Ganttic Review

Kommentare: Ganttic has been instrumental in reporting data for scheduling, planning out resources and capacity, and showcasing what products are scheduled to run. I have really enjoyed being able to easily access the tools I needed when I worked in supply chain to understand what we'd need to move and what processes take longer than others. It was relatively inexpensive for the quality and features it provides.

Vorteile:

The graphics are very high quality and the features are really helpful to visualize capacity, especially the reports and charts. They create easy visuals for me to report out at a high level, but they also can be as detailed as necessary. I like all the filters because I can pick and choose what I would like to report out and can alter them easily and just refresh the page to see new equipment or resources.

Nachteile:

It is not as user-friendly as the team had anticipated. It is very intuitive for people who have experience working with scheduling software, but for newcomers, it takes a bit to get used to and some of the FAQs are not as descriptive as we would like. However, after working with it for a while, it becomes second nature.

Kommentare: saving time with live updates to the technician workloads and not requiring to send them schedules and amended schedules

Vorteile:

changing required details for large job scales and rescheduling small jobs between technicians

Nachteile:

restricted options in views to see technicians workloads together

Decent software but the mobile interface is weak.

Kommentare: We have to send less emails for scheduling and it really helps the team plan days off and vacation.

Vorteile:

Time to deploy and ease of speed to show users how to use it. The price seemed fair.

Nachteile:

The interface on smart phones is very poor. It needs a zoom in and out function/

The search function is a bit long winded to use - can this be made easier to search within Ganttic

Ganttic for recourse planning

Kommentare: We use Ganttic to allocate our workforce to about 150 different projects every year. Our work is often moved in time. We can easy re-allocate our workforce, we and also get a good overview over our capacity.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use, the good overview we get of our workforce. (who do what and when can a new task be assigned) We activly use Ganttic for allocating employee for each project and task.

Nachteile:

I would like to have a better seach funktion in Ganttic

Love Ganttic

Kommentare: As someone who is in charge of 14 technicians working throughout the country, remote communication is critical to our success. Ganttic allows me to manage an ever-changing schedule while automatically communicating the details of projects with technicians in the field. It's easy to use and customer support has been good so far. The only recommendation I would give is to provide tutorials on setting up the sync function with Google Calendar as soon as you sign up for Ganttic. It was a little trial and error at first until I was able to get in touch with customer support. A few short tips allowed me to get synced with my employees' calendars. I recommend it.

Vorteile:

The visual scheduling for my technicians in the field and managing an ever-changing (daily and sometimes hourly) schedule. As things change, I can see who's available.

Nachteile:

Training or tutorials could be improved. I know there is a lot more functionality than what I use, but it isn't obvious where to find the training. Report functions could be improved. When I run reports, I have a hard time filtering the reports for only the information I desire. One function I wish they had is a daily summary of how many people and jobs are scheduled. Right now, I have a separate Gant chart in excel that I use to list projects and ID my personnel demand per day. This would be beneficial in forecasting employee utilization and growth demands.

Vorteile:

Visibility. I like how easy it is to see at a glance what's up and coming.

Nachteile:

The timespan of my default view is the current week to the end of the following month. I don't like that on the first day of each mew month I am unable to feel the following month's data until Midday.

Easy to use ERP, cheap and efficient, great to customise to your company needs.

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

Would be really nice to add files to a task ( pdf, jpg, sheets etc) Would be nice to customise app notifications. Now it's just a on/off function, this leads (in my case) to a notification every time a user as much as views a task.

How easy it is to navigate around Ganttic and use the platform for our business.

Nachteile:

I really don't have a specific thing that i dislike from Ganttic.

Perfect tool for our project portfolio management

Kommentare: We have searched and compared over 50 tools in the market and Ganttic was the best choice for our needs.

Vorteile:

Ganttic proved to be the best tool for our needs, it's very user friendly and didn't require much training. Support was great to help with the first steps and setup.

Nachteile:

The inability to limit users view to specific projects only.

Kommentare: I have been using Ganttic for a couple years now I think it is a great tool and I would never want to go without it. the web version of Ganttic I am really impressed with, the Ganttic app I really expected more. What the app does have is great I was expecting to be able to see the schedule for all of the guys as a whole instead of just seeing the individuals schedule that you click on also I was expecting to be able to make schedule changes on the app version as well. Maybe I am wrong and you can do all of this stuff I just got the app and haven't played with it much so I could be wrong here. Thank you.

Vorteile:

being able to schedule multiple people on the same job and also looking at an expanded view and seeing 1-2-3 weeks ahead

Nachteile:

I wish that when I have multiple resources on one task I could change 1 individual resources timeline and not affect the others. For example, I have 3 employees scheduled for Monday Tuesday and Wednesday on one job, when I need to change just one of those 3 employees to say work only Monday and Tuesday I have to delete that task from that resource and create a new one to show only the two days instead of the three.

Simple but efficient

Kommentare: My task was to get a fast and clear overview on available staff and work that needs being done. SO I started to set up a resource called "Tasks not assigned" and then added all my people to the system. Now anyone can add a task and I can easily assign these tasks to available people, while at the same time being aware of availability of resources. My crew has "read-only" access, so they know exactly what is going on, where their colleagues are and what will happen in the coming weeks. This is NOT a project management tool, which I don't need, as I need to keep track of resources rather than projects!

Vorteile:

Web-based, real-time update on changes, clear structure

Nachteile:

I had some issues with "all-day" tasks and local timezones. To overcome this, my PC is now set to the Timezone of the company's HQ. I would like a more flexible User model. If I have 1 resource more than the license allows, I need to buy the complete next package, which is over the top for me.

Perfect tool to schedule your activities

Kommentare: The experience of using Ganttic is easy and intuitive. The software has greatly simplified the scheduling process, making it more efficient and precise.

Vorteile:

Ganttic is easy to use, even for non-technical users. The interface is intuitive and offers a wide range of functionality.

Nachteile:

Ganttic is a versatile and easy-to-use project planning software. I have not encountered any problems or negative aspects that would adversely affect my user experience.

Good but can be improved

Kommentare: Very happy with it.

Vorteile:

Resource planning and ease of use. The fact that it is easy to add new resources and users.

Nachteile:

The fact that the Ganttic does not remeber how each user select to show the collapsable resource view.

Steep learning curve, but once you're familiar with Ganttic, you realize how amazing it is

Kommentare: We have had a couple of product demo sessions with [sensitive content] in Customer Support. He is great to work with, responds promptly to our questions, and seems genuinely interested in helping us maximize the extent we use Ganttic in our processes.
One item that might be helpful would be to expand the timeframe(s) for available online meetings/demos. We are on the west coast in the United States and the only available slots are usually at 6 am in the morning or late at night our time.

Vorteile:

We were looking for a program to help plan out our crew's availability and schedule more than just one week out. Ganttic does all this and more. The filters and multiple views are great. Notifications for our subcontractors and billing department are also a plus. The more we implement this, the more processes we discover Ganttic can help us streamline.

Nachteile:

The dependencies and lag times between tasks need some work to be more in line with typical Gannt charts. The drag and drop function to assign tasks to resources is a little tricky in that you can easily change the date of a task by accident if you are not careful.

Kommentare: We use Ganttic for scheduling our resources. It has become a necessary and vital part of our business operations. We now are able to clearly see any complications in scheduling to meet customers expectations. Ganttic is a valuable tool for our business.

Vorteile:

Ease of use, access through the internet, value

Nachteile:

Insert function not available. To insert a task in an occupied time slot requires all the later task to be moved manually to make room for the insert. Would be desirable if later tasks automatically moved to allow for the added task.

Quick and easy - getting things done!

Kommentare: Reduction of communication noise. Easy way to work on a central version of resource schedule.

Vorteile:

We use Ganttic to schedule resources for number of projects (customer site visits). Its super easy to define the projects and add resources. Tool allows you to quickly get things going. Keeping the resource schedule information and ability to share it with customer brought the management of this area to next level. Lot less email/communicator noise. Also I am very happy with the customer support - they are very responsive and always willing to help.

Nachteile:

Only two - mobile application is not so easy and flexible and there is no UNDO function. Once you delete something you have to do it again or contact support to get it from backup (it works, tested!).

Project portfolio management wirhout getting into the weeds

Vorteile:

We use Ganttic to forecast our project portfolio, not daily tasks. It is simple to learn and easy to use. Not bloated with bells and whistles that make other software difficult and expensive.

Nachteile:

Would like to set repetitive tasks that can autopopulate colors and duration.

Flexible scheduling tool for multiple users

Kommentare: We have realized that we can have multiple departments on the same page with resource scheduling. We can also give our employees a real time look at changes that happen frequently

Vorteile:

Easy for new users to understand and customization to make it user friendly

Nachteile:

The ability to easily change dates for assigned tasks when they are not linked or when they are split up into weekly or daily groupings

Kommentare: It's good, meets my needs for scheduling and reports.

Vorteile:

It is easy to use, transparent and easy to share.

Nachteile:

I use the function "Generate reports in csv format" and when someone puts a comma inside any text it causes a problem in my report.

In favor of Ganttic

Kommentare: We under utilize it!

Vorteile:

Simple schedules all departments - clean easy view.

We have not really explored it enough - our issue

simple resource planning

Vorteile:

easy to implement and setup. good Matrix view from Projects and Resources. exclent for planning multiple projects in multiple teams.

Nachteile:

missing handling of subtasks. an additional level in grouping of resources would be great.

We are new users and this shared scheduling solution has helped us by have increased visibility

Kommentare: Were are more organized and this our helps our customers and employees

Vorteile:

Visibility by multiple departments and our team in the field via their mobile phones. This allows our team to get updates on their schedules and provide status or add notes as needed.

Nachteile:

I can not go back, If I make a change and then want to go back, to the previous schedule prior to the change, I cannot.
