Kommentare: It was the most cost effective and low impact solution for us to automate and integrate address correction.

Vorteile:

From the initial purchase through the final testing the integration of Smarty to our proprietary e-commerce and ERP platform was easy. The API was simple to understand, coded, and has very fast response times. This allowed us to have minimal impact on customer and user facing interactions.

Nachteile:

Testing. It's hard to find the right combinations of addresses scenarios to test validations and corrections. There is also the 1 in 100,000 addresses that while USPS valid, just do not validate well through the API call. However, we have submitted such problems and they do get corrected by Smarty fairly quickly.

Nachteile:

The API management console on Smarty needs improvement. I feel various features are missing, for example, detail of traffic sources and volume on various apis, api throttling configuration, api tagging to manage various keys inside large organization, user management with various roles, etc.

Even with variations in address formats, abbreviations, or misspellings, the tool constently delivers precise parsing results. The ability to validate US addresses is also great, the tool ensures only accurate and deliverable addresses are accepted.

Nachteile:

While the address validation tool offers impressive parsing and validation capabilities, there are a few considerations to keep in mind. The international address verification is expensive. The account manager was not able to offer a lower tier based on our volume usage. And there's limitation with parsing international addresses, which we are still leveraging multiple third party vendors. The address format vary significantly across countries, so might worth to improve the data quality in response country by country.

I think the bulk data processing in Smarty is not great. I see a lot of potential for companies that need to do a one-time-data-cleansing struggling with the API until incremental batches are possible. Or maybe this was already fixed, but was my impressions when I started working with Smarty

Kommentare: No complaints. They had the right solutions for us with flexible pricing plans that changed with us. Been a satisfied customer for 10+ years.

Vorteile:

Their online tools to manage your account are extensive as is the documentation and examples for integrating new products. Their online chat has always been helpful in working through issues. Address autocomplete works great to help reduce user friction and user input errors.

Nachteile:

Our implementation of the address autocomplete stopped working and it was because they stopped supporting jsonp. Fortunately, the fix was as easy as not passing dataType: "jsonp" in my ajax call, but it would have been nice to have received a notification about this.

Kommentare: Overall, we are pleased with Smarty. It works well for our use and with international address validation it covers all our customers and does it at a significantly lower cost than our previous address verification solution.

The APIs are super easy to use. The documentation and support is top notch. The address validation services are critical for our business and saves staff time from having to manually process address validations/corrections with other software solutions. After starting with Smarty our returned mail has reduced dramatically.

Was a little TOO easy to implement. Now management expects us to perform more "wizardry" in other areas.

Kommentare: Smarty is a high-quality address verification and geocoding service, with SDK that supports all major programming languages/environments. It is very competitively priced and provides good great value comparing to other providers in this space.

Vorteile:

Intuitive, well documented API and great and reliable SLAs

Nachteile:

Prior to release of Rooftop Geocoding functionality, the geocoding was not on par with other providers in this space. However, after the release, geocoding quality is very competitive with higher end providers that change a lot more.

Kommentare: Since we have started using Smarty near the beginning of their inception, we have had nothing but great experiences using their product. They have consistently been more affordable than any alternatives while providing comparable services. 10/10 would recommend.
