Vorteile:

I guess it's easy to use, but it's kinda clunky. Programming is inconsistent across different devices.

Nachteile:

Things go wrong, the printer drops offline a lot and needs help getting back. Sometimes its the wifi that reconfigures to a different wifi, sometimes the printer just randomly stops working.

Kommentare: very pleasant. hardware has its drawbacks, but overall the back office of lavu is user friendly, support team is competent with a high sense of urgency and the processing fee is perfect for organizations watching their bottom line.

Vorteile:

No costs for hardware, ease of use once set up, availability of [sensitive content hidden] and his team during the launch. [sensitive content hidden] has also been very accessible after the set up with follow up questions and concerns.

Nachteile:

hardware. cash register is bulky, credit card reader requires an actual port to work. i would prefer an all in one, wifi unit with a display screen for the customer.

Service has been readily available to answer questions. Staff are kind and available.

Nachteile:

There are several functions that are not yet available or not best suited for our needs and for our business style and key protection for our industry with user levels are lacking. The functionality for our complex needs needs to be improved.

It is not an ERP system, it's just a POS system. We have to switch to an ERP that also has POS.

Kommentare: I had switched from Touch Bistro to Lavu. Lavu is 100 times less stressful to learn and use.

Vorteile:

Very simple to use and learn. 24 hour Customer support is very understandable and makes troubleshooting very easy.

Nachteile:

So far there is nothing I like least about Lavu

Kommentare: Been using it for a couple months, so far, it's been an alright experience...not much to complain about

Vorteile:

-Their user interface is beginner friendly and pretty straightforward. -Customer Service is very helpful in solving issues

Nachteile:

On the back end, as someone using the control panel often, there are some complications that could be put forward in a simpler way. E.g Multiple store locations are all separated on the control panel with no option for one big "All Stores"

Kommentare: So far, my experience with Lavu has been great! My on boarding consultant, [sensitive content hidden] was absolutely tremendous. She had a lot of patience and explained everything on my level so I was able to understand! I have never had a POS system provider that walked you through step by step on how to hook the equipment up! That was such a relief! Support staff, oh my gosh, they call and check on you the next day to see if everything is working! Wow!

Vorteile:

Initially it was the price that caught my attention. Then the availability to be able to watch tutorials on the product.

Nachteile:

I would have to say, I haven't found anything I don't like yet.

I am just starting in the Food Truck world and need a workable system but I work a full time job so I get home late and [sensitive content hidden] was able to work it out for training to happen after work and everyone was so nice and so helpful!!

Nachteile:

on my go live i had problems with my hotspot but that is the only thing and you can't help with that..

Not for the faint of heart

Kommentare: POOR. Much was left to the user to setup and install. We got through that without too much difficulty but we have a hardware issue that the “no-service” department wants to treat as a software setup issue. After two days of customer “no-support” we determined that we had a hardware issue. The LAVU no-customer service department fix was for us to drive the hardware 2.5 hours each way to a service center to have them repair a printer that was not used 1 time.

Seemed like the product was a good value with useful tools. Operative word is seemed

Excellent restaurant POS!

Vorteile:

Ease of use, different levels of access based on employee type, excellent customer service

Nachteile:

Occassionally the app glitches and it creates mistakes on the server end that need to be untangled.

Best POS for the money

It’s easy to implement and low upkeep coat make it a win win system.

Nachteile:

If the internet is down so is your ability to process cards if you process through Lavu.

Do not trust Lavu with payment information

But essentially, after a miserable year of trying to get Lavu to stop incorrectly and excessively charging my credit card. I switched away with a zero balance. Then this morning, a year and a half later, got a new bill for $188 which the customer service representative refused to cancel. When will they stop?

Vorteile:

For a short term, I saved money on processing with Lavu/PayPal over when Square increased their rate, until Lavu started randomly charging amounts to my credit cards.

Nachteile:

Relentless billing issues. New charges without disclosure or agreement. Absolutely incompetent customer service. Less functional product than other POS.

It's poised to enable any sized restaurant to implement modern growth, table side ordering, time clocks for employees, online ordering and quick serve options are easily implemented when you have Lavu as the foundation.

Vorteile:

The capabilities! QuickBooks, online ordering, QR code setup, payroll, all run from my iPad! Perfection.

Nachteile:

The time to build the menu… but I did have 401 items and modifiers and a bar and restaurant
