple easy platform

Kommentare: Excellent. There are a few things lacking but I’ve switched platforms and then switched back to therapy notes Because it was just better.

Vorteile:

Really easy to get up and go with a practice. Customer support is the BEST

Nachteile:

No secondary billing, patient portal or form customization

--Consistency and reliability of the telehealth they provide is inconsistent (sometimes the client or I have difficulty figuring out how to correct problems with logging on, audio, visuals that freeze up or are extremely pixelated, etc., despite me paying a bit extra for "high definition" telehealth) --I wish that more things were customizable (and that those which are customizable were more easily customizable)...though I would point out that TherapyNotes has made huge strides with improving this over the last six months

I love that I can do everything on one platform, scheduling, billing, documentation. All is one. I also love how fast and effective the customer support is. they are always very positive and helpful and patient. When i call I am frustrated at times because I have been trying to figure it out and they are so kind and patient that it calms me down right away. I know they will stay with me till it makes sense, and it is fixed!

Nachteile:

hmmm. I wish the billing part was a bit more user friendly.

I highly recommend Therapy Notes; do not hesitate to try it

Kommentare: I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy the overall experience I have with Therapy Notes. I actually get excited each time I log in and genuinely have fun with the clinical administrative portion of my job. I used it when I worked in a practice in a fee-share arrangement and didn't even think twice about choosing it for my private practice!

Vorteile:

I really enjoy the aesthetics of the user interface. Navigating the EHR is intuitive and does not require a great deal of technical savvy.

Nachteile:

I would like ROIs to be added to the library. :-) Other than this, nothing.
