It's CPU and memory hungry, slow computer will take forever for the report to run.

The ease of use and customized reports allows us visibility into our data and allows us to dissect complex data and correct any production or inventory issues in real time

There could be better visualization tools.

Jet Reports - Efficient and Powerful

Kommentare: Jet Reports works great for data query and financial reporting. It is fast and powerful. Support is great.

Vorteile:

Jet Reports is an extremely efficient and easy-to-use data query and reporting solution. It uses the power and familiarity of Excel. We use it to create all our financial statements and other ad hoc financial reporting needs. Many of our monthly workpapers use the query power of Jet to bring data in to analyze. I wouldn’t be able to do my job effectively without Jet Reports.

Nachteile:

Some of the more advanced features of Jet Reports are a little more difficult to learn. Our Jet Reports consultant, [sensitive content hidden], has been amazing at creating any report we asked for. Jet Reports, along with [sensitive content hidden] help, has saved our company many hours in processing and analyzing data efficiently.

Jet Analytics setup can be complex, depending on multi-dimensional accounting codes and GL accounts. Vorteile:

Jet Reports is intuitive, easy to learn, and Excel-based. The Excel-based reporting feature quickly enabled our Accounting team to learn, write reports, and deploy. Accounting team is able to develop reports without depending on IT department and archaic reporting methods that require programming knowledge.

Nachteile:

The more complex reports may render blank rows and values, but with Excel tips/tricks, users are able to improve the appearance and report details.

Flexible and robust

Kommentare: I have been using Jet reports for about 11+ years and it's been a great experience overall.

Vorteile:

Jet reports gives us a lot of flexibility in writing reports. From the simplest data dump to complex reports linking various tables, we can do so much with it.

Nachteile:

Lack of documentation. There is some out there, which is great, but it would be helpful to have more learning resources.

Once you learn how to build jet reports. Reporting is endless.

Nachteile:

It's not as user friendly at first. Definitely need some training videos.

Fund Accounting Sylogist/Jet Reports

Kommentare: It is a very flexible tool and is a huge time saver!!! I can create a report that can be used for a new period and save a lot of time.

Vorteile:

Ability to retrieve large amounts of data. Also ability to retireve very small specif data and save some processing formulas in excel.

Nachteile:

Customizing reports can be a litte challenging some times

Vorteile:

Once you learn how to create reports, it can be a very useful tool. Easy to run reports once created.

Nachteile:

it can be difficult to create reports when a novice. If you have a lot of data, spreadsheets that replicate and while using the GL function, can be timely.

Customizable reports with Jet Reports

Vorteile:

Users can design reports directly within Excel, leveraging familiar tools and functions. Once you are confident with the Jet functions, building report becomes very easy.

Nachteile:

The learning curve, while manageable, can be a bit steep for users who are not familiar with Excel or ERP systems, requiring additional time and resources for training.

Jet Reports Review

Kommentare: The infrastructure of staging database and data warehouse and cubes made it difficult to learn and maintain. I would recommend Power BI against Jet Reports as the BI solution.

Vorteile:

The cube and data warehouse for the out of box data structure of the existing ERP systems made the development of the reports to be easier.

Nachteile:

The complexity of the infrastructure requires people who has advanced IT skills and SQL query skills to maintain it and develop custom cubes.

Excel based product that's very flexible.

Kommentare: Flexibility in designing and running reports.

Vorteile:

Very flexible and works well with Microsoft Dynamics. Ease in creating and designing reports. If you know excel, you know Jet.

Nachteile:

It takes a while to run a report that has about 31 columns and 722 rows of jet formulas and sometimes ends up freezing the software.
